The hotel said that there is a full kitchen but there is NOTHING in it - no cutlery, dishes, pots, dish towels, etc. There was no coffee maker, coffee or condiments and no coffee provided in the lobby. There was no blow dryer in the bathroom and no toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). The front office staff stated they are an extended stay hotel so does that mean you need to take all your dishes, pots/pans, coffee maker, etc??? Not likely. It was budget friendly - obviously for a reason, what hotel in North America doesn’t have a blow dryer these days?? The carpet was dirty as were the curtains. The air conditioning unit was not working properly. Would not stay here again.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was extremely dirty and rundown—it honestly shouldn’t even be available for guests. There was visible mold on the towel racks, and the overall condition of the room was unacceptable.

The pillows were paper-thin and uncomfortable, and nothing about the space felt clean or maintained. On top of that, the room looked nothing like the pictures advertised, which was very misleading.

I would not recommend staying here at all. It’s absolutely not worth the money—save yourself the frustration and find somewhere better.

They made me move after one night. When I moved it was extremely rushed by staff. I missed a couple of personal belongings. When I went back the desk staff said that housekeeping threw it away when I was only a floor away. I ended up losing about $50 dollars of personal items.

Problem was why did I have to move? Why was it necessary and when I went back to first room there was no one checked it.

I would stay at Suburban again and the fees added were truly never discussed or made clear.

They had bed bugs. I was bitten & noticed the bites while I was out for the day to go work. I called to speak to management and they told me she would call me back. She never did so I reached out to hotels.com and customer service reached out to the front desk to only be told I wouldn’t get a refund but moved to another room. When I got back to the hotel the front desk person said the manager said I couldn’t get refunded because I walked past the front desk on my way out with the bed bug bites and didn’t notify anybody which was a lie, I didn’t notice the bed bug bites until I left and started itching at work.

We had a long wait to check in because no one was at the desk. The typical clientele are…up all night. Ignoring their crying, screaming children. The hallways and bathrooms smell like pot. It was cheap and we last-minute needed a place to stay; we got what we paid for.

If you want a place to stay with “family friendly” guests, find another place. If you’re fine with mingling with the type of people to scream in the hallways at 2am because they’re too out of their mind to realize how late it is, you’ll feel right at home here.

The staff *Rachelle and CiCi) were VERY friendly and helpful! The lobby looked up to date and clean.

However the rest of the building had an odd smell. The room was fine (2 queens) was mostly clean, but the stove top needed a deep clean.

If you are looking for an extended stay due to housing the price is definitely right. Just be aware that, unlike other extended stays, you have to pay extra for pans and dishes. For a weekend or vacation, I wouldn't be likely to stay again.

The photos online are obviouslyfrom when it was new. The room was very faded and older feeling. The doors to the pool area were blacked out, and the area is no longer in use. That was a disappointment, because having a pool was part of why I picked this place.

Overall, the staff was FABULOUS, but we aren't likely to stay here again.

Room was dark. Carpet was dirty, one light hanging with wires coming out, only chair looked as if a cat used it for a scratching post, room card had to be changed twice because it quit working, toilet lid hung too close to the handle so had to remove lid to flush, closet with no hangers, bring your own. Overhead bathroom light burnt out. But they did provide two plastic cups & a small bar of soap. The entire place smelled of fried anything every evening due to construction or seasonal workers living there.

We checked into the property, went to our room, looked around and noticed it was not very clean. There were toe nail clippings on the floor, what looked to be boogers on the wall, blood on the lamp shade, and over all not clean at all. We decided to leave right away, and checked out. I stayed here as it was an affordable option, but regretted this choice right away. The lady at the front desk was friendly and apologized.

Price was right for a quick stay in town for an athletic tournament. However the pillows were horrible and for a king sized bed there were only two usable thin, hard, flat pillows. Plus only two small sized towels for two adults. But if you're looking for a no frills stay with a kitchenette so you can bring your own food, this is the place. Staff was super friendly!!

Our room as well as the property were clean and neat. The staff at check-in was nice and friendly. The bedding was not appropriate for the weather. The blankets were not adequate and there weren't any extras in the room and I was cold all night. We turned up the thermostat but I was still cold. I didn't check at the desk for extras, but I would expect more in the room. Overall this was a nice stay for the price.

The check-in staff was friendly and efficient. It went downhill from there. The room's carpet and kitchen tile was very stained and dirty. The bathroom, however, was very clean. The room was extremely cold and the wall thermostat did not respond so we had to use the controls on the heater to get the room to a comfortable temp. The sheets and blanket on the bed were thin. No comforter. Only three pillows for a king bed. No shampoo or conditioner in the room. Even though there is a \"kitchen\" in the room, no dishes or utensils are provided. The cabinets were outdated and in need of repair. The cost of the room was less than $100 - I guess you get what you pay for. However, it was quiet but then there wasn't many people staying there.

It was okay. Lots of random inconviences though. Took awhile to get let in and was late at night and we were all really tired and just stood there for 15 minutes for door to open
then the batteries in the remote would not work so we couldnt change the channel, we asked for more pilows but they said they had no more and it was just one pillow that was very flat, when i put my phone charger in, it got smokey and I had to take it out and remove it. Just wasnt a great experience.. luckily we were so tired we just crashed but wouldnt reccomend.

The lady at counter was very nice & friendly when greeted us when we arrived to checked in. After we went to our 1st room.. it was not clean. It smelled like lice spray & cigarettes. The room smelled badly, sticky stuff on floor & counters & gum stuck inside the drawers. Even the walls had food or something on them. Pillows were stained & gross. Stains all over carpet. Pistachio shells all over the floor by bed & 1 bed looked like it was slept in. The bathroom had pee on the floor. Empty water bottle behind chair in corner by bed. She moved us to different room. After moving to New room we had to ask for it to be cleaned as well. The floor needed vacuuming & chair needed sprayed & i wiped the bathroom counter with a kleenex & it was not cleaned. It had men's facial hair from shaving & nasty stuff on it. I took a video of it while doing it. The employee did what she could for us & I thanked her for that but the rooms are gross. Online advertised a pool & when we arrived we found out the pool is empty & not working since 2020. The advertised pillow top mattress is a very used thin added layer topper they add to the bed under the over sized low quality sheets. App will not let me add my photos.

The only downside was the front desk wasn't always manned and they closed and locked the door at 8 o'clock which I thought was a little early.

When we went down and complained about it she said she knew the smell was bad as someone stayed there for a month with a dog. Sent us to another room was not much better, but told us it was the only room left. If it was not so late, and booked on Hotels.com we would have gone some place else. My stay at Suburban Studios Cedar Falls was disappointing. Upon arrival at 3:30, 30 minutes after check-in, our room was in disarray—AC unit dismantled, bed bare, and coffee maker in the sink. Despite seeking assistance, the unattended front desk offered little help, leaving us to wait 30 minutes for a partially cleaned room. The facility seemed more suited for long-term stays, evident in worn-out fixtures, No cover in the overhead lights, a bed side lamp that didn’t even work, and no phone in the room to call for service.
Service inconsistency reached new heights when we returned at 9. An almost-empty toilet paper roll, two pillows (pictures online showed 4 pillows on the bed) that could double as bricks, and a front desk MIA. Attempts to rectify this situation were met with annoyance, as we were directed to a public bathroom down the hall. The perpetually absent front desk left only an on-call phone as our companion, emphasizing their stellar customer service. Each time we went by the front desk (during their open hours) there was never anyone there and you had to use the on call phone.
Throughout the night, disruptive noise and a pervasive cigarette odor permeated the hallways. Security concerns arose with a faulty door latch, requiring constant jiggling to secure. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell far short of expectations, emphasizing the need for significant improvements in both service and facility maintenance.

I saw the 2 star rating and thought, it’s just one night and it’s cheap. I’m sure it will be fine. It was not. The room smelled like gross food had been cooked there and taken permanent residence. Lots of stains on the carpet. The heater did not work. Beds were really uncomfortable. Not even a separate bar of soap for the shower. Nobody available for checkout. On a positive note, the person who checked us in was very kind, as was the person who I talked to on the phone to do a verbal check out.

I have stayed at many extended stays and this was by far the worst. The desk clerk was pleasant and it was cheap (comparatively speaking), beyond that very disappointing.
There was nothing at all in the cupboards. Not a dish, pan, or even a spork. No paper towels. Only 2 disposable plastic cups with the plastic wrap torn and replaced. Made me wonder if they were just re-using them.
I honestly don't think the bedding had been washed.
Luckily, I was desperate and tired enough to not care at the time.

That was all rather odd, but considering that this is an extended stay motel that was merely renting an empty room to folks just passing through, it made sense. No desk clerk, just a phone, so had to wait quite a while to check in. Otherwise, a good stay.

Room smelled strongly of urine after check in, staff unhelpful to resolve the issue so I had to leave and book another room at another hotel. Repeated attempts to contact management have been unsuccessful.
