We had a lovely stay as a family of 4 at Chogogo! It was our first time to Bonaire and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It is more of a laid back, less resort feel than all-inclusives in other islands we'd been to but we quite enjoyed that. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with a kitchen (almost full kitchen, there is no oven or microwave but we made do), dining area, living room, and a full bathroom in each bedroom. We really enjoyed the patio off the villa with ample seating and easy access to the lazy river. We rented a truck from the front desk at Chogogo, which proved to come in quite handy as there is no public transportation on the island. We took a taxi to Chogogo when we arrived and back to the airport when we left but other than that we drove the truck we rented and explored the island nearly daily. There is a dive shop on the resort compound and you can rent snorkeling and diving gear. We just snorkeled with our children and saw the prettiest fish we'd ever seen! We ate at one of the restaurants at Chogogo a couple of times, cooked a lot of meals and tried out different restaurants on the island. All in all it was an amazing trip and we can't wait to return!

The property was great, loved the lazy river, beach bar and the easy access to snorkeling right off the beach. Plenty of chairs available throughout the day to hang out by the pool or the beach. We visited several snorkel spots throughout the island but think the snorkeling from the beach at Chogogo was the best on the island.

Our stay at Chogogo was 10/10! Upon arrival we were upgraded to a better room. The front desk was very helpful with any questions that we had. The room was large and clean and had a beautiful view with a large balcony. The beach and pool areas were great for lounging. Not too busy at all. There were plenty of lounge chairs in the sun as well as cabanas in the shade for us to use throughout our stay. The staff at the restaurant were very attentive and nice. The food and drinks here were very good, we came here almost every day of our trip. We checked out a shower room because we had a later flight and it was very clean and a great perk for those who have later flights and need to check out at noon. All staff was very friendly. All outlets were euro outlets but the front desk had converters that they gave us for free. The snorkeling on the beach was very good as well.

Chogogo is a perfect destination in Bonaire to relax and explore. Located near Barí Reef, there is snorkeling within steps of your door. The Barí Bar is a great place to chill and relax and enjoy the nightly music offerings.

Family dive vacation. Booked adjoining rooms, they called it a suite. Each had an efficiency kitchen, balcony, own bathroom. The dive center was just out front. People have commented on lack of blankets and towels. You just need to ask at front desk. The air conditioning was perfect. We also found lounge chairs available

This hotel is in a great location with easy access to the water. The only thing that could have been better was the service. It really takes some effort to get food and drinks which is pretty disappointing when you’re trying to relax. I also found it odd that even with a card on file with the resort for charges, they made me close out every single time I ordered an item. It was a bit exhausting and annoying. We ended up spending far more time at other places where they had good service which worked out.

We loved our stay! The Villas are great for a family, with 3 bathrooms and a kitchen. The pool and beach are beautiful and were not super busy during our stay. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We did have an issue with our fridge, it stopped working and we lost about $200 in food that we had bought. We had to spend more time and money at the store replacing it all. The staff came and fixed it right away but we were not compensated in any way for the food that we lost.

We stayed a week and a half in a 2nd floor studio with a decently stocked kitchenette, a garden view and a covered balcony. Good sized room, very helpful staff. The resort is lovely, has a pool and a lazy river that meanders around the buildings. Lots of choices of where to hang out for the day. Onsite dive shop and restaurant and quite a few others within walking distance. Nearby shops & groceries. Nightly music in the beach bar. If you like to walk you can access a scenic shoreline walk in less than 10 minutes and do an easy 5km loop. Cons: Wi-fi was a bit spotty. Overall a pleasant stay.

Lazy river is a great perk though the water was turned off on one side so doesn't have the push it needs on one side (takes the lazy away hahahahaha)

The rooms great! Had everything to cook and eat in your room. They use SMEG appliances and had to google how to use the stove. lol! Food on the resort is delicious. Lieke at the front desk and Myr at Scuba Do were awesome along with everyone else. Great diving off the beach. Nice pools and lazy river!
I will book there again, and I would highly recommend this resort:))

My experience with Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort and booking through Expedia was extremely disappointing.

First, the hotel is not worth the money. The property is outdated and in serious need of upgrades. The photos online make it appear much nicer than it actually is. For the price I paid, I expected a much higher standard.

To make matters worse, I cut my trip short because the stay did not meet expectations. Even though I checked out early, Expedia and the hotel refused to refund the unused night. That type of customer service is unacceptable, especially when guests are clearly dissatisfied with the quality of the stay.

Booking through Expedia made the situation even more frustrating because you get stuck between the hotel and the booking company with no real resolution.

I would not recommend booking this hotel or using Expedia for this type of reservation. If you value your money and your vacation experience, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I am currently filing a dispute for the unused portion of my stay.

Nice property but terrible service. Plan to allow 2-3 hours for every meal. No one interested in offering service. Orders constantly wrong and no one come to check, so you are stuck with incorrect food. Everyone acts like they are doing you a favor when taking orders or bringing food. You will are likely to have several different servers in a single meal or even drink order. They really need lessons in hospitality. The natives islanders are the most friendly, the Dutch all act like there are better than you.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. They had plenty of beach chairs available to guests and security made sure only guests were present. We did not have an ocean view but had a palm tree, lazy river view. The lights turned on in the lazy river at night and created a nice ambiance. Staff were professional.

We had a wonderful stay. The property is clean and well maintained, the front desk staff was always very friendly and knowledgeable (Stephen stood out!), and our room had a large balcony that overlooked the property and ocean. The room was spacious and had a nice kitchenette available. We liked the option of opening windows to get a breeze instead of using the AC. We enjoyed hanging out at the beach bar, had great food/drinks and liked the live music. It was very convenient to have a dive shop on-site and we rented snorkel gear several times. We reserved a pick-up truck before we arrived through the hotel for a reasonable rate. The location of the hotel is good - we walked into town several times via the boardwalk (right along the water) and a few restaurants are also very close in the other direction. Overall a great experience!

We stayed at the property for 10 days during our stay on Bonaire and unfortunately had a very mixed experience mainly due to food quality and service.
One day we have a fantastic meal, 2 days later we order the exact same items and they were barely recognizable in taste, presentation or quality. This inconsistency happened more than once and made dining here feel more like a gamble rather than something to look forward to.
What made the experience worse was how our feedback was handled. After scanning the QR code on our receipt and explaining what happened with our meal, we received an email from the property manager that felt dismissive and unprofessional.He stated that video footage( without audio) was reviewed and implied that our account was untrue. Beingade to feel as though we were lying, rather than have our concerns acknowledged. Disappointing and unnecessary.
Bonaire is a great destination and this place could have potential, but consistency and customer service matter. Guests should feel heard when they raise concerns, not brushed off. Sadly this was not our experience here.
So many wonderful restaurants on the island. Try Rumrunners, Eddy's, Sebastians and even the Donaire place at the round about! Absolutely delicious! We will be back to Bonaire, just not to Chogogo. So many other beautiful smaller hotels in the same area who treat their guests with respect and kindness.

I had an amazing two-week stay at Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort Bonaire! From start to finish everything was wonderful. The food and drinks were fantastic — great variety, fresh flavors, and perfect for relaxing after a day of diving and beach time. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, and having the electric car made getting around the island so easy and fun.

What really made the stay exceptional was the staff. Every team member I met was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful — they made us feel welcome and cared for the whole time. This was truly the best holiday I’ve ever had, and I’m already planning to return very soon. Thank you to everyone at Chogogo!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are not large but feel spacious and comfortable. The property itself is quite big and well laid out, with four buildings, three restaurants, a bar, a pool, and a lazy river.

The beach is very nice, with nearby reefs and plenty of fish — great for snorkeling. There is also a dive site on the property. Our friend tried scuba diving for the first time here and had a great experience.

The buildings are four stories high and have elevators. Housekeeping is done every three days, but towels can be changed more often if needed. Beach towels are provided.

The room includes a small kitchenette with a basic set of dishes. It would be nice to have more cutlery, especially if friends come over, as there wasn’t enough for everyone.
We did not use breakfast, only dinner and bar.

Overall, a very pleasant stay and a hotel we would recommend.

We got a free upgrade to an ocean view room. That was a pleasant surprise. Room was clean and comfortable, ac worked well. Staff was friendly and efficient. Grounds were well taken care of and plenty of beach chairs and palapas. We never had trouble finding one.
Only one minor annoyance was the loud music in the evening lasted a little later for us.
We had a wonderful trip and would definitely consider Chogogo again

Nice clean resort with a good beach area and loved the lazy river. Location was in walking distance to restaurants and only about a 20 minute walk into town. Onsite restaurants were good as well. Our room was nice and enjoyed having a small kitchen for making breakfast in the mornings. I removed one star due to the terribly uncomfortable bed and pillows. Suggestion to management would be to invest in better quality mattresses and bedding.

Overall it was a very nice Resort. The pool area and lazy river were great too spend the day at. The room and facilities were very clean and updated. Make sure to request a blanket for the bed. Taxi’s were available with the front desk calling to arrange. But a little difficult to arrange for the return trip when away from the hotel. Cost was $15 each way. Highly recommend renting a car for your stay. The ride around the island is pretty easy and interesting. A stop at Sebastians beach area to swim and watch the wind surfers was definitely worth the visit. The snorkeling in front of the hotel was very good. The restaurant and beach bar food was very good as well as the service. Would highly recommend Chogogo to someone planning a trip to the island.

Nice private beach with easy snorkeling access (for a fee at the dive shop). Beach is man-made, look into the history. I didn’t know before booking and if I did I probably would have found a more ethical place.
Free and plentiful beach chairs and loungers.
Lazy river was a fun little way to cool off as was the water slide!
Kitchenette is great for making a few meals in the room and saving money. You can walk to the supermarket, about 15-20 minutes away.

Cons
Hotel provided limited amenities without a fee. Odd that you have to request a microwave in your room (even though it’s a kitchenette) and a blanket, and face towels. You only get 2 nespresso capsules for your stay. I think you can buy more from reception. Higher prices at restaurants but to be expected from a resort.
A little bait and switch feeling at times. Yoga is offered on the website/expedia but it’s available for a fee like $10/day. Car rental is 2 day minimum, also not stated online.
Room only cleaned every 3 days (so only once in my 5 night stay). There were a lot of little ants in the room. Plus sand and dust from all the wind. Seems like daily or even every other day cleaning should be provided.
Power outage one day and nothing to provide alternatives/resources to guests.

Our bathroom had a leak and water went everywhere. The staff wasn’t friendly or apologetic and made us feel like we were bothering them when we asked to switch rooms. The room they tried to put us in smelled like urine so we ended up staying in our original room. They ended up fixing the leak but the experience was off putting and I wouldn’t return or recommend.

We enjoyed the great pool and ocean view right from our room, along with beautifully maintained surroundings. My husband also appreciated the onsite dive shop. The room was clean, with a convenient kitchenette. The food selection was limited, but overall good quality. Service was generally good as well, but a bit slow. The hotel was quiet, relaxing and had everything needed for a short break away. Would recommend for solos couples and families. Snorkelling from front porch was great. Thanks to Nina and Emma at Bari for their excellent service.

This resort was amazing! The staff were super friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. We had an ocean view that was marvelous and we got to see the sunset any time we were in the room for it--otherwise, the view from the beach bar was the better option anyways. We also ate at Bina, which is their upscale restaurant and it was one of our favorite meals of the whole trip. We'll definitely be coming back again in the future and staying at Chogogo.

Gorgeous place! Didn’t like only 1 pillow per person and lack of extra sheet or bal let. WiFi was good. Kitchenette nice to have. Three dining options to choose from. Lazy river fun for adults and kids.

They pay attention to details here, everything you could possibly need is in the room or easily asked for in the front desk. The plugs are European and they had the converters at the front desk. Every meal we ate the restaurants were amazing especially the ceviche.
The dive shop was top notch, they had lockers and packages that fit every need. Had a great stay here and looking forward to our next visit.

We really enjoyed our stay there, with just two exceptions. The a/c was not on when we arrived to the room. Also, the beach bar service was honestly deplorable. The amount of money that resort is losing by having no service at all to anyone in the beach chairs was alarming.

I went with my older teens and had a great experience. Even my kids loved the lazy river. We had a two room apartment with convenient amenities. The location was perfect but we also rented a car which was so convenient so i definitely recommend that if you want to explore on your own. Staff was always friendly. Loved the folks at the dive center. Overall, we had so much fun.
