We loved having our own pool. The complementary espresso in room was a nice touch. Also the free one morning beverage at the ocean club across the street was appreciated. Our unit did not have a toaster which was inconvenient and there is no air conditioning in the main living area but was tolerable with the breeze. No extra blankets. And the outlets are European plugs the front desk did have adapters to borrow. Overall it was a nice quiet place. I’d like to mention there is a small grocery store close to the resort (walking distance). Lastly there is no safety gates around any pools.

The staff at the Grand Windsock was the absolute best!! Yes, the property is great and the villa was amazing but the staff went above and beyond to give us the best stay possible. Our flight was cancelled and they did everything they could to help up extend our stay end not end on a bad note. Tiffany, the reservations manager, did her magic and we are truly appreciative. This was our second stay at Grand Windsock and we will definitely be returning again. Thank you Tiffany and to the amazing staff at Grand Windsock!! You helped turn a very stressful situation into a few more wonderful days in paradise!

This was our second stay at the windsock. The villa was great for our family, which included two toddlers. The kitchen was functional, the clothes washer was helpful. Staff were great and flexible. We were allowed a late check out, which was very helpful with the kids since we flew out late in the afternoon. Location was great and fairly central to all of our activities. Parking was very easy. Traffic was not bad, there was a little noise from the airport but not significant. The only issue we ran into was that the pool deck got very slippery when wet, so everyone had to wear shoes around the pool.
Overall great stay. We will be back!

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality at this property was exceptional. When the check-in lady learned that my suitcase had been delayed by a day, she truly went above and beyond—offering us a drink and even helping me find some toothpaste, Her kindness set the tone for the entire stay. The property itself was spotless, kitted out with care and attention. The apartments layout and facilities were modern and tastefully decorated. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, from the front desk to the team at the on-site Wannadive Concern, who made our diving experience both safe and unforgettable.
We felt completely relaxed throughout our stay and left with beautiful memories of an amazing holiday. This place exceeded all expectations, and we’ll definitely be returning soon. Highly recommended!

We had a fab relaxing time at Windsock in a 3-bed villa. The pool was very welcome and the villa had pretty much anything we needed to enjoy our week there. Just over the road and you’re swimming with the parrot fish in the beautiful Caribbean Sea.

We had an amazing time at this property! The suite was everything that was advertised, clean and comfortable. The staff was so helpful and friendly! Would definitely stay here again. It’s also in a very central location to all island activities and we used only golf cart and scooter as our transportation and easily got everywhere we wanted to go!

This review is mainly to praise Marjorie and Roy for doing the right thing. My wife and I had booked a long stay at the Grand Windsock, but after one day I was having severe sensitivities to VOCs in our unit and became massively sick. After a lot of back and forth, Marjorie and Roy came by to investigate. At first they were both very skeptical, but after showing them my VOC meter and allowing them to do their own tests they acknowledged the situation and allowed us out of the 11 day booking. I am grateful that they were willing to investigate and work with us. They could have been greedy and refused the refund, but they showed humanity and compassion and acknowledged the situation. Kudos to the Grand Windsock for having employees such as Marjorie and Roy, and empowering them to make decisions such as these.

The property is 3 minutes from the airport. The beachside restaurant was surprisingly good. These villas are across the street from the ocean, and there is no beach, but there is a steep ladder with approx. 20 steps that gets you into the ocean. There is a local beach 1 minute down the road. I wouldn't walk that road with children, but as an adult it was easy. The grocery stores are 2 minutes away and have everything you need. Our villa had a salt water pool. The water started to turn green, so there was an imbalance in the water chemistry which needed attention but no one came to address it. The check-in process was long and painful. It is done at the main pool cabana, and takes forever. We waited for over an hour, which is unacceptable. The property isn't that big and there was only one other small group checking in at the time.

The villa was awesome! There is not a restaurant on property but you can go across the road to the beach club. We went to the grocery store and cooked most nights. I loved the grill!! The private pool was relaxing. The property is right next to the airport landing strip so the planes are loud but thankfully there aren’t many planes on the island

Just came back from a relaxing stay at Grand Windsock Resort. We loved our unit, and the location was great. The beach is across the street, and it had plenty of lounge chairs in the shade. The water is perfect, plenty of tropical fish to swim around with.
We loved be able to cook and eat in most of our stay, but the kitchen could use some tlc.
Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay and we hope to return.

Beautiful location and convenient. Our 3 bedroom villa was showing signs of age in terms of the outdoor furniture, the indoor sofa, and the problems with the air conditioning unit over and over again. Staff was polite but approach things as though they are on holiday as well. Weird things like no washcloths in the room, no blankets/only sheets, washing machine but no dryer, limited maid service only every 4 days, main pool has rings of green algae… seems like management has their hands full with the staff.

Service was not great at the hotel restaurant. On arrival staff was a bit rude. We waited around for a long time to have someone come take our food order and had to keep waving down the staff to get utensils etc. and to even pay the bill.

We loved our 8-day vacation in Bonaire at the Grand Windsock. We stayed in a beautiful, well-equipped 2-bedroom, 2-bath villa with private pool. The villa was next to the airport so we certainly were aware of planes taking off and landing (and the occasional slight whiff of jet fuel) but there are not many flights in and out of the island each day so we had no issue with it. We actually enjoyed seeing the planes coming and going.

Our villa was clean and comfortable with a lovely in-ground pool and full-sized fridge with water and ice maker being two of our favourite features. Unlike what we read on this site and heard from the Grand Windsock itself our second bedroom was unlocked - very convenient for a place to stow extra luggage and set up a place to pack when we sadly needed to return home. It seems like a small thing for the resort to leave it unlocked but we certainly appreciated it and seeing it left open on our arrival made us feel valued and welcome.

Housekeeping and pool service were as promised once during our stay and left things sparkling clean.

Since we had our own pool we only swam in the main pool once but it was very nice too. While staff were kind and friendly, service is “island time” so adjust your expectations here and elsewhere on the island. We walked over to the ocean club most evenings to watch the sunset and also to snorkel a few times. They have quite a few parrotfish that hang out near the stairs but take care when the water is rough s

In our room the bathroom fan was broken. Staff agreed to have it looked at, but didn't do it. Opening the window it almost fell out because the hinge was broken. The shower had no curtain and didn't slope to the drain, so water ran out into the bathroom. The combination oven and microwave needed a 40 page manual to operate it, which was only available in dutch. The location was extremely noisy with car wash generator running nearby, mufflerless motorcycles racing on the street and jets landing.
There was only one restaurant in walking distance. It was way overpriced, though the food was good. Mosquitoes were a problem from 5pm on.
On the plus side the apartment rooms were large & clean and there was a large fridge, a clothes washer and large balcony with lots of outside seating. There was air-conditioning in the bedrooms.
The beach was closeby with beach shoes needed on the sharp coral gravel, not all fine sand. Marine life was plentiful making snorkeling great. Entering and exiting the water to snorkel was very tricky, with pounding surf on the sharp coral beaches. The hotel had a ladder down to the water which helped getting in, but it was deceivingly slippery with algal growth. Pool towels were provided. A fee of $50 was threatened for any lost ones. We rented a pickup truck for our stay to tour the island, get to stores & restaurants. A truck was needed to go in the national park; roads-tracks there were very rough. We reserved a month ahead & almost missed out.

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Windsock. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a small private pool. They had a dive shop onsite that we rented snorkel gear at, had dinner one night at their beach club. A very enjoyable stay. We didn’t realize we also could have rented a vehicle from them instead of using the rental car agency at the airport. It was very clean and quiet.
