Was exactly what we needed. Loved having a full kitchen. I wish that the dive shop at the hotel was open full time and we didn't have to drive to the location in town. Otherwise, it was perfect.

This is definitely not a resort, the room had no soap, hand wash, there was a broken broom (no dust pan), we had no room service and non working vaccim cleaner. The room clean and spacious. The spare bed was terrible, our apartment was on the road, and there was no blackout curtains so broken sleep all night with car lights and very little privacy!

We had a great time. Located close to airport. Staff was nice. No blankets on bed only sheet, they just went available. We stayed 5 days only had housekeeping one time. Property grounds are very well kept. Plenty of parking. The outside balcony was huge! We stayed out there more than inside.

Resort Bonaire Review – One-Bedroom Apartment

During my recent trip to Bonaire, I stayed at Resort Bonaire in a one-bedroom apartment. Overall, the stay was comfortable and well-suited for a dive-focused trip, though there were a few quirks worth noting.

Room & Amenities

The apartment featured two twin beds, which could be pushed together to form a king. Since I was traveling with a friend, we opted to separate them for added space and comfort. The room itself was clean and functional, with enough storage for our belongings.

One of the highlights was the fully equipped kitchen, which included a dishwasher—a great convenience for longer stays. The ability to prepare our own meals was a plus, especially given the limited dining options nearby.

One downside, however, was the air conditioning setup. While the bedroom had AC, the living, dining, and kitchen areas did not. This made those spaces noticeably warmer, especially during the day. It would have been nice to have a cooling option for the entire apartment.

Dining Option

Resort Bonaire offers a single meal each night for a very reasonable price. The catch? You have to get there early because they often sell out. The rotating menu ensures variety, but since there’s only one option per night, it may not suit everyone’s tastes. That said, the convenience and affordability were definite positives.

Final Thoughts

Really enjoyed this resort. Awesome pool area and dedicated pool for small children. Plenty of parking. Approximately 5-7 minutes South of the airport. Away from the immediate downtown so at night it is quiet. Would definitely stay again when visiting Bonaire.
Only cons would be lack of a washer/dryer in the unit or on the premise. And the beds do not have a comforter. So if you are cold when sleeping, bring layers or a blanket.

Location was exactly what i expected. Bed situation very uncomfortable. Literally 2 single beds pushed together with seperate bedding so tou keep falling between beds. Only 2 pilliows and huge. There should be a couple options as well as at least a blanket. Not just a top sheet. I used a towel. Could never cook an actual meal because not enough appropriate cutlery. No pool towels. Not enough seating around the pool. On Sunday the place was packed with non resort people using the facility, not enough parking. Toilet leaked the while stay. They did send somekne out to fix but he couldn't fix. Tried to eat lunch there and they were out if burgers, couldn't make nachos and no chicken fingers. For what i paid nightly i was disappointed. Won't stay again. There are other places i have stayed that are much better. I'm sorry for the poor review but you need the honesty

We loved the room for 6. We had 4 staying. It was great for us. Clean, well equipted for us. Had everything we needed. They even let us store our luggage in a secured space so we could enjoy the rest of our day after checking out. Some construction going on, but had no impact on us. Parking is a little tight, but we always had a spot. We will return. Excellent value for us.

A telephone should have been in the room to reach someone in case of an emergency. The mattress on the twin bed was very uncomfortable. Ended up with lower back pain. Considering the airport is 5 mins away, a complimentary shuttle could have been provided.

Parking is the biggest issue plus the fact that the cleaning staff only comes every 3 days.... unless you're only staying 7 nights then they come once. Which is an issue for towels and trash. Location is fine & basic but clean

Pool area too small for amount of resort guests and not always enough chairs.
Alot of pool fouls as well..cigarette butts everywhere (not staffs fault but maybe need ashtrays)glassware and beer bottle near and in pool isnt good practice and wild children constantly running =bad.
We had a second floor room directly behind the bar/kitchen so it was noisy until 11pm but tolerable, except when off duty staff had a late night early morning party at 1:30-3am and kept us awake with yelling. Not tolerable.
Otherwise room was nice , kitchen had everything required washrooms clean with towels but could use smaller hand/face variety.
Bedrooms have one pillow per bed and sheets only. Not blankets.
Air conditioner worked perfectly for Bedrooms but main living quarters arent air cooled.
Actually met the owner and he was very pleasant and seems to be doing lots of improvements to the grounds, overall facility and was very involved with his crew while we were there.
If staying over New Years Eve be ready for alot of noise and fireworks. The whole Island is one big party and fireworks show. Incredible
Overall and good experience and will look into returning to Resort Bonaire if possible.

The apartment was very nice however, we never received towel service the entire time we were there. Also, it would be nice to have a full length mirror in the apartment and some blankets. Also, the pillows in the double-bed room were very dirty. The resort is located in a convenient location, and food at the pool bar is very tasty. We never had an issue finding parking.

Very basic hotel. They do not provide housekeepong service unless you stay for 4 nights. We stayed 3 nights and did not get any towel or any houseekping. We asked for towels from the reception and we were told that it will cost 3 dollars for each towel. I have traveled to over 25 countries and have never heard that a hotel charges for replacement/fresh towels and do not provide houseekping when requested. I understand they may have limited resources in the island, but charging for fresh towels is insane when you have not had any for 2 nights. Plus, they do not have anyone at the reception most of time. Some days they had from 7 pm to 10/11 pm and in the morning.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. The room was also designed in the most inconvenient way and with no thought whatsover on traveler/visitor's convenience.

My trip to Bonaire was for my wedding!!
Upon checking in to our apartment, the smell of sewage greeted my family and I. The toilet in the hallway was leaking water. The linen, mattresses and sofas were all filled with filthy stains and mold. It was evident that these items are old and very used!! There were cockroaches in the apartment as well, ceiling fan on the balcony was so rusted that the rust took over the actual white color that it supposed to be. In addition, we stayed there for a total of 10 days (July 29- August 7th) and were without WiFi in the apartment for literally the last 6 days of our stay!! Daily, I would report my issues to the front desk but all I would be told was “We gonna send someone to look at it.” ONCE, the maintenance guy came and failed to locate the toilet issue that was causing the leakage. Their housekeeping service sucks!! The cleaner only comes within 7 days of your stay, to bring cleaned linen & towels!! With the state of the apartment from the beginning to the end of my stay. The apartment was so nasty to the point that my 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with Tonsillitis after we returned home. I’ve reached out to the property with my level of unsatisfactory experience and all I was told that my feedback was forwarded to management. As of today no one has reached out to me!! The level of embarrassment I’ve felt to know that a trip that was supposed to be so great was actually a nightmare in the presence of my family!!

I did not survive an hour at this property. False advertising. The beach is nowhere to be seen, it's not close. I booked a deluxe room and it's located upstairs of the check-in area, there is no elevator but two tiny narrow stairs and if you have a luggage be ready to injure your self. They only advertise the \"luxury\" apartments but not the regular rooms. The room I checked-in has no bathroom door nor a curtain, the shower have a stagnant water and you have to use the mop they left in the room. I asked them to move me to an actual apartment they advertise and price match it with expedia but the front desk said the manager (missing in action) declined and wanted to charge more $270 more. If I stayed here longer it woyld have ruined my vacation. There are way more better properties nearby.

Property had an allowance of one towel per person. No wash clothes, hand towels or even hand soap. Gave us a very hard time when we asked for additional towels and initially flat out refused. Only gave us one toilet paper roll and when we asked for more, they stated we would have to buy some ourselves which is insane!! We did get a couple extra towels and another TP after we complained and complained. NO blankets! Our bed consisted of one fitted sheet, one flat sheet and one pillow! No other linens available in room or by request. We froze at night. I have never been to a hotel that refused to provide the bare minimum. This was even a room that we upgraded to when making the reservation! Bar staff very nice and friendly. Front staff varied with their customer service. We asked around the island to see if maybe this was the standard with hotels on Bonaire and discovered it was not so that was even more upsetting. I did not enjoy my stay and will not return. Sad because this hotel has the potential to be a very cute place.

We were not informed or given any options until after check in to be told the AC was out. They had put a mobile unit in that did not do the job. The exhaust that was duct taped in kept falling out causing more hot air to fill into the room. The bedroom in the back had no fan or circulation making it impossible to sleep. The floors were dirty and dusty. Toothpaste was still stuck on the counter. the couch had stains that I wiped off. The safe did not work to store out passports. Several trips to the front desk were met with no solutions, care or options if we even found it staffed. Bar/restaurants were either closed or unfriendly. Parking was always full and each day I watched staff take the spots in front of our unit. Very unhappy. Really tainted our trip. Would never go back to this resort.

The hotel is very nice but the room is lacking many things.

Starting off with the bedrooms. Beds are comfortable but we only get 1 pillow per person, I think there should be a spare pillow somewhere in the room. And I asked for the beds to be put together but they were not set together correctly because they kept separating in the middle of the night. I would recommend buying a bridge and correct bedding to make the beds correctly when put together.

The way the shower is made is very hard to shower and not wet the whole bathroom. They also have no space to place your soap or anything when you shower and they don't supply soap or shampoo. The lights in the room are very dim.
Housekeeping was very strange. They would only come in to leave towels but give no service at all. Not even broom or change the trashbag of bathroom or kitchen. I truly did not see the sense of coming in the room to not clean or pick up the trash or atleased leave More trashbags so we can take out our own trash.
There isn't enough parking, so if you come home late then you can't park inside, you need to park close by the property if you're lucky.

Also there isn't any 110v wall socket, only 220. They did have USB ports which were very handy.

The kitchen was very nice and big also very equipped but it had 2 coffee machines but no coffee.. and also no toaster or bowls. Which was very annoying when wanting to make breakfasts. Also I recommend to get more icecube trays we only had one tiny one.

Some of the reviews had me a little cautious about staying here but expectations were easily exceeded. Parking was easy, staff were all friendly, location was convenient to get anywhere, and our apartment was clean and comfortable. The on-site dive shop made it very easy to rent and return gear. Everything was pretty low-key and relaxing. I thought the price was extremely reasonable for what we got. Would not hesitate to go back!

The apartment was very comfortable and well furnished. The kitchen lacked a toaster. Parking was anywhere alongside the road in front of the apartment. If you were diver There wS often not any available parking to load or unload your gear. We saw a truck that had to double park on the raid to unload their gear. Not convenient. This resort seemed more of a family vacation place with many under school age children.

We stayed in a 2b/2ba unit for six days and all I can say is that we were more than happy. What a little gem. Quiet, clean, safe and inexpensive. Cold a/c, stocked kitchen with everything you need. Huge balcony with plenty of space and furniture. There is a wonderful pizza shop on the premises and a convenience store within a 5 min walk. Without a doubt, we will stay here on our next visit.

The Resort Bonaire offered a great place to stay for our group of 4 (2 couples). The place was clean. Kitchen offered enough amenities to make our stay comfortable (glassware and basic kitchen tools). The property had everything we needed: restaurants and a place to get a drink + pool. The pizza place was awesome! We ate there twice!! Both bars were inviting and fun! The location was close to beach amenities and not far from the bustle of downtown (7 min drive).

Nice, clean stay, but very stark. I do not recommend for Americans and divers. It is quite European, and there are no 110 outlets like at all other properties at which I’ve stayed on Bonaire. You have to haul gear to your apartment whether that’s on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor and onto the balcony. Very limited parking. However, it fit the bill for an extended stay beyond our other accommodation; it just doesn’t feel like you’re anywhere special. Budget-friendly and clean though.

Amazing resort close to airport and beach!

This resort is so much more beautiful than pictures can convey. The bar and pool area was fabulous, the dive shop was convenient, and the staff at the front desk was so kind. We were upgraded to a penthouse because of a technical problem and the room was absolutely wonderful. We had every amenity you could need including dishwasher, espresso machine, toaster oven, and full size fridge and freezer. I am so glad I chose this resort for our Bonaire vacation. It’s close to two very nice beach clubs as well, we walked to both but taxis were also readily available.

The room we got was not bad, but we only had a problem with a lot of water in the room where the air conditioning was. I called the same day of chek-in I got a lady on the line and she told me that someone will come and check wheter on that day before 7:00 PM or the next day 8:00 AM but hadn't been. We had used a few bath towels otherwise the water would just go through the room
