Très joli petit hôtel qui ressemble plus à une villa romantique avec jardin qu’un hôtel - la chambre disposait d’une petite terrasse où j’ai pu le détendre le soir avec une vue sur les toits de JLP et le jardin de l’hôtel - même si la chambre est plutôt petite, il y’a tout ce qui faut- tout est au bon endroit et le lit grand et confortable - seul faudrait changer les portes pour qu’elles ne claquent pas de manière brutale en réveillant les autres. Accueil très sympathique!

The location of the property is within close walking distance of shopping, restaurants, bars and the beach. The hotel is located on a quiet street with little to no traffic. The staff is friendly and speaks English. While the bathroom in the rom was nice, the room, furniture and the rest of the property is a little dated. What is also worth mentioning is that the cleanliness could have been better as some of the surfaces in the room were dusty and I found a plastic bag with 3 pairs of shoes left behind by a previous guest sticking out from under the bed.

Lovely hotel. Hotel reception is very kind and will help with any sort of information you may need (if you want any ideas on where to go for food or exploring the area etc they definitely have some tips). Decor of the rooms are unique and I quite liked it- most importantly the bed was comfy and includes a mini fridge (it’s the small things that count for me :)) ! About 10mins walk to the beach. Overall, I loved this hotel and will definitely be back if I’m in the south of france again :)

Positively surprised by the room as the pictures on the web made it look kind of bad. The staff is amazing. The outdoor breakfast area is very charming. The area is perfect as it’s not close to the main roads. I was actually able to sleep. Juan les Pins can be very noisy, trust me.
On the negative side the pool area is a lot smaller than displayed on the web and because the building is old you can “hear” your neighbor. But this is a fact for a lot of buildings in Juan les Pins:-)
Overall I was very happy with my stay and would come back again🌟

I truly lovely hotel with pretty garden and outdoor areas for relaxing. Amazed it is listed as a 3-star and the rates are not higher. Well-located to train and downtown but in a quiet residential street. really love this hotel and will stay again. Take note, there is no lift and the snack bar is closed but staff helps out with drinks and there are several types of breakfasts to choose from

A charming, unique and friendly hotel in a quiet, peaceful setting yet minutes away from the centre. It us ideally placed to travel the entire coast without needin a car. We loved enjoying breakfast and coffee in the lovely garden area. The pool was perfect for relaxation after a day sightseeing. All the staff were lovely and helpful.

Very good couple stay!

Very nice location, quite but not far from the center and train station. You can go to any location with train- Cannes, Nice, villages. There is a supermarket near the hotel about 100 m. The hotel is old fashioned, but clean and comfortable and very colored. There is no elevator, but we knew it and it wasn’t a problem for us. Quick check in and check out. The service is very polite and welcome. We enjoyed our stay very much!

An excellent hotel for a few nights in Anibes, just about close enough to walk into Old Town, and near the JLP beach and facilities. Room was rather small but that was the only negative as overall, it was excellent value-for-money.

Cosy, convenient but in need of a bit of an update

The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Juan les Pins. Local (rather touristy) restaurants are a five minute walk away.

The hotel has a very nice garden area which is lit with fairy lights at night. There is an outdoor swimming pool with about eight sun loungers placed around it. There is also a Jacuzzi which can be booked although we didn’t try it .

We had a room with a large comfy double bed and a small balcony. The room also had a coffee maker and a kettle which was very welcome. There was also a small fridge. There is a large supermarket five minutes around the corner so it is easy to stock up on anything you might need.....or have forgotten.

The hotel is decorated in Provencal style. Forget any notions of swish modern design! Our room really did need an update; the enamel on the sink and bath was coming off, the taps were covered in verdisgris, there was nothing to contain spray from the shower.....but we WERE delighted to have a bath. There was effective aircon in the room, which was great since it was very hot and humid whilst we were there.

There are two types of breakfast available, continental and buffet. We had the continental breakfast for two days but decided on balance to shop for breakfast from the supermarket. We did feel that we were “watched” to ensure we only took items from the continental selection and this did affect our decision not to have it each day.

Would I recommend this hotel? On balance yes. Needs an update but good value.

Part of the Collection which has charming, well appointed hotels with personality. There is a lovely, quiet garden just steps from a busy downtown. Their garden has bistro tables along with a small swim pool and a hot-tub. The in room coffee-maker was a welcome sight. We slept with our windows wide open and the night was cool, quiet and comfortable. The only negative was my allergies were activated by an unfortunate mildew smell in our room, a problem remedied by a wide open window.

Not what I expected, such a shame

Well, where to begin?! Firstly I had booked somewhere else but saw all the great reviews this place had and changed my booking to this hotel, which now I regret. To make things simpler I've listed pros and cons of this place:

PROS:
- Good location to nearby restaurants and beach (HOWEVER, most of the beach nearby is privately owned so you cannot access it and have to walk 15/20 mins to find a bit you're allowed on)
- Authentic and very unique decor (HOWEVER there is not lift and we were placed on the top floor which was very awkward as we had a small baby with us)

CONS:
- We booked a triple room and the room was WAY too small to fit all the beds in it! There was no space to walk around the beds and the bathroom was very very small and cramped
- They charged you to use their beach towels (which I feel isn't clear until you're here) so I'd suggest bringing your own
- the shower unit was not fitted correctly so every time you had a shower the water went all over the floor
- we were given a crib even though we had told them we had our own (the staff would not accept this) and we had to use theirs, their crib collapsed on the second day we were there so couldn't use it anyway - and then charged us for using it for 4 days!!!
- staff aren't great at understanding what you want, we asked for a large taxi (due to large suitcases and pram) at the end of our stay but they called a small one who was not impressed and overcharged us for their mistake!

Lovely staff and atmosphere

We arrived early in the morning and the staff ensured we had a relaxing time (breakfast followed by jacuzzi and then swimming pool) until we could check in the room. During our entire stay, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly and we had a great time. The breakfast buffet was also delicious.

Perfect place to stay.

This hotel is delightful.Tucked away from the busy roads to make it peaceful yet just a two minute walk to all you need.Having visited the bigger places i.e. Antibes,Nice,Cannes and Monaco the location of this hotel is definitely the best-big enough for atmosphere, small enough to feel local.
The room was big enough for the amount of time you are likely to be in it for. Funiture quite well worn but traditional and functional.Only one wardrobe so not great for hanging space.Beds-2 singles 'pushed together' but were comfortable.Bathroom really small but clean with a good shower and again just about big enough.Fresh towels every day. Room had air conditioning which is a must.Small balcony to sit out though not really a view to speak off.Breakfast was self serve-plentiful fresh bread/fruit etc.Reasonable value at 10 euro per person.
Small pool which was lovely for an afternoon cool down.Plenty of restaurants/bars/beach within a two minute walk.Staff were very friendly and available for advice on travel requirements/taxi to airport.The train station is just a few minutes walk from which you can get to anywhere along the Riviera very efficiently and cheaply.I would not bother hiring a car unless you want to go inland.

Great location, old-fashioned charm helpful staff

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and although we made the effort to speak French where possible, they were more than happy to speak English to us. Buffet breakfast was great, lots of choice, including some cooked food and you could eat in dining room, conservatory or garden, all great surroundings. Nice pool area although be aware that the hot tub is elsewhere. Only downfalls were the size of our room - would have expected it to be bigger, for the price. Also, the bath was never cleaned, even though we brought this to their attention. No shower screen/curtain for the bath/shower either which meant that there was a lot of water on the floor. Very chic, old fashioned charm about it and we really enjoyed our stay. Booked airport shuttles through hotel which were a reasonable price although the driver taking us back to the airport seemed in far too much of a hurry! Great location, shops, small supermarket, great restaurants and lovely beach really close by.

Charming hotel in a wonderful location

This chateau and relais approved hotel is very charming in a boutique style and very welcoming. My room was comfortable and clean and the air con worked well. Bathroom had bidet and a wonderful shower. The pool has all day sun and sun loungers - plus its a five min stroll to the beach with all the bars and restaurants along the way such as Pam Pam and Le crystal and sweet caffe brasserie. Having said that, the hotel is very quiet and tucked away from the night life - its lovely!

Pleasant hotel with great location.

On arriving at the hotel we were able to check in early which was a pleasant surprise. Our rooms were both triples one on the top 3rd floor (with cot) and one on the first floor. As the hotel has no lift it was a bit of a struggle with my baby and young daughter to get up three flights of stairs, it would of been better if they had placed the cot in the first floor room, but it wasn't a massive problem as we could leave our pushchair in reception. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The bathrooms were fantastic and the showers were amazing! We loved the little touches such as complementary drinks on arrival and coffee machines in the rooms. We didn't stay for breakfast so cannot comment but from what we saw it looked very nice. We hired a car on the second day and took advantage of the onsite parking at €15 a night. We did use the hotel pool but this was ruined slightly by the rude French neighbours who shouted at us to be quiet! They didn't realise one of our party could speak fluent French and we understood exactly what they were saying which was not very nice! The hotel were fab and told the neighbours that we had children and were on holiday so what did they expect (our children weren't even being loud!). This was the only negative part of our stay and the hotel are unfortunate to have such people living next door. We stayed at the beach for the rest of the holiday which was only a 5 min walk down the road! Definitely stay here again!!!

A real French treat.

The Le Pre Catelan Hotel is a wonderful little gem; a real break from the anonymous hotel chain. Positioned in a quiet side street it was non the less convenient for the train station and the bars and restaurants of Juan Les Pins. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with the feel of being a guest in a French home. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh bread, fruit, cheese, pastries and yoghurt always served with a smile. Had the weather been warmer it would have been wonderful to eat out in the little courtyard.

lovely hotel

I like this hotel, I've stayed here twice now and it has a lovely authentic feel. Its in a good location and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and well equipped. I didn't have the breakfast but the buffet looked good. I would recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay again. WiFi was free, and fast. There is a charge for onsite parking but its reasonable. On street parking is free but might be a bit tight in high season. There are some nice restaurants close by and the beach is just a couple of minutes walk.

Girls weekend away

30 mins on the bus from Nice airport and short walk from bus stop. Sharing a room for three was adequate for our budget but they had some lovely balconies that we didn't ask for. Still low season so we took pot luck with the weather but scored one good day out of three..
Great reasonably priced restaurants. Loads of fish and seafood.

Hotel is well situated 5 mins walk to all night life and beaches. It's nice and quiet and pool is small but nice. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Make sure you book parking if you have a car as parking is very limited. The air con works well. All in all we had a comfortable stay here.

I was looking for a Hotel close to the Beech with a pool... That's exactly what I got. I shared a room with my wife and 7 year old daughter. The room was tidy with an excellent, new bathroom. We did not have breakfast at the Hotel but picked up some food from the Supermarkets all 5 mins walk from the Hotel. The staff were lovely, friendly and very accommodating. The pool is a medium size, clean and well kept. The Hotel is centrally located in Juan le Pin. It takes about 5-10 mins to walk to the beech. There are many restaurants and places to eat. I would recommend looking around as some can be expensive. We really enjoyed our time there and would definately go back to the Hotel, it's convenient, well placed and about 20mins drive from Nice airport. Enjoy.

Nice place to stay in Juan Les Pins

I had two 3-day stays at this hotel in April 2014 with my wife and daughter. The directions provided by the hotel for very useful in finding it. My main complaint is there is not elevator/lift, so you do haul your bags up the stairs (not uncommon in France). The hotel room and bathroom were very clean - even in the hard to reach places. Hotel staff was very friendly and made good recommendations for things to do in Juan Les Pins and the other areas of France we were headed to. The breakfast area is very nice, but prices are expensive. The location is great - an easy stroll to the restaurant and beach. I would be happy to stay here again.

A Hidden Gem

We use Juan les Pins as a base for visiting the Monaco Grand Prix each year and this is by far the best hotel we've had in the area. Great location - very quiet and peaceful yet a 2 minute walk to nightlife and less than 5 mins to the train station. The hotel owner takes great pride in making you feel as comfortable and as welcome as possible in his beautifully maintained hotel. Book it without hesitation.

This old hotel stands in pleasant grounds, like those of many houses on the Cote, with shade from old trees, and the provision of a gazebo , for protection from the sun. There is no easy parking in the narrow lanes around it, but the hotel has gravelled areas, behind secure gates, within the curtilage. There is a fee of 13 euros a day for this. The hotel pool is outside and well kept. The only snag with the hotel is that there is no lift; you have to take your bags up the stairs, but no room needs more than quite a modest climb.The staff are very helpful and welcoming.. Breakfast in the hotel is adequate, though I prefer to take it in one of the many restaurants in Juan les Pins. Juan les Pins centre is only a short walk away, but one of the charms of the hotel is that it is like an oasis of calm, after the hectic enjoyments to be found in the centre..

Well positioned and close to great beaches

This well placed hotel is small and friendly but is in need of a little TLC. When I booked I expected a bar, room service (not 24 hour) and a restaurant, none of which are now in operation. I think the room was a little tired, although the air conditioning was very efficient, the bathroom required updating and I was scalded more than once when a fellow guest was using their bathroom whilst I was taking a shower in a rather snug cubicle. I had requested a double bed but only had 2 small singles pushed together, whilst not ideal the bed was reasonably comfortable. The pool was clean and tidy, a little small, but great for cooling down and was a popular place. My husband loved the Jacuzzi. External areas needed tidying but breakfast outside was popular with most guests. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.

The hotel is close to restaurants and clubs and it is only a short walk from the beach. The rooms are a reasonable size with en suite shower room, a TV, a safe and tea/coffee making facilities. I am not a big breakfast eater, but there was quite a selection available for both continental and English style breakfast.

Little gem in juan les pins

Don't think I should tell anyone about this hotel we would like to keep it to ourselves. It's a small hotel no lift & we had the third floor but worth it . We had a superior room nice size bathroom ok . It has a swimming pool which is Good We did not have breakfast but it did look nice . Nice seating area in garden which you can use to have a picnic nice idea if you don't want to spend a fortune at the restaurants on the beach area . it has parking but we used roads outside could be a bit of a problem in busy times . Staff very friendly & helpful area beautiful go to the Pam Pam bar for a cocktail . Near to station where you can get trains along the cote de azur & into Italy . If you go have a great time we did .

Handy for holidays and business use

Very nice small hotel in quiet back streets of Juan but no more than five minutes from the sea, beaches ad restaurants. Very friendly staff and pleasant surprise gifts in each room. My room was very small - though clean and adequate - as I booked late - colleagues room was much bigger. Only issue was noise from other guests first thing - showered etc. breakfast great and would recommend to others.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. Both times have been very pleasant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great. The location is quiet but no more than a five minute walk from Juan Les Pins shopping and restaurant area. It is an old style French hotel but the rooms I have been in have been very comfortable and clean.

Trevligt hotell med lugnt och bra läge i Juan-les-Pins, ca 6 min till närmaste strand och restaurangkvarteren runt hörnet. Vi bodde här i 5 nätter. Litet rum och svårt att få plats med 3 resväskor. Skönt poolområde där det var skönt att ta ett dopp och koppla av efter en lång dag på stranden och utflykter.
Dåliga öppettider i receptionen och inte så stor kunskap hos personalen då vi ville få tips om bussar, tåg etc. Frukosten var dyr, 16€ och öppnade först kl 8 vilket var lite sent för oss då vi ville iväg tidigt på utflykter, skulle till flygplatsen etc. Så vi åt frukost ute ”på stan” i stället. Helt ok hotell att bo på i några nätter.

Un hôtel à taille humaine très sympathique et confortable pour un 3 étoiles . Au cœur de Juan les pins et surtout très calme avec beau jardin et parking privé. Nous avons réservé une chambre supérieure avec terrasse. Accueil excellent et très convivial. Nous recommandons .

Svært hyggelig hotell med god service. Fint rom, med balkong og utsikt ned til trivelig hage der vi spiste frokost. Gode senger og rikelig med håndklær som ble byttet ved behov. Bassenget var lite, men rent og trivelig. Hjelpsomt personale i et lite og hyggelig «fransk» hotell.

Vi hadde et flott rom gult, i fransk stil. aircondition og og flott baderom i 60-tallsstil. Badebassenget var rent og innbydende og frokosten var fersk og herlig. Bakgården var fin å sitte i på kvelden med en flaske vin og lav musikk. Før covid var det jazzkonserter i bakgården. Håper at neste gang vil by på det. Betjeningen var vennlig og veldig hjelpsom. Herlig opphold 4 dager på hotellet. Kort vei til jazz scenene og restauranter og stranden var et steinkast unna.

Bra läge men det är allt !

Hotellet har ett utmärkt läge men det är tyvärr det enda positiva. Hotellet behöver renoveras betydligt. Ytterst små rum som är överfyllda med prydnadskuddar, filtar och överkast. Det finns ingen som helst plats för bagage. Hotellet städar inte ditt rum så efter ett par dagar återfinns dammråttor. Öppna inte fönstren för då finns stor risk att få in getingar och mygg. En trevlig trädgård finns att äta frukost i. Dock mycket hårda stolar i plåt och en frukost som inte är värd priset. En stor andel bröd och en enda liten krämost. Hotellet har fyra vångar men ingen hiss. Ingen på hotellet hjälper dig att bära ditt bagage. Det luktar rök på rummet trots att rökförbud råder. Avloppen behöver nog också bytas då det luktar rejält illa av och till på rum och i trappor. Av tidigare recensioner framkommer servicevänlig personal. Vet inte om hotellet bytt ägare för nu skäller de mest på varandra och är stressade och inte alls intresserade av god service. Det finns en mycket liten pool på hotellet. Dock är reglerna så omständiga så det är svårt att uppfylla dem för att kunna bada. Gå hellre till den fina stranden. Juan les Pins är jättefint och väl värt ett besök men välj ett annat hotell.

Décoration ringarde mais bon pourquoi pas, les serviettes de toilette son en papier et doivent être gardé pour 5 utilisations alors qu'elles ne sèchent pas. L'odeur de la clim est horrible. L'hôtel est mignon ma piscine sympa et il est bien placé. Le réceptionniste est très sympa et pro. Par contre le vieux monsieur qui je présume être le patron, est odieux, un grossier personnage sans aucun sens de l'accueil ni du service agressif sans le moindre bonjour, infantilisant et dédaigneux.
Il faut vraiment penser à prendre sa retraite ou ne plus travailler dans le service.

charmigt hotell på bra läge

Läget är perfekt för detta mycket charmiga hotell som vi bott på tidigare. Nära till allt; nöje strand o promenadavstånd till gamla stan i Antibes. Men ändå lugnt område utan störande trafik. Rummet var ganska litet, men vi hade bett om balkong och det fick vi. Mysigt balkong mot den lilla trädgården. Lite på rummet behövs fixas som att toa o handfat satt lite löst. Är inte heller så glad för heltäckningsmatta. Bra med vattenkokare, kaffemaskin och kylskåp. Trevlig personal. Vi tyckte frukosten var lite för dyr, så vi tog den på café i stället. Fint litet poolområde. Totalt sett en mycket trevlig upplevelse.

Sale, non conforme au site, malhonnête. La réception essaie d’aider mais les propriétaires (qui habitent pourtant le site) arnaquent les gens avec cet établissement et ils ne supportent aucune remarque.
Honteux. Ils n’ont même pas pris la peine de me voir, Pas du tout un 3 étoiles. Séjour horrible, que des problèmes chaQue jour, qu’ils ne veulent pas reconnaître comme étant de leur fait.
Bcp d’hôtels à 2 min sont moins chers et bien bien mieux j’ai prospecté toute la semaine, allez ailleurs vraiment, en 15 ans de voyage c’est le pire hôtel que j’ai connu, de loin, et j’ai payé 2500€ pour 10 jours, je suis repartie avant la fin!!!!!
Ils m’ont remboursé une partie, c’est bien qu’il y avait un pb!
J’ai aussi eu des soucis médicaux, mon fils des allergies horribles tellement c’est sale et même un virus, la maison médicale a dit que ça venait de l’hygiene. La piscine est degueu, et le jaccuzi était d’ailleurs fermé car contrôle de l’eau non confirmé qq jours avant!
Horrible. A éviter sincèrement.
Je passe le reste de tous les pbs.

Original mais vieillot.

L'hotel du pré Catelan est effectivement un hotel personnalisé et dans ce sens, il m'a particulièrement plu. Chambres aux meubles décorés, couloirs douillets, et peintures de partout dans la maison.

Pour le reste, le niveau des prestations vieillissantes ne correspondait pas à ce que j'attendais. Salle de bain très petite et douche (certes à jets) en état assez moyen. Les asperseurs en partie bouchés par le calcaire en particulier. Et la literie en 140 fait maintenant grise mine. Il serait temps de passer à au moins des lits en 160 !

Bra hotell nära till Cannes, lugnt område med närhet till restauranger och bad. Vi fick ett litet rum så det var lite trångt. Ingen hiss så det är till att bära upp sina väskor själv. Frukosten inget större utbud. Svårt med parkering men går att parkera på gården till extra kostnad.

Totally over priced.Security at hotel not good as we were not even asked proof of identification.The rooms are so small you can't even change your mind in there. The toilet is about 10cm away from wall,a bigger person would have a problem sitting on it.No place to hang wet towels or swimming togs.Flowers in hotel all fake. No bar facility,only a vending machine in the foyer .No staff other than at reception.

Réveillé par un client fou qui frappait à toutes les portes parce qu il y avait du bruit dans une chambre. Pas d ascenseur. Pas très facile avec 2 grosses valises et de se retrouver au dernier étage. Jacusi fermé la 19 h et ouvert le matin à 9 h, alors que c est le soir qu on a envie de se détendre dans une eau chaude. Cafetière qui ne fonctionnait ps dans la chambre.
