The room was very clean. The bath room shower was a bit small. I'm 5'5 and it was almost just right for me. Nice little balcony. Bed was very comfortable, they are on the soft side. The TV was the inly issue, as it was not a very clear picture.

1st- we came for sleep and barley got any, cause the bed is so hard its like sleeping on the floor.
2- breakfast was available till 9. 2 kinds of cereal- frosted flakes and raisin bran, muffins, coffee, juice. That is all.
3- pool freezing, hot tub was hot but left a lingering chlorine smell even after a shower

For the price it definitely did the job as long as you like the stiffest bed on earth. Maybe bring a topper . The rooms were large and clean. The bathroom was nice. There was a tiny tv. Plugs for your devices, fridge, microwave, table and 1 chair. Also a mini balcony. The gym is 1 set of dumbbells 15lb and an elliptical machine with no power to it.

This Motel is clean, organized, and has what you need in a room: TV, table and chair, Coffee maker, free parking, free Wifi, plenty of lighting, balcony, separate sink from bathroom, built-in hair dryer, built-in soap/shampoo dispensers, Microwave, mini-fridge, deadbolt and partial open door lock, HVAC unit. Elevator to the 3 floors.

As the name says, it is a very good value Inn.

Only positives/negatives is close to transporation, which is US-101 freeway, but also the local train comes through in the morning, and you get the warning bell gonging, so if you are not an early riser, this may wake you up.

Booked six nights, left after one. We chose this hotel last minute after my mother’s death and prepaid for a king suite with a jetted tub. Affordable, but not worth it.

Exterior looks nothing like the photos—beige and worn, not white—and it’s right next to train tracks. Inside was nicer than expected, but within 10 minutes I found a baggie of crystal meth next to the bed. I brought it to the front desk; the clerk looked shocked, said they’d “talk to housekeeping,” and that was the end of it.

Other issues: met a drunk man in the hallway at 5pm, no “Do Not Disturb” sign in the room, housekeeping is REQUIRED every couple days, tiny TV mounted too high to watch, awkward tub you can’t recline in, bathroom blinds that leave a chest-high gap facing the parking lot.

Worst of all, the Wi-Fi was unusable. Took 7 minutes to send a text; speed test showed 0.26 Mbps download. I planned to work remotely but couldn’t. Combined with safety concerns, it was a dealbreaker.

We checked out after one night. The room itself wasn’t filthy, but drugs, security issues, and no internet make this place a hard no.

Our stay was average, we did have a comfortable bed. As a business traveler I felt room was not that adaptable for work purposes, work desk had no useable outlets for my electronic equipment, lighting was not so good, the room was just average. I assume for the price, was okay. I would recommend upgrade to room to make more attractive to business travelers. People would pay the higher rate if needed if the amenities were available. Overall our stay was adequate.

A Very Pleasant Surprise

Honestly... I don't understand the \"bad\" reviews. This is actual a nice place ... kind of the \"best kept secret\". Sure ... it is dated ... but trying to be updated as they go. (When was the last time you were in a granite tiled shower.) A HEATED POOL\" ... WOW ... good hot tub to sit in and go between the two. Rooms were clean / orderly. All in all ... a nice place (especially for the price in the area).

Office help minimal. Disrepair everywhere you look inside and out. ‘Breakfast’ consists of muffins, cold cereal, 2 juices and luke warm coffee with only dry creammer packs. Woke up second day to hundreds of ants swarming the bathroom floor (our feet) and tub with a stream going to garbage can. No AAA discount on top of it all.

The smoke detector had been removed. During my 3-day stay, no attempt was made to replace it. There is no work desk in the room, and there are no plugs along the walls except those already in use by the TV and fridge. It was 85° in the room when I entered it; the air conditioner was not on and there were no instructions how to use it.

Good place to stay in Novato

We were early and were able to check in anyway. The staff was really great! Very nice and accommodating. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy. Quiet even though we were by the 101 and tracks, but i never heard a thing. We had 218, a room with the jetted tub. The room was big, and it had a nice balcony with a sliding door. Love that! The tub was huge! Love that too - I'm 6'4\" and don't fit in most tubs. So if this is you too you might like this room. The fridge was pretty big too. We were in town for a thing, and some stuff, and the location was convenient. My only complaint was that the continental breakfast was basically non existent. There was a few muffins and some cereal. We skipped that, was hoping for more. Overall we liked this spot and would stay here again.

I checked in on Friday, room very basic but clean, hallways and public areas dirty, elevator dirty - and when I was in the elevator the power went off trapping me in it for over an hour. Back from dinner and wifi and tvs not working at 9:30 pm. I checked out and made other arrangements for the weekend.

The lady at the desk was friendly helpful efficient & interactive. The room was fine as always, and a short walk/short drive away from everything in Novato. I have stayed here a number of times in the past & will continue to do so. Also of interest, the hotel is a very short walk from the San Marin SMART Train station, which can create myriad travel possibilities.

Recall also, i had 2 separate reservations. I did not do what they said i did. They stole my $100 cash deposit then lied to me and the cops. I made 2 reservations. Why did they not mention this on the first one? They kicked my door in because it would not open for me on the outside. Room 312. Horribleexperience. I know they were listening to my conversations which is an invasion of privacy. Then when they didn't like what they heard then they do evil things. Customer service is poor too. This behavior is not acceptable and i suggest you always take your business elsewhere. NEVER BOOK AT THIS PLACE.

This people ask for $100 deposit and then steal it. They plan never to give it back to you. I checked out 30 minutes early and gave them their keys back. The lady on duty said bye as if that was it. I said \" can i have my $100 deposit back?\" She thought i forgot about what i have a receipt for. She said we have to check the room. Now they never gave room service any night i was there. She said they will keep my deposit because oil was on the bed. Whatever was in the sheets was there before i came. I never pulled back the covers even. What i had on the bed was my suitcase of clothing. No oil in them. All my products where sitting on the sink. They lied on me stole my money. Then called the cops to defend their lie.The cops were rude and told me to leave the property and sue them. It's aweful that you have to steal from customers. I would never refer anyone to this location and i will never go again. Aweful experience!

Price/value was fine, but I have many pictures of the horrible conditions inside the room: laminate flooring buckled and peeling and manyarge areas, spots and stains showing the place was not mopped, water flowing from handle of bathroom faucet, hot tub jets not working despite being told hot tub was working. I shared this with the front staff, twice but only got shrugs like \"what can we say, we only work here \"

This is my third stay there. It’s quiet, clean and the only bad thing I can say is that I had to use my hotspot to watch the tv. The refrigerator wasn’t working properly either, but these things happen and I’m sure they will fix it. I’m sure I’ll stay there again just for the in-room jaccuzi.

Okay for one night.

Overall it was okay for a one night stay, for the price in the area. However there was a strong pungent odor in the room, and it was kinda noisy late into the night, being near the elevator. Breakfast was pretty chintzy, but guess you can't expect much.

Pool and Hot Tub were down along with half of the available parking. Had to park illegally around the corner from the Hotel. We needed an extra cot in the room and was hit with a 15.00 up-charge.This may have been an opportunity for management to gain some face by giving a break on the cot fee.

You get a fantastic price so it is nothing fancy. The staff is so friendly and it is an easy on and off the highway. We have stayed here many times but this time was not as good as the others. The television is very small. There is no comfy chairs in the room or a table. And the bed was horribly uncomfortable, like sleeping on a piece of plywood. I hope they work on the furnishings a little.

One star is being too generous for this location. My room was dimly lit and had a strong smell of cigarette smoke which I assume came through the vents. The windows were thin so I had to suffer through the sounds of the train running most of the night. Finally, there were ants- like a lot of them coming from who knows where. All I have to say is if you can a skid this place, avoid it. It is not worth the discounted room rate.

It was clean you could smell the bleach when you walked in. I had no windows I could open. Some of the wood on the bathroom door way, on the bottom looked like it was rotten. The price is right and it is close to my dad who is in a nursing home. People are nice. Elevator need to be cleaned they are bad.

Me and 4 kids stayed here for the night to go to the ocean. It was very reasonable and doable for the money. Stayed on a Saturday and was very quiet (too cold to swim in pool though) refrigerator and microwave were nice. They also had full vending machines with snacks and drinks.
Only complaint is wood floor had damage and lifting slightly, bathroom around edges were grungy. Needs a lot of updating(care). But all in all seemed very safe and clean and a great price! 1 last thing the tv was the smallest I ever saw in a hotel room lol

The breakfast muffins and cereal were good, though there are only 2 small tables and we took our food and drink with us when we left for the day. The woman who checked us in was friendly and very helpful. The room was surprisingly large and had a mini fridge and microwave and both sides of the bed had multiple plugs. The biggest down side was the bed, which was hard as cement and quite uncomfortable. We also noticed some discoloration of grout around the bathroom tiles, especially near the toilet, and ants in the bathroom.

Good price . Several concerns. Flooring was cheap wood veneer which was badly attached giving a bounce and had gaps between strips. Was not very clean on wood part but tile in bathroom was good. Bed was very uncomfortable . Staff was mixed. Housekeeping very nice. Younger men at front were far less helpful.

The staff was awesome the Gentlemen that check me in was very nice kind and they got me checked in quicker than I expected and I was super grateful for that!
The room was awesome my daughter and I give it two thumbs up! very different but very cool!
The one and only thing I didn't like about it was that the hot tub was out of service But so not the staffs fault
And super grateful for the two ladies that were working the front desk Super friendly and very kind and hold me because we left our cables behind all in all I would stay there again💯

The hotel tried to charge my card before i even got to the room. I keep my cards locked until i use them, so since they couldn't charge my card without my permission theg canceled my room. I chose the option to pay when i arrived, not before. So the hotel canceled my room, then i had to drive back home 2 hours away cause i couldn't secure a room for the holiday weekend cause everything was extremely high cause of memorial day. I very much upset about the whole experience cause it cost so much money to drive back and forth this weekend. Very unacceptable.

Not the cleanest and beds are cheap! Rooms are very noisy! The hotel is between an overpass and freeway on ramp so there’s lots of traffic noise. Then there’s the trains tracks too!
Noisy neighbors had their TV blasting until 2 am!
Breakfast is half muffins, raisin brand, or Frosted Flakes. Watered down orange juice and okay coffee.
Checkin staff and night staff were very friendly and polite!

Nice and friendly staff. They need more handicap parking around the property because we had to take all our items from the front of the property to the elevator several doors down and also lots of uneven walkways to the elevator. Bathtub slippery and no grab rail so I couldn’t take a shower.
