Looks like the hotel is being renovated at the moment. My room had been freshly done, even including a microwave. It was perfectly pleasant for a single night and very reasonable for the small cost. Unfortunately a previous guest had clearly smoked inside so there was a strong odour when I walked in. Soundproofing is no good either. I could hear people on the balcony, but luckily no one stayed up late. Check-in at Premiere Classe hotels always seems to be slow, but the receptionist was pleasant, despite the language issues. I was able to check in earlier than 5pm without issue. I could also bring my bike into my room, or keep it inside a locked room in the reception area, which might be a good option if you have a heavy bike.

It must be frustrating for hotel proprietors/owners when people leave bad reviews considering this a budget property.Good points,24 hr reception and free car park.Basic but ridiculously cheap breakfast.Adequate size room for one overnight stay.Warm room and everything was clean.The gentleman on reception in the evening was incredibly polite and the delightful lady in the morning was a credit to the hotel.

This is a budget hotel, so done expect luxuries it could do with a lick of paint and updating. However it served our needs really well for what we were doing and the location. The continental breakfast was more than adequate and set us up for the day. Not the restaurant and grill next door is no longer open but it's nothing to do with this hotel.

4 adults 2 children,they gave us 2 rooms with a double bed in each when we booked 3 beds per room.they did change when complained. Rooms were dirty, had to clean them ourselves. Been in premiere classe on numerous occasions so know they are budget hotels but wouldn't sray here again.

There were black hairs found in the bathroom, the floor had burn marks innit and the locking mechanism could be seen when inside the room making me feelnot was not very secure. The stay was cheap (clearly too cheap) and it was only for 1 night so decided to stay, but will not be returning.

Very basic roadside motel. Limited facilities.
Nothing in the surrounding area to walk to. Only dinner option was restaurant in another hotel over the road, but menu very limited & wasn't very good food unless you like raw meat.
Very noisy, was full of families with unruly children who thought letting them run up and down the passageway at 6am screaming & shouting was a good idea!
On a positive- the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the bed was fairly comfortable. Bathroom clean.

Awful…I booked, paid, and once I saw the room decided to keep driving. It felt dirty and tired and I really didn’t want to touch anything. 20 minutes, that’s all I stayed. I had been driving for 7 hours and was looking forward to a shower and some rest, but couldn’t leave faster.

Cold rooms, heater hanging off wall on one room and in both rooms heater not working. Spoke to reception and they offered me a blanket! Half the lights in the room did not work and electric socket did not work. Broken toilet flush button. Mould over the top of walls by window and door. Carpet area on balcony filthy and not been vacuumed for ages. Spoke to hotel receptionist and they could not have cared less. Left early due to all the above

It’s a cheap 2/3 star hotel which at £40 for a double room and breakfast is a bargain. It’s not in the greatest condition but if you’re expecting more then you should be expecting to pay more. Perfect for an overnight stay before the shuttle or ferries.

The hotel is very tired. Only one of the two lights in the bathroom worked, the shower head holder was broken, the outside of the building needs a deep clean and my wife saw a rat running around outside this morning! One good thing was we walked across the road to the Best Western restaurant to eat and of course, the Premiere Class was very cheap. On the plus side, the bedding was clean and crisp and the breakfast was OK for the price. Overall though I wouldn't recommend it

I booked a night on the way to Germany and a night before the ferry on my return.

I had the aam disgusting room on my return. I reviewed it at the time. But this time, it was worse! The heating was broken.

I told the male receptionist about the heating and asked for a second bed cover. He just shrugged...'pah!' And almost threw the cover towards me.

Also, I am pretty sure that the pillow cases had not been changed. DISGUSTING!

EXPEDIA You should be ashamed about listing such a terrible place.
I will be contacting you for a full refund for both of my stays.

In short, TERRIBLE, AWFUL place and NOT worth the price.

I enjoyed the breakfast but otherwise.... This hotel needs a complete makeover. If the other rooms are the same as the one that was allocated to me it should he closed down until it is massively improved or better still demolished and a new Hotel built in its place.
The room was dirty and quite simply worn out. The toilet seat was broken, the toilet and sink were filthy, the shower tap was broken, there was broken wordwork around the door, damp in the walls causing the wallpaper to peel, damp stains on the ceiling. The pillows felt like they were made from cotton wool balls. Simply the worst room that I have ever slept in.

The bathroom door did not close and the toilet paper holder expised all the paper. The shower curtain had only 5 rings and the shower head attachment was broken. The bed had a dirty bedspread and no duvet and the room was noisy and smelt of cigarettes.
The hotel looks like it has long standing residents who are asylum seekers. Very disappointing as years ago this was a good place to stay but now very run down and not worth 60 euros per night.

The good thing was we could walk our dog around a lake over the road from the hotel and it is only 30 minutes from Calais and an hour from Bruges.

I knew we were in for something pretty poor considering how little we paid, so my expectations were very low in the first place. It was a one night stopover, and we were simply looking for somewhere to get our heads down for the night and move on. Good lord, this place surprised us - in the worst way possible!

The inside of the room smelled overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke, the rest of the hotel smelled of weed. The metal door to our prison cell/room was peppered with what looked like pellet marks. There was exposed electrics on the radiator, there were bugs in the room, and a very suspicious looking white stain on the bedsheets. To add to the atmosphere, there were some quite obvious \"dodgy\" dealings going on from a nearby room, and I think the communal balcony/walkway looked more like a toilet than the toilet did.

Needless to say, we gave our key back and got a last-minute booking elsewhere.

On the plus side, the lady on reception was friendly... but didn't seem particularly surprised to get the key back!

Understand it’s a budget hotel but…..

I think it’s important that people don’t think the pictures that this hotel has advertised are realistic. They must have been taken when this hotel was first built. I have included many photos (it won’t let me upload them all) but I forgot to get any of the many rats running around the car park - yes the rats didn’t affect us but to see that many running around was a little disturbing.
Although I understand the price I paid for this hotel and I certainly wasn’t expecting the Ritz, the rooms are disgusting. Mould on the ceiling, paint on the duvet cover, light fittings, switches and soap dispensers hanging off, I hate to think what might have been on the walls.
It looked like the door had been smashed open, you could actually see day light when the door was closed. We were actually concerned about our safety and barely slept as a result. Seeing several people just sitting in their cars for long periods and then just leaving made us a little nervous.
As an English equivalent I was expecting a Travelodge standard but this is miles away from that.
This hotel needs some serious work done to it, money invested and some painting done!!

We were booked for 3 nights here and had to leave after the first as i was so bad. Luckily, expedia came to the rescue. Was SO SO noisy. We didnt sleep. Very uncomfortable beds. One Stopover night

Easy to find and good out of town location close to A16 junctions. Easy to get into Dunkerque 10mins. Good car park wide spaces. Standard layout as with all PClass not much to say except as usual the towels have zero nap and bed a bit too hard. Breakfast I am sure used to have croissants , none on ours but nice fresh bread made up for that. The breakfast price was about £4 so good value , coffee a bit bitter though. We use PClass on a stopover where a more expensive hotel isn’t worth it as you do not use all the facilities. Tip, take your own pillows, they are thin, but we also have the same issue with more expensive hotels so bring our own now .. just don’t forget them !

I am disappointed that I have to stay here again in a couple of weeks, I'm on a non-refundable booking.

The room was beyond basic & I don't appreciate the old spider web on the corner. The room was cold & I had to fight the heater to get it it work, thank goodness it was only for an overnight. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable & thankfully clean but the pillows hardly merited the name.

Have to wonder if anything has been updated sine it was built.

This was convenient (close to the ferry port, with easy parking, you seem to be able to arrive at any time of night) and cost-effective. The guy at reception was friendly. However, for a hotel which is close enough to a Travelodge or a Premier Inn in price, expect a much lower standard. We had cigarette burns on the quilts and a bathroom door which would not stay closed, let alone lock. The beds are nowhere near Premier Inn or Travelodge standard, and there was no kettle or facility for making your own drinks. The cleanliness itself didn't seem too bad, but the room and en-suite have seen better days, with broken bits and stains, and it smelled of cigarette smoke. I would definitely prefer this to a Formule 1, the main difference being that the toilets and showers are shared in a Formule 1. I would stay again as there is not a lot of competition unless you pay a lot more money.

Stayed here before, it's basic but room was OK, was only one towel so had to share it as reception closed after 21.00, walls are thin and couple next door managed it 4 times through the night with bed banging against the wall. Overall no sleep. Also there is no bed protected under the sheet so hate to think what is in the mattress. Best pay a bit more and avoided. Get a better sleep in your car.

The local taxes were €0.25 i paid €7.25 when i asked for the reciept English suddenly wasnt any good and i never got the receipt. He told me to give me an email address and hed give it to his manager in the moring. When i asked the person in the morning he said he would send it immediately. It is all a scam to get more money out of you. If it was a good place i could see top taxes but it was terrible. The breakfast was poor aa was the accommodation. One good thing the shower was superb. Id never return to this hotel and ill certainly tell my work colleagues to avoid. I would like to know the management and tell them their staff are thieves.

We booked this hotel as it had 24-hour check in and we weren’t arriving into Dunkirk until 1am. The check in process was fine, there was someone on the desk to help when the self-service machine couldn’t print our card and it only took us a couple of minutes. Like other reviews the throw had cigarette burns on it but the sheets were clean and the rest of the room was clean as well. The room and bathroom were small but as we were only there to sleep before checking out the next day it was fine. For £23 it was an absolute bargain and if we needed something quick again we would look here. Our room (17) was right by the stairs so it was a little noisy in the morning but not so disruptive we couldn’t sleep. Conveniently located this was a good place for what we needed it to be.

Absolutely disgusting let down.

We were not expecting too much from the hotel, given that we had booked it last minute, but it was worse than we imagined.
The room is ever so small, as is the bathroom - but we could deal with that as we were only staying in Dunkirk for two nights. What we could not deal with was the mold on the ceiling, a stain on the wall that looked like a drip of blood, and mold, general dirtiness, and stains in the corner of the room. The bed was so uncomfortable that I woke the next morning (having not slept a lot anyway due to the lack of comfort) with a stiff neck, and a pain in my shoulder.
On top of all of this, the room smelt disgusting. The room smelt of thick, stale smoke, as though it had been continuously smoked in for years with no ventilation. My partner is a smoker, but he could not stand the smell. The sheets and pillow smelt of it too, it made it almost unbearable to breathe in. Given that it said on expedia it was a non-smoking room, we were shocked. We would not expect such a smell from a smoking room, let alone an apparently \"non-smoking\" room. For someone, like myself, with asthma, it was difficult to sleep in due to the air. We had to have the window open all night; I did not feel safe.
The room was so bad, we got up early the next morning in order to leave, and stayed elsewhere for our second night - somewhere clean, comfortable, and somewhere we didn't mean spending a few hours during the day.
We did not feel safe, comfortable or clean staying in this room.

Avoid at all cost do not book , absolute filth!

As we drove in we already knew this was a bad choice we got the key and my goodness ..Disgusting dirty room , door must of been kicked in as lock was all wobbly ,widow broken , filth on the walls ,stank of fags as ashtray on the wall out side, as soon as we opened the door the smell hits you , smells like musty sweat. The most horrific place I’ve ever been to! We gave the key back straight away and booked into the ibis budget up the road.

You can't really expect much - a bed and a shower. The blinds are great and it's very dark in the room in the morning. Great for a stopover.

Cheap and cheerful..! That’s all I say..!

Room was rather “tired” could do with decorating..! Window blind broken as was the window safety latch..!
We were only staying for one night but would not stop there any longer than that..!

Perfect for an overnight stop.

Close to Dunkerque port for dfds sailing the next morning. Extremely basic but comfy enough. Had vending machine for bits. Guy on reception was extremely helpful but there was also an automated check in outside. Will definitely use again as a pit stop next time.

We arrived at 4am after our ferry crossing from Dover to find that the \"24 hour\" check-in machine had run out of paper and therefore couldn't print our room keys and we couldn't get into our rooms. Spent half an hour on the phone to a very helpful Expedia who were about to sort a re-location for us when we found a tiny and not very clear sign telling us that if there were any problems with the machine to go to the hotel next door... The sign wasn't anywhere near the machine itself and because of a very heavy fog we had no idea there was even a hotel next door!

This said, once we finally made it into our room at nearly 5am it was clean and the short sleep we did manage to get was comfortable.

If you'll be arriving within the hours of the desk being open I would recommend this place, it was good value for money and served it's purpose as a pit stop either before or after a crossing. However, if you require a late check-in proceed with caution as both myself and Expedia found it impossible to contact the hotel both in the lead up to and during our check-in disaster.

Functional and cheap

We needed a cheap convenient bedroom for a family of 6 after a late crossing by Eurotunnel. The hotel certainly provides this to satisfaction for the extremely cheap price but the facility is technically run down (for example the electric door lock was run on batteries hanging off the inside of the door on one of the cables and didn’t work) and the rooms could easily be kept clean ( chewing gum on the floor and despite non-smoking sign a profound smoke smell in each room).

At about 00.30 a large group of young people arrived and proceded to make a loud noise all night long. At 06.00 one of them banged loudly on every door to wake everyone up.....dreadful.

One night sleepover

Very basic, better than Formul 1 though. Don't expect the Ritz but OK for an overnight stay prior to the Ferry. Staff pleasant, parking fine, bed clean and comfortable, the builder forgot to put in the sound insulation

Bad quality hotel with lots of noise from the moto

Bad check in hotel experience. Arrived after 9pm and reception was closed. There was a machine that, after inserting your credit card will automatically issue your key, but for some technical problems won't let it. After waiting 30 min in the cold someone to help turned up. The room was cold, with noise from the motorway, door with cold drafts, toilet small as you find in a caravan, only one towel in a room (we were 3) and the duvet not appropriate for the winter.
