I had a very nice stay. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was kept clean by a pit crew of ladies who were also friendly. AC was a little noisy but did the job very well. Across the street was a 7-11 and a mini market at night for some delicious Thai food.

I’m fussy. I recommend it.

All the usual stuff is done very well. Only down side was the bath/shower combo didn’t have a shower guard. You could only shower while sitting in the bath, otherwise the water went everywhere. It needs updating a bit but I’m fussy and I have nothing to complain about really. Location is brilliant. Everything nearby. 7/11 across the road. Beach is a few minutes walk. Street food opposite we used every day. About £1.50 a dish. Best food I’ve eaten.

Great location, central to most everything. We walked mostly but did take a cab twice in 4 days. Close to restaurants, markets & the pier. Rooms were spacious & clean. Complimentary coffees & sweets until 11am was handy. Staff very friendly & helpful. Great rooftop pool & sun deck.

Basic Mid Range Hotel

Basic small hotel located in the heart of Hua Hin. It is fine for 2-3 days. The mattress was remarkably comfortable for a Thai hotel. Housekeeping was efficient and predictable. Hotel delivered as advertised. The hotel should invest in the upkeep of its roof seating area. It hasn't changed much in the past 10 years, and more of an effort should be made to clean off the pigeon droppings.

This place was fantastic but the wifi not so great. You can log on but it would not stay connected and would drop out all the time. The area is great right in the centre of town. The room was great and was on of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.

Great hotel with charm.

I have been staying here on and off over the last 6 years. The only drawback is at times there are many groups of Chinese staying there. These people don't care for other guest staying here as they are so noisy. The breakfast staff are so obliging nothing is too much trouble for them. I will definitely stay again however I will monitor the school children holidays in China as to avoid these people.

A gem.

We have been stay here over the years. So far we have not been able to find better re position, shopping along with all other convenience. The front counter staff are very efficient and polite. The breakfast room has been revamped for the better. I do feel sorry for the staff at the breakfast as they have to walk up a flight of stairs to retrieve some special orders along with taking used plates ect.My suggestion is why not install a small lazy butler? delivery lift. Overall great will be back again.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel as let’s say the decor is very different almost 70s style but once you get past that we found it a great place . Spacious rooms, good firm bed,great range of tv channels in English which is nice, my room did have a noisey air con unit. Nice rooftop pool overlooking sea.

Very convient location. Fast check in. Stayed in the Premier Suite, great room with fantastic views! Very short walk to the night market and close to the seafood restaurants & bar area (all an easy walk). Small but pleasant rooftop pool.
The breakfast area is a bit small though and can fill up quickly. Overall very satisfied, will return.

Amazing design and architecture inside the hotel gave an authentic experience. Perfect position between the beach, markets, station, shops, restaurants and bars. Rooftop pool was good as was breakfast. Great room high up with views of the city as well as the sea. Only let down was the shower was a bit dirty. Other than that I would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Chalelarn.
The room was nice with stylish decor and comfortable bed.
The bathroom has a deep soaking tub with rainfall shower. If you are older, you may find it difficult to get in and out of the tub.
We liked checking out each floors elevator lobby to look at the Thai decor. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Always a smile.
The pool on the roof is a little small but has a nice view. It was rainy during our stay, so we didn't have a chance to swim in it. The breakfast was better than average in a nice little dining area.
I would definitely stay there again.

No Surprises

I had not stayed at this hotel in some time and wanted to give it another try. Overall, the hotel delivered on what it advertised. It's primary strength is its location, close to the central district. However, if one wishes to access the beach on a regular basis, this hotel is not particularly convenient. The room was a bit worn and quite dusty, but otherwise was good. The hotel could use a deep clean and some TLC particularly in respect to paint and wear & tear. Breakfast was not particularly appealing and the running joke is the use of instant coffee crystals. Fortunately, there is a Starbucks within a few minutes walk. I would recommend the hotel for a 3 day or less stay in the central area.

We picked up this hotel after reading reviews. And, it met our expectations. The hotel's public area is very clean. Some facilities in the room need attention by maintenance department (eg. lack of safe in the room though mentioned as included on Hotels.com, Ceiling Lights ...). Very good location - local eateries, bars, Family Mart, 7-11, Money Exchange, Pharmacy Store . . . all are in the neighborhood. About 10 min walk to Night Bazaar and 20 min walk to Beach Area. Very relaxing rooftop swimming pool. A good place for family.

This hotel was in a very good position close to the entertainment area and the local golf courses are high quality and great to play.. The pool was located on the hotel roof but it was clean and very pleasant to swim in on hot days. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

A gem in Hua Hin!

This will be our hotel in Hua Hin from now on. Great service, nice rooms with window seat and views. The rooftop pool is lovely with a few different options for seating and eating. The location is top-notch, close to the market and just across from the Thanon Chomsin food stalls. Staff is lovely. The breakfast goes beyond the norm with Thai selections, too.

Favourite things - the pool was great, the room view (from 6th floor), decor in room and around the hotel, nice bright hallway, great lounge chair to enjoy the view. Beds comfortable, room was quiet. One thing to note, the wifi seemed to work better closer to the door/hallway than further into the room. Not an issue for me though, at all. Lobby area also nice, efficient check in and check out. Would definitely stay again.

In the heart of town with great rooftop pool

Lovely time spent in nice corner room with views to the hills across the town and also of the sea. Bedding and towels changed every day. Location was idea l for us, right in the heart of town within easy walking distance of beach and all places of interest. Breakfast was included and was more than decent. The highlight was the rooftop terraces, one with pool looking out to sea the other facing west to the hills where you could catch the last rays of the afternoon. Lovely helpful staff most of whom have a little English. Overall we had a fabulous time and, compared to the other accommodation we looked at, was very reasonably priced. There were a few minor issues with the decor but these were easily overlooked. The only other slight frustration was the weak wifi signal. But nothing which took the gloss off a great stay.

Nothing Flash but a good place to stay

Having come from a resort on Koh Samui this hotel was basic accommodation but that suited for a trip to a bustling city like Hua Hin.

The hotel is in the middle of town and everywhere was in easy walking distance or a short tuk tuk ride.

The night markets, seaside restaurants and all the small local pop up eateries are within easy walking distance.

At the end of the day the rooftop infinity pool provided a sanctuary to recover from the days activities and a freshen up before dinner. There is also a quiet area to watch the sunset or to sit and chat.

As the title says it doesn't have a vaulting foyer and large buffet breakfast but it is very clean, close to activities and plenty of eateries.

Great value!

We had a great stay,the hotel is in the middle of the city walking distance to night market,restaurants. Hotel staff are friendly they gave us some recommendation on restaurant that were good and we bought tour from them. The swimming poll is nice located in the rooftop and breakfast was great. Internet work really good too. Room is a lil small but it has a balcony and towels and beddings are top notch. It was clean and comfy so i think it really worth the money.

10 day golf trip. Location perfect, easy access, Wi-Fi, great breakfast, elevator, air-con, new sheets everyday, local transport outside the front door. I will definitely be back and recommend this smaller hotel at a fraction of the price of other big hotels. Staff helpful. No complaints.

Another downside is the room only have one key for you, so if your partner want to sleep more at the same time you would like to go for breakfast, either the room didn't have air-conditioner and light can turn on or you can't lock the room.

Nice Thai style but modern hotel

Room were compact but very nicely decorated. In the middle of everything with great street food right outside the door. Only thing was the towels were very old looking and should be changed as it drag down the whole modern bathroom. Staff were friendly but very limited English so couldn't really help much. Breakfast was good enough choice and we enjoyed our stay as a couple.

Nice small hotel. For the price great room with a very large bathroom. Bed was very comfortable, Slept like a baby each night. Only downside was the provided breakfast. The food was always cold, poor selection and very unhealthy. Coffee was the worst that could be offered. Coffee was bad tasting instant. The dinning room that was used for breakfast was too small at times had to wait for a table. Several times they ran out of clean glasses for juice or water. But overall I would stay again.

Quiet retreat in the heart of all the city offers

I spent two nights at the beginning of my visit to Hua Hin here (on the 4th floor) and then returned 5 days later for a three day stay (on the 7th floor). Both rooms were similar with the main difference being the view - you can't beat the 7th floor view of the Gulf of Thailand. However, the 7th floor is right below the pool and I think it must have been noises from this that could be heard all night long. Fortunately, I always sleep with earplugs and could block it out.

The complimentary breakfast was plentiful. Choices of wonderful Thai foods as well as typical foods from the west. There are plenty of great places to eat lunch and dinner nearby.

We booked a deluxe sea view room. We got a room on the 7th floor, partial seaview, but it was a bigger room than others. Swimming pool locate on the roof, so just walk up one stair. The bathroom design was a bit stupid, water gushes out everywhere in the bathroom when u shower. The location is great but do not rent anything from the hotel. We found out there is a shop next door that rent motorcycle for 200 - 250 baht. Also car rental can go as cheap as 990 baht. This hotel is ok but I don't think I will return since there are much cheaper and choice nearby.

Hotellets beliggenhed er perfekt.
Personalet er meget hjælpsomme og søde.
Udsigten og stemningen på tagterrassen er virkelig skøn.

Værelsets faciliteter fungerede godt: der er godt wifi, et badeværelse med alt det nødvendige, aflåst pengeskab til værdier, komfortable senge og en stabil aircondition. Det er et sted, hvor man kan slappe af, hvile og have en tryg base i Hua Hin.

Hvis jeg skal komme med forslag til forbedringer, så ville det være:
- et bedre skrivebord og en mere komfortabel stol
- at altanen gøres mere brugbar. Jeg kunne ikke sidde derude, fordi AC’en dryppede konstant ned på mig, og det tog desværre noget af glæden ved at have altan.

Alt i alt et rigtig godt hotel, hvor styrkerne helt klart er beliggenheden, personalet og den dejlige tagterrasse.

Jeg kan anbefale hotellet til rejsende, der vil have et enkelt, roligt sted at bo, mens de udforsker Hua Hin.

Amazing service!

Me and my wife were on out honeymoon and got upgraded to the best suite in house the last four days!

Pool was okay, no breakfast but 7/11 right across the street saved the day!

Cleaning: 10/10
Noice: NOTHING
2 min walk from nightmarket

All in all id definitely stay here again.
