Well located walking distance to Market Village mall, night markets and the beach. Room was spacious. Bed comfortable. Enjoyed the towel display each day. Breakfast was simple but ample. Pool was on the small side for laps but ok for a dip. Checkin/out and room cleaning excellent

Beware of room key scam

Physically speaking, there was nothing at all wrong with the hotel but the staff/ managememt seemed to have no problem ruining the experience at check out. During the stay, I managed to loose one of my room keys, which was the plastic card type and something we have all experienced with staying in hotels. Because of this, they demanded 500 baht ($15 USD). Apparently this is also something they have in fine print on the cards. This to me is purely a money play since they surely dont cost more than $1 or 2. The entire stay only cost about $40 to begin with. Due to this strategy, I sincerely doubt the integrity of the staff and business. In other words, they’ll get you any way they can. Such a shame they have decided on unethical practices.

Location is good for access to beach and town centre which are about a 10 minute walk and to local supermarkets, 10 and 20 minute walks away.

Room was big and bright with a balcony. Some have a view towards the sea others towards the main road.

There is a rooftop pool which got the sun all day although the pool is a little too small to swim in.

Breakfast was good with a wide range of choices. Toast, noodles, sausages, rice, fruit and hot and cold drinks. Staff were very attentive.

I did see some reports of it being noisy... the hotel does sit back from a main road that can be noisy, but this really isn't an issue and should not put you off staying. It would be the same in many parts of Hua Hin!

I would definitely stay here again.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and kept in excellent order. A nice powerful hot shower and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was included in the price and very good. Cereals, toast, fresh fruit, and a choice of cooked items. Tea, coffee and juice.
A rooftop pool, gym equipment and motor bike rental.
Walking distance to the main attractions and the beach. 10/10.

The hotel is good. Staff are very nice and polite. Room is big and clean. But the main reason I chose this hotel is because it said it has a gym. Well there are 3 pieces of equipment but not in a proper room with AC. It is in a corridor in front of the lift. There is no AC. I can only use cable station for two body part to lift. The rest are useless due to heat.

An excellent hotel. Big rooms and good size balcony. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The standard of cleanliness in all areas of the hotel including the rooftop pool was first class. Our room was cleaned everyday to a high standard. I’ve stayed in many hotels in this price range and this one is the best I’ve found.
It’s close to the beach and bar areas so walkable for most things. They have new motorbikes available to rent if you need one.

Property is very clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic and have comfortable beds with good water pressure and controlled temperature in shower. 2 nights we could hear noise from hallway stairwell and other rooms when we were trying to sleep after 11:00 pm. Parking is very limited for only about 6 cars and 6 motor bikes. The roof top salt water pool is nice but over salted with no deep end and closes at 7:00 pm I feel 10:09 pm is more appropriate. There are comfortable lounge chairs for relaxing and sun bathing. Staff at desk will only give 1 key card to access room so I had to leave my key card at the front desk when I went out with friends so my girlfriend could get back in the room when she finished work. The first night I forgot to leave the key and she had to sit in the stairwell waiting for me to return because the staff at the desk would not let her in the room even though she checked in with me and gave her identification along with mine. Very disturbing that I paid for a room for 2 people and would not let her in. Breakfast is from 7:00 am - 10:00 am. If you want to eat get there before 8:45 because the food at buffet style breakfast begins to run out and they do not seem to want to add more items like stir fried dishes and bacon. I feel that there are better choices in Hua Hin for that price. Hotel is within short walking distance to many bars, restaurants and the beach and I believe that is what you are paying for.

The place is clean but that's about all I can say about it in positive terms. Location near a busy road without restaurants or any places of interest. There is a place adjacent to the hotel which is used for breakfast but is not accessible for people with any mobility impairments: steep stairs, and the designated link from hotel is on concrete separate blocks located in a fish pond. One false step and you are in the water. The alternative is to use adjacent vehicular laneway and you need the staff assistace to find the eating room. The food is standard combination of western and Thai breakfast cuisine. I had an arrangement to meet a local person upon arrival, but had to seek alternate arrangements when advised by the staff that visitors are not allowed. Not a Thai style hospitality. Stay away.

The location was excellent and the property was stylish and very well maintained. The staff are helpful and friendly. We liked our room which was on a high floor at the back of the hotel. It was quiet and you could just see the sea.
Being a small hotel, the hotel doesn’t have lots of extra amenities, but the rooftop pool is a welcome bonus.

This is a reasonably new hotel right in the centre of Hua Hin. It was walking distance to the markets, beach and city centre. The rooms were nice, comfortable and serviced every day. Breakfast was the highest quality we have ever had in Thailand. A big shout out to the lovely lady who serviced our room, as she could not have been more friendly and helpful. The only thing to consider with this hotel is the limited parking available if you have a car.

Hotel is on the main drag, just off a major intersection. Not the most peaceful location, but on the other hand, within a few minutes' walking distance of tailor shops, massage shops, and a million restaurants serving a variety of cuisines. And i was never kept awake by noise at night.

Stayed here for a week, a decision based on previous reviews. Overall the stay was reasonable enough, however a few very irritating occurrences dampened our enthusiasm. Firstly, the air conditioner packed in late one night, 37C at the time. The receptionist did agree to a room change. Next morning having moved all our belongings into the replacement room, the household staff arrive and complain about a missing clothes hangar, and also took our extra pillow that we requested. The most disappointing aspect of our stay was on checkout. We had advised receptionist staff the previous night that we would be leaving at 5am to catch our train to Bangkok. The next morning there was severe rainstorms, we arrived down to reception just after 5am. We were greeted by a rude young lady that we had not met previously, she had obviously been sleeping and did not appreciate our early arrival. Although we were running a little late for our train, she called the night porter over to guard us in reception while she slowly left to go and check our vacated room, ?maybe to count the clothes hangars again!. Although it was lashing down rain at the time no effort was made to call a taxi despite my request, also despite having breakfast included in our room rate, no effort was made to provide even a piece of fruit to take on our journey. I would not return to this establishment.

Unlike the information available, the restaurant is no longer there, and is now a hairdressing salon. This was very disappointing and felt a bit dishonest. It was raining heavily when we arrived and were relying on the restaurant being available. This meant we had to get a snack from the local 7 11.
The breakfast was very poor. The cooked food was cold and there was no variety in cereals,
Just cold cooked food, white toast, and fruit that was left uncovered and had flies on.
In view of all this we checked out a day early, however we were prevented from leaving and kept waiting whilst staff were sent to check our room.
In fairness the room itself was spotlessly clean and quite comfortable. The staff generally very helpful

Nice quiet hotel.

This is a nice quiet hotel, close to the center of HuaHin. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away at most, as are a good selection of restaurants, and the night market.
Rooms are comfortable, functional, and perfectly adequate for their purpose. They are also kept clean, despite people bringing sand etc back from the beach.
There is a convenience store about a 2 minute walk away, and basic English is spoken by some staff.

This hotel was great value for money. The roof pool is a good size with plenty of sunbeds. The hotel is conveniently located for the nightlife of Hua Hin and the night market both being 5 mins walk away. The hotel is on the Baht bus route for monkey mountain. The breakfast menu is basic but both adequate and plentiful. The breakfast staff are always smiling, pleasant and helpful. The reception staff are very pleasant and helpful and always greet you with a smile no matter what time of day or night may be. Rooms were basic but clean and spacious, with a very large shower cubicle in the bathroom.

Lovely family run hotel with very welcoming staff. Initially hard to find (50ms)from intersection, but down short lane. That's a good thing because it means rooms are quiet of traffic noise. Pool on roof good at end of day, but very hot when sun is out. Bed very comfortable, bathrooms largish. Being older solo traveller, staff seemed to take extra care, even met the lady owner, she was delightful.

I would totally recommend this hotel. It is well located near beach big shopping mall and bus and train stations. The rooms are spacious and clean with kettle and pretty good wifi. Breakfast was good and they had a sparkling pool on rooftop. Great view over Hua Hin.
It is the staff who make the difference. They are all friendly,polite and helpful. The breakfast staff were particularly good.,attentive but not in your face. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff speak English and are helpful. The room is very clean, newly renovated to a very high workmanship. Cable TV with local and international chanels. Great location right in the middle of town - walkable to railway, shopping centres and the beach. Covered, secured parking.

There is a lovely roof Terrace for breakfast, from where you could enjoy the meal with the fresh and cook air of December.

I will consider to pick this place again if I come to hua him next time.

The first thing to know about this hotel is that it is difficult to find, both for taxi drivers and travellers. Indeed the first night I stayed there, I become disorientated after walking around the city area and had to rely on the help of a local good Samaritan to get me back to the hotel on the back of a bike.
The room itself is above budget classification. Soaps, shampoos etc... are provided. My room caught a lot of afternoon sun, but the air con worked well, and there are shaded curtains to block the heat. There is a small balcony for each room. A nice touch was the provided towels being structured into a different bird shape every day by the cleaning staff.
Staff were effective, but unobtrusive.
Overall, I thought it was a tad expensive for what the hotel delivers. However, if you are looking for a room where everything works, including good water pressure, then the Baan Nilrath delivers.

Booked 3 night stay Apr 2014. Lovely walk-in shower and nice stylish touches. Wi-fi good, decent roof-top pool, sun lounge area. Buffet breakfast good enough considering hotel size and cost of stay. Repairs going on to pool area but better it is done immediately and off-season. My bad luck, but not complaining. Overall very good value for money, and will book again on next visit.
