This is the perfect place to stay in old town. Steps from the night market and the old town patio with live music. 2 7-11s, and a lot of restaurants and street vendors.

Perfect position just off the road. Room a decent size with shower over bath. Pool and terrace quiet. Annex has its own entrance just yards from a night market and restaurants. Plenty of shops nearby for essentials like beer and water.
A word of warning and this applies to most of the town centre. Two or three vehicles with enormous speakers on the roof drive around bellowing some advertising from 7.30am. Not too intrusive in the room but sitting on the balcony can be painful!!

The hotel is very convenient in regard to location. It is farely close to the beach. It is very close to the night market and many other stores and restaurants. It is within walking distant of any place we need to go. Our room is clean, the air conditioner, fridge, etc. are fine. We look forward to returning.

This hotel was a charming surprise, the best value for money I'be ever had.

The location is excellent, close to most of Hua Hin's amenities. Short walk from the railway station, night and day markets, and the restaurant and bar area by the Hilton. The beach is a 10 min walk.

While the entry and reception might not look fancy, the room was surprisingly good, with modern furniture, lots of natural lightning (I got a corner room, so extra windows). The bed was extremely comfortable, I had sound sleep for 5 nights.

Everything was and felt clean and the room service did a very good job.

If I ever go back to Hua Hin I wouldn't risk trying a different hotel.

One of the best value for money hotels I have stayed at. Almost next door to night market where a vast aray of food can be bought and beers and cocktails very good and cheap.

The beach is less fhan 10 minute walk with many shops to see on they way.

My second stay at this hotel, One of the best in Hua Hin for the money. My room was in the middle Block set back from the main road so nice and quiet. In room kettle for coffee, also bottled water each day. No food available but plenty of places to eat close by.

As a mature age female travelling alone Baan Manthana suits because of its great location. Its not new or flashy,it has 3 wings...last being the newest. Walking distance to most everything...railway,bus station,PO,Banks,supermarkets,cafes and restos including the Night Market, wet market and the beach. Just off the street, so its quiet,good parking and nice little pool. Rooms are generous in size,with balcony, & have most amenities. No meals but have small refrig & many places nearby do breakfast. I have stayed here before & always feel safe...good value.

Nice hotel close to night market

We had a good time with the hotel. It's located near to night market and shops, including 24-hour shop.

One draw back is the counter staff is not friendly enough, especially when we asked them to open door for us in the midnight (as we left the only key in the room, and we didn't want to wake up the one in the room). We asked for additional key but with some reason, they refused to give us spare key.

Front desk staff weren't that friendly, but if we needed something, they took care of it efficiently. No restaurant on site, but plenty in the area. Europa Guesthouse's bakery is excellent. The All In Hua Hin restaurant has good food and beer selection, but service is slow.

What a poorest service hotel !!!

It was horrible.
First of all, the staff didn't even smile or acknowledge us that she is a staff and just sitting where she was. Very poor service. The room was very smelly and we paid 2200THB including tax which is not worth at all.
It took 20 minutes to arrive to the beach. Only one good thing is hotel located near night market. I would not go there again and I would recommend my friends and family to avoid that hotel. Sorry to say that.

Great location

Great location, near to night market and Railway station. A lot of massage shops and convenient shops. There are some bus service to Bangkok and other places near the hotel. Can take Song Thaew service (few steps away) to Cicada Market which cost only 10 baht. A very convenient location. Will recommend to friends.

Good choice for budget hotel

I have stayed at Baan Manthana 3 times now over the past 3 years. It is a nice and quiet hotel and a good deal for the price paid.The rooms are simple and clean with hot water and air conditioning, television, and comfortable beds. Baan Mathana has a very good location which is right next to the night market and only a ten minute walk to the beach. It is in the heart of Hua Hin so it is also close to many shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and easy to get transportation to Cicada Market on weekends. Staff was helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed our 6 days The hotel is close to dozens of great eating spots and not far from the beach. The pool
is clean and good for sun bathing, the room large, very clean and most efficient a/c.

I love the location of the place, very convenient and central. My room was in the new section so the furniture was probably new and the room recently renovated. I actually did not check out the pool so I have no idea about that. Wifi strength is pretty weak, sad to say, but good enough for email and whatsapp.

a reasonable option for budget-conscious travelers

Baan Manthana is very accessible from the train station--no tuk-tuk necessary--and is located close to local nightlife. The room was pretty bare-bones, the mattress was quite hard, and the lights make that annoying buzz that they do in horror films. For the price, that's more or less to be expected. The wireless works well, and the balcony is large. I only stayed overnight in preparation for a different trip, and when my pick-up didn't show up, the staff helped me to call the office more than once and straighten out the matter. If you're on a budget, this hotel is a good option, but be sure to moderate your expectations accordingly.

Great Location.

Baan Manthana was easy to find, and quite a few of the locals knew where it was as well. The balcony was huge, and the room was very spacious. The staff were kind enough to help us with various inquiries. The beach was close and the night market was even closer. Very accessible and comfortable, I would stay here again.

Recently refursished rooms are very comfortable.
Staff are very friendly but have limited command of English.
Location is great with many bars and restaurants nearby, taxi stand in street outside and night markets around the corner.
Very cheap rates for a clean and comfortable stay. Will use this hotel for my next visit.

Nothing flash from outside but great rooms..

On entry you think, what have I done, walking up old alley-way to old reception but then you get to the rooms and they are new, clean, air-conditioners are great, showers and toilets very clean and the bed comfortable with all the TV channels and WiFi free. The location is beside the night markets and all the local, local dining spots. Staff were very friendly (even if only two lads). A good spot.

We arrived after a long train ride and were tired. The front desk staff was very friendly and check in was easy. Our room was on the second floor in the rear building. The room was clean and a good size. The bed was firm. The AC worked well to cool the room. The TV had a few US stations to keep up to date on the news back home. The balcony was nice and included 2 chairs and a small table. The hotel is 1 block away from the Night Market, 10 min walk to beach and rail station. It was right across the street from a Bus Station that we used to get back to Bangkok (2hrs). If I visit Hua Hin again, I'd stay here.

Great budget option with excellent location

Hotel location is excellent. Super close, easy walking distance to Night Market, scenic Train Station, restaurants and most other needs. Neighborhood is clean, family otiented, quiet, not full of bars (but still easy to find a drink). However, if you're so inclined, Hua Hin's main party zone begins only about 5 minute walk from here & the beach is about the same distance.

I stayed in their cheapest room. It was clean, quiet, very basic but with essentials including safety box, TV, fridge, maid service. However, no room service or mini bar. Front desk personnel speak good English and are very kind & helpful.

Don't worry about less than flattering exterior photo of hotel. It's actually fine once you see in person. Hotel even has an elevator and a decent little swimming pool. I recommend this hotel as a great budget option in fun, safe, pedestrian friendly zone near the beach.

Nice location. Close to train station, night market and bus station is just opposite to Hotel.

Need to walk for 20 minutes to the beach, but not worth to go, you will be disappointed. If you want to have a nice beach, go somewhere else.

Facility of the hotel is very basic with not much service, just a place to sleep.
WIFI signal is so weak and slow.
Swimming pool surrounded by building, limited time for you to have sun bath.

People is nice, they will give you a map and tell you how to go to night market and the beach after check-in.

Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber.Der Balkon ebenfalls geräumig.Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal für sämtliche Unternehmungen jeglicher Art,da zentral gelegen.
Negativ für mich,es gibt weder Kaffee noch sonst irgendwelche Verpflegung im Hotel.
Die Liegen am Pool sind ohne Auflagen,nach einer halben Stunde tun sämtliche Knochen im Rücken weh.
Eigentlich eine Zumutung für jeden Gast am Pool.
Ich persönlich, werde dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen.

God smack in the middle of town

A nice surprice - seaview from balcon, large room, bathtub with shower and rainshower. Hotel was situated right next to the nightmarket. Very quite away from traffic down a little dead end street - perfect.
Small but clean pool.
This little gem I will gladly return to.

3 N. war ich im Baan Manthana, de Luxe Zimmer mit Meerblick. Gute ruhige Lage , ums Eck Nachtmarkt, Apotheke, 7/11, Massagen , Banken alles an der Straße .
Pool war nicht gerade berauschend, aber reichte zum mal abkühlen und auf den Liegen kurz relaxen, Es gab auch noch eine Sonnenterrasse über dem Pool.

ホアヒン駅からも乗り合いバス乗り場からも、もちろん長距離バス乗り場からも近い
ナイトバザールそばの繁華街にあります。
ホテルというよりサービスアパートです。
フロントと宿泊棟が分かれており、小さいですがプールもあります。
部屋の設備はちょっとした長期滞在にも使える仕様になっており
新築かと見まがうほどきれいでした。
インターネットの速度もけっこう早いです。

洗濯機はありませんが、フロントにランドリーサービスを頼むより
目の前にある洗濯屋さんに行ったほうが近くて早いです。
レストランが多い通りでスーパーやコンビニもたくさんあるので
とても快適に過ごせます。

立地がよいです。ホテルの目の前からは180バーツでバンコク、ビクトリーモニュメントまで行けます。ナイトマーケットも、歩いて3分かかりません。海へは10分くらいです。現地申し込みオプショナルツアー申し込みも、近くでできます。おすすめです。

ナイトマーケットのすぐ側でバス停にも近く、とても便利でした。部屋は広く清潔で快適でしたが、必要最小限の設備で湯沸かしポットが無かったのが不便で残念でした。

Vi har været på Baan Mathana i en uge og vi har alt i alt haft en virkelig god oplevelse med super god service. Personalet var virkelig hjælpsomme og imødekommende og de besvarede alle vores spørgsmål med et kæmpe smil på læben. Belligenheden er midt i centrum lige ved nattemarket og tæt på stranden. Lige ved hotellet er der busser, der kører rundt i Hua Hin for meget billige priser. Vores hotelværelse var lige som det skulle være, god størrelse god renlighed og god air condition samt en stor balkon. Hotellet har også en fin pool. Vi kan helt klart anbefale hotellet til alle rejsende. Hilsen to spørgsmålsfulde mennesker.

Enkelt men mycket funktionellt hotell! Trevlig o tillmötesgående personal. Städning och byte av sängkläder och lakan fungerade 100%. Perfekt läge med allt nära inpå. Utmärkt internet uppkoppling. Poolen liten med effektivs kallt vatten.
