The hotel has a fascinating history, whose connection with the history of the town is contained in a lovely book, full of photographs, that they give to guests as a souvenir.
The room was very large, but the overall design idea, which is rustic and rough-hewn, doesn't always make for the most comfortable experience.
The breakfast spread is great, by the way.

Property was an authentic representation of its period with character and charm. With a clear view of the castle from our window it was postcard beautiful. The location was fantastic other than the fact we stayed on a weekend, and the revelry went late into the night. Also, I think it’s worth mentioning that the hotel staff leave the property at 7:00 in the evening and don’t return until 7:30 - 8:00 the next morning.

The toilet was set up to look like you were using an outhouse. The bath did have a handheld shower head but there was no curtain or walls around the tub so it was nearly impossible to take a shower without getting wooden floors very wet

An excellent hotel! Located on the “Main Street” in Cesky Krumlov just outside the town square. The staff is quick, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were very spacious and reminded me of the inside of a log cabin or a Swiss chalet. There was lots of info about the hotel and the surrounding area. The wood floors tend to squeak and may wake up sleeping babies in your room. There is also no shower but a very big soaker tub that comfortably fits 2 people and a baby! (It has a shower head as well so you can shower sitting in the tub. Breakfast was included and was very plentiful and tasty. The baby crib and bedding provided on request was very comfortable.

My pleasant stay with Hotel U Maleho Vitka

As the town is quite small where all amentities and sightseeing is within walking distance, the hotel is quite strategically located in Cesky Krumlov. The staff is very helpful, he helped us with our heavy luggage and also helped us to check out with his friend on rafting. And helped us to pack breakfast as we need to leave before the breakfast starts. overall the stay experience is pleasant - simple basic hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.

Very painful start. Car or taxi can not be brought to the hotel. Dragging your luggage to the hotel and then unwieldy set of stairs to the 3rd floor ....did not enjoy the accommodation. Can not recommend to anyone.

Cesky Krumlov should be on your bucket list. The castle complex is magnificent and the narrow lanes provide hours of wandering. The hotel is very well located in the old town and the taxi can reach it too.

The location is perfect as you have to walk for 5 minutes to every tourists visiting points. Reception staff are very helpful. Breakfast is very versatile. But you have to pay Kc320 for a one~way taxi to the rail station but reception staff is helpful for arrangement。

Excellent location; just a 30 second walk to the main square. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had an impressive assortment of food. The building is over 500 years old; updated with enough modern conveniences. The wifi was not that great; okay the first day, but really bad the second. The bedroom and linens were clean; the bathroom tile grout could use some bleach.
Overall, a very good value for the price; especially with the breakfast included. Would stay there again.

Rusticity and lovely cation were my reasons for secting this hotel. While it met those criteria, my overall impression of the hotel was, “couldn’t i have done better?” The staff was average but friendly; helping without being insightful. Parking is difficult in Cesky Krumlov; dont even attempt driving to drop off your luggage. The map provided in advance is useless as is your GPS most likely.

Okay hotel in a great location

Hotel has a great location mere steps from the main square in Cseky Krumlov. The building is ancient so the floors squeak and it is a challenge to get passengers and luggage to the hotel, as it is in a pedestrian only zone. Our room had a great view of the tower of the State Castle. Only real complaint was that the bedsheet felt like sandpaper and the pillow was way too large.

The good: It was quaint. The staff was friendly. It was conveniently located (but CK is small, so all hotels are convenient).
The average: Breakfast was OK. Not great, but not bad. Room was spacious & rustic if you like that, but didn't have a lot in amenities.
The bad: It was very loud. It's all wood inside. You hear everything in the rooms around you. Our neighbors checked in after we went to bed. It sounded like they were in our room.
Just know you get what you pay for. Was the hotel worth $65? I guess. Had I wished I spent a little more for a quieter hotel? Absolutely.

The most convenient location ever

Hotel is located in the heart of the city centre and easily walkable to practically anywhere, Cesky Krumlov is not very big, by the way. My room is on the top level and overlooks the amazing Cesky Krumlov castle on one side and the street on the other. The room is exceptionally spacious and has an old time cottage feel with pine wood finishings, wooden beams, sloped roofs and creaky floorboards. Note that the hotel has no elevator so you'll have to lug your bags up the stairs to your room.

I stayed for three nights and this place suited me fine. The room makes a very good first impression. The bed looked inviting and the bath impressive. The toilet was a bit odd but it was in keeping with the medieval theme of the setting. The location was perfect and the room was quiet (despite the odd footsteps on the wooden floor above). Breakfast was included in the price of the room and had enough variety for what you need.

We had such a fabulous time in Český Krumlov! Fabulous location - friendly service - great restaurants - great bars... In the middle of it all. Even though it was in the middle of everything, the thick walls made street noise non existent. The breakfast was good (not great) and my only real complaint is that the beds were a little short (we are very tall people) and very hard. There was really no where soft to sit in the entire room because all of the furniture was made of wood. Does that make me not want to stay there again? NOT AT ALL! You can't beat it for the friendliness of the staff and the prime location. It's just one of the things that makes this hotel unique.

Lovely historic boutique hotel in a great spot - close to the main square, cafes, shops etc Quiet spacious room, comfy bed, good wifi. No elevators, so beware. Otherwise perfect.

Perfect Hotel!

It started from the phone call I made from overseas. The reception staff was very helpful and welcoming. The location cannot be better as it is located heart of the town. Once you step out of the hotel, you are at the view of the castle with perfect angle! The breakfast was more than expected and very enjoyable. The room was clean and well maintained as well. The parking was available with kind(with picture direction!!) instruction. Loved stay and will definitely choose again when I go back!!

Great hotel in city center

This hotel is right in the center of town which makes driving through it to drop off your luggage very tricky as you'll be navigating through hordes of tourists. If you are only staying 1 night, I would recommend choosing a hotel on the outskirts of town near one of the parking lots. That said, the front desk staff were friendly and the hotel is very rustic. We loved staying in Room 1, but it's by the breakfast room so might be loud if you're a late riser. There is also a lack of mirrors to get ready. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel wasn't easy to find but when we did it was a pleasure staying here. Very close to everything in the old town. No need for a car as everything is within walking distance. The hotel staff were helpful in every way possible - making sure parking was adequate even though this was a fair walk away but cheap. Loved the whole atmosphere it provided.

The hotel was conveniently located very close to the castle. The room was very spacious and uniquely decorated. We had to leave very early (before breakfast hours) to catch a train and they were nice enough to pack a box breakfast for us to take on the train. On the negative side, staff was only on-site from 8am to 9pm. We had some very loud and obnoxious guests come in at 4am in a partying mood and no staff on site to quiet them down.

This small hotel was easy to find. When we arrived the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with wood furniture and cool craven like ceiling. Beds are hard but similar to many other hotels in Europe. The breakfast was typical of other hotels with yogurt, fruit, meats, cheese, along with eggs. Staff watched our luggage for us after check out and arranged or shuttle it of town to our next destination. Would recommend!

Enjoyed our stay in this interesting building. Loved the use of wood in the rooms - even the lights on the walls!
It was also lovely to have a bath in the room.
The only downside was the breakfast. Limited choice and not great quality. Some of the fruit in the bowl was actually mouldy.

The staff was efficient, friendly and well-informed. They prepared an excellent to-go breakfast when we had to leave earlier than the included buffet breakfast, which, by the way, was copious with plenty of variety. The beds were very firm. The hotel is located on a main pedestrian route from the castle, so that with the opened windows that are needed to cool the room, happy voices could be heard into the wee hours of the morning. There is an enclosed terrasse restaurant at the back of the hotel that is an idyllic respite from the bustle of the of town.

We liked this hotel. The lady at reception (didn't get her name but she had dark curly hair) was very helpful and full of good advice and humor. The room had a terrace that allowed rooftop views and within had chairs and beds that appeared to have been designed by The Brothers Grimm or similar. Breakfast was nothing special but substantial enough but the main benefit was the location - central to all amenities as far as we were concerned.

Not bad for a lower budget hotel. The room we had, in the 500+ year old house the hotel had been converted from, was large but spartan, perhaps in keeping with the original 14th century rustic decor theme (uncomfortable furniture, mildewy wardrobe, and a curious Kafka-esque art theme of insects on the walls). But we had a great view of the castle tower from one of our windows. The staff was friendly but unfortunately not around in the evening, when we discovered that there was no mattress sheet beneath the comforter of our bed. We ended up sleeping on top of the comforter, which worked, as it was a warm night, but telling the young staff this the next morning was simply met with smiles and \"oh, I am sorry.\" I am not sure what we would have expected in compensation for not having bed sheets, but perhaps owing to the apparent naiveté and lack of business/service sense of the smiley young staff, we decided to act like indulgent parents and not to make a fuss about it. But if any of the staff happen to read this, I would like to offer a few suggestions. A better hotel would not have charged for the room for such a serious omission, and even many second rate ones might have offered at least a reduced charge or a drink at the bar. Something...anything. It's the gesture that counts.

Friendly staff to greet you after a long walk from the bus stop - remember that the roads are cobbled and not so easy to walk along particularly with a suitcase with wheels! The hallways and stairways are narrow and you need to bend down if you are slightly on the tall side! Watch your head. We were in room 20 so had lots of stairs to climb - the room had two single beds joined and another bedroom attached with its own single bed. Bathroom was small but clean and tidy with lots of hot water. I must have hit my head a dozen times on the roof (I am 183cm tall)....and the numerous wooden doors to open and close were annoying. But it was pleasant enough.
The most annoying thing was that wi-fi was not extended to room 20 (in fact I doubt any rooms on this part of the building received any connections - romms 15 to 20). We had to use the reception area/cafe for internet.
Rooms can be noisy at night if there are late night revellers.
More suitable to budget/hostel accommodation users.

Awesome stay

Hotel staff was very helpful. Had to leave early, so could not comment on breakfast. Room was large enough, but 'historic' furniture was a bit much. Could not really use the chairs, and hotel could have sprung for some cushions on them. As well, some sort of area rug on our large wood floor might have been nice. Rather stark without that. Location and price were awesome. The Town was simply amazing!
