Absolutely loved Hotel Ebersbach. The location was in the heart of the town but still felt removed and private at the same time. The staff was incredibly sweet and helpful people. The Hotel was incredibly quiet and peaceful and a wonderful place to check in throughout the day to rest and rejuvenate as I explored town. Hotel Ebersbach will definitely be a stopping point the next time I return to Český Krumlov. (Which is possibly one of the most beautiful and serene places I’ve ever been in my life).

The front desk staff were absolutely amazing both the young guy and the lady were super helpful and welcoming. However, the woman handling breakfast wasn’t as friendly and didn’t come across as warm or inviting.

The building itself seems to have some history, which I wasn’t aware of until after my stay. I actually experienced a bit of a spooky vibe in my room at night something felt off, and I later found out others have had similar experiences. So if you’re into that kind of thing, it might add to the charm!

The location is decent, but if you’re dragging a suitcase like I was, be aware it’s quite a walk on cobblestone streets from the main bus stop. Personally, I would’ve preferred staying closer to the museum area at the entrance of the town.

The room was okay but could have been cleaner. I noticed some spider webs. Breakfast was average, nothing special.

All in all, it was a good experience with a few quirks.

I booked a single room. It was ok, a bit cramped, especially when I glimpsed the normal room—so I felt cheated. Hotel is nice. BUT My bathroom was NEVER cleaned during a 3 night stay—although my bed was made, new water bottle and towels. Staff, with huge exception of nice lady at reception were sighing, surly and unwelcoming. They need to replace staff!!!!!

The location of this hotel is perfect. The breakfast is also quite good. My only problem was that my room was tiny (room 401) and was never cleaned during my stay. My friends in the larger room had their rooms cleaned so maybe I was forgotten. I would recommend paying extra for the larger rooms.

Hotel Ebersbach is ideally located in the beautiful town of Cesky Krumlov. The setting is lovely and the rooms decorated to suit the medieval ambience of the town. We enjoyed the breakfast and dining area. With the Castle steps away, it is a perfect place to stay.

Overall Great Experience

Hotel stay was great with comfortable beds, heated bathroom floors, nice decor and service. The breakfast was great and a large variety of options to choose from. My only recommendation for those considering staying here is to make sure and park in the P1 parking lot - you cannot park or drive in the city. From P1 it’s a short 3-5 walk. You will need to walk with your luggage. We did not know that in advance. But would highly recommend as a place to stay in this charming city.

Mixed review.

We were given an extremely expensive option to travel to Bratislava ( 425 Euros). We could have done it for 263 for almost the same service.
The room we stayed had a fan but no AC. It had a bath but no shower. Most taxis will drop you at the edge of the town and you will walk for 7-10 min.
Otherwise we have no complaints about the place, the personnel or the food.

Good hotel for people who can use stairs.

Very good location, good breakfast. The room is clean, floor fan provides more or less adequate conditions. Room does not have any tables or desks. You need to keep everything in your suitcase. Hotel is locked for the night from 7pm, and front desk is manned only till 8pm. If you arrive later, good luck. Though they have a lift, you still need to negotiate multiple stairs.

The hotel is in a 16th century 4 story building, incredibly charming inside, made to preserve the medieval look but with all of the modern amenities. We stayed on the third floor in room 302. The room had exposed roof beams throughout, including the bathroom. The two things we didn’t like were the roof beams right above the bathtub/shower. Not very comfortable to shower especially for a taller person. Guessing floors 1 and 2 don’t have that issue. Secondly there was no shower glass partition or curtain so in that specific room the water would spray onto the floor outside the tub. There’s a drain next to the wall probably to compensate for it but no slant in the floor towards the drain. Breakfast was pretty decent with quite a few options.

This is a beautiful hotel. But one should be aware that it is a hike to get your luggage from the closest parking lot to the room. You have to drag your luggage about a quarter of a mile over cobblestone streets and once you get to the hotel we had to work our way through a maze of steps to get to our room.

I made a mistake when booking this hotel and got the date wrong. While I lost my fee as a no show, when I showed up the day I was supposed to be there, Veronika was very helpful, made us a very nice rate on a very nice room, and made it all lovely.
Parking is in the upper parking lot by the castle. It is a 5 minute mostly flat walk over cobbles. Ask the front desk to get you a 24 hour parking voucher to cut the parking cost.

Only downside i could comment on was that there was no in room fridge , but maybe difficult to find space to put one , but all in all a very pleasant stay at a good hotel at a competitive price .

The hotel is old world beautiful. Location is perfect for Cesky. Krumlov.
Gave facilities 3 stars because hot-tub/sauna was listed as an amenity, but they charge nearly $50 US per hour to use it! Also small deal, but no hot water or coffee service in room for morning or evening.

This hotel exceeded our wildest expectations of genuine hospitality, fantastic decor of old and amenities of new. The bathrooms were very contemporary while the furniture was carved wood of yore. Cesky Krumlov is a very special place and it was not far to walk from parking area under Great Wall of stone, over a bridge and into the village. We loved our time there and wish we had another day...

Upon checking in, learned that not all rooms have air conditioning. Fortunately we received an upgrade to an AC room. No mini fridge. No drinking water available for sale in the hotel. Parking situation is cumbersome. Staff not especially helpful or pleasant. Location is good. Room was relatively comfortable.

Outstanding! One of the most charming experience

This hotel is easily in the top 2 or 3 of the places I've ever stayed in. The charm of this property matches the charm of Český Krumlov. I highly recommend spending a few extra funds and book a suite (e.g. Edward Kelly suite) and reward yourself with 2 - 3 nights. I stayed 2 nights but wished I stayed 3. Cesky Krumlov is like a smaller cuter Salzburg and definitely worth a visit. Summer season is said to be quite busy and I'm glad I visited in the off season.

Hotel Ebersbach is a great boutique hotel. The building is ancient, the décor matches the period, but everything functional is new, modern and clean. Each room is a little different from the other. We picked room 206 based on someone else's recommendation, and it was great. Included breakfast was delicious. This hotel is very close to the car park at the base of the castle (4 minute walk over the bridge to enter the center of town). We highly recommend this hotel.

A very decent place

Nice hotel, very maticoulosly renovated in the German baroque style, with custom made furniture and great attention to detail. Clean, comfortable and in a good location - few minutes of walk away from the old square and Krumlov castle.

On the other hand, breakfast was quite humble for a hotel that boasts 4+ stars and the Christmass dinner was not exactly worth the money.

Overall, a nice time in a decent place. Hopefully they will improve the menu in order to make it a great experience.

The decoration throughout the property is very beautiful and the room we stayed in, 206, was very nice and it comes with views of the castle from our bed. the staff at the hotel is also very friendly and helpful as they help us with the parking that is outside of the gate. The breakfast setup was great. We wish to come back and stay here again.

Well appointed hotel in a medieval town

It is a brand new hotel situated in the pedestrian area of the medieval city of Cesky Krumlov. The rooms are decorated rustically with a modern touch. The rooms are well appointed with a comfortable king size bed, a large desk, an armchair and a cupboard. The room is bright and the windows can be opened. The free internet is working well.
The bathroom is equipped with a tub. Unfortunately there is no shower curtain which is not ideal. Also in the bathroom are missing glasses or disposable cups. In contrary what was listed, there is no complementary bottle of mineral water provided
The breakfast is served on lobby level, lacks somehow imagination. The hotel has its own restaurant but there are plenty of other places nearby.
The hotel opened only in August 2018 and the staff is enthusiastic. In general a very good hotel in the middle of the old town, and once the small details are corrected the stay will be perfect.
There is no direct access to the hotel by car.
The hotel offers discounted parking for CZ 210.- for 24 hours. The car must be parked on Parking 1 and a parking ticket drawn. It will give time to go to the hotel which is in 10 minutes short walking distance, to check in and go back to the car park with an electronic card. Drive out with the former parking ticket – 45 minutes free parking is given and reenter with the ticket given by the hotel.

Hotel Ebersbach was in a very central position. It is very old, so has lots of character
It has been beautifully refurbished and our room was spacious, clean and comfy. We were surprprised to find no fridge/mini bar or glasses in the room. Breakfast was great. The only minus for us was that the promised car parking facility was several minutes away and had to be paid for. This was mitigated by the fact that the staff offered to help with our bags - declined in our case, but might be helpful for those less able - and also the parking fees were very reasonable. We enjoyed our stay very much.
