1. The photos you see are not the same place you will stay, unless you can time travel.
2. Don't be fooled by the wide out shots. When you stay you will be up close, and every item in the room room is what you would consider trash.

4. I might have stayed in worse at sone stage in the last 50 years, but worst I have stayed in in Manila, and worst value for money in my life.
5. New aircon was broken, and old Aircon is put in. Gaps around it might be reason for mosquitoes.
6. Shower was electric box type which didn't work. After cold shower it was repaired..
7. Door says don't lock, but if you don't your stuff it might disappear because it doesn't autolock. They didn't bother to update the sign I guess.
8. Arriving at 2:15, instead if just being able to go to my room, it was \"for a while sir\", so we could wait for some guy in a stained shirt to arrive 5 minutes later.
9. The rating system is broken a little. Location is okay, staff are not bad, but place is lowest level and should be less than 1000peso.
10. I read a couple of reviews that weren't horrible. There is no comparison between this and similar priced hotels in the area. The others are 8/10 this is 2/10.
11. I challenge you to find something worse for the price.
12. I booked deluxe. There is no deluxe. Every inch is old, stained, broken, or tattered.
13. Should be removed from hotels.com imo

AVOID BOOKING THIS HOTEL! I am not recommending this hotel. The hotel needs a total renovation. Pictures presented here were old pictures and do not accurately represented the room’s condition. Toilet tiles have molds. Ceiling is dirty. Bedding seems unclean too! There are loads of hotels with the same price which are way better than this!

If I Had Only Known

The staff were great. The building is pretty old and it shows. The number one problem for me is the location. It is right in the \"red light district\". It was parties and hookers everywhere. The bar a few doors down had karaoke so loud it could be heard for blocks. I managed for 2 nights before leaving due to the noise. The staff told me its this way every Fri, Sat, and Sunday.

Old hotel but is renovated, although not quite up to modern standards. Thee room door has a small sign telling you NOT to lock the door and that the door is self locking. Sadly it does NOT lock unless you lock it. Some tv's work some dont. AC was good bed comfoŕable. The staff is friendly and willing to please customers if they can.

I had a good stay and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Would recommend based of location as its close to a Robinson mall and the LRT station also has convenient places to eat and drink around the corner. The only criticism is the place does feel run down but can’t complain for the budget price

The staff has always been friendly and gives good service. The property has been upgraded to pass fire safety standards. They are still improving. The rooms are ok
Nothing great. Wifi tv refrigerator all work. Bathroom is ok but needs to be updated. No hot water in the sink. The shower is minimal but has hot water.
This is a very old hotel that badly needs to be modernized. Food is available in the restaurant. Shoping is abundant in the nearby mall. Very large modern 4 story mall. Lots of food and shopping of all sorts. 2 blocks from the hotel.

The staff is friendly, the people seemed to do their best to please guests. The property itself is old and needs rennovation. The rooms are adequate for the price. We were unable to get dining hours straight. Our fault or theirs no matter, we ended up sending out for food or going out ourselves. Overall, it was better than our first stay there. I hope they keep improving the property.

On the one hand, I was annoyed because Expedia did not show my booking in the profile, \"booked trips\", and there was also no response to my complaint. After my booking it was with breakfast. There it said no breakfast booked. The staff at the reception was very friendly and wasn't annoyed if you ordered food from outside, it was also brought to your room. The cleaning of the room was catastrophic, the cleaning consisted of the early morning someone came to teach the garbage can. After 4 days I asked that the sweaty bed linen be changed, which was done a day later. The extensive range of care products described is bestad from a typical hotel soap and a mini shampoo. nothing was delivered either

cheap Hotel in Mla I‘ve ever stayed

The hotel is cheap. Cheap in price and the condition is terrible.Lack of maintenance, old and wearing, everything is defect, the elevator is not even functioning, no hot water, loud aircon, loud vicinity.You can not sleep at night because it was next to area where concert or live band is performing every night.

The place looked a little dodgy from the outside, but once you get out of the lift upstairs you're in for a treat:

Ratty hall carpets, the smell of poor, older buildings and rooms which just plain suck.

The \"mattress\" is just an uncomfortable foam block; the pillows are useless and my friend and I both had sore necks and backs from trying to sleep. The curtains only partly block out the sun. Forget about the TV from 1991; the general decor is poor and so is the air conditioning. The toilet is even worse. The first room had no hot water and it took far too long to get us a new room. The second room wasn't as bad though still the shower almost invited you not to get in.

There's no room safe and I was invited with a smile to leave my valuables with the front desk and basically forfeit them. Though not exclusive to this hotel, soundproofing needs improvement as well.

This place looks at least as old as the Spanish occupation and is better off consigned to history as well.

Every single thing about this property was a disappointment. Upon check-in we were given the wrong room type – I paid for a sweet they gave us a room, and then gave us trouble getting into the crack room. They told us breakfast was not included although the plan I paid for specifically included breakfast. They didn’t tell us that there would only be one key to the room even though there were two people sharing the room. And on top of everything else, the front desk staff is rude at every single point in the stay. I would never stay here again under any circumstances, nor can I recommend this property to anyone ever. Iam really disappointed about the cleanliness and the furnitures of the rooms are all damage and old. The bed foam are so thin and sheets are dirty white. Dirty floor especially corners, ceiling are moldy and toilet are moldy in between the grout, the windows are very dusty and rusty,the others are even tide up with wires just to have it locked. There was a room service availabe but i need to go out to the hallways to use phone to call them, no phone inside the room. The staff are helpful when i ask to change the room even i upgrade, but after viewing 6 rooms they are all in the same condition. I wish to enjoy my stay but iam very disapointed in that condition.

The building is old and you could imagine was once impressive, however now it shows its age. The room on first impression was clean but the bathroom turned out to be infested with cockroaches. The bed and mattress were basic but not too uncomfortable. The air conditioning worked well. However, the hotel was located next to an open-air club area with drums, base and singing at extreme volume until at least 4.30 am every day making sleep almost impossible, even though we were on the 7th Floor.

The Hotel itself is a prime time location. It’s near everything from restaurants, to shopping mall, and spa salons. The workers are getting much better with customer service. The hotel does have a restaurant in the lobby., but when you looking at it., as if the restaurant is not in service. I highly suggest to let the front desk know that your eating in. They do have great prices and great food for the money. The hotel and rooms do need tender loving care! The maids can do a better job if they are trained properly in cleaning room. Like the curtains in the room that is in there for several months.. this collects a lot of dust. The showers may not be in working conditions as you like it but it’s passable. Overall., for the internet price they offering, this is a great place to stay.
If your looking for a 4 stars hotel than I highly suggest you go to a 4 star hotel.
This is not a 4 star hotel!
When comes to insects... they may have it once in while, but it is what it is! I had my room wipe down and mop with Clorox . That seem to solve the problem when I stayed here for several days.
It’s decent and very affordable and they workers are getting better of what they good at. Great job Guys keep up the great work!

Not the best value for money.

Staff was helpful and kind. That was one thing I noticed from the get go. The hotel was close to a bank, a convenience store and the mall, another positive. However, the hotel was dated. At first I thought they were going for a rustic feel when I got into the lobby. But when we went into the room, it was old. Our sheets had holes and the pillows were uncomfortable. Thankfully, our beds didn’t have bed bugs because unfortunately our collegues room were infested with them. The bathroom was also old school, bad tile work and clogged sink welcomed us. They didn’t have a rug. TV reception was also blurred and the wifi also had problems. The elevator situation was forgivable but I liken the experience to a turbulent flight. Clearly the management has to do something about the situation because there are far better options in the area. My colleagues and I won’t be back there for awhile.

i availed of the promotion of the hotel, but was not satisfied with the room that i got, though i did not look around for other available rooms for my short stay. i think the hotel management can still do a lot to improve the condition of the base of the bed, the upkeep of the toilet and its fixtures, and the busted lights.

Hotel near to Robinson Mall, just walk about 2 minute to go there.. i'm stay here for 2 days, i want to extend my room but, it was too expensive if walk in.. the receptionist ask me to book via online to have a cheep price.. the water shower not function well, i'm disappointed for it.. By the way, i like the staff, they was very helpful and nice to talk.. the first day, we come back to our room, we noticed that our room's door was open without lock.. hemmm

The worst hotel that I have ever stayed in.

The only good things about this hotel was that there was hot water for showering and good towels for drying after showering. The hotel is old, dirty, paint flaking off walls, uncomfortable bed, pillows hard and lumpy, shower rose leaked and sprayed water all over the bathroom. I very bad experience. The lication was good. The whole hotel needs major removation. Another quest I met was appalled at the condition of his room.

This hotel is so terrible, i didnt last an hour by the time i saw the room, the pictures in that hotel is not the same when i saw the actual room. It smells old, dirty, and the hallway is creepy. Then i ask the receptionist if i can move to another room but me they told me that ill get another room the following day, but i didnt take their offer, i just check out immediately and book to another hotel that day, i will not recommend this hotel to anyone. the only hotel that made me cry, never again!!!

i booked 3 nights here but i didn't stand even at least a night. i had to switch to another hotel at 2 in the morning on my pajamas nearby because this one is nothing but a scary hotel. the rooms are untidy, aircon is noisy, tv is so outdated, furniture doesn't look presentable, CR looks creepy esp the bath tub area how i wish there was no bath tub there at all if you see it, you'll know why. 4th floor's ambiance is not good, smells like in a hospital, if i describe the room 406 the word will be SCARY, feels like a haunted. you'll be scared to use the elevator alone, coz it feels like you'll be stock inside anytime. lobby looks cozy at first but wait check again, very untidy. front desk officer that night (may 20, 2017) was not friendly nor helpful. she asked me what i felt and what made me feel like that, i told her your hotel is very scary. she only answered me with a frown face \"this hotel is old\". wow! does she even had trainings? didnt even feel sorry for me. when i approached her the first time it happened that there were guests and she was like \"okay sir (room attendant) transfer her to room 406 now\". then she transferred me to the ugliest room i have ever had and worse is its a scary room too.

this is the only hotel that made me cry until 2AM.

the hotel presentation is no where near the picture presentation their website. When we arrived there the hotel was very dark and we have to wait for about 15 minutes to be assisted in our room. When we were brought in our room, it was dark, and you can hear the noise of KTV's and Bars around including traffic!
We asked for a more quiet room, which they did but the room was as noisy as the previous one! there flies and cockroaches in the shower room and everywhere in the corners of the room. The lampshades are torn and the air condition was set on 24 degrees and you can't even adjust it! All night you can hear videoke's all around and other guests were non-stiop knocking at doors and all these you can hear while you're in bed. We literally did have a sleep all night!
I would suggest Expedia to remove this hotel from your site as you can't really have guests staying in this hotel! no values for money and it is a complete disgrace for Philippine Tourism as well!
The hotel needs a complete face lift!
I am disgusted by the whole place! I feel so sorry for those working there as they can't take pride of the hotel.
I will never set foot on that place again!

Bad stuff: There were mosquitoes in my room. I got many bites as I slept. I requested to move rooms, but the people working there planning let me know they would not help me...as if they did not care. The water was sometimes only warm in the shower. The carpet smelled. There were a lot of noise. Very poor wifi connection most of the time.

Good stuff:The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner was cool. They did a good job cleaning my room everyday. The location was great for the places i needed to go too.

Disgusting mold & mildew bathroom!

The pictures on the website are out dated. We are supposed to get a double bed but got two twin beds that was on ply wood frame with an 1.5 or 2\" foam mattress! The bedding looked like it is from the 80's. it was very thin worn and had holes! The wifi password is labeled on the room key that didn't work and when we tried to call front desk the phone did not work! And the phone was disgustingly dirty even sticky and two tone because it was so dirty! When I told an employee that was in the hallway, he said yes the phone doesn't work. Which I tried but \"0\" didn't work and it had no info so we could contact front desk. I got the new pw for the wifi and got back to my room and it too didn't work! Remember I can't call front desk... this hotel sucks!

For example they advertise safety deposit boxes at reception, but approx half of them or more were out of order, meaning there wasn't one available for me to use.

This review that I'm leaving was experience, I hope they make some renovation with the place especially the room I stayed in double bed room, the green cover look so dirty, pillow not comportable, broken light not even replace or fix, tv small and old no cable, difficult to charge the phone and next to my room was knock on my door and asking if I can charge my phone my answer was no,very poor wifi, no kettle, i arrived night and the hotel desk I think need more training I Shaw her my reservation and she asking me itinerary number but she insist itinerary number which is i Shaw already and she said the sale department closed I need to be rude I can't wait all night to stand and wait till morning I book Expedia and paid before I come.

Overall very disappointed as stayed here

Unclean room, noisy airconditioning unit , dirty linens/towels, small blurry TV set, dirty cloggy toilet, delayed stalled check in, but keep reminding about check out time. I went out shopping to buy my linens/pillow cases/towel in order to sleep.

Very bad..1st i walking to hotel i ask a room front dest person try sell me a deluxe room for 4000 peso i cheak online then i found standard room available..so i booked it..and that give a room will twin bed..and room is spooky no builders in the morning room is full of sunshine..not good at all..im never going stay there

Old hotel with creepy outlook. Has some cockroaches roaming around at night. Water heater takes time to heat up.

I arrived AFTER 2:00 but my CONFIRMED reservation was not ready. It took 45 minutes to check in.
The Wifi worked well
The hot water shower, shower controls, were difficult and time consuming to figure out and finally get working.

Manila Hotel the beauty of the Philippines.

The best food in the world..... The breakfast is with out question the fines dining achievable, there smoked salmon and horseradish/cream sauce is the best I have ever had and I am a Viking boy and I get fresh salmon out of Alaska all the time.

The diversity of the the food spans the world!

Is a nice place to visit Manila for first time

Closer to a Big Mall, food, transport, and party. The people in the hotel are friendly and try to help you a lot! The cafe is excellent, and this will be my hotel every time I go to Manila!! For me was perfect, for the price I pay, more than I expected!

Good Budget Hotel

I disagree with the previous negative reviews of this hotel. It is in a great location (right by Robinsons shopping centre) and the price was very good for the area (900 pesos per night). Yes, the room was rather tired and due for a refurbishment, but for the price it was an excellent value budget hotel. The shower was hot, the bed was comfortable, the aircon was cold and the wifi signal worked fine in the room. It is walking distance to the nightlife areas with a choice of bars and restaurants, and various public transport options are nearby. You wouldn't stay here if you want luxury, but then you shouldn't expect luxury for that price. I'll stay again next time.
