Did NOT like the hotel, in a terrible location, too noisy, locals hanging around outside, room too small, bed not comfortable, pillows too hard, i asked reception for soft pillow but didn't get.a bit dated, terrible view, no tea, coffee in rooms, breakfast is rubbish no fruit juice, no fruit, and not much choice especially if you are vegetarian, staff not very well trained for foreign tourist.

Nice hotel, with a convenient location,easy access to transportation and the front staff was very nice friendly and accommodating.
One small draw back is the beggars and hawkers approaching you trying to sell different things. It’s not the fault of the Hotel it’s just the nature of the location. Overall excellent value in a hotel.

No coffee? Really?

They had a water heater in the room with 2 bottles of water and no coffee. If you wanted more water, you had to go to the convince store and buy it yourself as well as the coffee. This is the 1st hotel I stayed at in 20+ years that made you pay extra for water and didn’t have coffee or tea available for guests. The shower was also not up to par. Didn't even have a place where you could sit your shampoo and soap so you have to put it on the floor of the shower and bend over to get it. I have a bad back and can't bend over. Had to leave the soap on the sink and get out of the shower to get the soap. Also didn't have conditioner in the bathroom either. The room was fairly comfortable, but while they did have balconies, you're not allowed on the balconies and they have it setup so if you wanted to go on the balcony, you had to climb out a window. Why even put a balcony on your hotel if guests aren't meant to use them? I would stay here again, but only because it was inexpensive, but there are better choices out there for about the same price.

This is my 4th or 5th stay at the Palm Grove. Its very convenient. The staff is very attentive. One security officer spotted me at Robinsons mall and came over and said hello. It was his day off. Grab was there in seconds. Laundry right around the corner. Much much more! I will return here again

Palm Grove - Good for reasonable price stay

Great to get to Robinson Mall. Rooms are dated and need some updating. A little noisy from street and only single pane windows. Front Desk is OK, housekeeping very friendly and efficient. Robinson has a great many good restaurants and a large supermarket. Only stayed a couple of nights. I wanted to try and compare to sister property - Executive Plaza - Probably go back to EP down the road.

The hotel is undergoing some renovation. I've been staying here each time I have a lay over in Manila because it is close to a mall. Last stayed here a few years ago and it looks the same. The rooms are the same. New bath towels and sheets would be a nice change. It has an electric kettle but no tea or coffee.

I stayed for 10 days while visiting family. The hotel was clean, staff very friendly, room was changed every day. The only problem was water pressure in the shower but maybe that was because we were on the top (10th) floor. I mentioned it to one of the room service supervisors but nothing changed. It could also be an old water heater in the shower but that worked very well for heating the shower water. The a/c is an older type with cooling control knobs, not digital so hard to regulate room temps. Overall, it’s not a 5 star hotel but you are not paying 5 star rates either. Step out the door and away from the hotel and people are begging for money or trying to sell you something. But make across the street to the 24 hour Macdonald’s or into Robinson’s Mall and you are ok. I liked the hotel and will stay again, but hopefully a lower floor with better water pressure in the shower.

The only unusual thing is them asking for payment on arrival instead of on departure!

Nice vacation made better

One of the best stay in Manila is with Palm Plaza hotel. Excellent staff, very courteous and attentive to guest needs. Great service.
Room size is huge, nicely decorated and well lit. Bed is really big and comfortable. Cleanliness is top notch. Bathroom and shower is also squeaky clean. Nothing to complain here.
Food down in the lobby is also good. Although there's Robinson Mall across the street you can have lots of choices.
Situated in the heart of the city. Plenty of places to go walking distance or taxicab for $2-5 dollars average trip. Approx 20-30 mins from NInoy Aquino International Airport with usual traffic.
Great vacation I have in Philippines in 10 years made even better by my stay at Palm Plaza Hotel. Thank you guys!

Love my stay here at Palm Plaza. Staff is super courteous and very helpful. Can't say anything bad with the staff.
My fridge in the room is not working but I didn't really use it. I'm near the elevator so I can hear some of the traffic and noise in the hallway.
Otherwise, love the place and my stay. It's nearby Robinson Mall and lots of things you can do. Thanks to front desk MaFe... she's super awesome in helping me with my need to Check in early due to flight changes.

Never leave such a long comment for a hotel stay

Had stayed in Palm Plaza many times as it has always been my choice hotel. But my last stay was not good. Room was not that clean upon checking. There is no face towel. Shower head clogged and the tube attached to it is leaking. The water pressure was super super low. While shower, water stopped. Aircon leaked to the maximum. Call housekeeping and the technician came and say aircon is alright. Although pointed out to him that water is dripping and pooling on the floor. He just say later housekeeping will come and wipe it. Housekeeping came and wipe and left two towels under the aircon unit. In the morning the two towels were soaking wet and even oozing out water. Unless they do an upgrade. I will never return there. The place is run down. Have never left a comment this long before.

A peaceful oasis in the midst of a city.

Upon entering the lobby I was warmly greeted and my bags were staged for delivery to the room. The desk was staffed with three or four helpful associates who were cheerful, calm, and friendly. My room was ready, the mini-refrigerator was cold, and everything in good working order.

My stay in this hotel is good. The room is clean and spacious. The bed is comfortable.
Room service is good. Great selection of foods and most are good.
Their free wifi is fast, I even try to run a speed test and its 3x faster than my pocket wifi but in some other reason it disconnects to my device once in awhile even if I'm just in my room.
Shower is not strong in my room on the 6th floor.

The room has roaches and the shower was not working properly. No free coffee in the room. When i was checking out i was told to wait at the lobby and they called me asking for missing cutlery (spoon to stir coffee) in the room. i went back to the room to find the missing spoon and i found it in the trash can. I accidentally threw it in the garbage together with my take-out coffee cup. There was a couple before me when i checked out and they just gave their key card to the counter and left which is normal for every guest to do. Never in my stay in a hotel that i got this kind of treatment. I was totally shocked and felt offended. The roaches were coming out in the washroom. First time that i have experienced as a guest to be treated like this.

The doorman didn't even open the door for me when entering the hotel half the time. Too busy BSing with other hotel staff to be bothered. The room was ok, had a couple cockroaches but nothing spectacular. The water pressure in the shower sucked. In order to get the room made up, had to ask everytime. But, the location was great, right across from an awesome Korean restaurant and the Robinson plaza mall, and smack between the Mabini and Malate cowboy Grill party areas.

Hotel is located across the street from Robinsons Mall so you can get mostly anything you need. Post office is nearby as well. It is located close to Amazonia club, within walking distance. Their guest policy is accommodating. Definitely my choice for staying in Malate. For this trip, my room was on the 10th floor with a window facing towards the bay, so some street noise but not too bad.
