Its right on the walking street so if you are looking to party its definitely convenient for that, but it falls short in alot of areas.

To begin, while the cleaning lady was very pleasant, the front desk lady seemed over-worked and barely acknowledged me when checking in and out. The rooms are very basic, with a bed that is so hard it will make you sore after 1 night. The fridge was tiny and not very cold. The room safe did not work and theres not really anywhere to put your clothes if you dont want to live out of your luggage bag.

I should also say that while i didnt factor this into my score, it should be noted that if you are planning on sleeping at night, that the hotel is located next to a bar which has live music on the weekends, which plays until 2-3am so you will struggle to sleep if you're planning on having an early night.

The pros: obviously the location is this places greatest strength but i also found that the look had some character to it, instead of your generic hotel/motel and the fact that it offers smoking rooms which also have a balcony is definetly a plus.

It also had a very strong AC unit, a decent shower, and a secure entrance to both buildings (the hotel is actually 2 buildings, i think 1 for smoking rooms and one for non-smoking.

If you are simply wanting a place to spend 1 night and have some fun on the walking street, you could definitely do worse then the P72, that being said there are also better options available, overall 3 out of 5

I liked the view of the ocean, as well as, the distant and skyline view of the city from my hotel room. Additionally, the cleanliness of my room was impeccable! Finally, the bathroom appearance had a modern appeal as if it had been renovated. The bathroom, as well as the room itself, was kept clean daily during my stay.

The only thing that I can think of that needed addressing was the low water pressure in the shower, and the water temperature never got above room temperature.....and I was there for 2 weeks! Additionally, my room was smaller than expected. However, other than that.....everything was ok!

Great hotel right on Walking street but it is loud until 4 am. Easy to go up and down and a nice restaurant attached too it. Staff was friendly and accommodating, older rooms, no safe which sucked, but location and price u cant get much better. Small bathroom with shower and toilet next to each other, but great AC and wifi.

Location is great,litterally feets from walking street but somehow not really noisy in room. Had the free breakfast at restaurant a couple of times and wasn't impressed with the service. Eggs were cold and waitress seems to have an attitude. Not a major problem because there so many other places to eat at a very reasonable price. All and all if you're going there to party with the fellas I recommend this hotel but not with the wife and kids....lol

Had a poorly repaired hole in the ceiling that could have had a camera in it. It was clean enough. Breakfast was good enough, I'm used to having buffet breakfast in Asia, so this was a change. For the price it was good. Front desk staff very stand-off-ish. Not personable, answered questions while not looking at you. No effort to really help at all. Cleaning staff was awesome.

Fantastic staff and service. Nice rooms. Just keep in mind that you won't sleep until 5 am every night. Music shakes the room. If you came to party then it's a great option. If you came to sleep look elsewhere.

Location was brilliant as was right on walking street. Room was spacious and clean with lifts provided. Bit hard to talk to staff or understand what they are saying so lots of patience was required. Staff were not as friendly as most places i have been to but I didnt really have much contact - only on arrival and departure. Overall staff could be a bit friendlier but otherwise great.

Small room with a bed and small shower. Was a little challenging to get into the small shower as a 6'1\" guy the door opens awkwardly into the shower. But it was overall a pretty good hotel for walking street in pattaya as long as you know what to expect there. Music goes late into the morning like 4 or 5 am.

The reception staff consist of some young girls and they were all very nice and friendly and helpful. The Hotel itself is located in the heart of walking street if you are specific about your requirements. It is very noisy at night due to the music from pubs nearby even though I was on 3rd floor. So, if you are looking for quiet time then this hotel is not for you. If you want to be awake till late in the night and sleep during the day then it is a good place.

Hotel located in the busiest and nosiest part of the 'strip'.Nightclub and discos begin their business shortly after dark and continue non-noise stop until the wee hours. This particular room had a struggling AC which had a mind of its own. Woke up to overbearing warm room and unabated noise. This was the older section of the hotel. The newer section, much better. The shower and the bathroom floor were one in the same. No shower stall or tub. Hard to get accustomed to that. No room safe. Safe located at front desk. Youngish staff were OK. Room staff excellent. Recommend newer building to avoid these inconveniences BUT if its partying you covet it would NOT matter.

The hotel restaurant / bar faces walking street but it was always empty, not much fun. The rooms are fairly modern and clean. For the price, I wish I would have stayed here rather paying more than double at another hotel before moving to this one. The hotel room is perfect size for solos and couples. No views but who cares. Check in went fine and well you're on walking street. If you don't know what walking street is you better look it up. The only negatives are if you come after about 7pm, rolling luggage down walking street becomes annoying due to the crowd. They stop motor traffic at dusk so you have no choice but to walk and it's not exactly a short walk. During the day it's much quieter getting to the hotel and they allow traffic. An alternative at night is using the back ally from Pattaya Sai 2 Rd. Look on Google Maps and you can figure it out. A few times I would smell a strong sewage odor then it would go away. I can't tell if it was coming from inside or outside the hotel. If you notice, they cover sewage drains at night on walking street. The hotel also opens the windows here during the day when the rooms are empty. I saw a few mosquitoes in my room probably because of this Other than that, it's a Good Hotel and I recommend for walking street seekers. Families I would not recommend Pattaya.

Nice hotel right in the middle of everything on walking Street. The room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quaint with an open lobby and nice open restaurant attached. The only issue is being in the heart of walking street it's not great for sleeping and you are going to hear music until 5 a.m. They may have quieter rooms, but I think any hotel in that area is going to be loud because the street rocks all night long.

It's super close to the action but there really isn't anything else good to say about it. For me, that was reason enough to stay there.
The staff weren't friendly at all and even seemed as if it was an inconvenience for them when you drop off and pick up your key at the desk. They even gave me the wrong key on a few occasions and I had to let them know I was in a different room. This was concerning, especially since I had thing in my room I didn't want someone else carrying off.
The room was fairly clean and the housekeeping staff did a decent job whenever you need your room cleaned or new towels. However, there were stains on some of the furniture and the window wouldn't close completely, leaving abaout a 20cm gap between the window and the seal.

The Internet connection worked well the room and at the resto downstairs.

If you aren't planning on being in your room very often and you want to be on walking street, then this place is for you.

P72 was ok with me

Got a newer room in the adjacent building. No balcony there. Great big shower with glass window facing the room. The room was modern but the A/C didn't keep up. An electronic key-fob turns on power so it gets warm when you are out and doesn't cool quickly enough for complete comfort. The hotel is centrally-located right on Walking Street with all it has to offer. I had no noise issues from the street but a few guests were loud in the hallways. The al-fresco restaurant and adjacent bar served adequate food and cold beer with a great spot to people-watch.

I thought it was a good value and would consider staying again.

The water did not get hot, there were some issues with the cable system not functioning properly. I requested some additional towels and was told that you can have only two towels. That policy is ludacris. If the towels are not there when I leave just charge me , dont tell me I cant have a freakin towel.
I asked for a receipt for a cash deposit and was told that receipts were not given. I was handed the deposit back so that was fine with me.

For lovers of Walking Street!

I (single male) initially booked for three nights at P.72 and ended staying for around a week, so I obviously had a pretty good stay. The room was not very up to date or in brilliant condition, but for the price (I stayed in the cheapest room option) I'd say it was very fair, so no complaints on that front whatsoever (just mentioning it in case you want to stay in luxury, in which case pay more for a different room option or hotel). The staff were always very helpful, especially when it came to facilitating my nocturnal activities. The thing to note about this hotel is its location - which is either absolutely perfect or perfectly terrible, depending on what you're in Pattaya for. As it's on Walking Street, access to the clubs and bars there is brilliant, and I even used my hotel room toilet rather than using those in the bars/clubs as it was so close. But, if you're a family having a relaxing beach holiday, this may not be ideal as it's a noisy street up until about 4am. just bear that in mind.

We stayed in the newer part across the small alley. It appears fairly new. Our room had a balcony. I would not ask for it again. Could have used the area in side the room. The otherrooms had more room inside. But to be fair, anyone staying on walking street only needs the room to sleep. We were there to party. If that is your intention. 100% reccomend P72. It is where the action is and the restaurant has good food and great breakfast set. Great A/C in rooms.

My initial concern about this hotel was noise level at night, given it's location. But I was told to book in the new building at the back. Couldn't be happier with the room. I was on the fifth floor and had ocean views. Peaceful at night and the room was very clean, and I still had Walking Street at my door step every night. Rooms in the new building might be a different cup of tea though. But they're fine if you're not the sort of person who goes to bed before 5am. Who sleeps in Pattaya anyway?

Check-in was quick and painless. Girl friendly of course, and the restaurant down below isn't too shabby at all and has very attentive staff.

I will definitely be staying there again.

My honest opinion

I'm a Military Contractor working in Afghanistan and I'm staying here for the first time on a solo trip. Great location and great price. The rooms are what I expected and there is everything you need. The beach, mall and everything is within walking distance and there is a 7/11 right next door to the hotel to buy beer and vodka and pre-game before you go out to the clubs. Now the bad...I never been a complainer and I stayed in some \"crazy\" places overseas in the last 10 years, but here we go...I don't know if the front desk lady is just rude or can't understand English very well, but yes, she is just very rude. Not greetings when you first arrive, no smiling, and she just watches movies on her phone all day. Every time I order room service, she gives me a death look because I'm bothering her. The food here is about a 6.5/10, but pretty cheap for what you get and pretty cheap compared to the rest of walking street. The cleaning ladies took about 6 dollars in change I had laying on the desk. They gave it back after I confronted them. Lastly, the room is very noisy and you can hear a lot from outside (Esp at night with all the music) So get drunk so you can sleep!!!..lol Overall I would stay here again, because it's so cheap and close to everything. But just know in life..you ALWAYS get what you pay for and this is no exception...Bring or buy a lock for your suitcase to hide all your valuables in while the girls are cleaning your room...Hope this help

A well maintained hotel but it lacks Character

I just stayed 5 nights at P.72 and it was lot more worth than the money paid. Rooms were maintained very clean. The location of the hotel was amazing - it was right in the center of walking street exactly opposite to lucifer and marine discos. Very next to the hotel is a Seven Eleven where you can buy almost anything very cheap. I would certainly prefer to go to this hotel again and again.

Don't expect too much. But this is a more than decent place to crash after some good partying fun. Don't expect peace and silence. This hotel is in the center of the hottest discos of pattaya and there will be huge noise and loud music right from 5 pm in the evening till 5 am in the morning. Then in the morning it is very quiet. If you love that noise and music the way i did, then this place is just for you.

Staff : The lady receptionist everyday early morning say around 8 am was very rude, un-courteous, ill-mannered and harsh. Never expected that she shouted at me in front of many guests for not leaving the key in the reception when i left for breakfast. I got ashamed but moved on without creating a scene as i did not want any such incident to spoil my happiness on a holiday. Many other guests from all countries had the same problem with her. Chucking her out of the job should be the best thing to do to maintain the character of otherwise such a lovely property.

Excellent location in cheaper rates

The location is excellent, right on walking street, the prime area of Pattaya. Rooms were clean and big in size and cost wise also were cheaper. No expenses on conveyance for walking street or going to jetty for different islands. The only lacking point was that the hotel neither provide morning tea/coffee not any electric kettle.

Good location. horrid staff

Very rude staff. Not at all considerate. the first time ive been asked for money to clean the room. The hotel is right on the walking street. Not a good place if you need a sound sleep. Will be noisy till early morning.

A good Hotel at great Location

The Hotel is right on the Walking Street. And hence you feel at the center of all the happening and never ending night life. The Hotel Staff was a bit rude. Don't know the reason was \"No English\" or something else.
The reception guy seemed to be annoyed just by asking for the wi-fi password a second time. Although, we didn't have to deal much with them. A cool place to have a decent sleep and get going.

Pattaya is a disgusting pit of human misery

Our hotel was right on walking road so convenient for nightlife but the walls are thin and sleep is difficult if you are in bed before 4am. The beds are ok but the sheets are stained and seedy. The whole atmosphere is gross and feels like cheap motel to take a \"worker\" to for a few hours. At least the AC worked and the reception was polite and spoke decent English. However, they don't even provide shampoo and staying here supports the disgusting industry that is flung in your face the moment you leave the lobby. I would never go there or to Pattaya again.

When I arrived at 2 AM the night Clerk looked at my booking and tried to make me go to Drem Hotel which is a bad location whith no elevator. Iargued for 10 mins. finally went down Walking Street with my luggage in tow. A tourist Cop looked up my Prepiad reservation, saw I was correct went back with me and told the clerk \" Give this man a room or I will give you one\". I was put in a Deluxe room. The A/C did not work.There was no remote for the TV or A/C.The room smelled terrible had blood all over 1 wall. I check out 4 hours later and went to Tina's Suite where I had a wonderful stay. Don't EVER consider that place .
