Well my only reason for traveling 38 miles from the city I normally stay was bec' all the hotels/motels, were all booked due to a special event being held at The SAP Center & Levi Center as well.
By the time I arrived at the Rodeway Inn in Livermoore, CA it was 1am. I got settled in and took a shower and when I came out of the shower and went onto my bed I happened to hear the room's door slam directly underneath me and low & behold someone was now knocking on my door. Of course that kind of freaked me out so I didn't say a word I didn't look at my window I didn't look through the peephole I didn't do anything I just sat on the bed and said nothing and waited for this person to go away I just thought that was a little shady and peculiar to say the least for that time of the day other than that the room was very clean the amenities were all there microwave refrigerator TV of course Wi-Fi so it was it was a good state but I wasn't very comfortable because of that reason

Room was clean and quite nice for what the hotel looked like from the outside. I do wish there was a sidewalk up to the hotel though since I do not own a car and had to walk in the parking lots to get to the property. Relatively quiet and a good price. Some of the rooms had long-term tenants who would not close their door or were lurking around the outside of the property though, so I'm not sure I'd want to stay here if I was traveling solo. With my partner, I'd stay here again.

Room was good except for size of shower and shower head. Stairs were not fun to go up with stuff/cart. Bed to me was comfy and enough pillows. Also not the best but they work. This is the perfect place to stay if you need an affordable room for a night. There is a Mexican restaurant and a big convenience store within walking distance. All of the rooms are right in front of the parking area, so you won't have to carry all of your belongings too far. The buildings are a little older, but the rooms are clean. I have no complaints.

No Frills Economical One Night Option
This is just a hotel for a one night stay near the freeway, shopping and restaurants. There appeared to be some undesirable people in the area. The room was small with no refrigerator or microwave. The mattress was on a metal frame with no box spring. This is a no frills one night option.

Worst place I've ever stayed
No amenities: no coffee maker, no refrigerator, no microwave, no iron, no ironing board, no hair dryer, no swimming pool, no workout room, etc. Just free wi-fi and a somewhat dated TV. Some of the other people staying there made it resemble a halfway house. The older man working the Front Desk was unsocial and definitely shouldn't be dealing with the public.

Most economical stay in the Tri-Valley
The Springtown Inn is a very basic motel. Everything is clean and functions properly and maintenance came within 30 minutes when a minor plumbing problem was called in. I recommend requesting a room with laminate flooring. The flooring seems relatively new, whereas a carpeted room I stayed in had an old motel-room smell. The motel is right off the freeway, but there isn't any road noise in the rooms or much outside. Everyone seemed respectful of quite time. The office was very difficult to reach by outside phone and there are periods of 30-60 minutes when no one is in the office. The staff are knowledgeable, but not overly friendly.

The hotel is pretty good for the construction industry rough necks. Has that old smoke stench in every room that ive stayed in not a deal breaker. The carpet and mattress have seen better days! Good water pressure on the hot water good for aching muscles. Staff is very professional and courteous. Unfortunately the rooms are not equipped with a microwave or refrigerator that explains the dirty carpets . You get what you pay for with this hotel.
