I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and this is the first time I didn’t see any hot plate options like eggs and meat. But a staff member asked what I would like and the cook in the back prepared it. It’s the low season, so I suppose that was why.

This was a large traditional hotel. There was a buffet breakfast and all the food was delicious. Our room was nice but the bathroom could use some updates. The shower got the bathroom floor all wet despite my efforts to prevent it.

We booked this property the night before flying out, due to the proximity to the airport. Upon arrival, we had a great welcome by the ladies at the front desk, who were able to check us in an hour early, and even provided a room upgrade. They were kind, efficient, and professional.

Fantastic hotel
Amazing stay and regretfully we didn’t stay longer than one night in Heraklion. The hotel is a 10 min walk to the port which is really lovely. The hotel is fantastic and the breakfast was superb, although we had to abruptly rush out after 15 min because we had a flight change and needed to rush. We will come again and stay longer to enjoy the amenities more next trip!

I loved everything about this hotel from the fantastic breakfast to the outdoor cafe. The building is in a good location with quick access to many cafes and bakeries. The location seemed very safe with access to ATMs. The staff was polite and helpful and our room was exceptionally clean. It’s also easy walking distance to city center.

Location was great - about 1 km walk to the main Iraklio city center / square where all the action is. The hotel is also 10 minutes from the port,
10 minutes from the airport and about 10 minutes from Knossos palace (which is a must-see in Crete). They have a really nice bar on the reception level that is open late if you want to wind down after a long day of sightseeing with a drink (or many). All in all, excellent hotel and excellent staff - highly recommend!

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast the best we’ve had on our travels with so much fresh produce and warm food options. Good location with a short walk (15 min) to the old town, also the ‘hop on hop off’ bus stops straight outside the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! When I arrived on an extremely hot day I was dripping with sweat after walking from the bus station. The concierge offered me a \"refreshing towel\" to wipe my face off and honestly, it was the highlight of my 3 weeks in Crete. They answered any questions I had. I needed to mail some postcards and they had stamps for sale and mailed them for me, saving me from having to walk around and figure that out. They had a cab to the airport waiting for me at 6am on my departure day which was a huge stress relief. The room was great, big, clean and air conditioned. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious. I only had a few minutes to spend in the pool but it was nice. It seems to only get sun on it for a couple of hours since there are buildings surrounding it but it didn't matter since it was so hot outside and I didn't need to get sunburnt anyways. The location was convenient. Plenty of dining options nearby and also a short and pleasant walk to the city center (maybe 20 mins). Part of that walk is through a relaxing park with a nice place to get coffee. Would definitely stay here again! Do it!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The breakfast was fantastic, and the location was good, less than a 15 minute walk to the city center. Really had a North American hotel feel to it, particularly the rooms. Pool was closed for cleaning unfortunately, but all in all, we didn't have any issues. Only about 10 minutes or so from the airport, so very convenient

Fabulous hotel with a great pool and poolside cafe and bar ;). The rooms were very comfortable, the showers were hot and had great pressure, the beds were comfortable, the room clean. The staff helpful. We took a cab for 6.5 Euros to the Lion's Square for shopping and to visit the venetian castle at the port. Lots of shops and great restaurants in Lion's Square. All the taxi drivers know of the Galaxy Hotel.

Travelled for a long weekend in June 2022. From the moment we walked through the door we were met with friendly professionalism and courteous and efficient staff.
The room was as close to perfect as you could ask for the location & price. Food, pool all great.
The location is great for tourists, close enough to the harbour to walk into town, open top bus stop right outside and plenty of places to eat etc.
The only two 'negatives' I would mention are:
1) One of the two lifts was out of order that meant we had to wait a little longer to/from the 6th floor (not a big deal)
2) Parking was not great but the concierge was a big help with this

When we came out of ferry, Heraklion seen fro the port was looking pretty shabby. But as we walked into Galaxy hotel, we were relieved to see a big (by European measures) clean modern hotel with nice smelling reception area. We upgraded ourselves into a larger room with a nice big bed, good quality sheets, towels and robes. We enjoyed complete silence at night and light blocking curtains. Staff is professional and helpful.
