The rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was extremely spacious with a bidet. Lots of restaurants and cafes surrounding the area and close to the subway as well. The lighting could be better. Furniture was a bit worn down but not a big issue. Staff were also friendly!

The hotel is in really bad conditions, it's extremely dirty and I couldn't stay here because of how dirty it was. I booked for 5 nights but ended up only staying one and left to another hotel. The staff is really friendly, no issue with them. There were stains and dust everywhere, inside the room and in the hallway. Made everything feel unhygienic.

What happens on other side of window??

The room in which I was staying had solid window (no glass) that would open next to a wall.. and you could hear the air conditioners fan.. which I very annoying. Since it wasnt a glass window and I cant open it, I have to stay in dark room for more than 2 weeks.

I had to change rooms twice due to some hair found on bedding. Manager explained that it is not easy to remove all hair from bedding. Tried to sleep but felt itch so checked out an hour later and went to another hotel. Didnt bother asking for a refund. Manager was friendly and apologetic.

The hotel was ok overall. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

However, it could be improved for a hotel at this range. There was only one bedside table so on one of the sides you couldn't leave your phone, for example. There were no bed lamps, only a switch next to the bed that would turn all the lights in the room on. There were no place for opening your luggage comfortably. The TV remote would not work with external sources like USB. The slippers provided were not disposable so I had my doubts there were properly cleaned after the previous customer used them. The room was clean but the furniture was dusty. The bathroom had a constant pipe bad smell and it was a bit dump due to lack of proper air circulation. The heating/air conditioning system was a bit complicated and it would reset to a high heat setting after leaving the room so it wasn't easy to set the proper temperature in the room. No one answer to the room phone the two times we tried to call reception and we had to call through a normal mobile phone.

Amenities were good and free water/juice was provided. The location was good in terms of places to eat/drink/supermarket but not the best for tourists. Service was ok.

The feeling was that it was more a motel than a hotel, to be honest.

I needed a place to stay in Seoul for a couple of days, and found a deal for this hotel. It’s relatively close to the subway, and the area has a lot of restaurants and bars to visit. There’s also some cultural places you can visit right across the street.

The hotel is nice, though a bit oldish. The main issue is that there’s a persistent smell that I noticed the entire weekend. I don’t know If it was a problem for that weekend only, but if I had to guess, I’d say there’s something wrong with the sewage pipes in the hotel. It’s a noticeable, unpleasant odor considering overall, the hotel is quite clean.

If it wasn’t for that, I would give this hotel five stars for the price I paid for it.

Conveniently located (walking distance to Line 5 and Line 9 stations) hotel offers very good price-to-space ratio stay. If you spend most of your day sightseeing or on business, then hotel Kobos likely to be exactly what you need - clean room, included breakfast, easy commute.

We picked this hotel because the expedia info on the hotel said there was a pool. No such thing. Kids were disappointed. Was in quieter part of Seoul, but was older and not as nice of a place as I thought it would be. Wouldn't stay there again.

The staffs are friendly & the rooms are reasonably priced (about 30% lower than Lexington that's nearby). The major difference is the hotel lobby size. On the up side, Hotel Kobos is equipped with jacuzzis and offer free breakfasts although there aren't many selections to choose from. The plates/cups in the cafeteria is little nasty with grease & stains. You're better off going to the nearby coffee shop such as Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks.

Its really a nice place to stay. With huge rooms and a computer available in the room. With free Wifi. The rooms comes with a king size bed and a single bed. The bathroom is huge with shower room, jacuzzi with electronic toilet bowl. Beautiful n tidy rooms.
The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. They will help you if ask for any help.

I was choosing between this hotel and the one next door and I think I made the right choice. I liked the location very much. It was walking distance to the park, the IFC Mall and various places to eat. It was also not far from the train station (National Assembly). I found the room to be large and a great value for the money. The steam room in the shower was a great bonus. There was plenty of body wash, shampoo, and rinse in the shower. I could have done with some lotion, but luckily, I had my own. The towels are tiny, but that seems to be common in South Korea.The area is fairly quiet at night and the bed was pretty comfortable. I would book this hotel again.

Very nice hotel in a clean business area!

I would highly recommend anyone who is searching for a hotel to stay in the Yeouido area to consider this place. It is a very western hotel that has great amenities. I think the thing I enjoyed the most was the fact that the hotel was in a quieter more business area of the hotel, so I was able to get lots of rest.

The steam shower, jets in the tub, the spaciousness of the room really provided an overall pleasant experience.

Yeoido island hotel in the middle of Seoul

The hotel was easy to find, clean, and staffed by polite and efficient workers. The bathroom had a huge jacuzzi tub which was really nice, and the bedroom was spacious. The bed was hard as a board as most Korean beds are, but for the price of the place I would have expected a much more comfortable bed. The water dispenser did not work for either cold or hot water, although they did provide bottles of water which was nice. The breakfast hours were short - only from 7 until 9 on a Sunday morning. I got there a few minutes before 9 was not allowed in, which was disappointing.

Overall it was a good place to stay but a bit pricey considering these issues.

Incredible stay!

Initially bummed that my usual choices of hotels in Seoul were sold out, I chose this place because it was a great deal. Boy, was I ever glad I did. The hotel was so easy to find (right behind the Lexington) and check in was a breeze. I went to my room and it was so spacious, the bathroom was so big, and there was actually a computer in my room. I still couldn't get over it. A real computer in the room. Not a shared computer in the lobby. The rooms all had wifi, too, at no extra charge, which the pricier, bigger hotels do not provide. There is a free breakfast buffet, which is cool. The customer service was always amazing. The people I interacted with were all really nice and professional. I was so glad to find this place. It made my stay in Seoul very comfortable and easy

Good location, poor standards!!!!

Starting with the positives, the hotel's location is fairly good if using the metro, you can be anywhere in seoul within 20 mins, and is located 5 mins walk from the national assembly station. Plenty if mini-marts nearby and the street opposite the hotel has a good selection of restaurants, which are fairly cheap for seoul, due to their location. Breakfast is decent with plenty to choose from, even for veggie's, but the downside is the breakfast lounge is so cold that the food tends to be luke-warm less you grab it when they put it out. Room standards are average, they have all the basic amenities you need and a few more and are decorated to a acceptable standard. however it seems to have fallen in to dis-repair, with the air-con and the sauna/shower not working. What lets the hotel down is the very poor standard of cleaning as we found the previous guests used amenities on the bathroom floor and the towels were still wet, which would indicate they were not changed or just put back by the cleaning staff on the rail, which is worrying. The front desk reception staff are the most surley i have encountered in seoul, and seem more interested in themselves rather than their guests. All in all though for the price you pay for the hotel, i suggest it would be average, and if you can get past the above complaints/ or will be out most of the time, then give it a go.

There was minus grades in the breakfast room, so that everybody had to eat with jackets and scarfs on. Also I have never drank so bad coffee in my life (it was basically hot water). Also there was no butter with the toast available. However the hotel room was warm and big, and the bubble bath and cosmetics were excellent. There was also a steam sauna closet, but it was broken (which was not informed to us and was not repaided even if we asked many times). We were three persons, but every day they brought us only 2 set of everything. Otherwise the service was relatively friendly. I have really mixed feeligs about the stay, and am not sure if I would recommend the hotel to a friend. For sure not at least in the winter time!

A pleasant surprise in Seoul

This hotel was a surprise. Having stayed in some poor quality places in Korea this establishment exceeded my expectations. The area around the National Assembly is organised, not frantic like the rest of Seoul. The hotel itself is pleasing to the eye and the rooms offer spa, steam room , internet, international tv and above all, comfortable beds. On top of that breakfast is thrown in. For the price we paid it was a gem.

The hotel is near to the undergroud station. Light breakfast provided. It near the fish market and local zoo and fun park, which is good. Also, you can take the airport train + undergroud to this hotel but note that express line is not stop at this station.

In addtional, only take the airport train when going to / from airport. Do not take airport line to / transfer to sights.

The good things about this hotel was the free multi-cultural breakfast, easy to catch taxi's from, and very helpful staff. The bad things were no microwave in room, located in goverment offices, so limited amount of restaurants and things to do, no washing machines or a laundry mat nearby, the in house service wanted $7 to wash a shirt.

They need to do better maintenance

I appreciated the convenience of the hotel as that close to the business area that I worked. One more good thing is; they provide computer with very good quality of Free Internet service as well as the water machine, not like the others just two bottel of water.
I suggest them to do better maintenance of the room facility and deeper cleaning, really dusty surrounding the computer that put under the table. And bathing cloth in the bathroom at ALL colored and just dare not using. Not English label such as Shampoo, conditioner .. in the bath room. The airconditioner is a bit noicy for sleep and I have to turn it off.

It was great. I recommend it for shorter term staying. I was just staying there for 2 days until I could move into my apartment. Its relatively small, and unless you know how to take the subway/busses you will not be able to find many things in walking distance in terms of touristy things. There are many nore bangs and plenty of restaurants in walking distance though! The rooms are very nicely laid out and decorated. I like the theme of the rooms. The only problem is that it was sooooo hot!! The oldol heating is always on high and you cant turn it off. I had to keep the window open it was so hot the last day i was there i was nauseous. So i kept the windows open at all times. but the staff were helpful and friendly.

Hotel Kobos - Can find better for the price

Hotel room has cigaratte ash inside, although it was a non smoking room. Location was close to subway, about a 5 minute walk, but hotel itself is too far away from the main attractions. You can find similar hotel pricing near Myeong Dong and better quality.

this is my 2nd stay in this hotel. My partner & i experienced itchiness after using the bathtub from the room that we've stayed. Our legs were bitten by some unknown insects & we sometimes see tiny flies in the bathroom. also our bathing water couldn't run smoothly away from the bathtub's drain. Other than this, it's overall a good stay at this hotel.

Hotel Kobos - reasonable and adequate

Our stay at Hotel Kobos was a good experience. The room was spacious and comfortable. Although the lobby was almost non-existant, the free breakfast made up for any lack of place to lounge downstairs. The staff could have been a little more accomodating, but they weren't rude. Initially the hotel was pretty hard to find, as it is on a narrow side street near the National Assembly Bldg.

It was first time trip to Korea and we just stayed for 2 nights. The hotel room was very reasonable and spacious. When we checked in the room, the bathroom was not clean well,but the hotel staff corresponded to us properly. Hotel staffs were friendly and some of them can speak Japanese as well. Location was fine, it takes about 20-30 min to the central area by taxi. We always used taxi to everywhere as taxi was very reasonable price. We would like to visit to Korea again.

Very nice room; great breakfast; not a central location, though.

The Kobos hotel is easy to find but it is not in a central location. It has very nice rooms with bathrooms as big as the room, which is amazing in Asia. The breakfast would satisfy people from any country, including the USA with toast, eggs, juice, cereal and, of course, lotsa strange stuff. The only issue is the location (which is why the price is better considering the nice hotel). It is a good enough area, but the subway line ALWAYS requires a transfer to go anywhere (except to the Airports, which is direct). A cab will not find your hotel, but if you tell him to got the Hotel Lexington (which everybody knows due to its huge sign on the river), just walk around the block as it is right behind it. If you come from Line 9, just take exit 2/3, go down that side street four blocks and make a left. it is on the right. Considering cabs are kinda cheap here, if you save enough on the room, it pays for using the cab at night and the subway really isn't that bad.

5minutes to the National Assembly station on Seoul Line 9 which connects directly to Gimpo airport which has connections to Incheon Intnl airport - only W3,500 compared to airport bus W15,000 which has drop off point at the nearby Lexington Hotel.
Being a commercial district, not much around here; except the popular Yeido park. good connections to other lines.
included breakfast is adequate but you have to be early 7am-9am.
room temperature was not adjustable and set at an uncomfortably warm 25C - had to open our window to let in the cold air to cool the room down.
Best was the in-room PC with free internet connection.
staff very helpful with good English.
lots of brochures in lobby on what to do around Seoul.

This is a standard hotel which you can stay if you are on business in Seoul. The surronding neighbourhood is not bad and is in one of the central business districts of Seoul.

Two subway lines are near by so you can get to any other area of Seoul quickly.

There is a Starbucks 1 min walk away and a burger place that was pretty good.

Trying to get Internet on my laptop from the cable in my room was impossible. Trying to surf the net on the slow computer it was originally attached to was agonizing. I ended up stealing from a wireless network somewhere in the neighbourhood, I think across the street.

Other than that, the stay was great. It's as spic and span as any hotel you're likely to find.

I'm surprised they don't have

I'm surprised they don't have a rate your \"room\" option on here. I'd say the room was very good and the facilities are good. During the winter, it was really nice to have a steamer in the shower, thus making it a \"steam room\". The tiles in the room were heated which was good and bad. This was the main source of heat for the room and I found myself to be very very hot at times, even though I turned the heat down to 15C degrees- I think that because the thermostat was so high it didn't really know how warm it was with the bed so near to the floor. (?) Opened the window and slept better. The breakfast was great. The room lovely, the location good but boring, and the front desk staff were very very helpful. I'd recommend it and thought the price was very competitive for such a nice room. Free internet and drinks in the room too and not far from the new brown line subway station \"National Assembly\" which opened in July 09. The bathroom had a whirlpool/hot tub bath. Nice:)

Our overall stay at Hotel Kobos

Our overall stay at Hotel Kobos was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful (quick with extra towels and lent us a bottle opener for the wine we brought with us). Clean and modern rooms, except the computer was useless - outdated and incredibly slow. We paid extra to have a suite, but I'm not sure what about it was extra as compared to a \"deluxe\" room - there was a king bed, TV, small counter, computer, couch and coffee table crammed in, and a nice bathroom (jet-tub and good shower). I would stay here again, but probably just stay in a deluxe room next time.

출장 숙박에 좋습니다.
시설이 조금 노후 되었습니다만 객실상태는 깨끗합니다.
다만 가격이 좀 올랐네요
