The A/C remote control was not working, so it was impossible to regulate the room temperature — it was either off or “North Pole” level cold. We arrived at 3:00 pm and the room had not been cleaned yet.

Apart from these issues, the hotel staff were kind and helpful, and the location of the property is good.

Smelly outhouse smelling rooms, cockroaches in rooms, leaky windows and doors, couldn’t cool down the rooms. Our linen was stained and when asked to replace the bedding, it was replaced with another set of stained sheets. This place is only worth 30 dollars a night at most. Staff is friendly, breakfast was great, and the pool view is spectacular.

A very interesting stay and one where if I wasn’t staying in the area for such a short space of time, I’d have moved hotels and not stayed here.

Don’t worry about FOMO of missing a beach party as the speakers blasting club music until 3am make it sound like the party is happening next door. I’m not sure why the hotel aren’t doing anything to soundproof or mitigate.

There were two separate occasions each night of attempted access to my room - one by a cleaner who for whatever reason, clearly had no idea my room was occupied and actually opened it up whilst I was napping. The second instance was a family who thought my room was theirs - they woke us up past midnight trying to access. Scary, and could be mitigated by the hotel clearly providing lighting outside rooms.

Pathways need some form of light. The aircon doesn’t reach the bed and instead probably goes to the outside - as there’s gaps between the doorframe and door.

The mattress and duvet are stained. Multiple little mites in the room too.

Not a great stay really.

Started out following the directions listed on the booking, this took us to a hill with no hotel. We googled to find it was the other side of the island village!
Wasn’t made aware we could have had luggage chaperone from the port either.

Checked in, host was pleasant showed us to our room which was overgrown with bushes in the ascending stairs.
The room was basically a garden shed, hot as hell even with the aircon and gaps big enough for the wildlife to fit through!

The bathroom was dingy, as the light was inoperative & the water come out of the tap a light brown colour.

Going to sleeping was another story, the bed resembled a formed slab of concrete with the pillow being as much use as a chocolate teapot! Then the real shock, we came back to the room around 2300hrs, the nightclub just down the road I thought had moved into the resort. The whole cabin shaking with every bass note & the words of each song clearly distinguishable, this went on until just after 0430!

We booked for 2 nights but checked out after the first night, we were actually trying to find somewhere else the first night but being so late was unable to find anything.

If you don’t mind being in a sweat box with dirty water and clubbing until everything shuts then this is the place for you. If not save yourself the headache and look elsewhere!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cobble Beach, the pool view alone is absolutely incredible and the bungalows are perfectly situated on the hill (be prepared for the walking up and down!). There are a couple of maintenance bits that are letting it down, e.g. 2 broken sunbeds, broken toilet seat and faulty flush, toilets next to the pool aren’t great. The walls are also pretty thin but this didn’t affect us at all and we weren’t disturbed by the noise from the town. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the town which we thought was ideal to not be disturbed. But the host is absolutely lovely and couldn’t have done more for us, and the breakfast was a bonus. Would be nice to have a bar there for the sunset but there’s a shop opposite offering a laundry service and plenty of bars on the walk into town so can’t complain! They also have the cutest corgi dog ever. Overall we had a fantastic stay in Phi Phi and would highly recommend, thanks so much!

The room looked nothing like advertised in the photos. My doors and windows had cracks everywhere allowing bugs to come in. My room was also beside a home and staff quarters where I could hear them all the time. I only stayed 1 of the 2 nights and opted to stay elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Pay the extra and stay in town at a nice place

We had a good time at Cobble. We were greeted with a smile and met some really nice fellow travelers.
Room was basic but all we needed.
Pool was clean with great views over the ocean. Great breakfast.
The stairs were an issue but kept us fit !
After reading some reviews we were hesitant to stay there but it was fine.......we are on an island......go with the flow, the people you meet can make all the difference. Thanks Cobble and fellow travelers.

Ya habíamos Chencho check out, el muchacho que nos ayudó con nuestras maletas sabía nuestra hora de salida del ferry, y mi sorpresa fue que nos alcanzó para darme unos aretes de oro que había olvidado, eso fue honestidad al 100 .. GRACIAS!!!!

Wasted potential…not worth the price

We took the « Family VIP suite 101 » . The view was amazing, but the confort of the room was poor. It was nothing like the pictures…bathroom was terrible, no hot water at all, floor deteriorating, the bed was not confy and very old…we were really disappointed.

Breakfast was ok, the infinity pool is very nice with an amazing view!!!

But really, no confort at all in the rooms. Pictures are not up to date to how it looks like today.

Its sad cause the location have so much potential, but everything is old, the place needs to be refresh…

In one sentence : amazing view, but ugly rooms with minimal confort.

Terrible all over the board, i might even call my credit card company for a full refund as the water was pure brown, i got so sick i had to go to the clinic, the bathroom did not work what so ever, the toilet would not flush, there was puke and human fieces all over the bathroom, they would not
provide toilet paper , i literally had to beg at the front dest for some while literally going to the bathroom in my pants while asking. The shower did not work at all, i could not shower , and to wash your hands there was no soap, only cold water 3 different times a day for 5 min intervals with brown muddy water, Total waste of cash

Beautiful views. Pictures on website hold true. Exterior of bungalow, layout, and walkway down very charming. Bathroom floor awkwardly slanted. View from private balcony made up for it, but the downtown music, oh my...is loud and goes past 2:00 am. Phi Phi desperately needs to continue clean up. Very youthful vibe, but glad we experienced the beaches, views, and food. Would recommend Phuket and day trip to Phi Phi if quiet and relaxing is your thing.

Most amazing hospitality!! I don’t remember the lady’s name .. but wow… she went above and beyond!! So sweet and nice!! The room was nice, the hotels ground are beautiful and the pool and the view were amazing!! There was a lot of walking and stairs involved with staying here, so if you aren’t a fit person this probably isn’t the best choice… otherwise it was a lovely stay!! Would definitely return!!

Couldn’t fault this hotel except for the short walk up hill but well worth it for the stunning view and infinity pool. Previous negative reviews baffle me. Would definitely stay again. Snazzy the owner was incredibly helpful. She organised a long tail boat to collect us from the small beach at the hotel and happy to deliver beers and ice as necessary. What more could you want!

The bungalow we booked was not as we expected. The beds are rock hard and still have plastic on them which is not comfortable at all. The rooms are really noicy so you can hear everything the neighbors say and at night we could not sleep from the music from the bars. The pool is nice and the breakfast really good though, but overall not worth the high price. They offer service to get your luggage to the pier but on weird times so without any use to make it to the boat we needed.

Loved my stay! A bit of a hike from town, but the views over the infinity pool were stunning. I watched the sunset from the pool every evening. Staff was very friendly and rooms were clean. They left several bottles of water in the room every day. Breakfast buffet was impressive, with fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, omlette/egg station, fried rice, noodles, breakfast meats. Would stay here again.

There is no one at reception post 8pm till next morning.
There is no phone for any kind of room service . The only option is to keep walking to reception from your room for anything that u may require.
The staff is too noisy early morning talking to each other loudly outside the room. Even after many requests, they did not bother to speak softly . Hence getting rest was pretty tough.

Nice but could be improved

Lovely hotel however dirty beach covered in litter and broken glass bottles. Would recommend the hotel cleans the beach and regrout the pool as tiles are falling off. Otherwise bungalows are cute and scenery it beautiful.

The hotel is located in an extremely dirty area with lots of shady hostels around. Once you walk into your room, you realise that you just played yourself. The smell of the moist sewage secretions that have been allowed to fester from the orifices of Phi Phi permeates from the bathroom. The scent is in everything from the bed sheets, to eventually your clothes.
I will be honest, the breakfast was good. And the staff were nice. But my skin was crawling being here.

If you stay here be prepared to walk 20 minutes from the pier and all of the fun activities with part of the walk being on a very dirty \"road\" uphill. It is in a terrible location, there isn't food nearby and they don't sell much food at all at the place. However, the pool and view are very beautiful and if you're looking to just stay at a pool the whole time you might like this place but the walk honestly makes it unappealing. The beds are very uncomfortable as well. But again, the view is stunning and we saw some cool animals nearby. It is a decent deal though!

We had a Great time in the wonderful village of Ton Sai. We also like the style of Cobble Beach. The two ladies at the breakfast site worked very honestly and hard and made that part as good as they could.
However, the cabins was quite warn and not really tight. There were ants in the bathroom and it was not clean at all.
The housekeeping service was also not reliable. Sometimes, they had not got a chance to be there at all and sometimes they forgot things. The bed was also very hard.
The WI-FI was also bad.
We didn't care much, but people should know that you will here very loud techno music very late even though it is quite far away. They play extremely load at the beach.

The location's view is stunning, the pool is nice, and delicious included breakfast. However, at night the walls shake with the rave music coming off of the beach. It was in our opinion a little overpriced for the super basic room we received, but there are worse places to stay on Phi Phi.

I thought people were exaggerating about the thin walls and the noise from the beach party. They weren’t. The beach party goes until 2am and it literally sounds like it is in your room and then it’s difficult to get to sleep until 3am because everyone is staggering back and slamming doors. The walls are so thin you can hear people vomiting, listening to tv, talking, snoring, etc etc
Besides this major issue that makes the stay quite uncomfortable, the pool, the breakfast, the room and the staff are all really good

Where to begin...

The hotel is about a 15min walk through town and up a steap hill with steap steps to reception and to the rooms and pool. The hotel was a lot bigger than it looks and has heaps of rooms, due to that the pool was always over crowded. The rooms were small with a bathroom that had a funky smell. The beds were rock hard!! The breakfast selection is good but get in early for a good seat! The views were amazing however not slot else was. The side of the island is the “party” side and plays loud pumping music from 5pm-2am every night, Bring earplugs if you would like to get to sleep. We stayed for 3 nights then we moved to the other side of the island, it was the best move and felt like the tropical oasis we were looking for. (Mama beach residence)
The beach at cobble beach is not swimable and very rocky. If back on phi phi again we would not stay.

I don’t know where to begin. Mosquitos will enter through the cracks and bite you while you sleep! The shower head is 1 foot away from the toilet and doesn’t even have a curtain. You will feel like you’re at summer camp with your 12 year old son sleeping in these tree houses. Only good thing is the pool.

Wow just wow the views from the infinity pool are just amazing, we stayed in the room right next to the pool which was basic but had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. I would highly recommend this place we didn’t want to leave the sunsets were out of this world. Yes you do have a bit of a walk to the Cobble Beach Hotel from the bars & restaurants but god gave you legs so use them. Ignore the bad reviews we thought this place was picturesque and we had some much fun here, definitely our favourite island on our travels. Enjoy your stay there we did :-)

My friends and I booked 2 rooms at Cobble Beach: one for 3 of us and the other for 2 of us. The one with 3 of us had BED BUGS. First, we only found one on my friend's backpack. But with further inspection, we found 2 MORE! We were disgusted and immediately left and asked for a refund, but since we booked through Expedia, they said there was nothing they could do. Seriously?!?! This was such a bummer, and not at all what we wanted to deal with on our holiday. If I were you, I'd stay far away from this place. It's definitely worth the extra cash to stay somewhere nice that doesn't have bed bugs.

This hotel looks great online, I paid upfront excited for my stay. Upon arrival I met the incredibly rude woman at reception. I had booked a room for 2 & had an extra person last minute, which she charged a ridiculously high amount for. I paid this because my booking was for 2 double beds. After this we went up to our room to see 2 single beds, in an awful disgusting room. After asking why she charged this huge amount when there wasn't room for 3 people, she was incredibly rude and disinterested, had a 'too bad' attitude and went on her lunch break. We had to wait around for the manager, who was even worse; after explaining the room was not what we booked, he pretended to call Expedia & said they were closed. I now know after speaking to them they are open 24/7. We stayed 1 night there and the noise from the beach parties was unbearable, it travels right up into the hotel. The rooms are awful with no insulation, the noise level was like sleeping in a nightclub. We could hear everyone next to & above us like they were in our room. Plus the aircon is right above the beds so blows right onto your face, it's unbearable to sleep in, but too hot to have it off.
After agreeing to refund the next 2 nights, they ignored both myself and Expedia's calls & emails. After Expedia hounding them they reluctantly refunded us weeks later. The staff here are so rude, I've traveled the world & never experienced any hotel this bad. Worst place I've ever stayed and they could not care less. 0/10

The lady at the front desk wasn't the friendliest. The room had no hot water. The walls in between the rooms are paper thin. You can literally hear the people whisper in the other room. It's really bad. the only really good thing this hotel had was amazing wifi. It was probably one of the fastest I used in all of Thailand.

I guarantee you will find bed bugs at this hotel

My company had to stop bringing out tour groups to this hotel because we had multiple instances of bed bugs at this hotel. The management at this hotel is reactive instead of proactive at managing the bed bug situation here. Not only have we had situations where over 10 of our travelers experienced bed bugs here, but I have also personally experienced the worst night in all my years of traveling at the cobble beach. The bed bugs were infested all through the mattress, the walls and floors. Management left after 9:30PM and we were stuck in that room with the infestation as it was pouring rain outside.

I understand that Koh Phi Phi has limited good hotels available but I highly urge you not to stay here for your own health's sake.

Don't waste your money

Got off at the pier and was greeted by a staff member that took our bags - this was just about the only good part. The place was meant to be nice and close but every time we would ask how much longer we were walking for he'd say about five minutes and we ended up walking about 20 minutes + away. Once we arrived the reception staff were snide and rude and didn't show us to our room. We walked down to the pool and there were tiles missing, slimy, no stairs and smelt like urine, the only good thing about the pool was the view. We went back to the room to have a shower and it was still dirty from the previous people who had stayed there. The bed was hard as a rock and the edges literally dug into you if you sat there. Even though it's up a cliff you can hear the beach parties as if you are there and the BEDS HAVE BED BUGS. My partner woke up covered in bites that have only gotten bigger as the days have passed. The little food they have on their menu (chicken nuggets and fries & a few Asian meals) wasn't even open for dinner and you were expected to trek the 15 minutes each way back into the beach to get food and book tours. Hostels are better looking, cheaper and located closer! Not even for the view, would I ever stay here again.

Absolutely amazing pool and views - stunning

The pool is incredible, however there were a few power cuts which meant our aircon and water and electricity went off for hours at a time - we were left without water (shower,taps, toilet!!) for an entire afternoon which was frustrating and were told different things by different staff members. Obviously this was out of their control as a power cut is a power cut but reserve water tanks for these occasions would save a lot of paying customers a lot of distress. Breakfast is good, pool is breathtaking!!!!

Amazing view and cute bungalows

The view from the pool is amazing and you can walk down to a small private beach for a dip in the ocean. It is also nearby the Phi Phi viewpoint which is a must see on your visit. The breakfast is good and it's close enough to town, but far enough where you can escape the madness a little bit. Would recommend!

Perfect for me

This place is amazing, the view from our room and from the pool deck was breathtaking. Hotel staff was nice ,they met us at the pier and guided us to the hotel, it's about a 10 minute walk. Room had a fridge, closet, good sized bed, and a wonderful little porch you could watch the sunset from. Breakfast was also really yummy with lots of variety. For all the people giving this place bad reviews because of \"ants\" or \"bugs\" or because of bad drainage etc, YOU'RE ON AN A TINY SELF SUSTAINED ISLAND SURROUNDED BY PLUSH JUNGLE, YES THERE'S CRITTERS AND YES THE DRAINAGE IS'NT STATE OF ART. .. also yes there's these super fun beach parties every night on the beach and you could hear the music from the room , it wasn't a problem for me since I went to Koh Phi Phi not only for its natural beauty but to also experience the world famous beach parties, the island is just beautiful, tons of adorable friendly kittens running around, and a lot of restaurants and convenient stores nearby the hotel. Over all these cool little bungalows were perfect for me and my fiancé ,but If you want super fancy and tons of amenities please look elsewhere. I'll definitely be back!

Would stay there again.

The guy at the front desk was amazing. Awesome breakfast. Nothing beats the view. Cozy little hideaway. You do have to climb a hill then a steep hill to the hotel They have someone to take your bags up and down for you thank god. It's a workout. Beach is close 10 min walk. Quieter area away from the main strip. You could still hear the music in the room lightly.

Have upgraded from double room to bungalow because was to lought and wanted more privacy, Had amazing holidays unreal views from windows next to pool, not far from central area. Very friendly helpful staff

Stayed 2 nights here, was very nice, views of the surrounding coast were excellent. Pool area was lovely and seemed to be an attraction for guests to delve into there inner photographer and modelling. Staff were very friendly and helpful would recommend a stay here aslong as you are not physically impaired as area involves lots of steep hills and steps

not worth the money

Hotel staff was attentive and free breakfast was good but the rooms are poorly ventilated leaving a lingering smell of dirty bathroom all the time. They powerwashed the stones throughout the place during my entire stay which made sitting by the pool miserable. Meanwhile local beaches are not worth the visit.

OK hotel with some negative experiences

The hotel has a good location and a nice pool with a beautiful view. However, the wooden walls of individual rooms are extremely thin and we could hear all the noise from the party beach. What is more, we got repeatedly bit by betbugs in our room.

Cozy stay with views but beware

A large group of us stayed here. We really loved this hostel. However, it's location is very far from the pier which is seems nice and quiet but you can hear the clubs music very loudly until 3am is every single night. It was so loud that some of us left. However, for the price, we enjoyed ourselves. The staff is very friendly. Some rooms are much nicer than others although the cost is the same. Older rooms have ants if you leave food out for any time and most rooms didn't have working hot water. Pool is amazing. Breakfast was very nice!!! Foodies - stay away from \"The Rock\" (most of us got very sick eating there).

Do not stay here!!!

We knew Phi Phi was a party island, so tried to find a hotel that was within budget & fairly quiet. After checking some reviews for cobble beach it seemed like it was a good choice as many had said it was on the quieter side of the island.
This could not be further from the truth!
The room was okay but the walls are paper thin, so you can hear absolutely everything from each of your neighbours. This hotel is based on the noisiest side of the island, you will be subjected to awful Eurotrash EDM music until 2am every single night.
Ear plugs will not save you.. believe me I tried.
Couple this with having to listen to drunken guests coming home afterwards & having noisy sex, it was unbearable to say the least!!!!
The saving grace is the buffet breakfast is nice & the view from the pool is lovely but on the whole the place needs updating & the receptionist was particularly rude when we complained about the noise.
If you have to stay in Phi Phi, then find a hotel on the other side near the pier as there are no beach bars on that side.

Beautiful infinity pool, basic lodging otherwise

The picture of the infinity pool sealed the deal for me to book this hotel, but that was really the only benefit to staying here. It is located out of the center of town (which I thought would be better to avoid the crazy night life) but even at this hotel, you can hear the thumping music until the wee hours of the morning. Front desk service is passable, but by no means friendly. My shower was broken when I first arrived and luckily they had someone on hand to fix it (although I arrived in the afternoon; not sure I would have been so lucky if I had arrived late at night). You can walk down to the waterfront below the hotel, but it is rocky and not suitable for swimming. Overall, the hotel could benefit from general maintenance.

Beautiful view from the pool. Rooms exactly as shown in pictures. Not the most glamorous, but it is just like a typical cabin. Can hear the noise from the beach, but nothing more than falling asleep with the TV on. We had a wonderful stay.

On arriving at the island of Phi Phi we were greeted with the stench of an animal that had obviously died. We had to stand and wait, with this smell, until any other passengers from the ferry were also staying at The Cobble Beach. Some 20 minutes later we were walked through the narrow streets of the island, packed to the gills with fellow tourists. Packed is an understatement - frankly the Island has been ruined. After what seemed an eternity, past mountains of litter, stray cats and an abudence of foul smelling stagnant water and sorry but, sewage, we arrived at our Cabin for a 3 night stay. Check in was fine, the people across Thailand are simply amazing. Having checked in we found our cabin which was tinier than the photos suggest. Clean and tidy BUT noisy, very noisy. You can hear EVERYTHIHG going on and as we had a cabin either side and above it was never going to work. After just one hour we checked out, got the ferry back to the mainland and put the whole thing down to experience. Sorry to be so negative but Phi Phi and The Cobble Beach cabins weren't for us. We as human beings have a lot to answer for - we are slowly burying Phuket and her beautiful islands under a sea of litter and mess. Also the infrastructure simply cannot cope with the ever increasing volume of visitors Bad enough, but because the Thai's so desperately need our money a blind eye is turned. Sad, very, very sad.

All you need but the noise

The hotel is basic , it will provide what you need for a few days. The pool area has a great view but no drinks or towels available. The breakfast was good with fruit, bread, cereal, etc. You have to be ready to go up and down stairs but I guess that is normal in the island. The downside for me was the noise level, I stayed at the building where you can listen to everything from the other rooms and since it is in the bay you will listen the music from the beach party until 2:30 am so better to go out.

Beautiful views

It's quite a trek getting up to the hotel but once you're up there the view is so beautiful. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room is basic but all we needed for one night. The only thing I would recommend is mosquito nets over the beds. There are gaps in the doors so they can get in so I think nets are needed. I got bitten lots the night I stayed. Breakfast was good with a beautiful view by the lovely pool.

Very pretty hotel with fantastic view of the bay

Staff were very helpful and friendly helping with advice about things to try and places to get laundry done etc. when i injured my feet they wheeled me to a clinic and arranged to deliver my bag to the pier for my ferry later that day.

Peaceful room minutes away from the action!

Just enjoyed a 3 night stay at cobble beach. The rooms closest to the pool/sea are absolutely amazing! Woke up every morning to beautiful views and watched the sunset on the pool deck. The breakfast was a great bonus and staff was super friendly. Just a few minute walk away to all the bars and fire shows on the beach. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Photos make it seem better than it is.

Gaps in between the doors and windows made my body a lovely snack for some mosquitoes. Plus no net and a leaking AC made for a really poor hotel experience. Luckily was only there for two nights, but was unhappy coming back to the room. Also, the walls are so thin that a man coughed next door and we had to look and see if he was in our room.

Beautiful location for relaxing

The Cobble Beach was a great little place to stay on Phi Phi as the island is full of clubs and is loud at night. Close to the beautiful view point, meaning it's a good hike to the hotel from the pier. Lovely pool to relax by. Staff are super helpful and kind. Bring earplugs for sleeping as the club music begins early and can be heard all over the island. Wifi was spotty. Overall a nice place to stay away from the wild main streets

Ok if your not expecting great things

The hotels location is fine! Everyone moans about the steps! They were ok! Our floor in our room was dirty! When it rained we came back to find our floor flooded. We told them about t and they just mopped it up! We had to ask for extra towels and they were not replaced when it was obvious they were left dirty from the flood. Marks on bed sheets. The pool was nice! The fridge was good with a mini freezer. The kitty guesthouse down from
Cobble beach is worth a look. They were great helping us with our holiday booking and extremely friendly! Basically there are worse places to stay on phi phi. We are moaning but it was ok staying there!
