Room was not clean, lots of buildup in the bathroom like it has never been clean before. For $200 dollars a night I expect more, we also got 2 twin beds one was some what comfortable whereas the other bed was terrible, very hard and you could feel the springs. The only positive was the pool and the location.

Great location amazing pool view

The hotel has a perfect location in phi phi island, just walking distance from the pier, amazing view from the pools, good breakfast, friendly staff members, beachfront, the rooms are not bad but it needs modernisation, avoid rooms next to street if you are an early bird, as the music is too high until 3am, in general was ok for us... good value by the way.

Great hotel right by the beach and close to bars

We had a lovely stay at Charlie PP Beach Resort. The view and location is what makes it an incredible hotel on Kho Phi Phi Don and what would make us come back. We also had an amazing service all around but more specifically with the luggage carriers and the reception staff. The breakfast buffet was very good and right by the beach. There are two pools and one of them has a beach club attached to it with no minimal spend (contrary to what we read in certain reviews). A real gem! The room itself was dated but clean and comfortable. Walls could use a fresh coat of paint and some of the furniture could be replace or repaired, but the overall room was quite nice with a beautiful garden view. The only negative aspect about our stay was that we booked the Superior room (away from bar noise) due to advices from these reviews, but our room was actually located in the first building right next to the bar alley. Some nights we would hear base from our room and other nights we could almost hear the music’ lyrics. We sleep with earplugs and with those you can’t hear anything, so it didn’t affect our sleep quality but I think it’s worth noting.

The service and staff are incredible, making sure that your bags are carried and meeting you when you step off the boat. The property is beautiful! The day beds at the pool you have to spend a minimum of 1000bhat to use which I guess is easier if it’s more than one person and you each get two cocktails but for one person doesn’t work, and the other chairs were covered in ants. The room was bad. Just bad. The “queen bed” was just two single box springs pushed together and covered with a fitted sheet. The toilet didn’t flush well and the shower curtain didn’t really work so the bathroom was wet by the end of the shower. It also just felt very sketchy entering from behind the kitchen and the building I was in was not very well taken care of. The pool is beautiful, the staff are lovely, and the food is good though.

We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms and got what we paid for I guess. Old, worn down, and smelled musty/damp. Rooms were clean and room service was good. Location was right on the beach and in the middle of downtown so convenient. Pool was good and the main reason we stayed here.

The hotel is very clean and comfy. However, if you want to use the chairs in front of the beach, they will charged an additional fee. There was no elevator on the second floor where we stayed in. Other than that the we staying was fun! Also you can take late walks on the beach is super safe!

I reserved the cheapest room i think,i didn't care that it didn't have no amenities or view to the sea or nothing bt i do care about the cleanest.and my room was super dirty. Shower curtains need to be changed. Also most of chairs except 3 around pool are vip and you need to spend 5000.00 their money in the bar. Even beach chairs cost you money.

Bedbugs, had to switch rooms twice and guess what the last one had them two, got bitten. This is due to lack of hygiene on the hotels part, they should change mattresses at this point, the whole hotel is infested. They should call pest control. Attached is a photo of one of them, I got rid of about 4 of them

Staff was awesome, location was great, free breakfast was nice but WOW was it SO LOUD at night due to the clubs and bars next door. This was not a typical relaxing beach stay and we had to wear ear plugs to sleep every night. Our room was right across from banana bar which is an outdoor rooftop bar which blasts music until 2 am and there was no type out sound barer at all. Other that that, out stay was nice but be prepared for noise.

They stole and then blamed us

At first, we loved it here. The hotel room was about an 8 minute walk from the pier. If you have a lot of luggage, there’s a guy just past the pier to help you out. There is also complimentary breakfast every morning! Pool was very nice and the beach was less than a two minute walk. The area of the hotel was clutch because it’s really close to all the bars too; so keep in mind, it can be noisy from all the party goers. BAD: they have bed bugs. Every morning my friend and I would wake up with at least 2 new bites.. And for the WORST part of our stay, we decided to get our room serviced. Before leaving, my friend and I locked up our suitcases and left two blankets that we brought from home and my neck pillow out. I remember seeing the neck pillow on my bed before leaving so the house keeper can clean the room. When we came back, I noticed it gone. We went to the front desk and the lady said she’ll contact the keeper the next morning since she already left. The next morning when we checked out, I asked about the pillow and the receptionist kept saying “you FORGOT a pillow in the room.” We were confused and told her we didn’t forget a pillow, we had a pillow STOLEN from us. She started to raise her voice telling us to go check the room and there will be someone waiting for us. So when we came back to the room, it was magically there again… Super shady. So if you want to stay here, just don’t get house keeping unless you want your stuff stolen

Close to beach

Good location with a great pool by the beach, even though the pool trading hours are only 9-7, disappointing if you wanted to go for a morning swim or even a swim after dinner. My room looked completely different from the photos online, especially the bathroom where the mirror was stained and a lot of mould over the room. The air conditioner sounded like a hurricane was hitting the room and let alone there were mosquitos in the room. Great location and was a shame that the room turned me off staying here again.

We were impressed by this hotel. It is a great value for what you pay. Great Location!!!! Right on the center of beach in the phi phi. Access to Princess pool which is an infinity pool that overlooks the ocean. Breakfast was included. Again amazing value for what we paid.

What you see is what you get

Nice room, close to beach, shopping and restaurants and far enough away from the night clubs. The room is 3 stars at best but the view we had looking out to the pool and the view of the bay was 5 stars and worth having not quite the room we expected. It was still comfortable and clean, although the shower screens could have been cleaned better.

Breakfast is good and worth the money. Good variety. Room service is very cheap but no phones in the rooms. So we never ordered. Prices at the swim up bars are slightly more expensive but still very affordable and staff are friendly.

We would definitely stay here again.

I just wish they would update the pool view rooms. That’s all it needs.

The rooms were run down, very low water pressure to the point where we couldn’t brush our teeth except in the shower. Housekeeping only came if you left a sign outside, and even then they didn’t replenish tea or coffee, or empty the bin in the bathroom once during our 4 day stay. We told them on check in that we were leaving one day earlier than originally booked and were told very rudely that there would be no refund on the last day and we still had to pay the full amount. Service in the Charlie House Restaurant was awful. Great location but I would stay in smaller hotel rather than one that clearly doesn’t care about their customers

Great beachfront hotel with amazing views.

Overall I would recommend this resort/hotel to anyone. It is a little bit of a distance from the pier so older visitors may want to arrange bag pick up when getting of the ferry. There is plenty of things to do in the area. The island is crowded and there are parties every single night. I would not recommend this area for those that want to spend their vacation relaxing every day.

Keep in mind Ko Phi Phi is a tiny tiny island. Better than any hostel for slightly more. Amazing free breakfast and clean large infinity pool right on the beach. Rooms aren’t the highlight, but you probably won’t be spending much time in there anyway.

The worst place I’ve ever stayed

Literally the worst, most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. The room was nothing at all like the pictures show. The shower was so gross that we had to keep our slippers on and use a towel to touch the mold covered shower knob. If we had seen the room when we tried to check in (but it wasn’t ready early) we would not have stayed there but ended up coming back too late to leave. We stayed in many places in Thailand and there were zero that were of this level of filth and terrible hygiene. We ate the breakfast buffet and I had food poisoning for a day and a half afterwards. The beds were rock hard and had been sprayed so strongly for bed bugs that they smell like pesticides. There are so many better places for the same price in Phi Phi and much nicer hostels for less than half the price! The WiFi didn’t work in the room and the key we had would not lock the door from the outside. Would never ever consider staying here again, even if I hadn’t gotten the food poisoning. Phi Phi is amazing though.

It was within walking distance of the pier and they come get you and show you where to go. It's a perfect location right by the beach and near the shops. We went at off season,so I'll bet it's pretty loud until late, but if you party you can stumble right home. And the pools are so nice, both with ocean views.

It was the worst hotel experience i've ever had, no put really, the staff insisted for us to tip them, very rude and unprofessional..Staff mixed up keys and lost ours, we had to pay by POLICE force! This hotel is corrupted and owned by crocks, it really felt like if we didn't pay, we would get in a lot of trouble, family of five..

The rooms at PP Charlie are garbage.

We went into our room that ended up being twin bed next to a street so it was loud at all hours. They offered no soap in the bathroom. So obviously personal hygiene isn't important to them. We asked to move room to be offered an upgraded room for the more a night than we got the two nights we stayed. Ruined our phi phi experience.

The 2 pools were amazing, the beach was a stone throw from both beaches, and the included breakfast was also awesome! The room on the other hand was tiny, and very drab. Worst shower I've had yet. The noise from the bar downstairs is only bearable with ear plugs. Oh well, it was worth it for the pool.

My husband and I stayed at 4 different hotels during our 2 week vacation in Thailand. We were most excited about this one since we highly anticipated Phi Phi island, however, this resort was the biggest disappointment. I' am not a neat freak but I, at minimum, expect the bathroom to be decent since that is where you go to get clean. The bathroom was GROSS. I mean stains on the shower curtain, stains on the wall, and weird fungus looking bubbles all over the sink knobs. The toilet and shower are also on the same level meaning you are standing on mixed germs from both toilet and shower.. what architect thought that was a good idea?! Anyways, we go directly to the front desk to address the issue with the supervisor and her response is to pay 3000 baht additional for a better room -_-. Honestly, her customer service throughout our entire stay was horrible. Whenever we approached the front desk it took her minutes to actually acknowledge us. She would just continue what she was doing as if we weren't there. Fortunately, their night manager knows a thing or two about customer service. When we went back a few hours later he totally sympathized with our situation and offered us the same TYPE of room, just cleaner-- aka what the supervisor should have done in the first place. The complimentary breakfast and the pool was probably the best quality about this resort. I actually read the reviews but was too hardheaded to take it to heart bc I was in love with the pool pics.. Never again.

I booked a standard room, only because it was recommended to me. Did not bother to look into, I just booked (biggest mistake) The hotel lobby looked nice and clean. But once I walked into the room, it was a whole different look. It was like walking into a motel. Definitely did not have the clean fresh feel.
The bed looked decent but was very hard and uncomfortable. The restroom was by far the worst. Everywhere you looked you'd see mold.
Long story short, this place is not properly maintained. I can not recommend this place to anyone and do not plan on booking here again.

It's more of a hostel than a hotel so be prepared for this. The pool and breakfast buffet was a 5 minute walk from my room. The room itself was in a good location, close to bars and the main street etc. Although this did make it very noisy. The hotel was under serious construction, which was inconvenient and annoying, but understandable considering. However, they should post photos to prepare people.
The hotel is popular with groups of young travelers so be prepared for noise.

after reading all the reviews on here I ingored them thinking they must be bitter or had a bad experiance, how wrong was I. The staff are the rudest people I have come across in Thailand, the girls at check in were on facebook giggeling and when I said hello they did not even look up until the 3rd time I said it and just simply said what?, our room was an hour late, and nothing like the pictures. The aircon was so loud it made it hard to sleep, and the bed sheets were stained. I also advise take pictures of the room as soon as you enter as they tried to charge us for stains that were there and threatened to call the police if we did not pay $300 for paint and sheets, which is crazy.

Upon checkin they told us to wait 30 minutes. Came back in 45 minutes and they had an attitude and asked us if we had waited 30 minutes. Then we are led to a building away from the hotel, down a dirt alley. There was construction outside at 10am. Banging hammers etc. Music plays until around 3am. That's your window to sleep. The safe also wasn't bolted down. AVOID.

No wifi is just the start

Do not stay at this hotel especially if you book through a discount hotel site. They will put you into a different hotel almost a mile away and say it's the same. Hotels.com can't help you because of \"hotel policy\" and there is dangerous construction everywhere in the hotel. Once we paid to upgrade things got a lot better. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere, there's a lot of good hotels in Phi Phi. This isn't one of them

Charlie Party Hotel

If you like to party even while you're sleeping this is the perfect place. You actually pay to party all night based on their rates too. Quite expensive for a tiny room right above the main speaker on the island. Breakfast is included however you need to hike for 10 minutes to get to the restaurant and pool. I'm all for being in the heart of the action but this is a little much, great location for a hostel. Last but not least \"wifi\" not guaranteed in room was the front desks favourite saying.

Not recommended if you're 21+

This hotel is good if you're 18-20 years old. The main bar is right next to the hotel, people were screaming and singing out loud till 5:00 in the morning, there is a construction site right next to the main part of the hotel. We couldn't sleep at all and it kind of ruined our experience in the island. We're only 28 years old but this hotel made us feel like we need to retire

So Disappointed

Got to the hotel and the check in took forever and the lady on reception was rude. Got to our room and was very disappointed - this was our most expensive hotel of our time and it really was the worse! The room was so dated and the AC dod not work! The didisappointment continued when we went to the pool.. this hotel doesnt have a pool just access to the neighbouring sister hotels pool.. which was tiny and had about 12 sunbeds! The only plus was the location.

Complete dump

It should be illegal to post pictures to their website like they have. The hotel is a complete molding dump. Everything in the room was rundown, rusting and molding. There are no phones no conditioner in the shower. It was basically a hostel. Nothing like it shows on website. Impossible to sleep as well as people yell until about 4 in the morning. All these things should be mentioned on the website. It was a horrible experience and I would tell anyone who sees the pictures to not be fooled and not stay here ever.

Nice hotel next to all the bars

We were initially concerned when we had to walk past a building site next to the hotel however never heard any noise from the site.
The rooms were nice,clean and quite spacious, we had no complaints at all regarding the rooms.
The pool was away from the hotel and shared with another hotel, the pool was quiet on a morning but was more like a pool party late afternoon.
Unfortunately when we arrived back at the hotel about 11:30pm we realised that the hotel is located in the liveliest part of town and therefore extremely noisy all night long. The bars seemed to close around 3am however the hotel was noisy until almost 6am. Breakfast was included however none of the food was covered so was full of flies which put us off. overall we were very happy with the rooms however wouldn't stay there again unless we were there to party all night.

Really bad experience I was put right at the back of the hotel which the room backed on to various pubs - I happened to be very sick and getting no sleep due to the noise only made it worse. If your staying on phi phi it would be better to stay further out. This place also has construction going on the doesn't look like it will be finishing anytime soon.

Negative: Hotel in bad condition (maybe because it was completely destroyed by the tsunami 10 years ago). Lots of building around.

Breakfast by the beach... amazing!!!

My bestfriend and I stayed in this hotel for 2 days and we loved it! Staffs are nice and breakfast by the beach is superb! Weill definite go back in this hotel!

don't let the construction put you off

There is a lot of construction going on but we stayed for one night and it didn't bother us at all. The pool is lovely and it is in an ideal location. I would certainly stay there again

Not good.

We booked an economy room for one night. Was more like a 1 star if that. Rooms either side of us were being renovated. Construction works happening right outside our door. Followed a man and his friends with holsters in to the building so checked out within 30 mins.

Excellent location!

PP Charles is so close to pier and to the main party beach - couldn't have picked a better spot. Breakfast was a huge buffet very good and our rooms were nice. Only complaint is that there was a lot of construction happening at the resort and our room was a long walk from the reception.
