Our stay at PP Princess Resort was a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the pool area is absolutely beautiful—definitely the highlight of the property. The staff were consistently kind and welcoming, and the food was genuinely very good.

Unfortunately, the room itself was quite disappointing. It didn’t feel properly cleaned, which made it hard to fully relax and enjoy the stay. On top of that, the bed was extremely uncomfortable—more like sleeping on a piece of cardboard than something you’d expect from a resort.

It’s a shame, because with such a great location, lovely staff, and strong food offering, this place has a lot of potential. But the condition and comfort of the rooms really need improvement to match the rest of the experience.

Overall 3.5 stars. Ive been to 3 different hotels while in Thailand and have to say this was number 3 out of all 3.

Rooms are slightly outdated, hard bed and cant shower without putting aircon on for 15 mins.

Staff are ok, every other hotel gies above and beyond.

3.5 star is fair.

Really enjoyed staging here. The villas are spacious and having a more private pool outside the door while still facing the beach and ocean was very special. Our villa felt like it needed a little bit of TLC. Hard water buildup made the bathroom fixtures look dirty. The sheets were clean but felt like sand was in them. Likely from being laundered with beach towels. Overall it was not a dirty place, just needs some extra maintenance more often. Breakfast was lovely, great variety of western and Thai options and seating both inside the restaurant and out on the beach. Felt special. Pool and bar hours are a little odd. Also, the tiers and their associated amenity accesses were a bit confusing. Staff was nice, but didn’t always follow through. I’d asked for water bottle replenishment as it hadn’t been replenished and they didn’t follow through with sending more.

We stayed in B306. Room was up to date and very comfortable. Air conditioning was a little hard to figure out but worked great. The bathroom had a urinal and a toilet which was a little strange.

The pool area is really great. And there are two different bars, each offering happy hours at different times so that works out perfectly.

Perfect location, right in the heart of the village and close to bars, restaurants, and also has direct beach access.

The cleanliness of the room is really not great. I had to clean the surfaces of the bedside table myself and the bathroom needs a really good deep clean. Don’t like that you can’t have your own food and drink by the pool, we’ve paid to use this service, we should be able to use it as we please. Not worth the money we paid at all but I suppose you’re paying for the location as it is in the middle of everything and right by the beach. Also were told someone would be there to greet us to take our luggage to the hotel when we arrived at the port and they were nowhere to be seen, we were also told someone would help us with our luggage back to the port on check out but they also couldn’t do this for us. Breakfast was ok, nothing special.

Pros:
Great location - near town, on the beach
Nice pool on the beach
Good restaurant on the beach (Princess Restaurant)
Friendly staff
Cute kitties everywhere

Cons:
Although we appreciate it’s eco-friendly, you should know: There is no electricity without your (only) key in the interior slot, and their water is from a/c runoff. This means a) no A/C running while you’re gone, b) towels are always wet, c) warm water lasts 4-7 minutes, and d) your devices won’t charge when you’re out of the room.
Room is smelly from mildew.
Mattresses are hard as a rock.
Overpriced given all the above. We paid $150/night, which is admittedly a “bargain” for Phi Phi in November, but come on.

Breakfast was great. Room was great, but was not cleaned spotlessly like I've come to expect. Glass windows were dirty, glass mirrors were streaky, furniture in the room was noticeably stained. Hard water stains on the sink and in the shower, on the soap bottles, etc. Leaves and debri floating in the plunge pool. They need to spend another 20 minutes on the room before turning it over to the guests, and invest in a steam cleaner to get stains out of furniture. Beds were hard but manageable. Bar noise was audible but not really that big of a deal.

Beautiful pool and view but meh hotel

Not the best hotel I’ve stayed in and pretty expensive for Thailand but I understand that islands are always a bit more! They don’t warn you but they ask for a 1000 baht deposit in cash, so make sure you bring extra. The pool is lovely but the food and drinks are expensive and the staff are very apathetic. Once they cleaned our room but didn’t replace the bin liner or the toilet paper so I had to go down and get some more! We stayed in the deluxe room which was very nice but I have heard the cheaper rooms are much worse so that is worth considering. Also despite being in the hotel you need to pay extra to use the gym which is ludicrous, and some sunbeds have a minimum 1000 baht spend which is also a little ridiculous - adding tiers to a hotel I’ve already paid to stay in. However overall I felt safe and the location is excellent so worked well for what we needed.

Property is ok, no issues with it. Service staff is nice. Once you arrive in Phi Phi Don you will realize it is not exactly the island for glamorous hotels and resorts. This one is conveniently located in the middle of the restaurants, bars, and local spots so we definitely enjoyed the location, and yet far enough from the late noise for a good night sleep. The beds as others mentioned are indeed hard. First night was an adjustment and for some reason we were ok the next two nights. But this could be an Issue for some. Breakfast was ok with enough options. Given my experience in the island if I were to return this hotel would probably be top choice given the location and comparison of others.

Sadly the hotel rooms are not in the best conditions. The bathrooms have a bad smell and they just look dirty.

The breakfast included was also very poor and the fried eggs were not even kept in a hot platter so they were cold and rubbery.

The pool closes at 7 pm which is very early in a hotel were nothing happens. At least it should be open until 9 pm.

Shame about the place

We stayed at the PP Princess for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon trip to PhiPhi before moving around the island. Firstly, the greeting on arrival was very minimal, got given a packaged wet wipe and carton of water (which is fair enough), then we got shown to our room which was spacious and cool. However THE BED 😶, I’ve seen people mention the beds on many reviews, and wow it’s like sleeping on bricks!!! The room wasn’t the most clean either, smear marks on glass and mirror in bathroom and outdoor balcony furniture with stains all over. This wasn’t a massive deal as we were out of the room most of the time, however for the money you pay (compared to most on PhiPhi) this could have been better. When checking out, the reception staff didn’t once ask how our stay was, which being honest I would have said all of this too them, a bit of a shame. We were meant to originally stay at PP Princess for 4 nights, but we cut this short and headed to SAII Village for the other 2 instead, which is fab btw!

The hotel area and pool were great but the doors in the rooms didn’t have great seals so mosquitos could sneak in and the bathroom was very dated. Overall - We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel.

The property is stunning with very nice rooms/bathrooms, a well set out pool and relax area and also the option to dine/drink on the beach.

We did however, come across some small issues. The first was a miscommunication from the baggage handlers who didn't inform me that they would take my baggage in a trolley, go back to the pier and wait for more guests to fill up the trolley before bringing it to our room. This doesn't sound like much but for a few minutes we felt like we had been robbed, only taking me to run to the pier to figure out what was happening. I relayed my issue with the manager who apologised and said she would talk to her colleagues to be more clear about the process.

In addition to this, our safe did not work and had to be fixed and our shower was dripping which was difficult to stop.

These errors are minor and easily remedied so it doesn't impact our score and feeling for the hotel. It was a nice stay and our issues were taken care of by the friendly staff.

This is a 3* hotel at best. Rooms are not properly cleaned, I stayed in two different ones - the second even smelt of fish. Staff are unhelpful, don’t speak good English. No clear manager to complain to. Pool bar staff running a scam over charging, trying to charge different members of my group for same items. Asking for 1000bht up front to use the pool bed but not putting it towards our spend. Reception desk not interested in the complaint. I asked to move from the villa that you had to wade through a jungle to get to to an upstairs room, reception showed me the room, I paid for it for an extra night, then when I went to move in, they said it was gone she put me in a downstairs room with view of a construction site. Noise from neighbouring beach club can be heard til 3AM ish.

Beach bars the best

Hotel is very big, needs a little tlc but room was comfortable very private, the pool was ok but restricted seating. The beach was not good for snorkelling, the bars on the beach were incredible.

Good location just nearby restaurants. However, bed was hard, ac only turns on when you put the key in place and we had cockroaches in our room which is somewhat expected for a room that is in an outdoor setting.
