The place was not as upscale and updated as we expected from the photos. It could use a refresh of its rooms and decor but it was fine in terms of lodging. The staff though were very welcoming and helpful at the front desk and at the restaurant. Five stars for them.

We were disappointed that there wasn’t much water access to the ocean as it was low tide during the day. This might be a seasonal issue so you might want to consider that. It was the beginning of April when we stayed.

And just so you know it may look like a beach front but nope I’ll be disappointed you have to go to other place to experience beach. All in all we will never recommend this hotel!!!!

Check in staff was good, and the AC worked but that was about all that was good. The bathroom and general room was not exactly clean. The room had lots of mosquitos flying around, we killed about 6-7 of them. The bed sheets felt dirty and had large stains on them. The food was not terrible but not great. The resort looked a lot nicer in the pictures than it was in person, could definitely use some rennos or general up keep.

The downside was the fitness area was poor. Treadmill was outdated and not working properly.

Another downside was the barstools at both areas were broken and old.

One pool does not have any lounge chairs only regular ones, the other pool has only few, too many people at the resort. Otherwise nice pit stop on the way through Palawan.

The views are so stunning that we couldn't stop taking pictures. We were in the suite closest to the beach and it has its own Jacuzzi. The hotel also has a pool and a fine restaurant. There is so much to do in El Nido, but we could have spent all our time at the resort.

This is a wonderful property located on the water. The staff is amazing. Food was amazing. The only problem I had was the refrigerator. Wasn’t able to refrigerate our drinks cold or if you have insulin or medicine that requires to be cold these refrigerators won’t do it. I would expect better for the price you pay for the room.

on the first night, i was extremely disappointed in Costa Palawan. I had booked before in 2023 and had a great stay so decided to book again when I returned to Puerto Princesa. Upon arrival in 2023, they had my name and my friend’s on a TV welcoming us and gave
us complimentary welcome drinks which were just some of the things i loved about my previous stay as it made us feel very special! this second time around, I booked a queen room for my partner and I. When we got to our room, we found ants. I called the front desk to let them know and request a room change but am told that housekeeping would be sent to check the situation. We wait for about 30 minutes in our room and this is after over 8 hours of travelling so we’re spent, hungry, and frustrated at this point. We head down to the lobby to let them know that we are leaving to get dinner and would like a room change when we get back to which they agree. however, we find out that they sent housekeeping to the wrong room which meant we were waiting in vain the past 30 mins. When we come back from dinner, we get our room changed to one with two smaller beds. we didnt mind sleeping in separate beds as long as the room was clean so we agreed to this change. when we get to our new room, we find ants once again. i let them know, again, that there are ants in our room and the staff at the front desk tells me that they were shocked this is happening because they don’t usually ever have an ant problem. he offered to send housekeep

We only stayed for 1 night at this hotel but it was well worth staying here. The staff were very friendly and helpful with transportation accommodations. The buffet was good, and they told us for good dining options to go to the Baywalk which was amazing to see around sunset, it was a little hidden gem. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the area.

The rooms are clean and spacious. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pools(2) are large, however there aren’t enough loungers to accommodate all the pool guests. The grounds are lovely and well kept, however there is no sandy beach as implied by the advertisement. The swamp like ocean borders the front of the property, there is no hope of swimming there. Breakfast is very limited in both food and dishes/utensils. Every morning I was searching for coffee cups, glasses and utensils while 4-6 staff stood in the kitchen area talking. Often the one and only fruit option was empty. I would have to request for fruit to be replenished . The drinking water dispensers on my floor were often empty. The property is isolated, there is not much to do in the area.

Wonderful buildings and facilities and furnishings. They have a seawall to keep the ocean out so at high tide there is no beach. It is not a one stop destination, at least for me. Staff is more than helpful! Was surprised that there was a charge for a bucket of ice. It served my purpose, close to airport for an early departure.

Stayed there with family for 3 nights. Staff werr accomodating & friendly. However, there were some things that could be improved.
Toothbrush provided was very hard. Feels more like brush for cleaning the toilet rather than for teeth. If you're staying here, my advice is to bring your own toothbrush. There were stains on the walls, most likely from previous room users. The place could do a renovation.

The hotel offer airport shuttle which is great. Front desk are courteous and helpful to inquiries. The room bathroom and toiletries needs better offering. Towels given daily were not consistent. One key card given and extra card will cost you 500 pesos deposit. I agree with others that the restaurant food and tasting lacks flavor. We were there for a whole week and breakfast buffet is almost same and not very tasty. Also I honestly don’t know why most staff in the restaurant loves to chat and flirt/tease each other around hotel guest to hear rather than focusing on their job or keeping it professional. We decided to eat out after breakfast. The hotel resort overall was great and very clean, we lived the beach views and to walk around after breakfast. Another thing that employees needs training is to consistently greet the hotel guess whenever we walk by them, There were some who says hi and then some awkwardly stare at you or walk pass you without saying anything, again we were there for an entire week. In Manila we stayed for 5 days, every employee there stood and greet the guests whenever we walk by them. The new lifeguard was great btw. He’s been there for a month and used to work for Red Cross I think. He’s very knowledgeable and even assisted us during low tide when my young son wanted some shells. He made our hotel experience better! The beach area and pool is great for kids to enjoy, Massage hut by the beach needs better cleaning but the massage itself was great.

Reception Staff need Customer Service Training

Bad start to stay when power would not turn on in room with entry card. Reception staff refused to believe it was faulty instead insisting we were not inserting card correctly. Eventually maintenance person sent who needed to rewire the power. Would have been nice if reception had taken our concerns seriously when first mentioned. Room was also full of mosquitos as a door had not been closed - reception ignored our concern.
Remainder of stay when not having to interact with reception staff was excellent.

Issues brought up with reception AND hotels.com poorly addressed.
Shower required a dancing act to get wet.
On returning home. Chat with Hotels.com left everything to be desired.
Request for complaints email was met with we don’t do that. So this review is now about both hotels.com and the hotel. Both a disaster.

Lovely resort hotel - pay only a small amount extra for a pool room. Patio doors lead to your own balcony with steps down into the pool. Buffet style breakfast and we also enjoyed a grill night on Friday with singing duo. Reasonably easy to reach town using the motorised tricycles and the hotel offers complimentary airport pick-up and return

Resort costa palawan was quite beautiful!’lovely grounds and swimming pool ! Rooms are big and sleeps comfortably! Sound proof ! Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful! Love their exotic plants and flowers ! Hotel is tucked away on the beach ! Breakfast is excellent lots of options and local dishes as well ! Pool closes at 10 pm ! The beach is not nice ! Water looks brown and always low tide till 1pm that’s when the ocean will reach the shoreline! Check in is quick and they accept cash and credit cards ! Very relaxed and quiet resort! I had a great time ! Their food and drinks are excellent!

The biggest con to Costa Palawan is that it isn’t really a beach front property. The beach there is not swimmable, more like an estuary. You have to walk far away to get to the actual shore. The best beaches are an hour drive from that area.

Also, the building is strategically next to the pool, so most rooms will be advertised as “pool side”. You could be checked in in the 3rd or 4th floor and still be labeled as pool side.

The room we were checked in is nice and clean, but the shower didn’t have a soap caddy, so it was a challenge finding a spot to leave the soap/ shampoo while showering.

The spa is a laid back hut next to the “beach front” so you get the breeze while getting a massage. The masseuses were great.

The breakfast didn’t have a lot of variety for the 4 days that we were there, but it wasn’t bad at all. There’s an egg station where a staff cooks the eggs the way you want.

The staff is very polite, people in Palawan are generally very hospitable and friendly. Love that the hotel offers free pick up and drop off from and to the airport. When we asked for a makeup room, the sheets weren’t changed, but other than that it was throughly cleaned.

For a 3 star hotel, the stay is worth the pay.

This hotel was not a nice as the pictures. They were doing construction so the main kitchen and beach dinning were closed. The dinner service took way too long. But the most disappointing aspect was the beaches. They were dirty and unusable. I was expecting to be able to lay out and enjoy the beach but that wasn't possible. The hotel room was nice.

Traveler beware! This is the worst place I have ever stayed. I would not recommend this place for anyone. The staff is not friendly. Upon check in they sent me to the wrong room from my reservation. They corrected that after I brought it to their attention. The shorts don’t work as the hot water heater doesn’t heat the water. When brought to their attention they send unqualified and rude staff to try and fix the problem. Please stay away from the restaurant if you decide to stay here. We waited one hour and a half for our appetizer and main course. The food was full of hair. Very unsanitary restaurant with horrible service. I refused to pay for the food. The shuttle driver is very rude. You can take this review with a grain of salt, but please stay somewhere else. You have been warned by this review.

We stayed for 6 wonderful days. The property was excellent. The staff kind, professional and personable. We will be back. This resort offers a restaurant, bar, massage, pool and is just about 10 minutes from town. The resort is safe with a posted guard and security often seen walking the property. The staff were simply amazing. everything we asked for was granted effeciently with a smile. I would highly recommend this resort to any family who is looking to enjoy the beauty of nature with 5 star amenities. Local transportation picks you up at the front door of the property and will take you anywhere you wish. The front desk staff arranged day trips and massages for us. I award this property a sixth star. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Stayed there 2 nights while visiting Puerto Princessa.

Location a bit outside the centre so used tricycles to go more centrally, not too much of an issue for me but they are not the most comfortable mode of transport. There is nothing around the hotel I believe and the beach is not one you would swim in. They do have swimming pools if you want swim or just chill. Breakfast was ok, not much variety. Staff polite and friendly.

One thing that bothered me a bit, why is the toilet roll so tiny? Only place we saw this during our Philippines trip.

If you want to stay away from the centre the hotel is nice and quiet and quick access to the airport.

From the time we arrived in puerto pricessa it was just awesome. The shuttle driver was outside holding a sign up and I was able find him no problem. We arrived at the resort and was given a welcome drink. Wow! The resort was just top notch . The workers were amazing. I loved the accommodations. The amenities, the restaurant that was on site . The resort reached out to me to get my flight details coming into the airport for pickup. Our driver was waiting for us when we arrived. It was a quick drive to the location. It was guarded and gated, so it was safe.

The check in was quick and smooth. All the staff members were professional, helpful, and friendly here. No complaints there. They can easily sign you up for different tours and activities an picking you up from the hotel. Also, like others mentioned, they have an in house restaurant. We found it decent, not great. The service and atmosphere was great from it. Free breakfast was ok as well.

Since it rained a lot during the day, can't comment on the beach section. We partook in a one hour massage, that was heavenly and recommended. One morning, we were able to walk to the entrance and get a trike directly across that seems to be a service for that resort. We were able to use him as a private guide and driver for the whole day. So it was really helpful to us and to him to have a steady day. He took us all over, then to a beach and restaurant. We agreed to a certain price, but ended up paying him 2,500 pesos, a bit more, at the end for his help and patience.

The room, since getting a good deal through Expedia, I went with the best suite because it was a good price for me. It had everything you could want and then some. Waiting room with a half bath, full bath with giant walk in shower and dual heads, big bathroom, giant comfortable bed. Every luxury. Great stay!

The property was located directly on the beach with walkable access to other resorts, restaurants, and beaches if you walk along the shore. Walking on the roads could be a bit tricky as they are narrow and do not typically allow for 2 cars to pass at the same time. There are no sidewalks in that area. The on site restaurant was convenient so I did not have to leave the property unless I wanted to. There was a spa, a gym, 2 pools, and various other facilities on the property.

While our room was large with a separate living area, it all felt very clinical with all the white tiling and bright lighting, and had a strange smell all the time. The TV came on in the middle of the night whenever the power went out which happened a few times. No hand towel was supplied and the pillows were lumpy. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a sofa to watch tv from. The restaurant had a good variety of food and the new pool area was nice.

Here is an honest review, the resort was phenomenal, i would give them a 10/10 but for now its a 9.9 / 10 , everything was great, from the airport going to the resort , place was clean, food was great , drinks are awesome , love this place, staffs were very helpful, the room was so nice , the only downside was the wifi, i know its a resort and im supposed to enjoy it, but i also wanted to watch my show before i go to sleep, but the wifi was on and off, i didnt complain about it, because it was just a small thing, but overall , this place is the place that youd wanna come back again, id definitely come back again, thank you

The place was ok and fair for the price I paid. The rooms were large but the floor was filthy. Dated property, lots of mosquitos, water front was not really water front (more like muddy water). Breakfast was great!!!

Beautiful place, walking distance from the sea. Incredible view and the most helpul staff you can ever expect. Cocktails by the swiming pool are the best ! hope one day I can come back.

The hotel offered free shuttle service from the airport. Which was very nice.

There were stray cats and dogs in the dining area and we’re freely roaming around everywhere people were eating. I think they had fleas, because, I had a ton of tiny bites above my ankles .

Food offering in the cafe was very good and reasonably priced. The wait staff are excellent and took care of us very well. Cocktails were freshly made to,perfection with and delicious . Food was made presented artfully with veggie trimmings .

Our room was very clean and spacious, & has 2 very small bottles of water .any extra, will cost 50 php. 🙄
Bathroom amenities are austere . Almost empty bottles of shampoo and body cleanser ( which I had to request) 2 tiny soap that fell apart when when I was using it. No lotion , but our bathroom has comb,plastic hair cover, toothbrush set with toothpaste and cotton swabs and cotton puff.

The reception and check in was smooth, but we had to put 500 pesos for extra key card which was refundable . They were also accommodating in reserving our activities for the day and tours the next day.
Breakfast was OK, limited selections of food & beverage , you’ll have to pay extra for cappuccino ,their brewed coffee was like water. Pastries selection was meager, but they offer omelet station . Again, the cats room freely in the dining area.
There were 2 pools. Shame that the pool next to the dining area & facing the bay was so dirty and needs a major cleaning.
