Although it be a mixed, B&B. I stood around at the bar/reception for what seemed a lifetime. I couldn’t catch anyone attention to at least say I was a guest. It took me almost 30 minutes to check in.
Although very warm atmosphere, the room are worn and old with cheap decor. At £108 I won’t be stopping there again.

It had the basics and breakfast was good.

The room had everything we needed and it was clean. The personnel was friendly and breakfast was very good. The negative side was that our room was next to the entrance/exit and the noise of ppl getting in or out didn't let us sleep. The room is a little bit outdated. However, overall our stay was good and yes I would return to this place.

All seemed ok, clean and tidy. There was a bit of a weird smell. Not enough beds. Not sure if this is down to Expedia or the b&b. Was supplied with a broken bed, ended up with one of us sleeping on a thin mattress on the floor.
Handy location. Quite a steep price for what we had at €180 a night.

ghost town after midnight

This was a last minute booking but I didn't realize that nobody would be there after midnight. It took me awhile but I finally figured out how to get my room key. Breakfast was nice and hot, made fresh for us. This is a small quirky place above a pub but it met our last minute needs.

Food, atmosphere and location were great. Unfortunately the owner decided to have a lock-in after the 1am closing time and continued to blast loud music through the building until 4.30am
WiFi didn't work either.

Really let down by Hotels.Com on a booking here

REVIEW OF HOTELS.COM NOT PIPER’s PUB On arrival 8pm Sat evening we were told that no booking had been sent through by hotels.com, and there were no rooms available for us. The owner offered to help us after his busy dinner period had ended to find alternatives. I phoned hotels.com, was on the phone initially for 29 mins, promised a call back with alternative accommodation details. it didn't happen. I called an hour later, on the phone for 21 mins - then cut off. Tried the US number - wait time 8 mins - I gave up .
We eventually sorted out alternative accommodation ourselves - we spent an hour of our 2nd night away trying to do this, when we should have been enjoying a 50th birthday dinner.
No phone calls back from hotels.com, no retrospective apologetic emails – disappointing service.
This is unfortunately not the first time a "guaranteed" booking has not come good.Hotel rated "3" as I need to fill in all fields - but we didn't get to stay there so I don't know.

Nice place, would go back.

The hotel was nice just a but dusty. The beds were comfortable. We chose the 1 bedroom apartment as we wanted the comfort of separate rooms and we wanted a smoking hotel. The facilities were good in the hotel. The only downside was that the hotel was empty and the bar downstairs was closed so we had to find somewhere else to have dinner. I did not eat out as I chose this hotel based on the fact the staff spoke English and would understand my illness and did not want to risk eating somewhere else, but my family are across the road in the bar and they said it was lovely. The lady in the morning was nice and friendly and the breakfast was nice, although, the orders we gave were not given and as we were the only ones there, 3 adults and 1 child, I would of thought she could of got them right. I asked for no beans but I got them and as a coeliac this upsets me as this could have caused health problems. I'm not a complainer so I did not say anything. It was probably because her English was not good but we chose this hotel as it was an Irish pub/hotel!! I always put these kind of things down to experience and it would not put me off going back.
I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others, but I would check first to see if the bar was open so that there was a bit of life.

Hotel prima ,ontbijt prima, restaurant was wat minder mijn partner heerlijk gegete, van mij was niet goed.
Zo probeerde het zeker wel op te lossen.
Maar dit was niet gelukt personeel zeer vriendelijk.
En ik was niet alleen met deze opmerking er waren meer tafels.

Très bon séjour au Piper’s Pub

Un excellent séjour (d’une nuit) à l’hôtel « The Piper’s Pub ».

Service au top, personnel et patron très agréable, déjeuner extra.

La chambre est un peu « rustique » mais literie très confortable et le tout très propre.
Salle de bain à repenser et un petit airco ferait du bien.

Mais sinon nous reviendrons !

De studio was gehorig en als iemand voorbij liep dan sprong het licht aan onder de carpoort zodat je constant wakker wordt
Om het hoofdkussen zat geen sloop en zag er smoezelig bruin uit
Voor de rest was het wel prima voor 1 nachtje

We stayed at the poolhouse with 2 kids and they loved jumping on the trampoline and having a big to run around in yard, it was a nice surprise ! Beds were a bit hard but overall stay and breakfast at the Piper's club was awesome !

Het wel een zelfstandige checking met amper informatie. Uren ontbijt? WiFi code? Informatie hotel? Daarvoor moest je een nummer bellen. 3 keer voor je antwoord kreeg. Kleine kamer maar wel proper. Wel goed ontbijt .

Chambre familiale avec 3 divan-lits et peu d'espace entre.. Matelas et oreillers de qualité médiocre.
Propreté moyenne.
Vu que c'est un pub, animation musicale très bruyante (en tout cas de cette chambre attenante au pub) jusqu'à 1h30 du matin.
Pour la nourriture, prix au-dessus de la moyenne mais quantité et qualité des produits au-dessus de la moyenne aussi. Donc pour le resto, à conseiller.

We hadden de deluxe studio geboekt met 2 tweepersoonsbedden, 1 eenpersoons bed en een slaapbank.
Er was weinig tot geen luxe te bekennen. 2 bedden welke uit een kast klappen (tweepersoons) en een slaapbank, allemaal in 1 ruimte gezet.. De badkamer fungeerde tevens als opslagruimte van inklapbare bedden... We kregen de indruk dat de kamer snel 'gebruiksklaar' werd gemaakt.
Bij aankomst hebben we niemand gezien van het personeel, enkel telefonisch contact.
Onze 2de nacht was de pub open met luide muziek tot 's morgens vroeg.. Dit hotel mag niet aangeraden worden aan gezinnen met jonge kinderen!
Ontbijt was basic, maar lekker.

Logeren in een pub, huiselijke sfeer

Overnachten in een pub, een leuke ervaring. 's Avonds heerlijk gegeten. Het was erg druk, dus de bediening was gehaast, maar netjes.
We sliepen met onze 3 kinderen in een familiekamer die erg ruim was. De kinderen sliepen in een aparte ruimte.
Je moet 's nachts wel tegen lawaai kunnen, want het geluid van de pub blijft tot diep in de nacht duren. Wij hebben er gelukkig goed doorheen geslapen.
's Morgens was er een lekker ontbijt. De gastvrouw maakte voor iedereen een Engels ontbijt.
We vonden het verblijf erg knus, alsof we bij iemand logeerden.
Het strand is op loopafstand, dus ideaal! Parkeren was gratis.

Irish Pub von außen sehr nett anzusehn, Zimmer klein und sehr einfach in der Ausstattung (Bad extrem winzig, nur mit Falttür abzutrennen vom Schlafraum, zu zweit nicht nutzbar), positiv: sehr leckeres, umfangreiches Frühstück mit bacon & eggs & usw.
extrem abstoßend (daher nie mehr wieder): Umgebung! nur Betonklötze am Strand, keinerlei flair, totale Ansammlung von Bausünden, deprimierend

Lawaaierig, dicht bij strand

Wij hadden de Deluxe Studio. Het enige luxe eraan was de infraroodsauna en de
inloopdouche.
Wel n ruime, schone kamer, met n slaapbank, die sliep het lekkerst. 2 uitklapbedden.
We waren met z'n 5en dus alle bedden nodig gehad.
Keukenblokje met een niet werkende kraan en 1 bord in het gootkastje.

Enorm lawaaierig. Tot 4 uur 's nachts.
Deze kamer is naast het cafe, en naast de hotelgasten-ingang. Ook de toilet
van de cafe gangers is er naast.
Constant klappende deuren, mensen door de gang. Je word absoluut niet uitgerust wakker.

Het ontbijt was heerlijk en werd steeds aangevuld, deze mevrouw verzorgde het keurig!
Inckecken was echter heel onpersoonlijk, geen extra informatie en een parkeerplek hebben
we zelf gezocht.

Un trés bon sèjour

Nous somme restés 5 jours à 5 personnes il y avait une grande chambre avec 3 lits 2 personnes et 1 petit lit. L’état de propreté était très correct et il y a une très belle salle de bain. Pour le petit déjeuné il était très bon avec assiette avec un œuf une tranche de lard grillé et une petite saucisse haricot a la sauce tomate+ café jus ou thé pour se garer un parking tout près et le tram aussi pour le tram 15 euros par personne pour 5 jours sur toute la cote belge et de la très bonne Guiness

Kamer stelt niet veel voor maar voor één overnachting lukt het wel.
Wij hadden kamer nr.6 maar de 2 kamers met nummer 6 waren niet voor ons maar wel kamer met op de deur privé????
Engels ontbijt was wel lekker en vriendelijk opgediend.
Vermoedelijk kan men er ook lekker eten want het was volledig volgeboekt zodat wij er niet konden eten 's avonds.

Un gout d'Irlande en Belgique.

Un pub au vrai allure de pub.
Un patron à la hauteur de sa clientèle. En effet, pas de chichi, tout en étant très agréable. A recommander aux gens qui ne se prennent pas la tête et qui ne veulent pas non plus être pris pour des client roi.
Nous en tout cas on y retournera. Je suis allé avec ma femme et nos trois enfants, et nous avons tous été satisfait.

Hôtel sympathique mais...

Accueil chaleureux, pub plutôt sympathique.
Chambre impeccable, un peu de charme désuet mais bon c'est bien aussi :-)
Literie catastrophique et oreiller trop mou.
Et surtout, environnement extérieur très bruyant ce qui n'aide pas à passer une bonne nuit.
