This is a really nice hotel. Its very clean, very friendly staff, and good views of the castles. The breakfast was great, we didnt have dinner, but it smelled great. The bus stops are close by, so its easy to get around. We opted to walk to the castles, it was about 45 minutes and very scenic, would recommend highly.

This is a very nice property outside of Fuessen. You have a free bus pass to go in to town and a cab back is only 11 euro. You absolutely must get a balcony room with a castle view. They allowed us to upgrade for a very reasonable price. Parking on property is easy. The restaurant has excellent food. The view literally from the bed is amazing. Pic is from our room!

No elevator we arrived late had to take 2 heavy cases up to 3rd floor made my back hurting for several days of cause it is a late arrival but n front desk to help. the bed was 2 twin beds put together as a king bed, in the night kept slip into the gap between the two twin bed, haha, very dark bed sheets, never seen a bed sheets not in white. so you cannot tell if it is clean sheets or not. it is good to have a large yard to park your car and close to the Castle - they say 20 minutes walk distance, - don't =even try to walk, there is no side walk to walk on the narrow weg to the castle parking #3 the nearest parking you must drive to the castle, if you walk, it may take more than 20 minutes and can be dangerous with the cars running on the narro road. It is Ok tostay at this place and forget about it.

The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. If people smoke in the terraces next to yours you better close doors and windows as the smokes comes into the bedroom. Breakfast is 12.50eur which we found expensive for whats served, we decided not to pay for breakfast on our second day and went somewhere else.

Hotel Waldmann was absolutely picturesque! The location couldn’t have been better—just minutes from Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, and close to the charming town of Füssen. We stayed in an apartment with a king bed and two twin beds, which was perfect for our family. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast buffet each morning was a lovely touch. We highly recommend Hotel Waldmann and would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was lovely, but their wifi signal was quite poor and dropped a lot. Other than that it was a very wonderful room. The water pressure was hard, the water temp was very hot, the VIEW was just perfect.
There is a terrific little food truck about a 15/20 minute walk from the hotel! The pancakes, I mean, the pfannkuchens were AMAZING!!! The bratwurst were grilled and delicious! The french fries were cooked right, super crunchy but soft in the center. The Burger...just get the burger too!

This was the best part of our stay in Germany! The setting was gorgeous with a fantastic view of both the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. It was just what a pictured for a hotel in the Alps. We had a room the would accommodate 4 with a separate sleeping area with 2 double beds. Breakfast and dinner were available and were excellent. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Thankfully everyone spoke English to accommodate us, tourists who do not speak German well.

My friend and I stayed at this gem of a hotel for 2 nights. Of course it is so convenient to the castles- but the hotel was incredible. Family owned and run since 1933. Had e-bikes and regular which were great as we biked all over the valley. We ate at the restaurant our first night. They were serving 5:30-7:30. The food was SO delicious we decided to eat again our second night! The owner is the cook and she was amazing. The family was so friendly and helpful - I just can’t say enough for the praise. Beds were super comfy and the bathroom was great.See you again Hotel Waldmann!

This hotel is outside of the town of Fussen in a lovely country setting. It is very conveniently located near Mad Ludwig's castles. In fact, we could see both castles from our bathroom window!
If you have a car, there is plenty of parking available. And the driving distance to the castles is under 5 minutes.
The hotel has a restaurant on the main floor but it was closed on the night we were there. But it was no problem for us to drive into Fussen to find a place to eat. If you didn't have a car, you would have to rely on the bus system to get you around.
The hotel has no elevator and, once again, we were on the top floor. The room was a little tight but the bathroom was one of the biggest we had on our 3 weeks in Germany and Austria. It could use a little updating though. Breakfast was nice. Overall, another charming hotel in a perfect location.

Great location, very friendly staff, stayed for two days whilst travelling through Germany. Nice place, a little outdated and basic, and the towels in our room were frayed around the edges and looked old, however they were clean just old. Absolutely wonderful hotel. The place is so clean and well maintained it looks like a postcard. Staff super friendly and did everything possible to make our stay perfect. We rented the bikes and when we got a flat tire they were there in 5 minutes with a new bike. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and hotel Waldmann is one of the very best. Staff speaks excellent English as well. Wished we could have stayed longer.

We booked this hotel to visit the castles near by. We had a great experience. We arrived after dark and we were able to get in no problem even with no one there. I would suggest having a motion light in the front as the light didn't pop on until we got to the back and being there are no street lights it was a little eerie. It was very nice and well put together. Beds were comfortable. It was updated and wifi was great!. Thanks for a great time!

It is located close to the castles and Füssen also. They have a restaurant serving good local food. The breakfast is delicious too as they will cook you eggs the way your prefer.
