This was the perfect choice for a visit to Fussen. Centrally located within walking distance of the train station, the Monestary and local grocery store. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant is delicious and the breakfast buffet was well worth the 12,50. On top of that the room was well priced, spacious and with a very comfortable bed. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Enjoyed our stay. Great hotel smack bang in the middle of Fussen Altstadt. Walkable from train station. Room was a delight, clean and comfortable. We had a little balcony which was a bonus! No lifts so may require some climbing for higher floors. Hotel gave us a Fussen Pass which allowed free bus travel to Hohenschwangau and concessional tickets to the castles. Thank you for great memories of Fussen and Neuschwanstein!

My family stayed here for 2 nights during a 2 and a 1/2 week vacation. It was a highlight of our trip. The hotel buffet breakfast was amazing, probably the best we’ve ever had anywhere. The staff were amazing as well. The food at the restaurant was top notch. The only downside is that there is no elevator in the building. But don’t let that deter you, the rest of the hotel more than makes up for it. The location is also great, close to everything- food, train, bus stop, and a great view of Hohes Castle.

Hotel is in a beautiful historic building and very cute, but it doesn't have elevators or A/C. Tried keeping the windows open to cool down but it is very noisy on the main drag. Towels are thin and scratchy and the beds have a thin top that easily slid off at night. Had to readjust it several times through the night. Outside of the esthetics, I wasn't impressed with the overall quality, it was a very basic budget hotel.

The hotel is central to Old Town area. Most staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when we called about directions emailed prior to arrival. A little specificity as to where to turn off the main road into a brief pedestrian only area which then turned into a very brief auto area would have been quite helpful. It took over a half hour to find the place! Food very good and hot breakfast.

Located in a great area! A few minutes walk away from the train station and multiple bus stops; many dining and shopping options on the same street as the hotel and in the immediate area. Within walking distance (or a short bus ride/drive) of Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein, St. Mang's Abbey, Lechfall, and more. Around a 10-15 minute bus ride or drive from Hohenschwangau, from which it's a 15-30 minute walk to Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle, Alpsee, etc.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and clean. The room had a very nice bathroom area with a huge shower, and windows overlooking the main courtyard, where there is parking. Parking in the main courtyard area is limited, but the hotel has additional separate parking spaces.
We had dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel and had a good experience. The food was great and the atmosphere was very nice.

Between the choice of vicinity to Train station vs vicinity to castles location, i chose the earlier, coz this area has lots more dinner options & shopping. Do take note, all shops close on Sunday, except restaurants. This hotel is of considerable ages but the refurbished to very acceptable level.

They did a great job of communicating with us about the unique parking situation. Fantastic location. There isn't an elevator, which I just wish we had been aware of so we could have planned our luggage better, but that is more on us that the hotel. The breakfast was also amazing! Our kids still talk about it!

When we arrived the evening receptionist was very kind, spoke great english and he was dressed very suave. He is also involved in the restaurant as well, which the restaurant wasnt yet busy when we arrived so service was quite quick and we had our room number and key right away. The key could weigh you down while doing a lot of walking. Lol. The most interesting key set up, uou shouldnt have trouble finding it. There is no elevator. We had our room just on the second floor so it wasnt too bad and we were backpacking so no heavy luggage to take up flights of stairs. The room is not modern, there's a crystal chandelier and wall sconces and the bed was a good size in a small room. Definitely tight trying to move around. The bathroom is small also, the shower is super small but lots of hot water. We were there in February so a hot shower was a must. The restaurant was good, the staff was prompt, friendly, funny, easy to get along with and had an english written menu. The breakfast buffet was one of the cheapest priced per person buffet and had the best food of all the hotels we stayed in while in Europe. It was great. I really don't have anything bad to say about this hotel except it wouldn't be good for people with mobility issues. The room and bathroom are small and only News on TV in english.

Easy <5 min walk from the train station, and easy to catch a bus to the castles (hotel will likely offer a discount on transportation or castle entry if asked). Excellent hotel right in the middle of town. Super walkable and offered a delicious breakfast. The room was quiet and comfortable. No elevator for our luggage, but we survived. Great shower and comfortable bed was all we really needed. The staff was awesome as well, very accommodating and allowed us to park at the hotel early and leave the car a little longer than our reservation so we could enjoy the town. We liked the quaint homey feeling of the hotel. They gave us free bus tickets to get to the castles and that was very convenient as well. The only downside was all the noise in the morning from cleaning machines on the road outside of the hotel.

The staff willing to help you though. Limited car parking space. For E cars there is AC plug that you have to provide it yourself. Great area for shopping and eat in the old town.

The superior room we booked appeared clean but once staying there was not. The linen and towels were so worn and thin and some had holes in them. The daily service was poor…just folded the doona and plumped up the pillows. The floors were cleaned once during our 5 night stay. The room was located outside the main building above a garage where people congregated to smoke. The stairs leading up to a landing with 3 rooms was so dangerous as steep and winding with no handrail…would not pass health and safety in Australia and there was always a smelly odour in the stairwell.
On the positive the breakfast was fabulous and a nice variety. We ate one in the restaurant and it was quite nice too.
