The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful, they made the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room was very nice and clean with a beautiful view. Breakfast was vast and delicious with a various selection of local/international cuisine. Definitely coming back.

We had an amazing room with our own sauna, the room / apartment was spacious with lots of lounge space, couches and storage. We were on the top floor with amazing views overlooking the city lights and streets below, along with the alps/mountains across the horizon. The staff were very accommodating and while they didn’t speak much English they made every effort to attend to us. It gave us a good opportunity to practice using our translator apps.

Very clean, nice staff, very conveniently located in the town center, walkable to bus stops. If you park at the garage, you get a free Fussen Card which can give you free bus (and more) rides to the Neuschwanstein and even discounted admission tickets. Beds are very very comfy too!

Great for a one night stay to visit Castle Neuschwanstein and Castle Hohenschwangau. Super convenient and close to the train station. Arrives from Munich and headed out to Colmar, France. They held our luggage since we get t there before check in and provided everything we needed for our stay. Lots of room, comfortable, and quiet!

We stayed only one night after visiting the castles in Schwangau. So not a lot of time to check everything out. It was hot in our rooms that night. Had to sleep with window open which made for a bit of noise late at night with people walking around outside after having imbibed. But we were exhausted from castle climbing in 80F weather all day so we mostly slept through it. Breakfast was good. And check out was easy.

Just steps from the train station! Desk clerk was nervous about her English; we pointed out that our German is zero. Looking over her shoulder, I noticed a glass doored refrigerator, with beer. We'd just got off a long train trip (four trains, and a couple alternate itineraries due to impossible connection times). She sold us a large bottle of dunkel and opened it for us at the desk. Our moods immediately improved!

Breakfast was good and extensive. Dining room is very nice. Actually, everything about this place was nice. I booked at the last minute, found this hotel and paid more than I had budgeted. I'd recommend it though.

Can’t recommend this place enough!! The reception staff were wonderful, and it’s right next to train station and bus stop for the castles. Also a short walk to Old Town, which is worth a day of its own. Hope to stay again some day.

Was disappointed in the check in and out process. Check in the young man was pretty rigid and cold.
When we tried to check out lady would not talk to me. I had short window to catch my train. So I just left thinking my bill was paid. She waited till I was at train station chased me down and started yelling at me I didn’t pay city tax. Why isn’t city tax collected during the check-in process. I had to go back almost missed my train

Since we arrived late by train, this hotel was convenient. The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. The bed is very hard and the pillows were almost flat. It was so stuffy and stale in the room in July that we didn't asleep well, even with the windows open.

The staff at this hotel really saved our trip! Our stay was excellent, we loved the rooms and the breakfast! But the staff really excelled when my husband forgot his passport and other travel documents in our room when we checked out. They found them, and made sure everything was stored securely in the front desk safe until he returned to collect everything. We are so grateful and highly recommend this place!

Great hotel to stay in for your visit to the castle! Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was good- lots of people eating but service was ready promptly.
We were in a large van so we knew the parking garage under the hotel would be very tight, they recommended one just a 5 min walk away that was outdoors and worked perfectly for us.

Hotel is on the edge of the old town of Fussen and a very short walk from the train station, great position.
Has own car park beneath hotel, special rate for guests, though quite tight space for your larger car.
Reception were helpful when we had questions.
Old Fussen is great if you like wandering around old streets, full of shops, bars and restaurants.
You have the castles a short bus or car journey away, though, you need to book to ensure you get in on the day you want to go, or take pot luck at the on site ticket office.
Nice walks just out side of town, various lakes and the river Lech.
We enjoyed our visit.

Many tour buses use this hotel. Noisy outside during the evening/night due to people, smokers, and traffic circle. It was difficult to get sleep if you needed the windows open due to noise and smoke. Some rooms have nicer views of the castle. Dining area could be very busy if tour buses were there at the same time. Nice selection for food. Very convenient location to walk to the old town area with many restaurants and beautiful sights to see. Very close to the train and bus station as well.

It’s very walkable to old town, shopping and restaurants. They give you a bus pass for local transit and to/from the castles. The boat stop is just a block away. I’d definitely stay here again.

Truly loved everything about this place. Our room was huge and incredibly clean. The beds were comfy enough and we could adjust the temperature in our room to our liking. Breakfast was included and was decent. Overall the hotel was very quiet and there’s an underground garage to park. It’s close to the castles and good restaurants.

Just a note, the garage is VERY narrow. Like insanely, narrow.

We checked into the property with friendly and welcoming staff. We were offered parking in the garage for a good rate, and the staff was very helpful with our questions.
Breakfast was great, many options and tasty. The property is quite large and there were several hallways and doorways to get to our room, which was a little inconvenient with having to open multiple doors with luggage- I suppose this was to mitigate noises from others, but it wasn't too bad.
The location is fantastic and it is easy to get around and navigate to shops and restaurants. They offered mulled wine during the Christmas season we were there which was a plus!
I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Most everything was pretty good, but the rooms were aged, yet clean. Issues were: the heating/cooling did absolutely nothing. We could get any air moving the whole time. Now wash clothes. Bad, one size fits all, shampoo/body wash, and no conditioner. Retro-fit tub with handle shower head only. Only a single pillow per person. The property is great, it just goes downhill quickly once you get to your room.

The location was excellent. Right next to the train station, shops and restaurants. The hotel was large, clean and pretty. Unfortunately it was cold. They said they don’t turn on the heat yet and there aren’t room controls so they gave us an extra blanket. We only picked this hotel because it was advertised as having a hot tub (picture shown too). After days of walking in cold and rain we decided to pay the extra cost of a hotel withthis item. Yet when we arrived we were told the hot tub was stopped during covid and discontinued. I doubled checked when we went up to our room and the photo and item was listed as available just to be sure it wasn’t a mistake on my end.

Hotel location, parking and dining options are superb. Breakfast was excellent. We will definitely book at Luitpoldpark again the next time we visit Fussen.

Nicely situated hotel that was close to shopping and dining. Room was huge but it had almost no furniture in it and the furniture it did have seemed like stuff they got from an apartment somebody was moving out of. Our room was right next to a park that was decent to look at but had a lot of noise coming from it later in the evening. All in all we were satisfied and would not avoid this hotel. Parking was very convenient.

Plus the bus stop was a 2 minute walk from the hotel. We were able to take the bus to the castles easily with the Füssen card that you get a check-in.

I loved Fussen it was so easy to walk around and see the town and what it has to offer. The hotel gave a free card for transport which we used to go and see the castles. We walked all over, we went to see the weir and and walked to the next town which was only 3.5kms away. It had everything we wanted.
