This hotel’s set in a little paradise, the staff were very helpful and offered a small menu for dinner and it was delicious. Breakfast didn’t disappoint either, a really great variety to choose from.

Hotel was excellent, a small quaint hotel with a nice breakfast. The rooms were clean and spacious for the normal room. The only thing to consider is the hotel is located about a 10-15 minute walk from the downtown area. If the weather is nice, it's fine. If you have a rental car, a great place to stay. if not, just understand the walk to the downtown area.

I arrived a little after 10pm and was not able to get my room key until the next morning when they opened up. Apparently they shut everything down at 9pm and this was not communicated to us. We traveled almost 15 hrs by train to get to this hotel and we were forced to sleep in the lounge because no one was there to give us a key. And then they charged us full price despite this horrible incident. This establishment has very poor policies for check-in and very bad communication skills. The lady at the front desk thought it was absolutely acceptable for us to sleep in the lounge area because no one was around to give us our key. It is now 2024 and almost all hotels have some form of electronic check-in so a guest is not forced to sleep outside or on the porch in the event they arrive late. Otherwise, it seems like a nice place, they mean well. They just are not up to date with the times and have really bad communication skills with their guests.

The hotel is traditional inside with lots of cosy touches such as sheepskins on the seats.
The room was super clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony into the park and towards the mountains was magnificent.
There were lots of paths for walking and cycling and 2 lovely lakes nearby for swimming. A cute crazy golf course also on the doorstep.
The breakfasts were super. Loads of variety. Bacon, eggs, cold meats and cheeses as well as a selection of cereals and breads including gluten free and dairy free.
Staff were lovely,very kind, helpful and smiley.
When we were late for breakfast the chef made us scrambled eggs specially.
A great place to stay.

Beautiful nature, view from our room was breathtaking! It was a great decision to pick this hotel. Hotel has parking so it was very convenient with a car. Walked to Fussen for restaurants and shops. Breakfast was awesome, staff were friendly. We stayed one night and took the castle tours next morning. Nature and surrounding area is so beautiful. If we go back, will not look further and stay here again.

Duvet only on bed (which is the norm these days) meaning no cover from such as a sheet and hence unable to leave patio door open to get cool air during the night, so bring a fan if you can like we did.

No tea/coffee making facilities in room.
No restaurant (though plenty in town) and bar closes at 9pm

Hotel Ruchti was very nice. We were only in town for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was very clean and beautiful. We had a balcony with an amzing view of the mountains and scenery. It is facing a very nice park with a quiet, peaceful setting. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Included breakfast was amazing with lots of variety. If I am ever in Germany again, I will definitely come again.

Phenomenal stay. When my brother decided to go on our trip after we had booked the property, they went ahead and moved us into a three person room instead of having to rent a cot. Gorgeous view of the mountains from the hotel room, and just natural beauty all around. Only gripe is the wifi had poor signal in my room, but not really necessary as I spent most of the time enjoying the surrounding area.

Awesome place that need a fan

Read hotel elf on the forest side of town. Totally love to stay here again and enjoy the scenery, with a patio overlooking the fields of the mountains, etc. Only negative was that the room was warm without opening all the windows, and I have mosquitoes. Would love to have had a sin to at least move air around the room at night time.

The location of the hotel was convenient and close to our destination for the next day.
Breakfast was outstanding & plentiful.

The room & bathroom was very small, too close to the stairs on the 1st floor, with many other guest walking past our room - high traffuc & loud.

Our overall stay is good. The room has a balcony with view to the mountain. The bathroom is newly renovated and clean. The heating rack for towels is useful.
There is room for improvements. There are only two shampoo and shower gel sachets, which might be only enough for one shower per person. Considering the cleaning is only done every 4 days during the corona time, we had to ask for more already after the first night.

The hotel is in a wonderful place about 1 km from the city center surrounded by trees and mountains. The room is spacious but the bathroom need to be modernized. Some rooms have beautiful views. The hotel could have bikes to rent and the restaurant could close later. We couldn’t have dinner after 8:30pm.

Hotel had history and charm, and was located in a great area. Unfortunately, when we got to the hotel, they didn’t have our booking. Lucky for us, they had one room left, otherwise we were told that we would have been turned away. While we were staying, we asked about laundry service, as there are no laundromats in fussen. They said that laundry would be 18 euros, and even though it was expensive, we agreed. Next day at check out, our bill for laundry was 30 euros. The room was clean, however there were stains on the carpet and walls. Next time we are in fussen, we will stay in different hotel

Hotel was just okay. Bathroom was tiny but worked. Breakfast was good. Our mistake was to book half-board, as the set menu had little choice. The food on the first night was poor and the service was terrible. We nearly went out to eat on the second night but decided to give it another try - fortunately this time the choice was still limited but service and food quality were better but not outstanding.

Stayed for 3 nights. Friendly staff overall but had an issue with tiny flies in our room when we arrived. Staff got rid of them right away but when they returned on day 3, girl at desk said she would “tell someone” who could deal with it the following day. Soooo, we had to sleep with 10’s of tiny flies buzzing about.

Aside from that room was decent. Breakfast decent but nothing special by German standards.

We loved staying at Ruchti's! We stayed two nights and selected the dinner included package. The mountain view from the balcony was gorgeous and the food was great. We later wished we had stayed an extra day or two in Füssen before returning to Munich for the flight back to the states.

Interacted with a couple of staff throughout the stay, majority of them were friendly. Room's clean and cozy. Appreciate that there's a fridge, but would be nicer if there's more facilities.

There's a restaurant located right downstairs of the hotel. Dined there three time, two of the nights were the same waitress who also run the reception (shame that I can't remember her name). The restaurant was heavily understaffed, but she made up for it with her fantastic service.

Location was good. Quiet with a very nice view. Might be a little inconvenient if you're not driving. Quite a walk from the train station, but it's worth it. There's a lot of signs along the way from the train station to the hotel, ensuring that you're not in the wrong place.

The hotel was perfect for us. We didnt want a luxuries place that cost a lot so we settled for Ruchtis. It gave us a relaxing and very pleasant experience. It was comfortable and it has its elegance.

Pros: Breakfast is great
Room: Was comfortable, warm and clean. Bathroom excellent.
Staff: helpful with recommendation.
Price: For the price it was excellent!

The only downside is the internet is a bit slow.

The room is clean, older but the furniture is well made and sturdy. There is a lift if you need one and a central staircase if you would like.

The staff are welcoming and the restaurant is amazing. The staff are lovely and will give recommendations for food and drink. The food is 5* with lots of variety, and the beer is local and very good.

I had a few days of solo travel without my family and decided to see Neuschwanstein and Hochenschangau. Ruchti's was a fine guesthouse for a solo traveler and I also saw several groups and families there. I had a single bedroom with a balcony and view of the park across the street. The room was quite small, but I didn't spend much time there. It was comfortable enough and very clean. The room was a little warm one night so I left the balcony door open and let the cool, Alpine air freshen the room all night. The breakfast was plentiful cold meats, cheeses, fruit, vegetables,, yoghurt, bacon, and eggs. Central Füssen is a nice 10-15 minute walk alongside a beautiful river.

Exceptionally pleasant hotel in western Bavaria

I stayed at Ruchti's for a week. The hotel is a grand modernized Bavarian chalet-type place. The restaurant is first rate. The breakfast is sumptuous. The staff is very very good. The area and the hotel are very quiet, yet just beyond a small hill from the town center. I recommend this place but make sure you know what you're getting for a room before you finalize a reservation.

Very disappointing stay. We had paid more when booking to have a room with separate seating area and balcony as we had small dog with us. When we checked in we were given a tiny room, no seating area, no balcony ( view out of window was a wall and roof 2 meters away) . When we pointed out mistake they said they were fully booked and that was last room. At first they said hotels.com were 'always doing this, taking bookings for rooms that don't exist' . Next day they admitted it was their fault too.

Stayed here after visiting the Neuschwanstein castle. Located in a small residential valley. Hotel facing south. Had good views of the valley. Right next to a ski-jumping park. Very quiet place. The lady manager was extremely friendly. We were given a family room with a living room, two doubles, one sofa bed, and a balcony. The room had a fridge. Their breakfast featured a must-try croissant.

P.S. We had a big snow storm in the next morning (near the end of April). The whole valley became an unforgettable scene of Frozen. Will definitely stay here again.

Pros: Much better than a 3-star hotel. Very historical. Very relaxing area. Free parking. Large rooms. Big balcony. Had fridge in room.

Cons: No coffee-makers in room. Small bathrooms.

Loved this hotel and location. Very homey, quiet, and comfortable. Loved the balcony. Great place to get out and walk. Restaurant was excellent. Beautiful scenery. Close to Neuschwanstein Castle. Wished we could have stayed another night.

Lovely hotel

Unfortunately we arrived late at night but someone waited up for us. This was very kind. We didn't have the opportunity to see much as we headed out also early in the day to see the castles. I think if one was staying longer this would be a great location and property.

Highly recommended.

Cozy hotel, the room with breakfast and dinner price is an excellent value, the food was very good, service was good and they spoke perfect English. Close to town but in a beautiful park. Very close to Ludwig's castles. Would definitely stay here again.
