No one helped us with our luggage upon arrival. There were no instructions about drop-off in the underground parkade. The elevators are very small. The rooms and beds are also much smaller than shown in the photos. Expedia lists this hotel as a 4-star property; at most, and generously, it is a 3-star hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms although very small. We asked for a twin room after friends warned us that the Double Room is very small.
Ensuit bathroom is a partitioned room using transparent plastic panels. When light is turned on at night it lights up the bedroom which is not ideal for other occupant who is asleep.
No restaurant facilities for breakfast. Only lunch and dinner. We did not mind as there was an excellent Cafe within walking distance.

First and foremost, this hotel is owned/ran by YWCA, which means they expect at least one female customer per room. This was not mentioned and stressed upon on the expedia website/app.

The property was recently renovated and the public areas are clean and well kept. The hotel is walking distance to the busiest hub in the city.

The hotel reception staff were helpful, polite, and professional. The cleaning staff had some issues understanding \"do not disturb\".

Overall, quiet and clean property. Good stay.

Though the hotel has few amenities, the room itself is clean and spacious. The neighbourhood is safe and quiet. Buses is only a few minutes away. Definitely getting my money's worth.
The one receptionist whom I encountered is not exactly friendly. But the housekeeping staff is very courteous.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Housekeeping only changed the towels but did not make the beds. They didn’t even replenish the coffee stirring sticks! When asked for replacements at the front desk we were told they didn’t have any. Are they expecting guests to reuse the one stick they provide during the entire stay?!?!?

The reception manner was terrible, he is not professional enough to stand there. He was no show of welcome to us and just said passport to me when checked in as if I did something wrong. I think he really hate his job !
The bathroom tiles has some red brown colour stain marks to make you very touncomfortable to see. The shower door cannot close, water running out. The good things the bed was comfortable.
I will not go back there.

The was on the 12th floor room was fine , I didn’t like that the bathroom light was not lighting where the mirror was and couldn’t really see into the mirror, and the washing basin was faulty too, didn’t want to complain because I was staying only for another 4 night. The first room on the 10th floor was excellent.

Newly renovated. Close to Mongkok ladies market and easy access to Nathan road. Staff was very accommodating. One day when we walked out it was drizzling and the front desk had umbrella to lend us. Best way to get to this hotel is using Airport Express and get off at Kowloon Station. There will be complimentary shuttle taking you to the nearby hotel Metropark across the street and you can use the escalator at the public library next to three gas station to go up the hill.

A gem in Hong Kong, real high-speed WiFi

Summit View Kowloon is a gem in Hong Kong. It's next to YWCA in a quiet residential neighborhood, and it's a hotel. Everything was clean and well maintained. The room size was enough for two people with luggage, according to Hong Kong's environment. The bathroom was spotless, with sizable shower space and a rainforest showerhead. The hotel's wifi speed was the fastest, 60Mb/160Mb, from others in Hong Kong I've stayed. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the only drawback was the location. The hotel was a little bit uphill and not close to a subway station. Taking a taxi from the nearest subway station is recommended with luggage. The hotel had a small restaurant but no other restaurants around. I had to walk a couple of blocks to restaurants through quiet streets. I enjoyed my stay. The hotel should be the best at its price range in Hong Kong. I'll stay there again when I get a chance.

The deluxe twin bed room is a little small at 183 square feet. So its best if you just plan on using the room for sleeping since moving around and storing your suitcases is tight. But the beds are raised so you can easily place your suitcases under the beds. The bathrooms are amazing and cater to women, with a luxury over-head showerhead in a large shower stall. The wi-fi is good and fast. The beds are comfortable. But the air condition seems a little dusty so I turned it off due to allergies and it seemed to alleviate the symptoms.

Great hotel for short stay

Stayed in Hong Kong for a few days to see family and have a short vacation. The hotel was located very close to Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok - only about a 10 minute walk to either subway station. There are many shops and restaurants in the area as well. The hotel staff were efficient and very helpful. The room itself was a bit small, but I imagine is the standard size for a Hong Kong apartment. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Pros: Hotel is clean and modern. People are friendly.
Cons: It is located 15 mins away from MTR. Hotel doesn’t provide shuttle service. But you can take bus 7 or 801c at the opposite side of the street to Tsim Shui Tsui. Both buses stop in front of the hotel on your way back.
Room is very small. But this is normal for hotels in Hong Kong.

The location is good, quiet and many convenient stores, restaurants and bakeries around the area. Bus stops are close by within minutes of walking distance; MTR stations are about 15-20 minutes walking distance also. The room was clean and staff are very friendly. My only complaints would be: only one chair available for sitting in the room between the two guests and the mirror in the bathroom is not lighted. Also, the hotel is on a hill, beware if you have problem walking uphill.

A quiet haven

An easy 15-minute walk to Yau Ma Tei mtr station. It's a short walk to Yim Po Fong Street where there's a row of craft beer micro pubs, popular with young people in the evening. I liked the atmosphere there. It's a short walk after that to Mongkok. This hotel used to be a YWCA and you can see the neon lit sign on the building if you look up. When walking from Yau Ma Tei mtr, turn right into Fat Kwong St (before the petrol station) and then left into Man Fuk Rd. The entrance is up a slight hill. the lobby area was never noisy as there were no big groups when I was there. (Fri and Sat night)

Great value for Hong Kong. Spotlessly clean, relatively spacious (for Hong Kong standards) and very quiet. Restaurant in the lobby had a good selection of Western food (but not Chinese food). Within walking distance to many Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants, the Kowloon Public Library, and primary school. I liked it. Only problem was the 15-minute walk to the closest MTR station -- Yau Mai Tai. I recommend taking a taxi to the hotel if you have luggage because it may be slightly confusing to locate on a map.

Hotel was great. The beds were comfortable. Room was a bit bigger than what I expected from hotel room in Hong Kong. Wifi speed was great. TV selection needs more choices of English channels. Shower was a bit cramped and hard to get in if you have a wide waist area. Its a bit of a walk to the nearest MTR but if you are with family or friends, you won't notice the distance. There are a couple of local restaurants and bakery nearby.

If you are looking for peace and quiet place to stay the night, this hotel is good for rest. However, if you are looking for a hotel that is more nearer to shopping places, this is not so convenient as the hotel is located slightly out of the way and up a short hill. Quiet and good conditions. Shower drainage is not efficient as stated by others. Room size is decent by Hong Kong standard. Location is a bit far from MTR station; a straight walk of 15 minutes to Yaumatei station, Feel even longer to Mongkok station because of crossing of roads and going through busy inner streets. Need a longer walk to Nathan road for the airport bus. Will try to find a location closer to MTR stations next time.

A decent hotel with lots of eateries around. It is clean with comfortable beds and good and modern shower stall.
It is not near subway stations. Yet if one knows how to take buses, it is reasonably convenient.
The room is very small. Only one person can view the TV on the bed. The view of the TV is blocked by the washroom.

Only one person at reception so I was made to wait upon check in and check out.
Room was very small and the bathroom did not smell nice. I have been to Hong Kong several times and know that the rooms are generally small, but this seemed even smaller than usual.
Hardly any place to put your luggage and the desk is very small so not suitable if travelling on business.
The coffee shop is not open yet.
My room was next to the lift and you could hear it bleeping sometimes.

Huge room for the price!

Staff are super friendly, check in and out was about 2 minutes, very efficient. The room is huge compare to other hotels in hongkong. Love the height of the bed, taller than the usual ones. Good lighting and a mirror with lights is provided for female travelers. It’s very quiet Day and night. I tried different metro stations and seems Yau ma tei is the closest because the walk is basically in a straight line and not so crowded. Will stay again.
