The room was clean and comfortable, and we stayed as a group of four.

Our stay was split across two separate date ranges with a two-day gap in between. During this time, we requested luggage storage for four suitcases, as each guest had one piece of luggage. The hotel policy allows storage of only two suitcases per room.

It would be helpful if this policy were clearly stated on the hotel’s website in advance. The staff initially suggested consolidating four suitcases into two, which was not realistic. I explained that while a two-luggage limit may be reasonable for a standard two-person room, we were staying in a room for four people, with one suitcase per guest.

Although the hotel did store all four pieces of luggage in the end, the experience highlighted some limitations that may be worth noting for guests with similar needs.

Staff attitude and customer service are excellent but that’s where it ends. Rooms in desperate need of renovation, toilet seat worn out due to age, stains on the underside of the seat, mould everywhere in shower ceiling and basin. Furnitures corners and edges all chipped, the office chair provided is ripped, blinds very dirty and stains on sheets. Cleaning team works on a quota and there is a chestnut shell from previous stay on the floor. The condition of the hotel is worse than a motel.

The only positive about this hotel is the location. It’s positioned in the perfect spot is you want easy access to shopping mall and MTR station. The hotel itself is very dated. Our room had a strong smell of stale cigarettes which was not ideal for our 10 year old. The carpet had stains and the bathroom desperately needs an update.

The staff were rude and unwelcoming and did not make us feel welcome at all. Every staff member we encountered was like this apart from the room cleaners who were pleasant enough to say hello and have a great day.

I don’t even want to mention how bad breakfast was. The last time we stayed at this hotel it had one of the best buffet breakfasts. This time no buffet breakfast.

And to end the TV in the room was from the 1990’s so if you want a nice luxury stay don’t stay here

Stayed there for 7 nights and was given a room on 17/F which is the highest floor for standard rooms except the club and executive floors above.
Room was clean and housekeeping did a great job every day. The aircon in the room was quiet and the bed was relatively comfortable.
However, the air in the room was very dry and the washroom did not include body lotion / cream as part of the amenities provided. I was a little bit disappointed as well that there wasn’t a small Nespresso machine or other simple capsule coffee machine available in the room — that’s a standard for most hotels these days.
Overall, the hotel’s location is unbeatable, service was good, room was big and clean, and I would stay in Royal Plaza again if the opportunity arises.

We found some black stuff on bed sheet, not sure if they were bugs. The front desk sent people right away to change all sheets, pillow cases and blanket. Staff were polite and friendly. The room has no heat. The brought us a space heater.

The location is super convenient. The hotel is directly connected to MOKO Mall and Mong Kok East MTR is right inside, so getting around was a breeze.
Room was clean and comfy and the staff were friendly. Only thing we didn’t love was the lighting in the room. It was a bit dark. Other than that, it was a great stay!

I have a well welcome from bell boy Kenny, while I’m doing the check in , he offer my old uncle a card to gent if he needed, he will also reminder my elderly to bring more cloths cox the weather is cold. He indeed a very helpful and caring staff . And Joyce and miko helping us with smooth check in , they reminded the housekeeping to keep and eyes on us cox we got elderly check in. I’m very thankful to 3 of them especially, let us a pleasant and warm stay.

The hotel is very convenient and attached to shopping centre with MTR. The rooms are clean but the noise insulation is very poor.
You can hear the toilet flushing from either neighbouring/upstairs room. Also there is a rumbling noise (maybe from the train) every 5-7minutes. My room was on the 15th floor and the road noise (motorbikes and cars) is very loud at night time.

Though the cleaning staff cleaned the room daily, and really did their best, it cannot undo the staleness of the room and the surfaces within the room. Also, the shower would not drain properly. Would be standing in inches of still water just after a couple of minutes in the shower.

We chose this hotel for its unbeatable central location, and it did not disappoint. For our rushed trip, the convenience was perfect. The room was very clean and the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. While our schedule didn't allow us to visit the pool or gym, our experience with the core essentials—location, cleanliness, and service—was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

This is the hotel we stay at every time we visit Hong Kong, largely because of its unbeatable location. The direct connection to the mall is incredibly convenient, and the rooms are consistently clean. That said, the property is starting to show its age, and the bed was a bit too hard for our liking.

Unfortunately, this stay was let down by a messy and slow check-in experience. The staff were friendly, but not particularly well trained. As Go Royal members, we had already pre-checked in and queued at the Go Royal priority check-in line, yet we ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes—longer than the regular line. When we raised our concern after waiting for so long, one staff member actually tried to redirect us to the normal check-in line, which was frustrating. Eventually, Bill (who appeared to be the manager) came over to check us in. While he apologized for the confusion, the response felt perfunctory and did not convey that the situation was taken seriously.

Overall, the location and cleanliness continue to be strong points, but the poorly managed priority check-in detract from what should be a smoother experience for loyal guests.

Good location with MOKO mall next to it and a MTR station. Link bridge to Fa Yuen’s Street Market. Friendly staffs, rooms are clean too. Hotel don’t provide shower cap. Asking for nearby clinic as my son vomitted, seems like counter staff are not familiar with the areas. They don’t know where has a nearby clinic, only asking us to go hospital or call a doctor with additional charges. One of the staff also taught us go by the main road to walk to Fa Yuen Street and she is not aware that there is a link bridge that can access to it. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

It is also linked to Moko mall for easy shopping and rooms are big enough to accommodate up to 4 adults in the same room. The surrounding areas outside the mall is good for strolling to see flowers, fishes and birds with some local shopping. The room is clean, and is attached to a shopping mall, which has many different types of cuisine, and a cinema. A train station right inside the mall and take you to all part of HK, just need to transfer to other trains and it's super convenience.
The room has a smart TV, BUT, not able to screen mirror to your devices and watch Netflix or Iqiyi, which is HUGE down. I have not been to any hotel that dont have this function. In fact, most have Netflix installed. I later found out the reason - the internet is super slow, and prevent from working smoothly, literally you have to wait for a webpage circling and circling, so slow that I had to travel to to the airport and rent a portable wifi, which they called WiFi Egg. I come to HK every year and this is my must stay hotel, so does my mother. With today's technology that people in general has multiple devices, this is a BIG con. I hope the hotel will upgrade the internet server in a near future.

We stayed at RPH for two nights recently (15–17/12/25). There were 15 adults and 1 baby in our group, and the hotel was very kind to allow us to check in before 1pm and check out at 12 noon.

Most of our rooms were upgraded to the 18th floor. The staff were very polite, accommodating, and professional.

This was my fourth stay here, as the hotel’s location is extremely convenient — it is directly linked to Mong Kok East and Mong Kok stations, with major shopping areas within close proximity.

Spacious room. Clean. Easy to find your way and helpful staff. For the price you are paying you are getting the space, comfort, close to mall and train transit. Perfect for the fact that it's on top of a mall and MRT station. This MRT station isn't one of the major artery but it can be easily transferred to another line at another stop. Mall doesn't open until 10-11am but breakfast is open at 7am (MW) located just outside of hotel connected to the mall with good decent meal so no need to join their breakfast plan. Should u wish to walk outside the streets, that's a bit out of the way. You'll have to walk over the bridge to get down to the local area in MK or u can take the bus a few stops down. There's a bus station right by the entrance of the mall but the timing is off if you're checking Google maps so ask the drivers.

Hotel set in a great location. Mall next door but not a high street mall, has all the essentials and some great food options. Attached to that is the train station and bus terminus.

Rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. Pillows are not great but the bed is comfy.
