We are traveling from US. I grew up in Hong Kong and visited HK multiple times. This is the best hotel in HK that I had stayed in terms of locations, convenience, food and shop choices. The hotel is above a mall with subway on B1. You really don’t have to go out on the street.
The long bridge with covered link to Mong Kok many attractions. The swimming pool
Water was warmed and clean, ( hope their open pool schedule could be better). The only thing I gave 4 stars is there are NO self service washer nor dryer. Their laundry service charge per pieces. I rebooked the same hotel with upgraded room for the returning trip. It’s a super convenient hotel.

Staying here for total of six nights. We were in and out because we joined China tours. But we couldn’t get a later checked out for the last day. Only allowed us to have one hour additional time only . And staff said it will cost me about a hourly rates. Not quite happy about it!

Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The room size was unbeatable considering it’s in Hong Kong. Very convenient location and is connected to a shopping mall with lots of restaurants and shops. Also the subway station is right in the mall which is super convenient. The pool was big and fun. My kids loved swimming in it. Very suitable for family. The only complaint I had was that our room wasn’t ready till 3:30pm which took longer than my expectations. Other than that, everything else was great. Will stay again when we come back to Hong Kong again.

Very convenient hotel to stay at. Been staying at Royal Plaza for a long time and is the hotel I booked everytime i travel to Hong Kong. MTR and shopping is all within walking distance. No lack of eateries too whether it is within the mall or out of it.

When we entered our room, the door was already squeaky, the carpet looked like it hadn’t even been cleaned. Bathroom was also not sanitary with it looking very dusty and dirty. Staff was not the best and didn’t really help because most were all busy on their computers and the communication needed a lot more work. My family had all gotten bedbug bites all over our legs and we had to see a doctor and all. It was just terrible. Not recommended for a vacation stay.

Location, near by the airport/ good restaurants/great area if you enjoy shopping
(direct access to Moko shopping mall)
Easy get around to other areas with taxi or Mtr/bus services
The cleaning staff and the staff at the gym & swimming pool is the most friendly and helpful.

Negative:
Some of the staff at the front desk can be inconsistent, our experience staying at the hotel recently and before has been different each time. It’s a shame and hopefully can be sorted by training! Your establishment is only as good as your weakest link! I spoke to a staff member just before leaving this hotel, thank you for your efforts to correct matters, much appreciated!

What we don't like is that, the hotel do not have a laundromat in the hotel itself. It will be great to have one situated in the hotel. If not, hotel should at least provide information of the nearest laundromat and ways to get there

This is the fourth time staying at this hotel so we know and liked this hotel. The staff are fabulous and the location is awesome. However we were disappointed with this stay as the quality of the facility has gone down. The pillows and beds were very soft and bedding was scratchy on the skin. Everyone in my party woke with sore necks, shoulders and backs. The toilet paper was so rough that even the ones at the adjacent mall was noticeably a better grade. The hotel no longer provides nail care or sewing kits and the slippers provided are of poor quality. Having stayed in hotels in China on this stay, we were not impressed with Royal Plaza this time around.

Always stay at this hotel every time we visit Hong Kong. It is in the same building as MOKO shopping centre as well as MK East station. Plenty of other MTR stations within a 10-20 minute walk as well - all mostly connect by overpasses which is handy!

So many good eateries nearby and so convenient to get everywhere.

Booking taxi service for the airport is also seamless.

Bathroom maintenance could be done better such as cracks on sink, floor ledge at the door is a tripping hazard and bathroom is too high making causing slips when coming out.

It was our family’s first time in Hong Kong and overall the hotel was exceptional. However, the front desk staff during check-in was rude. I believe they should be more polite and willing to answer questions, especially for tourists who may not speak the language. On the other hand, housekeeping was exceptional

Absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Royal Plaza for 13 nights. Definitely would choose them again. Hotel for me was in a very convenient area with access to the train/underground and bus. As it was right in the shopping mall it also meant loads of food choices if you didn't want to go far as well as decent shopping though admittedly enjoyed shopping in the nearby markets like Ladies Market, Flower Market and Temple street more than the mall. All the staff I encountered were all very friendly, professional, helpful and efficient. The lovely ladies who clean the rooms always greeted me with a smile and even disappointed one day when I said I didn't want my room cleaned! I didn't get to use much of the hotel facilities as was out and about meeting up with friends and family but on our departure day since our flight out was late in the evening we asked about using the shower facilities and was happy to pay a fee since we had already checked out. The Concierge staff were so helpful in helping to arrange this and the service was complimentary. One final thing that I loved about my stay to which I have not seen before in any hotel and I highly recommend other hotels take on board if they haven't already, and that is there was an additional tap in the bathroom which was filtered drinking water! Genius! So you don't have to use/buy bottled water and since it was on tap you can drink as much as you can and take some out with you in your flask when you are out.

This hotel is at Mongkok East Railway station, so it is very convenient to travel to Shenzhen. If you want to go to Ladies Market you could just walk. To travel to other parts of HK the Mongkok MTR is near. The hotel is clean, quiet and the room is relatively large. Very comfortable to stay, the service staffs are very helpful and courteous too.

Stayed in this hotel twice within 2 years, staff are always polite and rooms are cleaned well. Location is excellent with two different MTR stations within 5 minutes walk. Only thing can be better is that after 11pm the adjoining hotel back entrance with the Moko shopping centre closes therefore you cannot walk directly through the Moko. Instead you need to walk partially through the shopping centre and around the side of the building to the main entrance, which takes a few minutes longer especially after a tired day out.

View was average but room was very clean and modern. Large enough for family of 4 and I believe we were put on the same floor as other families, although we couldn’t hear them from our room. Hotel doesn’t have a bar not coworking space so not great if you’re expecting to do a little work. Gym and pool looked good and it’s very conveniently located within a huge shopping centre and station, the café adjacent is open early and serves an excellent HK cafe menu.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, the last time was more than 10 years ago and the hotel upgraded themselves so it looks more modern now.

It’s located in a very convenient location, connected to Mongkok East Station and Moko mall. We could walk to Mongkok via the connecting bridge. There are 茶餐厅 nearby and you can walk to prince Edward station via the escalator and along the road in 10 min.

Only downside is the shower head water pressure is quite weak.

Other than that, love this hotel! I enjoyed the waso cafe opposite prince Edward station a lot, will definitely go back for more!

The room size was great, the beds and air conditioner worked well. I found the facility well maintained and customer service great. The location is terrific and close to shops and the MTR station. The only draw back when we went in March was that their pool was undergoing maintenance. The pool looked fine when we checked it out but was only open the day after we checked out.

The gym and the pool are really well maintained, and the steam room and sauna in the changing rooms were also very nice. Our room itself was amazing, and really well maintained. Everything was top-notch. Breakfast was convenient and simple— nothing incredible, but still nice to have. One thing to note is that the room only had a cooler fridge, so it can’t store milk, and there was no microwave. Wasn’t a big deal for us, but could be if you’re traveling with small children.

We traveled as a family of 4 and my kids loved the hotel pool. The pool is actually much larger than it appears in the photos on the website and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice both the pool and change areas were. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
