Not bad, but the shower glass doors were filthy and overall room cleanliness and noise levels could be improved. Cleaning staff and front desk were decently friendly. Shower temperature and pressure were fantastic. Very limited amenities. The location is convenient and near the MTR but there isn't much to do directly outside the hotel as it's an industrial area. If you can get a price of CAD$85 or less per night, it's great value. Otherwise, there are other hotels to choose from.

We stayed there for 3 weeks last September and we had a enjoyable & comfortable stay. Room is small but we were expected. The housekeeping ladies are very friendly and polite, they refilled all the toiletries every day. Special thanks to the front desk people let us check in early and helped us call taxi when checking out. They are very friendly and professional. The only thing needs improvement would be the cleanliness of the bathroom. I thought the location is far away from MTR but I was wrong, it's just a 5-8 mins walk. Would definitely stay there again in the future!

There's really nothing bad to say about this property. I spent an entire week at this hotel for my honeymoon and we always looked forward to coming back to a clean room every night. Staff was extremely polite and helpful and the housekeeper always adhered to our schedule. Can't wait to be back again in the future!

Hotel location was perfect as was situated in Mong Kok. Also, MTR, buses, KCR transport facilities to various parts of Hong Kong are very close by.
Room was comfortable, especially the firm mattress and a super king size bed.
One of our rooms had the facilities to support guests with mobility issues (e.g. rail grab bars around toilet, mobility wet room).
Staff were very friendly, helpful and supported our needs during our stay.

The room is clean, modern, but small. The staff are friendly and try their best. However, trying to get a taxi from that particular area can be challenging not specific to them but taxis in general in Hong Kong. If you want to ensure you get a taxi, you should book it. 24 hours in advance. The area where the hotel is located is not the cleanest nor the brightest in terms of lighting. It is about a 5-7 minute walk to the closest MTR. Overall, they are pluses and they are minuses decide what is my important for you.

Booked early and got a good deal, being in Mong Kok it is very convenient travelling anywhere in HK. Station could be closer, around 7 minutes walk through crowds and HK heat/humidity. Something to consider if you are not as mobile. Overall happy with the stay and would come again

Good for a short stay

The pictures of the rooms does a lot of justice so don't be too fooled although they are nice and to a degree of modern standard. It is small so a couple staying in a standard room might be tight. Bathroom floor is made of wood like you would step into a sauna, personally I would prefer tiles or laminate flooring but overall it's clean which is the main thing. Didn't really interact much with the hotel staff but they were polite and helpful which was the main thing.

A few days in Hong Kong

My stay was ok, the hotel location is ok, near the city, the area is a bit away from all the busy traffic and yet within walking distance from everything.
The only not so good about the room is the bed is not comfortable, I have the King size bed but my guess is that it is not a real King size bed, it was combined by two twin bed, there were spots of the bed feel really not comfortable, hard, etc.

Overall nice stay but rooms could be cleaner

Overall its good for the price. Very central location and nice and quiet. Could do with more deep cleaning such as the scale and grime on the shower door and mosaic tiles under the shower door threshold (see uploaded photo). The room safe is only secured to a pull out drawer in the wardrobe which is completely insecure as the drawer could be easily be removed. The cleaning staff were very polite and respectful. I was rather disappointed on the final day how unhelpful the reception staff were when i needed to use the toilet but the one in the reception floor was unfortunately closed due to some general refurbishment work. As i was very needing they did not even try to help by offering an alternative, for example, surely there's a staff toilet or they could have taken me to one of their guest rooms. Instead i was left to find my own toilet away from the hotel.

Kicked out of hotel over an admin mistake

Call and check to make sure hotels.com vip perks are aligned with hotel. I booked through the app and had a 2pm late checkout. However, it did not seem like the hotel knew/allowed this.
I paid a half day rate to check out 5pm the next day.
The reception called me at 4pm telling me I have to leave asap even though I paid for the room till 5pm. Super helpless, I was forced to leave. I told them I would be ready in 10 mins and will check out, but somehow that was not quick enough! House keeping knocked on my door 2 minutes shortly after my call with the reception. Her words were 'times up!'
Super disappointed with the entire experience. The hotel called me to explain after that they 'made a mistake' and 'this shouldn't have happened'.
Anyhow, horrific experience. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Find other options if you can.

After completing a 4-day stay at the hotel, I am happy to report that the hotel met my expectations for a top “value” (most bang for your buck) hotel. Room: While all the rooms at the Lodgewood have a King bed, the one I selected, specifically the “LW Corner King” room, not only had a King bed but also a separate sofa-bed. It is about 350 square feet (large by Hong Kong standards and other 4- star hotels are about half that size). The room itself is ultra-modern, stylish, with an outstanding design and efficient use of space. The shower in a semi-circle glass structure that extends partially into the room is chic.
Location: The location is convenient – just 5 minutes of walking distance to the MTR (subway) which gets you to Central Hong Kong in just 15 minutes. Also, the Lodgewood hotel is just 10 minutes walking distance to the Ladies Market, Sneakers Market, and Electronics Market. ( Make sure you ask the receptionist for a map.) A supermarket/grocery and 7-11 are a few minutes walking distance. Features: I am happy that the room includes free and fast wifi, coffee/tea in the lobby, free bottled water in the room. Further, the room had a safe, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and even cutlery! Also, for my trip back to the airport, the receptionists arranged a car/private van to take me to the airport at the same cost as a taxi – super convenient! The only negative thing about the hotel is that it directly faces an old building so the views are not great.

It is approximately 7 mins away from the Mongkok MTR exit by foot. My room isn’t very spacious as it had 2 single beds. Also, the toilet has a glass wall that allows occupants to see through from the bedroom. Fortunately there is a curtain to block. Bed was fairly comfortable, though a little on the firm side. The toilet was fairly clean though the glass wall could be more well maintained as there were old water /soap scum. marks

Room was small(to be expected), looked different from photos. Kind of close to train station and a mall. My biggest pet peeve was the toilet seat was smaller than the toilet. So when you are sitting to do your business your bum is touching the wet toilet...very disgusting. Also, I noticed the bathroom might need more cleaning because I see black scum or mold near the shower door. Also, there is no gym ....

The best part of our stay was the staff. Simon Lee, director of operations, was absolutely wonderful. He was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived. He provided us with awesome advice for our short trip which included taking a big bottle of water to Hong Kong Disney to save some money! He even gave us 2 pins to either keep or trade at the park, this was a huge plus and we are grateful for that! We decided to keep them as a fond memory of Simon and our amazing stay at Lodgewood. We will recommend this hotel to anyone we know going to Hong Kong and we will stay here in the future when we come back. Thank you Simon!!!

Exactly what I expected and excellent value. Nice rooms, nice professional staff, well located on Canton Road and just 5min walk from Mongkok station. We were upgraded free of charge to a similar room but on a higher floor simply by asking if any upgrades were available. Also we were provided with alternate pillows choice of hard, medium soft etc, and as our flight out was in the evening and noone was booked into our room on day of departure we were able to check out at 3pm. If you're looking for a good base in Kowloon for your holiday with a comfortable king size bed, air conditioning, spacious bathroom all set in a compact room with large floor to ceiling windows for a very reasonable price, then Lodgewood is highly recommended.

Fuss free, flexible and comfortable L'hotel

Simon the manager on duty was able to accommodate my request for a change in dates. This was a little tricky as we had to book a new date and then the hotel had to refund our previous booking. He happily advised us regarding the procedure and was highly informative with transport information and tips on food as well. Having a good command of English is great for travelers who do not speak the local language. If you are looking for a fuss free and clean hotel, look no further!
