Room was clean and overall nice bed was terrible so sunken in that the second night we sleep sideways at top and bottom to avoid sunken area. Staff at check in and out were nice, no complementary breakfast and restaurant attached to hotel wasn’t good sent my wife’s dinner back. Complementary beach chairs and towels but did not use them. Good location also two blocks away from 7th parking garage.

This is a basic hotel , room was clean , hotel is old , location and price was perfect so we decided to stay there for two nights, we didn’t eat there but there was a restaurant on site, there is a CVS next to the hotel and many restaurants in the area, hotel is beachfront and beach is accessible.

The property is older but has a lot of character. Not a 4 or 5 star property but the location, history and staff make this hotel great. I love a franchise hotel so this was out of my norm but I enjoyed it. You can walk EVERYWHERE from this hotel. A lot of popular movies was shot at this hotel so it makes it even cooler. Ocean view from the room was beautiful to wake up too!

Great old school motel, but don’t expect a 5 start hotel in South Beach around the Art Deco district unless you want to fork over $800 a night.
The Beacon is perfect for a quick trip stay!

During the day South Beach is peaceful but at
night it can be quite loud and busy.

Beacon Hotel is in an excellent location. Across from the beach and surrounded by many stores and eateries. The food at their own restaurant, Oseteria, was absolutely delicious and our server, a tall gentleman, was amazing. Room was small, but very clean. We had a good experience.

Great location and the bed was very comfortable and clean sheets. If you plan to spend your time outdoors and just have a comfy bed to sleep, it is perfect for you. Also cheaper than other hotels on the same route. They do provide towels but jo chair or umbrella for the beach side.

No matter what time of night it was, the room was bright like dawn / dusk. There was an alley light that was bright as fk and there was no window covering on the bathroom window. This wouldn’t be an issue if the g bathroom door wasn’t made of glass!

I have never experienced a room so bright in my life. Even the man door, albeit probably many years old, let light through the edges.

Noise / to be expected for the area so whatever - but not quiet if you want to sleep before 11pm.

The light switch was halfway out of the junction box and super sketchy.

The Beacon hotel is good for the location, but the hotel itself has a lot of shortcomings. The rooms and the bathroom was not clean enough and the furniture is very dated and needs to be changed. The elevator of the hotel while we are, there was not working at all and to go up and down five flights every time. The staff is fairly helpful, but the management really needs to put more concentration on the functioning and the amenities of this building.

I highly doubt I will stay here again, given all of the problems. Specially the elevator not working on a busy spring break week.

1st it’s very mediocre. Rooms are not updated. Elevator not working so we had to climb 3floors to our room. Check in was at 3pm. I checked in online before check in. Arrived at Hotel and room wasn’t ready, but other guests rooms were ready and I had been waiting for hours. I was told my room wasn’t ready because I wasn’t face the street view and I had a king. I asked if they had a queen ready I’d take that instead of a queen if that’s what taking so long. However, I needed help printing my boarding pass for my cruise ship, and the clerk helped me out tremendously getting it printed because something wasn’t working with sending it to the hotel email. Although, she accommodated me with the printing. I will not be staying at this establishment again.

Hello me and my 2 friends recently stayed at this hotel for about 4 nights and we wanted to share our experience. During our stay we noticed that our room was making us extremely stuffy. One of us is actually highly allergic to mold so during our stay she started to have breakouts and we felt stuffy almost every night. There was a few times when we requested towels from the cleaning ladies and they were extremely rude and would say no. We kept our composure then one day we asked again and the lady very rudely said no again then we asked if the least they could do was clean our room since we were headed out in 10-15 mins they also said no in a very rude tone. We went to the front and expressed our experience with the cleaning ladies and then asked if we could at least get our room cleaned by the time we get back which would’ve been a few hours. When arriving back we returned a few hours later and a do not disturb sign was put on our door and our room was not cleaned. We once again returned to the front and expressed how we asked hours prior to get our room cleaned and asked them to check their cameras because we were met with rudeness and didn’t even receive service. We were told they were actively cleaning our room then returned no one even returned to our room. We had enough and asked the front desk woman to talk to a supervisor or at least be given their number so that we can give her a call and she refused. I would write more but there is a limit, but very unprofessional

The elevator didn’t work so everyone had to use stairs.the only parking is valet which is $50 a night and no one is ever at the stand and the code you scan will tell you car will be there in 20 minutes but will really take over 40 minutes to get car. And there was never anyone at front desk to help you they will leave you standing there for 20 minutes. Only good part about this hotel is the location

This place is an absolute dump outside of location. Elevators broken and had to climb 3 flight of stairs with 5 bags. There was zero hot water in the shower and only respond from maintenance was “building is old and that’s normal”. My whole family has to take cold showers for the entire stay. Phone was broken so could call front desk had to walk up and down to talk to someone. Room cleaning didn’t come to and had to make our own beds, take out our own dirty towels. Management didn’t seem to really care either. Easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Shocking how this place is still in business.

The rooms have been updated but are in no way as clean ascthey are shown in the online pictures. The shower drain was chisrled out with sharp edges. The bathroom lighy flickered on and off. The furniture in thevroom had humidity damage and there was dirt around the baseboards. We started to use one robe, however when we opened it, there was a long black human hair on it.
Positives were the hotel has a good restaurant and the food tasty andcwell prepared.

The hotel itself is good for the price, it is in the heart of miami beach, so the price is the right one for the location. The bedroom has good size and bed was really comfortable. The staff did something that made almost lose my flight. He asked my passport to scan and did not gave it back right away, I did not notice that at the moment and got really crazy looking for it later and he should have checked my name on it and send me a message or something which he did not at all. I think this was a big mistake.

Walked into a not-so-friendly front desk staff member, and come to find out my room was on the fifth floor and the elevator was broken. From what I’ve heard, it’s been broken for a long time, so be prepared for a broken elevator if you stay here. Someone carried our bags up for us due to the non working elevator. My suitcase was scuffed all over from them dragging it up the stairs. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything and anything going on. Due to this, be prepared for poor sleep if you’re not a heavy heavy sleeper. The only benefit of staying here is being directly on ocean drive and right across from south beach. We also stayed in a room that had a “bay view” and my only view was the buildings next to us. Although I could barely even see the building through the dirt and grime stained window panes. As a result of my experience, I do not think I would stay here again.

This is a tough one as the place looks good, the location is excellent, and it was spring break so i am not exactly sure this is the norm! The check in went smoothly, and we had a flight cancelled so I inquired about another night and the last helped me and thought we were good. We were early after getting off a cruise and checked out bags, room was not ready. The worst part of the entire place was the lobby bathroom, both men and women’s were overflowed with poop! so gross! it’s was noon so they had time to clean them. Room was nice, realized it was going to be small but it’s a great room, went to dinner came back and went to sleep, worked up in the night and our toilet was not flushing. Went down had to use the bathroom, the lobby bathroom was again oveeflowing with excrement! not good! got someone and they fixed our bathroom very quickly, had breakfast came back and had a bill in my room, went down and they said yes you are checked out, i said well I told the lady before to extend my room, she started telling me I didn’t pay for the room and I tried explaining that the check in lady told me I had another night, she was not having it and telling me I was checked out I didn’t pay?? It was crazy conversation, I said well do you have another room for tonight, she said yes of course!!! lol, I was so confused, I said perfect problem solved! I liked the hotel and maybe the craziness or spring break caused the other issues.

Elevator was out of service. I was not advised until after transaction. I was placed on 5th floor room 504. I had to go up and down 5 flights of stairs every time I left and came back to room. I had several bags of luggage that I had to take up and down 5flights suitcases and all. I paid over $1200 for room for 3 nights. The hotel only agreed to give $68.81 credit. The elevator was known to be out of service weeks before, but it was never mentioned when I called prior to flying into south beach Miami. DO NOT STAY THERE ALSO IT HAD DIRTY SHEETS AND HAIRS ALL ON GLOOR AND BATHROOM SHOWER. Staff did not care. $68.81 is unacceptable because the elevator is apart of the property which you are charged to stay.

Staff were great and accommodated an early check in. However if you want to get some sleep I’d advise not booking this hotel as the walls/ceilings/floors are paper thin. The elevator was out of order and we were on the 3rd floor. We packed for a 2 week cruise so had lots of luggage. Two male staff did carry out bags up to our room for us but we had to lug them all down at 0430am.
