We have stayed here many times. We love this hotel. Close to the pier and town. Lovely surroundings. Lobby clean and tidy, smart in appearance. Fantastic quiet room, located in the back of the hotel (as requested). Very peaceful and comfortable. The staff as always extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast fresh and tasty. I would of preferred a bit of fresh fruit for an option but overall very happy with it. My husband couldn't finish all the breakfast (which doesn't happen often :) ) Bonus = parking. Great one night's stay. Thank you.

Lovely hotel with modern decor and clean facilities with complimentary water, tea and biscuits in the room each day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended a few things to do with our daughter. We didn't have breakfast during our stay as we wanted to try some cafes nearby but the restaurant and breakfast area looked lovely. They allowed us to store our luggage both when we arrived and on our last day which we appreciated. The hotel is well situated right in the central area of the town in walking distance to the beach, the pier and shops. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

The complimentary in room refreshments where also quite decent, The room itself was fairly modern the beds where comfortable too, we didn't try the food but the dining room and toilets downstairs where very modern and refined, if say the only downside was the actual in room toilets as they weren't as modern also no smart TV if your hoping for one of those.

We had a family stay at this hotel and overall had a pleasant trip, though there were a few areas that could be improved.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the scenic sea view, which was absolutely beautiful and made the experience more enjoyable. Although we spent most of our time exploring and mainly returned to the room to sleep, the view was worth appreciating.
However, we were slightly disappointed with the condition of the room. The toilet door handle was broken, and the bathroom only had a shower area with a child safety look a like door and curtain—there was no bathtub. Slippers were not provided, and the carpet did not appear to be well cleaned or maintained. The room was also quite warm, and we were informed that the temperature was centrally controlled, so we couldn’t adjust it ourselves. We had to keep the window open to cool the room down.
There were tea and coffee facilities , but no fridge in the room, which would have been convenient.
On a positive note, the staff made a big difference to our stay. They were polite, helpful, and very cooperative throughout.
Parking was another challenge. Finding free parking required some effort, and the parking opposite the hotel was only free during specific hours (after 4 pm until 10 am), which was a bit inconvenient.
Overall, I would rate the stay as average in terms of the room, though the scenic view and friendly staff added value to our experience.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The location on the beach front was fabulous and close to all the shops and amenities. My top floor room was very comfortable and warm with views across the bay. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and attentive. Great it has a small car park too.

Staff very kind! Restaurant closed during visit, no breakfast. Call ahead to confirm availability is best advice for future. Off season and after new years. Uncomfortable temperature control in one of the rooms, wouldn't go below 26 degrees even with system off, window open and fan on. This was a second stay for us at the hotel, and unfortunately was nothing like first experience.

Lovely hotel with very clean reception and polite staff. I noticed my duvet cover was marked on arrival but on mentioning this, they replaced it straightaway. Minor issues were that I did not seem to be able to get any cold water from the taps, and the temperature of the room via the climate control unit seemed impossible to change, so the room was warmer than I prefer it.
Overall though, a lovely hotel, very well positioned overlooking the sea and the staff were courteous and helpful.

Lovely welcoming lady receptionist and the young bar staff very polite and cheerful.

Crooked floorboards in bedroom but this added caracter and great space for 3 ladies sharing with 3 single beds.

Coridors and room were really hot when we arrived, we had to open the window and switch off heating in the room, it took a while before it cooled down.

Room and bathroom were basic but clean and very comfy beds.
Can' t comment on food as we did not eat there.
Very convinient for shops, eating and Venue Cymru.

The hotel, staff and the room were great, my only issue with the room was it's location. I was in the first floor room above the reception area which had ceiling speakers playing music. This sounded twice as loud through the floorboards of my room than it did in the reception area. That said, the staff turned it off later on at my request so I could get an early night. The only other issue I had was with the breakfast, it was quite expensive and because I don't like a few of the things on a full english I asked for just bacon, sausages and mushrooms. I was saddened to see just one item of each on my plate, yes, one mushroom even though I had requested multiples. I would stay at the Esplanade again in a different room higher up but I wouldn't pay for the breakfasts.

The room was located in the next building, so we had to take a long walk to the room. The room was so noisy as it was located on the above of the restaurant. The music played till midnight and I couldn’t sleep at all. Not a good experience.

Stayed on room 305. Few marks on walls which could easily be cleaned off. Beds comfortable and clean bedding. Bathroom very dark but clean. Furniture somewhat at angles due to uneven floor.
Breakfast in the goat varied and fresh and staff Sarah and Gaz coped very well with busy breakfast room on 2 days we stayed. Nothing was too much trouble. Have used restaurant previously and would recommend. Would stay again but request different room.

It was so dirty and dilapidated, we spent our first night finding a different hotel. I’m shocked that average reviews are as good as they are. Carpets have tears, fraying, and copious stains. Railing, jambs, and all high touch areas are grimy with chipped paint.

Well situated hotel, some areas in need of upgrade. Our room was lovely but too hot, we were supplied with 2 fans which helped a bit, staff were lovely, very friendly and very helpful.
Beds were very comfortable internet access was actually awful but not the fault of the hotel.

Triple room, plenty of space comfortable with appropriate tea coffee facility. 2 rooms separated by an archway, pleasant suprise. Clean bathroom. Carpets were stained and room was too hot for us, only one small fan provided. Fortunately i had spoken to the hotel beforehand and taken my own.

Excellent customer service, friendly and helpful, very welcoming. Easy check-in and check-out process.

Parked on a side street no space in the small car park over the 3 days. The main road is also very busy.

Location is excellent, across the road to tye beach, close to shops and petrol station at Asda. Also very clise to halal food options.

The room was ok, but the noise upstairs was really loud, everytime they used the toilet and flushed it fell like it was going to come down leaking, we can hear the bathroom noises upstairs and it was loud till early hours which in return affected our sleep. I’m extremely disappointed with our recent stay due to a very upsetting experience at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant staff were not only unhelpful but outright rude when we asked them to warm up food for my autistic child - something we’ve never had an issue with at any other establishment.
Despite explaining the importance and necessity of warming up his food due to sensory sensitivities, staff refused and dismissed our request with little empathy or understanding. The lack of basic accommodation felt discriminatory and left out family feeling unwelcome and marginalised.
Hotels should be safe, inclusive for all guests, especially children with disabilities. Unfortunately, this experience demonstrated a lack of awareness and training that is unacceptable in the hospitality industry.
Until proper training is implemented and steps are taken to prevent such discriminatory behaviour, I cannot recommend this hotel to families with special needs.
Also, the shower had no water flow.

I had 2 night in Room 112. Really everything was fine excwpt that the bedroom carpet was in a terrible state.
It was badly stained, poorly laid and rucked up. It spoilt was is a rather nice single room. I advised the receptionist on leaving the the carpet should be burned.
Staff were friendly and I would be happy to stay at the hotel again.

On arrival into Llandudno (approx 1pm) it was a lovely day and as schools in the area are still on Easter holidays street parking in the town centre was impossible to attain. In desperation after cut long town several times I accessed the hotel to enquire if it was possible to utilise the hotel car park. The receptionist was very helpful.
Once we had checked in soon after 3pm we found the corridors exceptionally warm but fortunately we were easily able to open the window in our room.
Whilst our room was fine (& had a pretty decent walk in shower) it was a distance from the lift and involved descending a few steps then ascending another set of steps. As I have knee problems I struggle with steps so if we return I would need to request a room on the same level as the lift however the receptionist was very helpful so I dont envisage this being a problem.

Location is fantastic seafront property so very close to everything.

Stayed in room 103, and was literally the furthest room away from reception, had to walk through 5 doors, traversing multiple levels of stairs (with a fully loaded suitcase)

The room was ok, window facing the car park.

The bathroom was a wet room. Pink floor like an old people's home.
Even had a wetherspoons style plastic toilet roll dispenser fixed to the wall. Very bizarre.

It had a digital temperature control box, but whatever we changed it too it didn't change. We couldn't even see an A/C unite just a radiator

There was a white plastic fan, so guess this was our AC!

The window would only slide up a few inches, and even that didn't stay up so had to wedge a spoon underneath to keep window open. South facing so sun was on room all day so became very warm at night.

The mattress provided was solid as oak.

To the point where it actually hurt my back to lie flat.

Think I've slept on more comfy park benches.

We had dinner in the Goat downstairs and this was fabulous. Great service and great selection of food, set menu for £22.50 very impressed.

Did not eat breakfast as we ventured out but this was probably nice.

Overall good value for three nights, but due to the mattress and lack of quality in room we will try somewhere else next time, but Def would go back for dinner one evening.

The lift goes to every floor but not every room is accessible without stairs as well! They seem to be in an ownership or management transition so some issues were met with basically a shoulder shrug. The view from our room was awesome but the layout was barely navigable with suitcases, carry ons, etc.

Arrived a bit earlier than usual to get a parking space. Check in was very easily done and in addition to this I booked an extra day and managed to change room for a seaview with the help and assistance from Claire at reception. Easy access to lift up to 3 floor. Room was well presented with tea/coffee/milk etc with kettle in the room. There was also a fan and hairdryer. Our only dissappointment was the temperature in our room on top floor being a constant 26 degs and unable to adjust it. Sash windo only opens t 4 inches for safety reasons. Staff stated that in the future they hoped to resolve the issue by installing aircon as they have no control system on top floor bedrooms. Shower and bathroom clean tidy with shower and handbasin both with soap dispensers. Fntastic sea view across Llandudno and a great place to stay.The Goat restaurant ajoining the hotel is a fantastic place to eat with live entertainment on over the weekend. Not sure if this happens every night. All the staff in both hotel and retaurant could not do enough for us. Definitely use this place again

One night on the beach in Llandudno!

This hotel looked good on paper, and it did have some positives. But there was something wrong with the heat and it was easily 100 degree F on the third floor upon arrival. We turned off the heater in our room and opened the windows, so it did eventually cool down. Parking is a nightmare in the area around the hotel and the hotel garage was full. The employee at the front desk was very friendly.... no complaints about him or his helpfulness.

Very friendly reception at check in. Immaculately clean room and en suite - also both very spacious. Comfortable mattress and excellent water pressure in the shower. Good lighting and plug points and well considered storage spaces. Ecologically aware with shower and basin soaps and gels - on wall dispenser instead of lots of little plastic bottles and towel reuse request. Very minor shortcoming was the room temperature control not working but as the room was a little over warm rather than over cold this didn't present an issue for one night's stay. Happy to recommend!

Great one night stay on Saturday 25th Jan. We were attending an event at Venue Cymru, which is a ten minute walk away along the prom. Easy check in, and very nice clean room. We were on the first floor, but the room was located through a small warren of corridors and steps, not a problem for us. The bed was comfy, and the room was great for us. The bars and restaurants on Mostyn Street are a few minutes walk around the corner. We had a drink at The GOAT bar/restaurant, was very nice and well decorated. Would definitely stay here again!

The property is well located with free parking. Good to have a restaurant and bar on site.

The room was clean but basic. There was a dirty towel which we asked to be swopped.

The bar area was nice. We ate in the restaurant but didn’t enjoy the meal.

Breakfast was fine but limited choice and nothing special.

Receptionist and restaurant staff very friendly, bar staff seemed less so.

Our room 103 was situated above the restaurant so we had issues with music and noise at times.

The hotel was ok but personally wouldn’t stay there again.

Weekend stay at the Esplanade

We booked a standard double room with a King bed, but got a family room with a double and a single. Although it wasn't what we'd booked the room was nice and big with a decent sized bathroom. Bed was nice and comfortable, even if it wasn't what had expected.
Staff at reception were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

We were impressed by the clean, modern look within what was a traditional building. The facilities in the bar and dining room were so modern. I wish we'd stayed longer. The room we had was spacious and the decoration subtle.

Only complaint was parking - they indicated they had a lot, but it was full so had to find street parking and move the car according to time limits.

Location & staff were very good. We chose Continental breakfast which was excellent & good value for money. We had dinner twice in the restaurant which again was excellent & good value. The single rooms were adequate but would benefit from some updating. There was no suitcase stand in the room so unpacking/packing had to be done on floor, which was very awkward. Overall a good experience & we would book here again.

Excellent hotel. We had a family room with a sea view. The room was spacious with all the facilities we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again the next time we visit Llandudno.

The Hotel is situated on the promenade front with the car park behind it accessed through a narrow back street. In order to gain entry to the free parking you do require a pass-code for the barrier so will need to go in the front door first to get it from reception. The spacious room was quite noisy in the evening with loud music coming in from I think next door but turning up the sound on the T.V. soon drowned that out....I did love the comfortable arm-chairs in the room.
