The staff let us know they upgraded our room upon checking in which was great. Our room now came with an outdoor bath for soaking in the hot spring water. I didn’t love the way the bathroom was designed, especially for showering. The drain for the shower was in the middle of the bathroom with no border around it to stop the water from going under the sink area or close to the toilet so we ended up with a very wet bathroom floor after everyone showered. The rooms were nice and the living room had a unique design that we enjoyed.

Very unique experiencing staying at a hot spring hotel with private hot spring bath. The design of the room was of a traditional Japanese living space with tatami mat and wood floors. The hotel itself is quite old with old age wallpaper and a very simple washroom. Free shuttle from station for most of the day. Hotel booked us an early ride for us however due to our very early flight which was kind. Bit dusty and antique but overall had a great time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this clean & cosy establishment. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly and our use of the shuttle up and down the hillside to the MTR station felt like we had a chauffeur service at our fingertips.

The heated spring waters fhat is supplied to the individual baths do not carry a strong sulphur odor, but instead leaves one's skin feeling smooth and supple (due to its high lead suplhate content)

The breakfast is more for an Asian taste, but nonetheless delicious and truly reflective of genuine local Taiwanese cuisine.

The only drawback to the hotel is that it is starting to show its age and needs renovation in areas like carpets and toilet fixtures, albeit the tatami mats are still in excellent condition.

As a reflection of its historic charm, be sure to check out the print in the lobby of a watercolor and ink painting, the original of which is now stored in the National Palace Museum, showing the establishment in its original form set among the hills of Thermal Valley, The original painting was gifted to the hotel by its painter, a cousin of China's last emperor Puyi, who was so enamored by his stay.at the hotel that he took to brush.

We stayed in their premier room at a higher than usual rate as compared with other hotels nearby. It was disappointing because of the room was dusty and didn’t come with heat air conditioning.
Hopefully their management will improve the room condition if they want to continue charging at premium price.

Overall ok

There’s no lift and very tiring to climb up and down. The room needs to be sound proof as the door is very thin and some hotel guests are very noisy at night. However, the driver of the free shuttle is very friendly and helpful and the receptionist is also very nice.

Hot springs hotel

The hotel is up on a small hill among many other hot springs hotels. We have a room with a hot springs tub that white sulfur hot springs comes directly in. The people there were super nice. You call them when you get off the MRT station and they will send a car to pick you up. There is a bus stop by the hotel but is a small shuttle bus, don’t bring luggage onto the bus , there is no room for luggage. One can walk down to Beitou city centre about 10-15 minutes. Breakfast is included and it’s the Taiwanese style breakfast, no beacon nor sausages.

Property is clean and unique. Very traditional Taiwanese feel stay. It feels like we are staying at our relative house than hotel. All staff take care of our families and friends like our relatives. We traveled as a family with 2 teens and booked the family suite as it had 2 bedrooms. It met our expectations. The outdoor private bath was a lovely feature. There is also an indoor tub in the bathroom but sounds carry from the hotel’s bath next door. The living room is a tatami, it would have been nice to have options to comfortably sit together. Wifi was okay. Breakfast buffet is Taiwanese style and The hotel is uphill and difficult to find the first time. We used the free shuttle feature a few times which was a nice feature. Beitou is a really nice area and worth visiting.

Too late checking in at 5pm because there's nothing much at Beitou but staff let us checked in at 4.00pm. We stayed in private onsen.The room is clean and spacious. Simple breakfast porridge. You can call the hotel to pick you up at the Mrt station but the staff can't speak english so it's a bit difficult to communicate.
Overall, nice to try for a stay.

Location is good. Near train station at new beitou. They provide transport to and fro the nearby station which is good. Breakfast is nice too, just that the sitting area is too small to cater to all the guests. However the in built hot spring bathtub in the room is rather disappointing.

Accurate pictures. You do have your own private open area hot spring tub attached to your room! Situated in the hilly Beitou hot springs area, each room is uniquely designed to fit its location. Not boring as other one piece hotels, the multi-faceted building does not have an elevator, but the friendly hotel staff will help you to carry your heavy luggage both at check-in and check-out. And no worries about the hygiene of your hot spring tub - we happened to witness how the staff cleaned it and felt super confident of using it! :-)

This place is adorable!

Our room was cute and cozy, not huge but big enough for two people plus luggage to stay in comfortably. Our outdoor hot tub was delightful, and excellent for relaxing to get over our jet lag. Service was great overall. We had help with our luggage. At breakfast, they offered us different things until they learned what we liked. Not much in the immediate area (though we enjoyed the Puji temple and Beitou Museum), but the hotel shuttle bus to the subway station was convenient and worked like a charm.

Lovely private hot spring retreat

My fiance and I spent a quiet romantic evening at Pheonix Pavillion Hot Spring Hotel in a room with a private outdoor hot spring bath. The room had a classic Japanese feel to it and the hot spring bath was wonderful and relaxing. The room definitely felt a little old fashioned, and the bathroom looked a little worn out, but everything was spacious and comfortable. Hotel staff was incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. While most of them spoke only a little English, they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and always found someone who could translate if necessary. We had a flight early the next morning and they also arranged for the hotel shuttle to take us all the way to Beitou station at 6 AM, and arranged a huge breakfast for us to take with us as well. The hotel feels very quaint, a charming reminder of Beitou's past, and the hospitality of the staff was unbeatable. If you want a polished, modern environment look elsewhere in Taipei, but I felt so comfortable and welcomed staying here.

Old hotel that needs upgrade but friendly services

The owner (I think?) told us the hotel is about 50-60 years old so it's an older building that the city did not allow them to install an elevator...which means be prepare to walk some stairs (there are 3 floors). I strongly recommend the owner to at least upgrade ALL the carpet (or simply replace to tiles/granite) to match with the lobby/reception area because the carpet looks old and might have an odor especially when the weather is wet and humid. The room we stayed has wooden floor so that's OK. The bed is hard while the pillows are high so sleeping wasn't too comfortable. Great shuttle service (just need to make a phone call) at either the Beitou or Xinbeitou train stations, we even get a ride to the station early in the morning 7am so we could catch our plane :-)

The room was dusty. The windows right next to the bed (<30cm) had spider webs and clumps of dust. Could see that no one had cleaned it in a long time. The cupboard could not be opened. The bathtub taps were rusty or oxidized. There was only one power point next to the bed.

We choosen the cheapest room package, the room is small, facility is old, do not expect very clean.
The staff is kind and helpful this is real. Among all hot spring hotel this is cheapest, you get what you pay for.
One night stay is perfect, more than that i would suggest go to town area you can get cheaper hotel everywhere.

While the hotel looks very old and run-down, but their staff is very friendly and they provide free transport for guests. Fetching us from either Beitou or Xin Beitou to the hotel and vice versa, and the driver is only a call away. Yes, you need to call them to pick you up, usually just have to wait for 10min or so. That service alone, I believe deserved a thumbs up already.

This hotel is close to ximending exit one mrt. But the mrt only has 1 lift to take or you will have to walk the stairs. Nearby alot of food eatery. No worries cannot find things to eat. Hotel provides very good customer service. But their English is not very that good but is under acceptable.

The pluses: Very large room with tatami, huge hot sping bath on terrace of the room, free wifi, free tea and bottled water in room, free pick up and drop off shuttle to metro station. Friendly service. Check in is 5pm. We got there an hour early but they gave us our room anyway.

The minuses: Bathroom shower had no door or curtain so water got all over bathroom. No hand soap in bathroom. Breakfast is good if you like Chinese style breakfast (I do) but if you don't (my husband doesn't) only thing western you can eat is toast with vanilla flavored margarine and jam that tasted like Jello. Bed was rock hard.

This is Japanese style hotel, with futons in the room. very spacious and roomy.

But they only allow us to go outdoor steam bath ONCE though we stayed there for 2D1N.
Their reasoning was that 1 room can only have 1 booking for the outdoor bath per day, which I don't find it reasonable as others that I went to, allowed us to go unlimited times so long we stayed there.

The good part is they provide transport from metro station to the hotel and back.
And the staff was so nice to help us transport our luggage to Beitou station in evening though we checked out at noon time.

Brought my parents for their first trip to Taipei and it's my father's first experience of hot spring. They enjoyed very much.

The only 2 things that we like about the hotel are the receptionists' good and warm services, and the room private hot spring bath. I'm not quite sure but from that I saw, the hotel is kind of a family business. We were checked in by a very friendly lady at the reception and the next morning we saw her again at the little cozy restaurant serving us breakfast. We are very impressed with their friendliness, and their services. They are also very informative and will feed you with all informations about the places of attraction around the hotel during check in. They will help you with your luggages as the hotel has no lift.

The hotel is a very old hotel with no lift, therefore it's not convenient for elderly. The room that I booked for is a triple room with a private hot spring bath. We were assigned with a King Bed and a Queen Bed but the beds were extremely hard, therefore we do not find it comfortable as we are used to softer mattresses. The shower curtain that the hotel used to cover the see thru wall of the bathroom and bedroom is extremely moldy. The in-room slippers come with only one size and it barely fit my mother and myself as we are a size 39 not to say my father who is a size 43.

I went for the natural hot spring baths and it was fantastic. There weren't many restaurants nearby but it was okay. A night market was walking distance. I was able to go to 淡水，but the typhoon hit so I spent most of my time in the hotel. The free shuttle service was fantastic and they are so sweet. The breakfast was pretty nice too.

Older hot spring hotel with super-friendly staff

It's a quaint, older, hot spring hotel. Our room with two double beds came with a fridge, a small vanity, AC, and in-room hot spring hot water. It was somewhat small for 3 people with checked luggage, but the room itself was clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The shuttle is fast and courteous, otherwise it's about a 10 minute walk to the station. The only food served by the hotel is a hot Taiwanese style breakfast (Buns, congee and things to go into congee); they do not serve lunch or dinner. There are no elevators, but the staff will help you move any luggage up and down. Wi-fi internet is available and is reasonably speedy. The staff speak a little bit of English.

Hotel deserves good rating in shuttle & breakfast.

We like the fast free shuttle for the pick-up and drop-off by efficient and courteous staff. The breakfasts are well organized and served efficiently as soon as we were seated, and with good varieties. We like so much about the private pool in the open air setting for the room we booked. This hotel is located by the hillside and is in the old building partially of wood. We were aware that this hotel offers rooms of different size and types, and therefore we selected the costly one. The room itself is classical. We had enjoyable stay for using the private hot spring pool.

住宿標準房型，房內空間算大、乾凈，有對外窗，浴池有點太短，2人坐在池內階梯，無法泡到胸口，僅到下腹部，坐於池底則僅一人能伸直腳泡湯。冷氣是三洋牌，太吵了，晚上只好關掉才能入睡，天氣太熱了，清晨只好再開冷氣。

完全放鬆的旅館

內部如去到日本泡湯飯店，乳白色的溫泉♨️，讓日走兩萬步的我，泡完湯全身痠痛完全沒有，並幫助睡眠。在浴室裡洗手台有貼心防撞小鉄三角，保護旅客的安全。還協助將行李送到房間。還有接駁車從捷運站來回接送，很方便。附近離景點很近，且有好吃又價廉的拉麵、也有素食拉麵🍜。還有咖啡☕️精緻甜點店，如同走向日本溫泉區，很棒的泡湯旅店，下次還會再入住。

家族旅行

コロナの規制で食事は持ち込み素泊まり。安く泊まると思えば良し、但し駅まで1キロ以上あるので買い出しは良い運動になります。予約したプランのチェックインは5時からとなりかなり遅く、時間が余り、我が家は4時位でチェックインさせてもらいました。これは助かりました。
お風呂は部屋にあり広くくつろげましたがトイレが併設なのでトイレ使うときはビチョビチョになります。割り切れば良いかとまた泊まりたいと思いますが、今回泊まった部屋は窓無しでした。。

舒適愉快的一晚溫泉飯店

離捷運站近有接送，房間浴室比較復古的日式風格（氛圍很像）白磺泉泡起來非常舒適，床鋪枕頭也很好睡～服務人員親切禮貌又周到～下次會再去住宿的
