Absolutely loved our stay at The Shelly Beach Holiday Park! We stayed in one of the newer cabins by the pool/splash park — super clean and perfect for our family of seven.
Parking was limited to one car, but plenty of public parking by the beach gate made it easy. The long weekend activities kept everyone entertained, and the staff were so friendly and helpful!
Awesome location — cafés within walking distance (Bateau Bay Café was our fave!), Wyrrabalong Coastal Walk and Shelly Beach close by, and 3 Peppers Pizza was a hit for dinner. The kids had a blast — we’ll definitely be back!

However, The water pipes banged loudly every time someone turned on a tap in our cabin or next door. It was raining and as the Down pipes drain straight onto the ground there were deep puddles everywhere. A fish flipper would enable us to turn our fried eggs.

Much cheaper than other places, but the cabins are older, windows don't seal properly so it was quite breezy inside. Bed was awful, the mattress was caved in.

The microwave and the iron weren't working. Needed to heat up food but couldn't. The iron leaked dirty all over the clothes. We complained but the office staff didnt seem to care

The cabin was old and tired. The windows didn’t close properly and the whirlybird on the roof made a loud noise all through the night that you could hear in the upstairs bedroom. The pipes banged every time you used the taps, shower or toilet which was very inconvenient at night when the attached cabin used these. The walls were paper thin and you could hear what was happening in the attached cabin all night long. When I brought this to the attention of the park it was made out to not be a problem. No attempt to make things right. Do not recommend.

Always a lovely stay, fantastic for kids, lovely staff, the rooms are clean, the kitchen has the necessities, the facilities give hours of fun for kids. In summer there's a cafe cart, the local cafes and clubs and pubs are fantastic. Bowling club in walking distance. We've been before and will go again. Ocean cabins have views and ocean sounds, amazing. 8 mins drive from the Entrance.

The patrolled beach is a two minute walk away. Our kids loved the water park and pool. We did not like the state of the cabin. The ceiling fans did not work. There is only one small air conditioner in the double story room. This meant the bedrooms were very hot. There was mould in the air conditioner.

Location of cabins was great, very convenient close to shops and beach. Condition of property was very poor. Disgusting Air conditioning drips yellow water inside property of how dirty it was, refrigerator was terrible, stove was stained which triggered smoke alarm each time we used, stains were everywhere on light switches, door handles, dining table and floor. The lounge was by far the worst, seat cushions have sunk leaving the frame to rest on and the stain on the lounge was absolutely disgusting. They claim property was higene!! It doesn't seem it was cleaned at all they just put clean towels and bed sheets. NOT HAPPY AND NEVER AGAIN...

The property was very run down, old and the cabin we stayed in was falling apart, step on the front deck wrong and you will fall through it or step in the wrong place and u might get a nail through your foot. Considering the nightly price we were pretty dissapointed in the condition of what we stayed in. The only plus side of the place was the slide and pool that was until the pool gate got locked in the middle of the afternoon with no explanation. Overall definitely not worth the price we paid, very disappointed

We are locals to the Central Coast and booked Shelly Beach Holiday Park to get away for a few days in the school holidays. We stayed in Cabin 22 - the cabin was neat & tidy and had all the basics. There was only 3 of us (1ad & 2 kids) so plenty of room although if my husband had of come along it would have been a bit of a squeeze in the lounge room area. Fly screens also need tending to, most of them had quite large holes in them especially upstairs. The park itself is in a great location - great access to the beach, can walk to the local bowling club and shopping centre. The kids loved the water park & pool the most and we spent many hours there. It was busy during the holidays so lots of people but everyone was friendly. Our neighbours were smokers so could smell this in our cabin at times which wasn’t pleasant - but overall we had a good break. The reception staff were super friendly and welcoming. Would stay again.

Our grandchildren love the waterslide. The Beach Cabin we stayed in advertised with views, and we were in the second row, so no waterviews. The cabin needs some TLC. C20 needs new lounge. You sit on wood. The walls are paper thin but otherwise we will be back.

A few things needed to be checked before we arrived. We didn’t have a parking spot as someone else was using it. No outside lighting coming up the stairs, TV batteries dead had to swap with the air conditioning remote, blocked toilet which was annoying as we all had to use it & hoped that the toilet wouldn’t overflow, shower tap broken, had to hold it with one hand while showering.

One of the worst places we have stayed. We got there at 6pm, our room was not cleaned from previous guests so we were changed to a different room. We had paid for beach walk room and were put one row back from beach with no views. Cabin was filthy, plates in cupboard covered in food, had to wash all dishes before we used them. Floor was filthy, very run down, cockroaches, ants. Very disappointing, especially considering we paid over $200 a night. Extremely hot night, children wanted to swim about 8pm but pool all locked up.

The water slides were great, but there was no where else for the kids to play safely in the camp grounds. The cabins were clean, but not all pillows had cases and the appliances and kitchen area were very old and in poor condition. The fridge had condensation on top at all times, was freezing with ice at the back and froze our food. The oven needed something to light it, but no instructions were given for this, and the stove top needed to be lit, but no matches were provided. These things brought down the overall experience for us with minimal stuff provided for cooking and applpiances in desperate need of replacement.

The caravan park itself was run down. Pot holes and badly maintained roads within so it was hard to ride a bike / scooter. Sites were tightly packed in so it felt very crowded. Cabins were very small with old, sometimes broken furniture and appliances. Our sofa was broken, the fridge was rusty.

It is extremely close to the beach and as we were only able to stay one night this was incredible for us. A short walk and everyone was happy, we could even get our ocean fix by standing on the veranda of the cabin and gazing just over the road

My son has asthma and eczema, upon arriving at the cabin it was freezing and raining so we turned the AC on being stuck in there due to rain the dusty/mouldy conditions gave my son an asthma attack, we got a cabin to sleep 6 yet only gave us 3 “lounge” seats then the other three had to sit on plastic seats, being we went on a horrible weather weekend meant we were stuck in there, we left early and came home due to the conditions of the rooms, the bedding was horrible, no covers on the blankets, no proper exhaust in the shower let water bank up on the walls, upon check out no one acknowledged my issues, after sending two emails finally got a response and still waiting on an outcome, the park itself seems good with the pool and splash park and seems close to a lot of things however I would not go back and sleep there at all.

Perfect Self Contained Cabin, even though the weather wasnt the best the kids had a ball in the new Water park inside the Caravan park.
It was Quiet and a short stroll to the beach and cafe that served lovely large brekkies a bit further up.

Close to the Beach!
Stayed in the cabins, the night before my wedding with my three groomsman. We were having the wedding at Shelley Beach Golf Club. Very convenient location to the Beach, Cafe's and only a 5 minute drive away from Bateau Bay Square. The staff were polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

We turned up at our cabin to find a couple doing something very illegal and then found bones from their steaks thrown all over our path to our front door. We felt extremely uncomfortable from the moment we pulled up as we had small children and decided not to stay the night. Not happy with this place at all.
