These guys need to understand that they are a hospitality venue. “Is a ground floor room available?” .. “no, that’s all I’ve got” … a room Theo obviously churn for single night stays, crappy mattress, tired linen, blinds hanging off that wouldn’t close. I take it or leave it attitude. I claimed to have a restaurant but it was closed. I had to press the bell three times for the attendant to arrive if you are okay for tired DOS house this is the motel for you.

Room was a good size as was the bathroom and the shower was great. However the stay was let down by the bed which was too soft and clearly past it's best. On the upside though, having access to the on-site Thai restaurant was a bonus.

When we got there i went to use the toilet and the seat slid off as it wasnt even attatched and ive hurt my arm badly as i had to try to stop myself from falling but it didnt help, the dishes were filthy so we had to purchase takeaway as we were a bit worried we were going to get sick, the stove top had fat and grease all over it, dried food on the dining table, totally flat batteries in the tv remote, and no spa like the photos showed, said it had wifi but it didnt, and said it had a phone to use to call reception but it didnt

Overall the room was quiet and comfortable, however there are a few issues worth addressing. There was a mouse in our room, when we had no open food out, suggesting it hadn't been well cleaned and maintained. The door of the cupboard below the sink was falling off. The handle was falling off the wardrobe. The front door was difficult for my elderly mother to open from the inside, which might have been an issue if I wasn't around and there was an emergency. And the blinds next to the door couldn't be opened.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this property! While it was a little dated it was very clean and comfy. We particularly picked this motel for dog friendly as we needed to bring our 2 border collies with us this time. There were approximately 12 dogs staying with owners tis particular weekend as the Royal Canberra Dog Show was on. The feedback we got from talking to the dog owners was how great this place was and we couldn't agree more. Both we and our 2 dogs were very comfy here, beds were pretty good and the shower was probably the best that I have anywhere including 5 star. The owners took great pride in providing a great service and I would not hesitate to book here again. Thank you very much for a very positive stay, you deserve a great review

The building is fine and the people seemed nice, making this hotel similar to others like it in Queanbeyan. The little restaurant served a decent and reasonably-priced breakfast. However, in a 3-night stay we had no room service at all - the bins weren't even emptied in that time, and eventually we had to ask for some more toilet paper. The bathroom didn't seem to have been cleaned before our arrival, and we had to remove a dirty bath mat and rinse the bathtub before taking a shower. The fridge needed defrosting and the ice was becoming brown. These aren't huge problems but they were disappointing, and generally we'd expect more from similar hotels.

Our room was very clean and had crockery, cutlery provided for two. Also there was a toaster, kettle and a toaster provided. We had an automatic checkin just accessing our room with a code so never had to go to reception. The room was dated and in need of Reno but as I say it was very clean. There was a Thai restaurant on site and my meal was excellent. If you want to dinner at other eateries, they were only a 2 min walk away. Thanks

I am not sure what to write about this property really. I know we were a little disappointed after having read previous reviews. The room certainly didn’t look like the picture of the one I booked. We did receive a warm welcome. Parking was easy, wifi good, bed comfortable and water hot. It was good to have a little table with chairs, microwave and a toaster so, in that respect, the hotel was fine. Probably fine for the price. I think it is just a little tired and needs a bit of TLC.

Use of disgusting language, ranting and raving, yelling about drugs, crying until around 1 a.m. It got so bad we decided to call the hotel’s after hours number in the compendium. It was the wrong number listed! Thank goodness the person either passed out or fell asleep and we could finally get some rest.

Reception was closed in the morning so we reported the incident later in the afternoon. The receptionist was VERY apologetic and gave us the correct mobile to ring if it happened again. Thank goodness it didn’t on our second night. We probably wouldn’t stay again but as a cheaper place to stop it would be okay for a night or two.
