When i booked online to stay at Canberra ave villas there were pictures of beautiful little inviting cottages.
When we got there we were put in the “studio” upon arrival you have to go past all the cottages through a colorbond gate beside reception thats as inviting as entering a prison as you feel like you are entering someone else’s property. There were cigarette butts and a tin used as an ash tray on the ground beside the door which leads you into what we referred to as the broom cupboard it was like we had just been shoved in a spare room out the back.
The blind in the bedroom is broken and tied up with string allowing anyone out side to see in when getting changed in the bedroom if the light is on.
Speaking of light there are spotlights that light up the Canberra ave villas sign right outside the front door that stay on all night and light up the room.

Conveniently close to Warragal to visit a relative. Would have preferred not to have a large step to get into cabin 15 & the shower as I'm 72 & hubby is 80. Sliding door on the bathroom was also very hard to slide but clean, comfy, quiet & fresh. I did struggle with the key system but won out in the end but that was my age-related problem. Overall, we will be back next visit to Queanbeyan.

Later found that we only had access to a few tv channels, menu on remote would not work to allow us to tune other channels in. Reported at 9.30 Saturday morning, when returned back to villa at 7.00pm we had not received any help, issue was just ignored. Bathroom needed tiles etc grouting badly. Initial booking had to be cancelled due to illness, property provided credit but when rebooked cost an extra $60 for 2 nights. Internet access good. With a few changes could be a good place to stay. No staff on site

We have stayed in Canberra Villas quite a few times. We are always in the front villas on the road side The villas are great. However, they are looking a bit tired. the blue paint over the bed is chipped, carpet needs replacing. Kitchen & bathroom areas are great. The villas are clean but as I said are looking worn.

This is my 4th time staying here, only complaint this time in the bath door needs fixing. It comes off the sliding rail every time it is closed. Also lock on front door is a little hard to lock.

Comfortable, well appointed villa in reasonably good condition. We were pleased with the size of the unit, fully equipped kitchenette (including full size fridge), and efficient air conditioner. It was on quite a busy road where traffic started at 6am but we were early risers. When I checked in, a gentleman was checking in at
the same time and our keys dropped from the Keysafe at the same time so we weren’t sure whose was whose. When I sent a message to the accommodation to alert them to this, the reply I received related to how to access the free WiFi!

I can see there is love and care here - from the way the towels are presented on the bed, to the different coloured doors, to the plants like roses and geraniums outside each villa. I also really liked parking almost outside my door, rather than at a huge hotel where I need to do multiple trips in the lift with my bags to the room.

We stayed in the Studio, I felt unsafe as this space was attached to a house with a connecting door with no chain, it was locked from the other side, nothing stopping them from walking into our space, half of the the vertical blinds are missing so everyone could see you going to the bathroom from the bedroom and they had a huge floodlight beaming through the window, because the floor was uneven we couldn’t close sliding doors on the wardrobe and side table drawer wouldn’t shut and the bedside lamp didn’t have power to it. Please don’t stay at this place it’s horrible. On a positive it was clean.

The property itself from the outside looks great , inside very outdated. Staff were excellent. No one tells you until you are nearly there that the property is NOT manned. I didn’t appreciate turning up and receiving my key via a bloody mechanical box.

Maybe we m being too critical on some things but we ended up checking out a day early. The main issue was the mattress which was super saggy. In my opinion it was suitable for slapstick comedy rather than sleeping - It collapsed almost comically when I sat on it. There were other issues with the room but nothing makes a room seem cheap and nasty as a rubbish bed. The linen on the bed seemed clean but the towels were a dark color which didn’t inspire confidence given the state of the bed and the carpet which looked dirty. The remote for the TV didn’t work properly even after the batteries were changed. One of the glasses was cracked, the dining table only had two chairs for a four person room, one of the bedside table lamps was missing a globe. On of the teaspoons had some unidentified black goo on the handle.
