I am a US business traveller. Stayed 70 nights last year. Not typically staying abroad so use that as context.

This hotel is in a college/university area. It seems like there may be some short term living here in addition to hotel overnight stays. The common area is very large and has multiple places that you can work from. The rooms are set up like apartments with kitchenettes, living area, bedroom, bathroom area. There is no central heating or cooling so if you are used to air-conditioning, this wouldn’t be your choice. I was there for three nights and they didn’t service the room while there. The area is safe and centrally located, and the rooms were quiet at night time.

The rooms are very spacious and the kitchen was clean. The down side would be the bathroom/shower; they leak terribly and there is no way to keep the heat in due to the doors not sliding closed all the way. The rooms are not soundproofed and the hotel does not enforce quiet hours, we chose to stay outside the city so that we would be able to sleep and that was not the case. There was a party on the floor above that lasted until 5 in the morning, the staff was notified on multiple occasions and still nothing was done. The staff also does not respond to any type of messaging not on the website or through email. The hotel is nice and the gym had lots of cool equipment with restrooms. There is also a computer lab with two desktops and two arcade style games which were super cute.

Don’t sleep on the sofa bed!

A great facility but lacked some basics like cutlery and glasses in the communal area and rooms. The ‘queen’ sofa bed was the worst I’ve ever slept on. Doesn’t lie flat at either end so more like sleeping in a hammock/banana. Awful. Twin beds I believe were comfy.

They cheated us and there is not enough communication with anyone. We booked there and went there to check in it’s was so dirty and smelly room. We asked the receptionist to change the room but he couldn’t speak English or help us to communicate with the hotel management. We booked through Expedia which I tried to contact and explain my situation that I’m standing with my 3 kids and the room is smoke smelly. They said they will help but never turn back to me. I wrote a letter and check out straight away. I hoped Expedia will sort it out for me which they didn’t. So I booked another hotel room and I never get my refund back.

Very nice hotel, nice area, comfortable bed and living area. Only thing I would say is I was on the ground floor and the building appears to have radiant floor heat with no thermostat control in room. My room was very warm, I would guess about 80 deg F and I ended up opening the window and keeping it open all night even though it was about 25 deg F outside.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past three years, mainly because of its convenient location and the good parking facilities.

The room we are usually allocated is classified “deluxe studio”. It is not possible to see why the word “deluxe” is applied, since there is no element of luxury, or even comfort. For example, the bed is set against the wall on one side, which makes getting in and out of it for the person taking the wall side rather uncomfortable.

However, the poorest feature in this hotel is the lack of adequate quantities of breakfast items. On day one, main items such as scrambled eggs and sausages were finished when we arrived 45 minutes before the end of serving and on the second day, already one hour before the end if service.

A comfortable stay, but not perfect

The aparthotel was very cosy and welcoming, even though we arrived at night. Parking underneath the hotel was free, secure and well lit with direct lift access up to the rooms, which was handy for moving luggage. Our 3 bedroom apartment was spacious and reasonably clean, however it was very dimly lit (just not enough lights) and the shower cubicle was missing a door panel (presumably broken but not fixed) rendering it unusable. Thankfully there was also a bath with overhead shower that we used instead. We found the apartment quite cool and couldn't work out how to turn the (underfloor?) heating on. The road noise was quite loud, so had we needed a window open it would have been difficult to sleep. Beware the mattresses are rock hard! We found the location good for using the RER A to get into central Paris each day, with Cergy Prefecture only a 15 minute walk away and trains every 20 minutes with tickets €5 adult one way.

They did not come and clean up the rooms, they said every seven days they would come and clean up the place, they did not provide us towels during our time staying there. And they did not refill the shampoo and body wash for shower, their did not refill our paper towel for drying the hands. The breakfast was very poor and was not worth it for 12 euros. They had rugs everywhere around the hotel and some of them were wrinkled/folded and my friend carrying the breakfasts fell down because of that, the mug broke and cut her foot which then started to bleed. No one offered or provided any medical assistance they only handed a first aid kit to do it herself, our friend that is a doctor came to help

The room I got was nice and specious that is what i like, however there was no hairdryer in that room. They did not empty the garbage while 4 days I was there. We did not get paper toilet. And the receptionists were very rude and not helpful at all. I had been in this Hotel before they change the name of the hotel there was air conditioner, however this time looks like they have disconnected them.

The two-bedroom apartment was spacious and the living areas also. We really appreciated the extra space and free underground parking. There was a fully equipped kitchen and it is only a short 10 minute walk to the harbour for restaurant and drinking options.

However, the construction or design of the building has the reception area trapping the heat feeling more like a sauna and stifled air. When in the apartment, the room facing the inward part was very hot and uncomfortable to sleep in that room. Furthermore, breakfast was a mess, with selected offerings, but often items were slow to be replenished.

Cowool is a cool place for a family to stay. It is unique, the room layouts work well. There could be more attention to detail - our hotplate did not work, the bathroom lights switched each other off, there is too much ambient light that passes through the interior facing bedroom window.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past year. This was the first time we were disappointed with the comfort of the room: It was a narrow corridor, leading to a tight area where the bed was situated. The room was very dark. There was no kettle in the kitchenette, but one was provided by the reception on request.
A common negative remains the breakfast. Some one hour before breakfast stops being served, several of the items are finished without being replenished. This makes the additional amount for the breakfast a poor value for money. Unless one is an early riser, going for breakfast before 9 am during the weekend.

Negatives: definitely not a 4 star hotel, rooms have some imperfections and they would need some upgrades to meet expectations. The breakfast has a limited range of selection (I was surprised after reading other reviews which claimed the breakfast was great), although it might fulfill expectations for occasional travelers. During our stay the bar was closed and there was no option to purchase food or drinks (except through two vending machines with pre-made food)
Positives: rooms were spacious, the hotel was clean, staff was nice and there were little to no issues. Parking was easily accessible and transferring luggage to our rooms was convenient through a nearby elevator (parking was for free during our entire stay).

Good hotel but can do better

This was a family trip, and I had booked 2 double rooms. On arrival, we checked the rooms but the temperature was too high. The receptionists and mostly AB was great and listened to our concern by changing our rooms. So, great customer service!
The hotel has a great atmosphere and quite modern.
The only negative point was related to the breakfast and it’s quality. When arriving for breakfast on the two mornings there was no scrambled egg left and had to require to prepare some more. There was only 2 small croissant left and here again had to ask the staff for some more. There was only 1 yogurt left, so no choice. Staff at the reception need to be more proactive and prepare ahead. I travelled by car and their parking is safe and accessible via a lift. The area is quiet and inside the room is of good quality. Overall, I would definitely return to this hotel for my next stay. But please do something about the rooms temperature and the breakfast quality.

I reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights here, one for me and one for my Colleague, and this hotel charged both to my credit card so effectively i paid for my colleagues room as well as my own. It took a long time to sort this at the reception desk when checking out as no-one seems to know what they are doing. On another note - do not book breakfast here - it is awful. Hardly anything on offer and what is there is very poor quality. not the hotel it used to be since it changed ownership.

The hotel is undergoing a major renovation. It's a construction site complete with the noise and dust. The ground floor/reception area is mostly walled-off. The eating area is penned in.

The breakfast is substandard from where it was four years ago. We had a choice of tepid scrambled eggs, cold sausage, and cereals. We waited 5-minutes for crepes from an automatic machine that produced pancakes instead. The bread and pastries were outstanding.

The heat in the rooms is unbearable and the staff at the reception were aware of the issue. They can not control the temperature in the rooms as it is apparently globally controlled. The knob in the room are uselless. We had to leave the windows wide open to reduce the heat coming from the floor and be able to get a coupe of hours sleep. The hotel should be closed and repaired.
They should have taken the steps to relocate the customers to different hotels, as they are clearly aware of the issue. Do not stay in this hotel unless you want to be baked alive and barely sleep in the night!!

I had booked a room for 4 guests .
We attending a wedding in the area and arrival to the hotel was around 3am.
Our unit, supposed to sleep 4 had a sofa bed but unmade. Only 2 towels.
Very tired, we had to go back to the reception and wait for a big bag full of linen for the sofa.
As they did not have any staff at this time, we had to make our bed!!!
Regarding the breakfast, we had been told till 11 am. 10.40am they actually packed all the food away.
2 coffee machines not sufficient for the number of guests. On top of that, one was out of order which meant the queue was very long.
Very disappointed experience. 😕😕

A basic hotel in an OK town

Unremarkable property with basic amenities.
A decor that was modern 30 years ago, but looks rather odd these days. Bathrooms have been remodeled, but other than that things look dated.
The room appeared clean, but the floor was sticky in a few places.
The breakfast was good, but that's about the only bright spot.
Hotel staff was busy and looked tired, although some were very friendly and accommodating.

A quick overnight stop en route cycling to Paris from Dieppe. Surprised at how nice it was for the cost, very cyclist friendly - plenty of room for the bikes in the room.
Sliding doors split the room into separate bedrooms as well as kitchenette and bathroom. Good breakfast included in the price. Clean, spacious, modern, comfortable.

OK, but nothing to write home about!

This place is ok but the rooms are looking a little tired. The layout is somewhat weird and in addition everything is miniaturised, even the loo! To maximise space, everything is a little smaller than you would get in the average hotel room. The bed was confortable but again smaller than average, so if you move about alot in the night your liable to fall out. In my opinion its on a par with the IBIS Budget hotels dotted around France but of course they are cheaper. The staff were friendly enough and they do have free parking. All in all probably wouldnt stay here again unless there was nowhere else to go.

We occupied the 2 bedroom apartment with my wife and two children. One aged 14 and a 10 year old. We stayed 5 nights in total, our ferry was departing quite late in the night back to the UK. So I asked the hotel lady manager if i could check out later in ghe day as we had the whole day to kill. To my amazement she offered us the apartment until almost 8pm. My wife and I could not believe the generous gesture and it really helped us out big time! We were so grateful!!

Wow! Not what I expected

This hotel does not meet the expectations one would have based on ratings and previous reviews. The Wifi did not work properly. You smell the cooking smells from other rooms (fish, garlic, and curry). People are smoking in their rooms and the staff acts like they cannot smell it. I am sitting on my bed in the Novotel down the street right now where I moved to from the Olivarius. Although the room's square footage is less, 30% of your room is not a hallway, so appears more spacious. Not appropriate for a business traveler.

good night sleep + lovely breakfast @ great price

We had a 1 night stay at Olivarius Cergy Apart'Hotels before we leaving Paris. The hotel is easily accessible especially we are driving. The pictures at Hotel.com were accurate. The 2 bedroom apartment we stay Austrialia was very nice, with full facility if ever want to cook. The hotel minigrocery was reasonably price. Breakfast in the morning was comprehensive, can request fried eggs if fancy. 12 pm check out was handly, city tax of 2.09 euro was similar as Paris city center. Olivarius Cergy Apart'Hotels offered us a good night sleep with lovely breakfast at reasonble price, much less than what we paid near louvre Paris. Will stay again.

Nice place to stay

Nice, clean hotel, and a great breakfast. Nice area located within walking distance of restaurants and a shopping mall. Plenty of parking and fast free wi-fi. Next time I'm in the area I will stay there again.

A way from crowded area

first of all the hotel address is not recognized by GPS, had hard time finding the hotel. once you know the location it is accessible, best thing offer free parking and nice breakfast.

Excellent hotel. Great location and breakfast

Excellent hotel. Except for the toilet which is pretty cramped rest of room is very spacious. Great design you have a oven electric hob and grill too if u want to make your own food. Very friendly staff. We were in a car so for us the location was fantastic. Nice quite area. Nice park and supermarket nearby. Steady 40 min drive into Paris. The breakfast was great and free secure parking too. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks

Nice and spacious room, lovely Cergy neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay very much, in fact, we returned for another night when our plans changed. The family room size was by far larger than any other hotel we've stayed in. It really was more like an apartment. The room layout is completely novel with two separate sleeping areas, which was really nice. Beds were comfortable, good breakfast, and free garage parking. We really liked the Cergy port area that was down the hill and a couple blocks over, lots of restaurants and a lovely atmosphere (its very popular and parking was impossible, so my husband drove back and parked at the hotel and walked). The only drawback was during the first night when our room was close to the desk and the phone rang until late late night. The second night we had a different room and it was not a problem. The desk clerks were great and spoke English. Overall a very nice stay.

Practical contemporary convenience

Loved this hotel - contemporary decor is very cute. Liked the layout of the room. Good breakfast, especially for free. The WC vent didn't work well - only issue.
