Charming hotel in Auvers-sur-Oise
The Hotel Iris is a lovely little hotel in the center of Auvers-sur-Oise. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and very clean. The service is very friendly and the optional breakfast is nice. The price is reasonable and the location is perfect - in the heart of all the main sights. There are a few small quirks. One is that there is no one at the reception in the afternoon and evening, so you need a code to enter by a side door and to then find your room. Once we got the instructions it was fairly simple, but it took a phone call to figure out. The other quirk is that the water temperature in the shower is set to a fixed temperature. The water was warm, but not hot. It was fine for our purposes for a one night stay, but I was glad we weren’t there during cold weather.

Loved the room, as advertised, AC was welcoming as the day was a warm one, very close to sites to see, no real interaction with staff because left early for the airport, will return again, but next time on a wed through sun, as most things are closed Mon and Tues.

One one afternoon, a huge bug was crawling across my bed. To make matters worse, because reception closes around 12?, no one was around while I was screaming for assistance. Furthermore, I emailed management and they never even responded.

We stayed 2 days and everything was perfect. The initial Welcome was wonderful - very warm and friendly. We were upgraded to a larger room at no extra cost “to allow more space for the dog”. Everything was super clean. Our room was off a small and lovely courtyard garden, very calm. Generous Continental breakfast with fresh fruits plus choice of eggs if wanted. We will return.

The staff were kind, gracious and very accommodating. The property was charming, used to be the old post office where Ban Gogh sent his letters to Theo his brother while living in Auvers. The room was large and beautiful and it was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in.

This inn is a real gem! The décor marries modern comfort with old world French village charm. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The train station is 5 minutes away and all of the sites are walkable. We had 2 delicious meals just steps away. The breakfast was fantastic and very generous. They were are also kind enough to hold our bags as we arrived early and asked to leave them beyond check out time. I highly recommend!

I travel extensively throughout the world and the Hotel Iris is so special! This week was my first time to visit Auvers sur Oise, and as soon as I arrived and checked in at Hotel Iris I felt welcomed and very comfortable. My room was very large, spotlessly clean, and rather luxurious. It was the kind of room I never wanted to leave…very soft linens, plush towels, great lighting, excellent bath accessories. Yet then I stepped out and was completely amazed that it was directly across the street from the RAVOUX INN, which is where Vincent van Gogh lived and died. I was thrilled and amazed! In fact, the Iris Hotel is ideally located in the heart of all the lovey town so you can’t beat it! The staff was so kind, patient, and nice! The hotel even has electric bicycles you can use for free! I am already dreaming about the next time I can return to this fantastic hotel!

Short stay in Auvers sur Oise
We were travelling down to Italy and wanted to break our journey up. Auvers-sur-Oise is 4.5 hours from Calais so for us it makes a good stopover, it's also a lovely quite village that is very famous for it's Vincent Van Gogh connection.
We were given room 12 which is in a new extension at the back of the hotel. Very nice room, very comfortable bed, excellent shower and with very cold aircon (it was 35deg when we were there).
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, gave us a nice cool elderberry drink and madeleine cake on arrival. I thought that was a nice touch as it's something you don't get from a large hotel chain.
Had some trouble with the WiFi but they gave us another network to use.
Hotel has a nice little courtyard at the back, no bar and doesn't offer dinner (we ate dinner at Auvers de Vin which was very close and very nice). Very centrally located and free parking was easy to find at the back of the hotel.

Clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet, kind staff, free and unlimited parking right in front of the hotel, very good neighbourhood, good bike storage options. A short and easy drive to Paris, as well as close to the train station. And they are good at searching when you lose something ;-)

A nice hotel in the centre of Auvers-sur-Oise, just across the famous Auberge Ravoux. Checking in was a bit of a challenge, because there was no staff in the afternoon (16:00). Via phone (a french-only speaking lady) we got a digital code to open the side entrance. After that the stay was great. Little setback were the non-mentioned substantial extra costs for the extra bed in the room.

Nuitée pour le travail, hôtel très agréable et relativement calme. Un double porte isolerait un peu plus les bruits des personnes qui parlent fort... sinon RAS, très bon rapport qualité prix.
