On arrival to the guest house there was a nice 'welcome' laid out on the bed with flowers and decorative towels.
On arrival the shower was dirty with hairs from the previous guest left on the tiles, floor tiles stained as the shower has a drainage issue, and the shower pressure is extremely low when set to warm, I would describe it as a drizzle of water.
The toilet was also poorly cleaned on arrival, and stained.
The two decorative bath towels on display for arrival were unfortunately the only bath towels provided for the first 3 nights of the stay, with the exception of a single hand towel in the bathroom. Nobody attended to clean the room, change the bath towels or bedding for the first 3 nights and when they did, it was only after us raising this as unsatisfactory. This was also the case with the bath mat as no spares were provided in the room.
When staff did arrive to clean the room they did not empty the kitchen bin or bathroom bin, we did this ourselves when we realised after they left.
Staff were reluctant to provide extra towels or to change the room towels daily.
Amenities provided were minimal - x2 small bars of soap for the bathroom, x2 toothbrushes but no toothpaste / miniature shower gel etc.
Tea bags were provided but no sugar or milk etc.
The pool was uncleaned with debris floating in it on several days of the stay. This included fallen leaves as well as deflated pool inflatables which appeared to have been there for some time.
AC was the best thing
