Unless you pay for the expensive package, you need to be very mobile. All bathrooms in the reasonable rate category come with bathtubs only. There are no grab bars or anything for support. The walls have signs of humidity decay. The pool meant for everyone's use is very small considering. We paid to upgrade because of this. The website says the beach is close. Its not. Its a 35 minute walk. We paid for an all inclusive package. The kitchen had major issues. They tried hard but left things lacking. Also, be ready for a wakeup at 4 am or so bc this hotel seems to be right next to a speaker for the call to prayers. The spa is very nice. The beds are outrageously hard. We used the cushions from the patio furniture to help as the hotel had no way to fix this issue.

The location is good close to Senggigi Beach and other popular beaches. The restaurant and breakfast are good.
But the condition of the property is below what I was expecting. The lights in the room half working, the sliding window to the private pool not fully closing letting bugs come through, the plugs in the room half way screwed into the walls, the walls showing signs of humidity everywhere.... A bit of repairs needed for this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Svarga Resort Lombok. The room was very spacious and the view was absolutely amazing, definitely a highlight of the property. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always helpful, which made our stay very pleasant.
That said, the property and facilities could use some refreshment as they feel a bit dated. The food at the restaurant was okay, but not as impressive compared to other hotel restaurants in the area.
Overall, it was a good stay thanks to the beautiful views and the wonderful staff. With some updates to the facilities and restaurant, this resort could be truly outstanding.

I arrived after their announced time of check in , 2pm but still room was not ready until 2:45pm
Stayed two nights, we had to call maintenance several times to come and clear the clogged sink , several calls , required them two visits to do it, once daily , but didn't clear it enough.
The tv is away of the bed (suit room) in living room which has no air-conditioning making it impossible to watch tv .
We double check at reception if the room has a safety box they replied of course but unfortunately not available in the room so we had to call again for it, they provided one but not secured on wall or floor (portable) safety box which anyone can basically carry it out of my room.
Shower water was very low, another call to fix it , they just opened the shower pipe and clean it to be strong water again, made me wondering why not cleaning it without guest complain, it so obvious that a routine house keeper can notice it.
They said free parking for motorcycle at the hotel's parking lot but have me signed a paper saying they are not responsible of anything happening or lost of motorcycle although the have security guards and CCTV .
The public swimming pool is too narrow almost 3 meters, I didn't see anyone swimming .

I recently stayed at Svarga and had a wonderful experience overall! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making check-in a breeze. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and great amenities. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby.

However, I did notice that the toilet bidet hose in my room could use some extra cleaning attention. It’s a small detail, but keeping everything pristine enhances the overall guest experience.

Despite this, I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing stay. I’ll certainly be back!

My 2 teenagers & myself enjoyed our stay in Svarga Hotel. It’s a big hotel spread out over some inclines, which needed several steps to get around the different areas of the hotel. The views from the restaurant where we had our breakfast were spectacular. Excellent breakfast with a good mix of local & western cuisine. However I would advise to go early for dinner, as we went around 2210 and we were told no further orders could be taken as the restaurant ran out of ingredients! The last orders at the restaurant was supposed to be at 2230 and unfortunately there was no room service at night.

Location is good - easy to get around, the hotel arranged Bluebird Taxis which used meter and much cheaper than Grab for areas around Senggi. There was an excellent Express Laundry 10 minutes walk away who picked up laundry and delivered at the time you wanted.

To plan local trips around, the hotel recommended Mr Ibrahim - who live nearby and would come to the hotel to show you options. He was very good, and also open to negotiating the price.

The hotel gardens were beautiful and well maintained, but the hotel itself did look a little tired and could do with a ‘facelift’ However except for this issue, everything else made our overall experience good.

- staff mostly tried their best, were polite and apologetic.
- lots of options for breakfast
- they moved our room
- new loft smells amazing, honestly this was our best compliment we could offer.

Bad things;
- didn’t receive a welcome drink as advertised.
- restaurant is supposed to be open all day but when we arrived at 12:15, no one was around for 45 minutes, and we didn’t get food until 13:45.
- we expected bugs, but our room was FULL of ants, three nests. They moved us, but the other room was just as bad.
- we had no water in our new room for a FULL DAY. we called reception many times but they just kept telling us it was maintenance. We weren’t informed of this and were offered no compensation. We couldn’t shower, use the sink or flush the toilet from 8am until 8pm. We called AGAIN at around 2pm and they said it would be fixed in 10 minutes. Eventually at around 8pm they sent someone to fix the problem in our room. The next morning the water was pouring out black.
- every time we used the restaurant, they didn’t know what they had on their own menu. Everything we ordered they said ok and then would call back and say it’s unavailable. But then they would change their minds. It was very confusing and took a very long time. We often had to wait an hour just to get food.

Supposed to be a four star hotel, but did not live up to standard.

We chose the Svarga Hotel for its stunning architecture! Beautiful design and interior as expected. Our stay here was overall enjoyable, the staff are super helpful and friendly. However, we did come when the lift was in maintenance so it was a bit of a hike to our room. I also wish that they can improve on maintaining the structures (rooftop area etc.) and facilities a bit better as the hotel is very beautiful. the breakfast is nice too. Thank you Svarga Hotel!

Unfortunately we found the room very sparse and uncomfortable - no place to relax unless you sat on the bed. The pool was uninviting as you are right by the restaurant - no umbrellas. Grounds did not provide any areas to relax in. On top of that the nearby mosque would broadcast loudly {chants} several times a day ! We left two days early sacrificing our money as it was that uncomfortable. Staff were friendly but that did not make up for for the rest !

Beautiful hotel but in need of refreshing

Svarga Lombok is perched on the side of a mountain. It is a beautiful property. Unfortunately, upon closer look, the rooms are in quite a bad shape and in need of serious renovation. There was water damage on walls, ceilings, and floor tiles. The wooden furniture looked weathered. Fortunately, the staff was friendly and always ready to cater to our needs. A plus point of the rooms, they were clean, airy, and bright. Now on to our ordeal during our 1-night stay. We were initially given a Varda Suite (without private pool). However, the ceiling next to a sliding door started to leak when it rained on that day. We called to inform the receptionist and were immediately upgraded free of charge to a Varda Suite with a pool. The room was huge with open, non-AC living room and kitchen. Anyway, our elation was shortlived. That evening, we found the open area was swarmed with flying termites. Although they did not bite, they were a nuisance when we were in the living room. We ended up hiding in our room for the rest of the evening. We had informed and written in to the management in hope that they would rectify this issue in the near future.

Let me first say that we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. However, there were a few issues which may bother some more than me. 1) The a/c in our room was under-powered and the room was an oven in the heat of the afternoon (mainly due to the huge western-facing window), 2) The call button for the one and only elevator never worked during our stay. So, we had to walk the 169 steps up to our room every time. The management seemed to be in denial about the problem, and there were no signs notifying guests about the outage. And 3) I found it interesting that the eggs Benedict weren't served on an English muffin and didn't have Hollandaise sauce... Without the English muffin and hollandaise sauce, isn't that just poached egg on toast?

Beautiful hotel! We were greeted very warmly by the staff once we arrived. Our room was not ready yet, but we went to the spa for a free five-minute welcome massage, then walked around the hotel a bit. There are many steps (even when using the lift) so be warned for those who are not able to climb a lot of stairs.

From the restaurant there is a great view of treetops and a bit of the sea. It is nice to watch the sunset from here. The breakfast was really good, personally I liked the lontong.

The room was nice and clean. However, new towels were only available after 5pm.

Would recommend.

Beautful Zen-like Resort

Svarga apparently means heaven, and this resort has not been misnamed. Out room in this new resort was spacious and clean. The design of the bathroom is such that it is opened to the sky outside but still offers privacy. We had dinner at the resorts restaurant and found menu varied, food great, and not pricey. The buffet breakfast was also good. WiFi in our room was good: 4 bars. Staff was friendly and helpful.

To get to our room, we needed to take a small flight of steps to the elevator then once we get to our floor, we have to climb up and then climb down again.

Love the layout design... only issue... might wanna consider revising the breakfast hours to 6... as most go out on tours around 7 -8 n your restaurant operate only at 7... literally.. only take order at 7 .. food out about 15 mins later...

Second time at Svarga!

It was love at first sight for me. Love the friendly staff, the delicious food at the cafe, the spa, basically everything about the hotel. However, might need to try to maintain the furniture in the room. My bed was making so much noise, it was difficult for us to sleep. My husband end up sleeping on the floor cause the baby kept on waking up as he move around, otherwise love everything about the resort!

Overall experience was okay. Food at the restaurant was good and priced reasonably. Booked the room with the private pool - room was huge with bedroom and living room with TV. Cleanliness of the room can be improved. Many lizards inside and outside of room. Hotel's swimming pool closes at 7pm which was a bit early compared to hotel standards and there was nothing much to do around the hotel. If you want to go to the city centre of Senggigi, you probably have to take a taxi or rent a motorbike from the hotel. Hotel provides free sunset tour at 5pm.

With the price and positive reviews, we have quite high expectation for our stay.
The resort is beautiful but it was not well-maintained.
We booked a Mavwa room and we were very disappointed with the cleanliness (we doubted if we should take off our shoes the moment we walked into our room) and there were obvious spots on towel and bedsheet. (And even on the couch at the lobby!!) We called the reception and were glad they attended to the matter promptly.
That said, the staff are very helpful, location is good (but do note that the nearest shops and restaurants are about 2km away), and checking in and out was a breeze.

A Non-Typical & Halal Lombok Hotel/Resort

While most of the other hotels or resorts are beside the sea, Svarga is one of those unique hotels that brings you away from that very expectation and at the same time offering you a different beauty that Lombok promises - the vast forest and oh-so-beautiful mountains.

I stayed in the Adna Garden Suite, and I must say that sometimes I don't feel like I am in Lombok. The infrastructure and façade of the hotel makes me feel that somehow I am in Santorini, Greece but minus the view of course. In absence of that, I always loved breakfast as we are treated to the view of the treetops and mountains,

Artistically designed to flow with the lanscape

This is a lovely resort. The grounds are big and spacious and although it looks like they have many rooms/suites there is only 25 of them. So there is an element of staff getting you know you by your names etc.

We enjoyed breakfast which was served fresh and there is a good variety available. The restaurant menu was fine and reasonably priced.

The resort is spacious, located within a hill and beautifully designed however this does mean that there are lots of steps so any elderly couple may wish to stay in the lower numbered rooms.There is a lift to the restaurant on the 2nd floor, but lots of steps to negotiate before you get there (ofcourse room service is also available).

The pools are a decent size and you have complete privacy. In the Adna rooms the pools are shaded by tall palm tress and in the Varda suite the pools are open to the Sun.

The resort has a free one-way shuttle which runs twice daily to the local tourist town Sengigi.

Property is alright but service is poor

The breakfast staffs were excellent. They were very professional, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. However, the receptionists were a great disappointment. They were not at all professional, they went into a daze when there wasn't anything much to do. And when I tried calling them twice to ask for a porter, no one picked up the phone. While checking out, I realise that the phone doesn't have a ringer, it just blinks. When asked, she said she was round the back doing accounting. Wonder how she would know there is a call when the phone doesn't even ring, and she is out the back.

Lifetime experience in Svarga, lombok

The best experience ever of my life. Me and my wife enjoyed it to the core. I will definitely be visiting the place again with same hotel and the same room. Great stay. Did not disappointed. Everyday is likr paradise in Lombok. Great view that will leave you in awe. We stayed ar Vanda villa - 2 bedded for the family with a private pool and a kitchen. Lovely views all around. Clean and comfortable stay. Breakfast area was just steps away yet we are enclosed in a private walkway to our villa. The higher floor you are the better the view. If you are taking a single bedded with no pool the environment should be just as relaxing but if you can get the family villa and above category then the view is simply stunning.
Quite far from Kuta beach though but we came from Gili island so was a half an hour drive from the private jetty which suit us well

The staff were very helpful and the location is just outside Sengigi offering a peaceful haven from the sound of traffic. Truly wonderful space to relax and shed baggage from busy London. Affordable Luxury Hotel with Relaxing stay

I have been stayed in 3 nights. Very nice and helpful staff , you will feel the hotel are very relaxing and best for especially away from busy city stay. Nice green landscape surrounding tropical coconut tree. Comfortable , but amount is not too high but you can enjoy the luxury stay. I like the hotel you will feel very peaceful. Good for relaxing.

Contemporary resort with amazing service

I just have to start by saying how absolutely amazing the staff was, especially Ipung, who was beyond helpful. The resort was beautiful with a real interesting, contemporary feel. The restaurant served great food and I very much enjoyed watching the sunset from there. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage at the resort spa by the very talented Marianna. Although it was a few minutes outside of Sengiggi, the taxi was less than 20,000 IDR. There's not a whole lot to do in Sengiggi; however, there are many tours offered for Lombok. We did go to the 2 waterfalls at Mount Rinjani which I highly recommend. I would definitely recommend this place and will for sure go back next time I'm in Indonesia.

Architecturally beautiful relaxing hotel

Short stay here before leaving Indonesia - I loved the modern architecture of this hotel and looking out to the mountains from the infinity pool was a real highlight of my holiday. We took a short taxi ride to a local restaurant as Senggigi is 5 minutes down the coastal road. The hotel offers some excellent trips that ranged from a few hours up to a full day that we didn't get to make the most of but would have considered booking had we known they offered such great variety.

Dry hotel but a great place

We stayed at a number of places in lombok this visit. Svarga was the best of the bunch. Great roof top pool and very moden rooms. Few stairs but worth the walk.

Good place, but did't like the outside bathroom.

The hotel is good overall but has a few things that weren't great. For one, the bathroom is outside, is quite small and full of plans, so expect flies and gekos to be all over the place, plus if it rains you basically won't be able to use the shower. The room was ok but a bit scruffy here and there. Nothing major but not great. The restaurant offered simple but good and cheap food and was pretty pleased with it. I liked the swimming pool, which is clean and not visible from the main street.

Great stay. Wide range of breakfast. 30 mins ride to mataram. Resort is able to arrange free shuttle to Senggigi. Will definitely return again

So amazed with the view from the restaurant! The restaurant staff told me that the view from their deck (higher than the restaurant) was better but I was out of breath already so climbihg a couple more stairs wasn't an option back then. But I would surely come back and experience the said epic view

Great Trip!

Was looking for a one-night stay for my extended trip to Lombok & glad I stayed at Svarga. Great design & very different from the ones I stayed at in Lombok. Staff was great, super friendly and they really go the extra miles to make you happy. A lot of free activities that we can choose during our stay, too bad I only stayed for one night.

Will return for sure, I want to enjoy the view moreee! Bangus banget!

THE WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED

The breakfast was terrible, The view from my room was blocked by a wall from another room. The distance from cafe/restaurant is too far. It's not convinient if you dont have a decent transportation. The elevator is scary.

Lombok hotel

We stayed here for some 4 days and overall was peasant. Hotel is new and looks good but some of the furniture already shows signs of use. Superb pool location though. Breakfast is super good and quite few choices. It is far from centre of the city, but you can still walk. There is a hotel shuttle but only to 5pm. Hotel does not serve alcoholic beverages. Not a bad hotel at all but you could probably find better value for money around in that city, that is why I have reservations recommending the hotel although it is not bad at all. Other people with different preferences, might actually like it there

What a surprise!

It was our first time to Lombok and overall Svarga made our experience quite an extraordinary one. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights. To our surprise they upgraded us to the family suite! That was quite an amazing experience.

The staff were very helpful and nice. A couple downsides, there were quite a lot of bugs at the hotel and the hotel room itself. I think this can be prevented by having better sealing on the windows and doors.

The food at the restaurant is a little bit sub par. Nothing great, can be improved, but we didn't get sick from it, so that's good.

It seems like this hotel has still to work on some stuff. For instance amenities, they neither have bottle openers nor bug sprays on the premise at all. But their great attitude, helpful and friendly staff really made it up.

Beautiful Hotel

Stayed 4 nights. What a beautifully built hotel, spacious rooms and very spacious outdoor shower. Very clean, tidied daily. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Loved the fruit basket and welcome drink on arrival. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful pool and dinning area. Food was really good (especially dinner!).
Only complaints are the king size bed is two singles pushed together (not comfortable if you want to hog the bed), and the area around the pool is limited to 6 lounge chairs which fills up quickly.

Amazing, staff, room, pool, breakfast and value. Particular thanks to the friendly staff that are so accommodating. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Great location, 15 minutes walk out of Senggigi or a 10,000 IDR taxi ride. Had no issues with the stairs, enjoyed the warm-up for breakfast and the pool.

Perfect introduction to Lombok..

I stayed here with my Mum for 1 night in June 2014. We were pleasantly surprised with Svarga! The best part was the extra friendly and helpful staff, they made us feel so welcome! The resort provides a shuttle to the town for free, a FANTASTIC view for dining and swimming, a great priced spa with taxes all inclusive (makes life easier for tourists) and free mini bar! They don't sell alcohol which is actually not a bad thing, makes you feel healthier. The only down side was a lot of stairs as the resort is built into the side of a hill, but it's a workout at the same time so not that bad! This hotel provides SO MANY bonuses, we would most definetly come back here and were sad to leave this place.

Don't drink? You'll love Svarga!

First things first, this is a dry hotel. You will not be served alcohol - at all. That said, it's one of the few hotels I've been to that looks better in real life than in the promotional photos. The pool is gorgeous, and the villas are really beautiful with amazing views. A few problems with service, but they mean well. Finally, you're not really near anything. Solution: rent a scooter for a few bucks a day!

Amazing hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights but I would definitely go here again only to stay at the hotel. The staff is really nice and friendly and help you with everything they can, they even booked our boat over till Gili and Bali. English can be a bit hard sometimes though. Our room and the hotel was very modern and new. The infinity pool looking over the hotel and all the way to the ocean is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast is included and really yummy. Try the ceasar sallad the best we ever had. Also try something in the spa we had a whole day of massage, footbath, facials etc. Location can be a bit off but that's why we liked it so much a taxi in only a dollar or sometimes the hotel gives you a lift. Overall best hotel we stayed at.

We found this hotel on Expedia for a very reasonable price. When we arrived we were amazed by the beauty and design of the hotel. Everything was very modern and zen like. The staff was also amazing, very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice Resort

Fantastic staycation!

Loved our room with a private pool, spacious living space and friendly hotel staff. Very much a different concept from other resorts in the vicinity, Svarga comes across as a more inland and hilly landscaped resort. Very suitable for couples looking for a romantic getaway!
