We had such an amazing time at Katamaran! From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcome and genuinely cared for. Huge shoutout to Pak Hendra, Dwi, Ika, Edi, Remi, Pardi, Adi, and so many others who were just fantastic the whole way through.
The service was excellent in the most natural way — super friendly, kind‑hearted people who really go out of their way for you without ever making it feel formal or forced. Every day we felt looked after, and every interaction came with a smile.
The place is beautiful, but honestly, it’s the people who make Katamaran special. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to come back again.
Highly recommend to anyone who wants great vibes, great service, and truly wonderful people.

Always Our Go-To in Lombok
We always stay at Katamaran whenever we visit Lombok, and it never disappoints! The staff are consistently nice and courteous, making us feel welcome every time. Breakfast is varied and absolutely delicious, offering plenty of choices to start the day right.
The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the overall ambiance is relaxing—even during the rainy season. Katamaran truly delivers a comfortable and enjoyable experience every visit. Highly recommended!

My vacation at Katamaran Resort was unforgettable from start to finish. The moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made me feel right at home. The resort’s beachfront location is simply breathtaking — crystal-clear water, golden sunsets, and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxation.

The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed with a stunning ocean view. I especially loved the infinity pool overlooking the sea — it’s one of the most beautiful spots I’ve ever swum in! The breakfast buffet offered a great variety, from local Indonesian dishes to fresh tropical fruits and international options.

Every staff member went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Whether it was arranging transport, recommending local activities, or just checking in with a friendly smile, their service was truly exceptional.

We loved this hotel, right on the beach, fantastic breakfast, two nice restaurants ( though rather expensive compared with outside) lovely pools overlooking the sea and very nice large room. All the staff were very helpful.
There is nothing around the hotel to see or do but a taxi to the town only costs £1.50. The taxi from the ferry cost £12.50 and the one to the airport £16.50 ( but not booked via the hotel)

The wow factor hits you the moment you arrive. From a spacious lobby with lit water features immaculately clean, to greetings from smiling staff.
It's right on the beach front, with true infinity pools, that lead your eye right out to the sea. Open air restaurant for three meals a day with sumptuous breakfast included. Plenty of variety and styles.
The rooms are either small villas by the see through pool, or at the other end, a 4 storey hotel block with rooms having a sea view & 4 small villas on the ground floor with their own pool.
We had an oceanview deluxe room, completely facing west to catch the sunsets every night.
The rooms are huge with a safe, kettle, fridge, TV and large closet, plenty of cupboard & drawer space.
There are tea & coffee supplies & bottles of fresh water every day.
Beach towels are provided.
The bathrooms are the biggest I've ever seen, all capable of taking wheelchairs should you need it, &all floors are serviced by elevators.
There is a rooftop gym, cliff restaurant, paid for airport shuttles, tours to the nearby Gili Islands & excellent snorkelling right off the beach.
The resort rooms all have balconies & there are really comfortable day beds, in the immaculate grounds & by the pools, which also has a swim up bar.
The staff are amazing, Fery & Dwi at the restaurant to name just two. The staff are this hotels biggest assets.
One downside is there are NO USB charging sockets in the rooms, so bring a plug/lead for the tv USB socket

I booked this hotel based on the reviews but I wish I had read the negative ones. I had a Premier Club King Room which looked beautiful on the website but it had broken tiles in the bathroom and the furniture was dated and worn. The hotels sun loungers were stained and some burst at the seams. The beach was littered with plastic bottles in the morning. You can’t drown out the call to prayer from the nearby mosque. The hotel is not in a walkable area, there are no streetlights and nothing nearby so taxis are the only option. Despite all that, I wish I paid attention to the reviews regarding the poor quality of the food, if I had I wouldn’t have eaten at their ‘The Kliff’ restaurant - I was ill with food poisoning for 5 days afterwards. The staff were very kind but the manager, Mr Weylan was dismissive saying that he didn’t know if it was food poisoning because he is not a doctor! You do not need to be a doctor nor see a doctor to know what food poisoning is. The hotel refunded the cost of the meal and as I was leaving the next day took me to the harbour. Mr Weylan said he would keep in touch by WhatsApp but that didn’t happen. Every other member of staff apologised about the incident. I’m lucky, I’m a fit and healthy person otherwise I would have needed a doctor. Read the reviews others have written about the food then decide to stay somewhere else. My holiday was ruined thanks to the Katamaran.

I truly felt like I was part of the family welcome by everybody spoken to by everybody everyone had great big smiles were very welcoming and accommodating nothing was ever too much trouble I think I must have laughed every day with everybody

I had cookery lesson and the chefs who are talented should be step-by-step each process for every particular dish.

It was so good at this place that when I returned to the island after a brief stay back in Jakarta, I went back and stayed longer.

The sun sets from the restaurant and beach were incredible.

A concrete highrise! Expensive and not worth it. No privacy at all in our plunge pool as it led on to the communal walk through. Inauthentic - beach covered in plastic (the same goes for most of Lombok and Bali though) staff didn't understand English - I tried to cancel the spa 3 times before the appointment was cancelled. Most miserable christmas! The rat beneath the decking didn't thrill us either.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The location is fantastic, situated near Senggigi’s food area and conveniently close to the Gilis. The serene atmosphere added to the charm, and the beachfront access was a highlight, even though it wasn’t a private beach. The beach itself was spotless, with beautiful blue water, and the long, well-maintained pool by the beach was perfect for relaxation. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and quick to recognize guests, which made the experience even more welcoming. Breakfast was a standout feature, offering a buffet-style setup with excellent local dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Although we initially experienced some inconvenience due to renovations near our room, the issue was handled wonderfully. After reporting it, the hotel manager personally addressed the situation, explained it kindly, and offered us an upgrade to a quieter and much, much better room, which we absolutely loved. This thoughtful gesture significantly improved our experience. Overall, the combination of excellent service, fantastic amenities, and great location made our stay truly memorable. We would definitely come back again. 5/5 experience!

Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice, I can't comment on the other food as we didn't eat there. Snorkelling was good (not as good as Gili air but good). It's a bit of a walk to senggigi but catching a blue bird taxi is less than £2.00 and easy to hold if one. The town senggigi has lots of nice restaurants and plenty of choice.

The hotel and associated facilites were of an excellent standard and the staff were extremely helpful.

The spa was a lovely experience and the choice of pools were great. There is a hut-type bar located on the sea-front which served a wide variety of drinks. There was access to the beach from all of the pools and a mixture of seating.

There were two dining options - a beachfront restaurant which was more relaxed and was where breakfast is served, however we found the breakfast to be average (we didnt try the local cuisine). The Kliff Restaurant is a lovely location at the top of the hill with stunning views of the sea and the food was of a better than the beachfront restaurant but in our opinion nothing to shout about.

We stayed in the most basic room but it was very spacious and had a balcony. Bottled water refills were unlimited and free.

We visited in low season and Lomobk was incredibly quiet with only a handful of tourists seen in Senggigi and the local bars and restaurants were pretty much empty.

We liked almost everything about this property except, the absolute price gouging for beer! Wine and cocktails are pricey, yet in the ballpark of what to expect at a resort. A small Bintang runs 70k and a large is 125k! It is at least 2.5 times the rate at comparable establishments.
It meant that we did not enjoy the hotel food and bar because it simply was over the top.
We enjoyed the equipment in the gym, but they didn’t turn the AC on! Working out in 30 degrees at 8am was challenging. We did ask for AC, but a language barrier prevented a resolution. I don’t think the hotel reception understood.
It is a beautiful place otherwise!

The pool villa we upgraded to was excellent value. The beachside location was excellent as was the choice of activities on offer.
The Kliff restaurant was also excellent with sunset views and very reasonable prices by Australian standards.
While the staff were always friendly, helpful and tried their best there were some small lapses in service likely caused by inexperience noting New Year was a busy period. Definitely a very pleasant 6 night stay.

The property were located near the beach and during sunset we were able to see MT Agung from Bali. The staff were very friendly and the service excellent. The resort is well kept. The only setback is their breakfast, its too odinary as it does not reflect as a 5 star resort. Pls do not the resort os abt 1hr 15min away from the airport.Overall me and my wife truly enjoy the stay there for 4night to celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely be back again.

The hotel was lovely, we had a private villa which had a nice little pool where we spent most of our time. The infinity pool in the main area looks out to sea which is perfect for sunset, you can get a cocktail and sit in the pool watching the sun go down.

The food here was amazing, they have 2 resturants both have amazing views out to sea. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was relatively modern.

I was there 3 times already,but wouldn’t come back

This is my third time in Katamaran over the past 5 years. Of course, I always ended up coming back because I like my previous stay. But this time was different. I don’t think I will come back anytime soon.
The condition of the hotel is certainly worn out. The facilities have not being renovated in the past couple of years, so you can notice the hotel could use a good renovation anytime soon.
The service was good as always, but the prices of the food and drinks have gone up. Overall, I would give it a 7 or 8 out of 10, as the hotel view and infrastructure is still amazing, but the facilities are already a bit old and asking for renovation.

The hotel is beautiful and the views of the sea are breath taking. However, the only 2 things that was not good are the fact that there was nothing much to do or see in the area and that there were always people trying to sell us stuff on the beach while we tried to have lunch or dinner. It took away from my peace and relaxation

Very nice and clean resort hotel , with good restaurants and gym.. but beach is not pleasant due to not smooth surface with a lot of stones , hotel's tap water is salty , and very weak cellphone signals .

We loved the pool with glass walls. We loved our room and its bathtub. We enjoyed dining at the restaurants but while some dishes were really very good, some dishes were underwhelming.

Disappointed with interior

The resort is comfortable and relaxing however the room are not so modern and clean . Housekeeping did not do a good job as we saw paper on floor on day one we check in and the paper is still there when we leave on the 4th day . Toilet basin not washed daily , quite disappointed with the interior.
Housekeeping needs to improve . Bfast is same everyday , will be good if they can change the menu slightly everyday.

This property is located a little out of sengiggi but its only like a $4 taxi ride. The property has lovely grounds and the rooms are clean and AC works well, the restaurant has magnificent views of the sunset.

The place was beautiful and stunning , the food was great . Just upset that some other unit of the hotel room which is twin bed room full of whole families , and they were loitering around the balcony hanging lot of cloth , which can be sore to the eyes . Very upset with the adult pool which was suppose to be adult but was congested with childreb running and jumping shouting everywhere. This hotel was suppose to be a gem for adult as paradise .

We went for our honeymoon and upgraded to the suite ... the staff were not welcoming.. we missed all of the little touches that other hotels made, not even a welcome note in the room... might sound small but makes a difference when you are on honeymoon. Hotel was just commercially focussed the whole time .. jacuzzi didn’t work some days, no shade on the balcony.. not a lot to do in the area.

It's sad because I could have walked away from this trip with fantastic things to say about the entire stay but I definitely can't. The resort itself is beautiful in terms of the grounds, great pool areas, beautiful clean beach & the sunset views were amazing. The Kliff restaurant is beautiful and the food was fantastic. The staff that work at the resort always friendly & helpful.

BUT the big issue was that I was traveling with my 2 young daughters: 10 & 14 years old. My 14 year old is seen as an \"adult\" which is normal & I accept that, so the free breakfast for 2 included her. But my 10 year old I had to pay 240,000RP each day for her to have breakfast. This is a ridiculously high price for a 10 year old. Each morning she ate a few buns & fruit! There is no ala carte option so I had to pay regardless of the fact she ate the equivalent of 50,000RP of food or less! The other big problem is that the bed is definitely not a king bed, it is queen. Usually we can share a King bed but this time had to order another bed. I was prepared to pay extra, this is normal but not 695,000 RP per night! What?! Not even the most expensive hotels in Tokyo charge me this rate!

It's really a bad strategy on the part of the management, Sure they made an extra 2m RP from me from this stay but I'll never go back & will also recommend that my friends do not go there so they lost all that potential business. Why charge ridiculous prices for things that do not cost you much at all?

We were greeted warmly at reception with a lovely lemongrass drink which was perfect given the heat and humidity. The hotel was clean and tidy, rooms were accommodating for what we required.

The pool areas were nice with an amazing view of the ocean and Bali across the water, the Kliff hotel was nice again with amazing views and the meals we had were great especially the soft shell sushi.

We did feel the hotel lacked activities though, we stayed for 7 nights and out of the 7 there was only one bbq buffet that guests could take part in on the Saturday evening. There was a special function for a group of guests which they had a live band and DJ but hotel guests were not permitted to take part. There is no happy hour which in our experience seemed a little odd.

The staff were lovely and we were always pleasantly greeted however we had to seek them out in the pool areas as opposed to them seeking us out.

Overall the hotel was nice and clean with lovely people but we feel it lacked a few little things to make it stand out.
