Staff were amazing. Food was good. The whole place has a warm and friendly vibe. Great swimming pool. Pillows were very high and a bit hard. A lot of people had sore necks. Others were tummy sick but the management and staff went out of their way to help all affected. Drains smell on and off but I think that’s general all over the island. I’m going back I loved it so much.

This property was and the value was amazing. When you check in you are surrounded by artwork and statues Check-in was fast and the staff was all very friendly. My villa exceeded my expectations! The bed and linings were very comfortable. The dining at Puri Mas was amazing. Everything I had, and I was adventurous, was delicious. The pool and beach front completed the resort. Having both available was relaxing and convenient. We were there while they had a dinner show, which usually wouldn't excite me, but this was great. The owner of the resort teaches dance free of cost to all the staff. It was amazing to see how they give back to the Lombok community. I promise to return one day to Puri Mas and would highly recommend booking your stay with them.

Fabulous hotel and staff. From the first welcome to our goodbye we felt part of the hotel. The food was really great, breakfast was sumptuous. The pool area was really good. One night they put on entertainment, ballroom dancing stick fighting and drumming.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and the food was so good and reasonably priced that we ate there every night. The evening dance entertainment was amazing and excellent. We visited the beautiful & tranquil spa resort that is part of this hotel for some relaxing spa treatment and that too was excellent. I recommend this hotel for an enjoyable vacation on Lombok!

Charming hotel, very nice staff

Charming looking hotel in a Balinese-style garden. We had a standard bungalow, with its own balcony. Loved the carved doors, the art everywhere around the hotel and the well cared for garden. The room was a bit basic and needed better lighting, but the outside bathroom I really enjoyed. Breakfast was great, many options to choose from, very good ingredients. Not the best beach in Lombok, but you can enjoy the sunset, the local fishermen, and have a dip in the pool. Not much around outside the hotel, you will have to take the bikes provided by the hotel to ride to the main Senggigi area if you want more of a buzz at night. If you stay around, there are a couple of nice local restaurants (warung) within a few minutes' walk, and then you can listen to the frogs chanting around the pond.

Puri Mas is one of the original hotel/resorts in Senggigi. Over the years it has been maintained and expanded with care and a unique sense of style. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the rooms, which vary considerably in size and amenity, all have an individual quality and character. Throughout Puri Mas there is a consistent attention to detail, evident in every aspect of the design of the resort as well as in the service The restaurant serves an ala carte breakfast that is superb (included) and the menu for lunch and dinner is equally of high quality. It is a pleasure to stay \"home\" and take meals at the resort. High commendation to Marcel and his wonderful staff in offering such a unique and exceptional hotel that matches in quality the natural beauty of this amazing site on the west coast of Lombok.

The hotel is well located in a beautiful beach, Has a great infrastructure, well decorated and well maintained and very friendly personal. Restaurant is great, good food and reasonable prices. I got a Jacuzzi room which happens to be amazing, Jacuzzi and sun beds in the private external area with a well maintained garden, a big bathroom with bathtub inside. It was a really great experience.

30 year wedding anniversary!

Puri Mas is truly a boutique experience! The staff are incredible, the hotel extraordinary and our romantic villa 5 + star! We could not have asked for anything more! We had our own private sanctuary when we wanted it but also beach and poolside lounges always enough that you didn't have to rush to reserve! The food is amazing and we had a romantic dinner on the beach on our anniversary which was so special!
The beach is stunning, surf lessons, local fishing village + more restaurants for a change of scenery 5 minute walk along the beach! Thank you Puri Mas so special ❤️

My wife and I spent a week at Puri Mas Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The hotel is a bit like a holiday Kampung with different types of buildings laid out across the site. Ours was one of 3 in a terrace with an outside sitting area, enclosed bedroom and semi covered bathroom. The gardens around it were pretty and well tended. The restaurant by the beach was very good, though they tend to go too easy on the chilli for my liking. The pool area was a great place to relax and watch the sunset.
I had concerns about it being remote from town but we found getting taxis very easy and cheap. Next door there was also a great warung on the beach if you did not want to eat in the hotel.
It is however the people at Puri Mas that made the stay so special. The owner Marcel, a former champion dancer, teaches all the staff to dance latin and ballroom and some are at a very high standard. This has created a great big family atmosphere, and the staff then include you in this. Whilst it seems churlish to single out one person, a special mention to Amin, one of their drivers who took us on three excursions. He was good, informative and again chatted to us like family.
We were very sorry to leave but we will be back to see our new friends and next time we will bring shoes to dance in!

Beautiful place but no beach

The owner is an interesting guy and very nice; he actually lives on the smaller spa property, and has an amazing collection of his personal art in a small personal museum on that property.

The grounds of both the main hotel and the spa property are beautiful, with great landscaping.

However, the air con wasn't working in our room and we had to change rooms at 10:00 at night, which I didn't appreciate. The rooms themselves are nice enough but a bit dated, and old.

The hotel is at the beach, but there is no actual beach in front of it, so you need to walk down a bit to use the beach in front of other resorts.

Great stay at Puri Mas

We stayed at a private villa called Ratnawati private villa which includes private pool, 3 rooms. The villa was fantastic as it has privacy as well as it is connected to the restaurant and the beach. What we liked about Puri Mas is that the rooms are exclusive and limited which is just nice and less crowded. The staff are very friendly and kind which is one of the reasons that we would want to come back here again. Food was authentic and excellent.

Awesome hotel, friendly staff, amazing food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed ordering from menu for breakfast. Location was great, swimming pool on beach, enjoyed watching fishermen and sunset at night. Free entertainment, ballroom dancing and stick fighting on two nights. It was great to have a water cooler - endless of water to drink. We enjoyed our visit to their spa resort seeing animals and swimming in pool. We would recommend and we are definitely going back. The best amazing stay I had ever. What a peaceful hotel with great view. Everything thing was perfect since the moment of check in where they welcome you with a refreshment juice and give you an explanation about the hotel facilities and services available. We got a garden view room, it was so clean with a big drum of water to drink and well decorated in general.
The restaurant was amazing as well, you can find a variety of international food. All the food is delicious and well made.

Our stay at Puri Mas was utterly, utterly amazing! We did have a rather stressful check in through no fault of Puris Mas but through a misunderstanding over our booking. This was the only downside to our otherwise perfect stay! As soon as you open the door to the cool air conditioned reception area and inhale the beautiful lemongrass aroma you know you have come to somewhere very special indeed. The welcome drink served in a pineapple was the best welcome drink of our entire stay in Indonesia and gives a small insight into the standard of this wonderful hotel.
The romantic villas are so very special; offering not only a pool, but a courtyard of complete privacy. The bedrooms are huge and beautifully furnished. There are wonderful pieces of original artwork through out this hotel and every turn you make you will view some other visual treat.
The spa is wonderful and you must not miss out on either treatments or just a relaxing day round the pool. A special mention must go to Agus at the Spa who showed us around the grounds, the very many animals,the museum and treated us like royalty.
There were so many other staff members deserving of a special mention and I felt so heavy hearted leaving this beautiful hotel behind
.If you are visiting Lombok you could not possibly be disappointed in this very unique and personal hotel. Highly highly recommended!

Wonderful grounds and best service ever!

I would say that this is one of my top 3 favorite hotels, especially in terms of service....and I've stayed in many top rated hotels in Asia, so this says a lot ! Charming and friendly staff, prize winning boutique hotel, gardens filled with art work and ponds. Fabulous villas available with private gardens, jacuzzis and private swimming pools. Outdoor and seaside breakfast and dining. The owner, a world champion ballroom dancer, has ongoing classes for students and staff, with twice a week costumed performances for guests in outdoor restaurant. Truly a unique and wonderful experience !

Nice hotel next to beach

The hotel is somewhat remote. There is nothing nearby outside the hotel, so to go there is to stay there. The hotel offers a shuttle to town once a day, but there is no return shuttle. The hotel setting is beautiful. The owner and manager take pride in their hotel and it shows. The hotel restaurant was very good with friendly staff and a view of the sea. The owner is a champion dancer, and teaches dancing to employees and locals. They put on a dance show after the evening meal that was very spectacular. We recommend seeing it. The beach was above average for the area, with deep areas inside the breakers for swimming.

This a beautiful place. Tastefully decorated and passionately designed. We booked a villa with private pool for 3 nights and 3 days. However, we could not use the pool for almost 2 days since there were lot of leeches around the pool. Then we were shifted to another villa which was much cleaner, but the room was smaller than the other one. In this villa, the switches were not functioning properly, doors were jamming, and wooden wardrobes were cracked in places. These things are not expected from one of the most premier hotels of Lombok. It soured the whole experience of Puri Mas, which, coincidentally means the \"Golden Castle\".

NB - Don't miss the Puri Mas Spa located around 2-3 kms from the hotel with a shuttle service. It's regarded as the best, and it certainly felt true to the claim.

We stayed there for 2 nights and it was great! The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Our room was a good size and we loved the outside bathroom. Our room was clean.
The hotel have a great restaurant and the night we arrived that had a culture night that was really nice to see.
It was raining the whole time we were there so we made use of their spa and that was also very good.
We will definitely stay here again.

Great resort with a fantastic position and views. Food was excellent. We were in the quirky garden cottage and loved it - beds and pillows very comfy! The gardens and setting was amazing! I loved the fact that there were no kids under 12 as the resort was beautifully quiet. Wasn't overly impressed with our spa experiences at the sister resort 1 pretty average for quite expensive prices - I have had many spa treatments in many Asian countries that were. A lot better for less money.

Lombok's seaside garden.

The Puri Mas Beach Resort is a collection of secluded luxury cabins set in an exotic garden landscape beside the ocean. With the emphasis on relaxation, breakfast is served until mid morning, there are no TVs and the pool is infinite. At the end of the day, you can watch the red sun sink in a blaze of colour across the pool and behind the island silhouette of Bali. Listen to the waves lapping on the shore while you sip your pineapple cocktail and wait while the restaurant staff prepare your three course dinner from an extensive Indonesian and Western menu. All this at prices which can only be described as 'a steal'.

Nice pleasant staff and vendors outside and the nearby bech warong complimented. The breakfast was fantastic. But the muesli could be prepared well rather than served dry. The dining buffet/ dinner set is poor compared to the other hotels of the same class. Take the bench mark from other international Malaysian and singfapore hotels of the same class to improve on the dinner buffet or special sets.

This hotel has an amazing layout and comfortable rooms with all the amenities. During breakfast the service was slow and the waitress forgot some orders, but that was the only hiccup in a two-day stay. We stayed in the jacuzzi villa for part of our honeymoon and it was so lovely. Really spacious and well decorated. It was so romantic and comfortable. The resort is really beautiful and the gardens are incredible. You can see the ocean from the infinity pool and you can walk right down to the beach from the pool area. The breakfast is great and the Rijsttafel dinner is a must. So romantic and the food was delicious. Make sure you book the pavilion at the spa resort for this dinner. It's so beautiful and romantic. The lunch menu is ok but mainly overpriced so-so food. The staff are so friendly. Even the gardeners will stop and say hello. Just something that adds to the atmosphere when other hotels/resorts don't even try.

Stands out even amongst other excellent resorts

We had a great long weekend at the Puri Mas Boutique (Beach) Resort.

The natural yet well-kept feel of the villas and grounds is wonderful, the staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly, and the Spa resort, which is just a free 10 minute cab ride away, offers very good value-for-money treatments.

It's the perfect place to relax, although the 30 minute drive to the Bangsal Harbour - from where you can access the Gilis by boat - and the 60 minute drive from the airport means that it is somewhat isolated. Senggigi is extremely close by, though - maybe 5 minutes' drive - so there's no need to remain on the resort the entire time.

Highly recommended.

The hotel is unique with different style rooms according to budget but all beautifully decorated either in typical Indonesian style or in a more modern style. The staff go out of their way to ensure your every need is met and always greet you by name. Very friendly and comfortable with a lovely pool and the sea and beach on your doorstep. Excellent staff and hotel, great food. It's the staff that make this place. Would return when in lombok again! There is some construction noise next door however this didn't bother us. Took a trip to the spa this was fab and a very peaceful area. Great resort. The only thing that could be changed is the prices of the drinks, the hotel added a tax and service charge onto every bill which was a little annoying. But overall a great stay!

We were welcome with pineapple welcome drink, delicious! We had 3 rooms: 1 large with king size bed (good), 1 cozy room (very small, not happy about that at all) and 1 with a patio furnished with day bed and lounge sofa (perfect but pricey). Showers are clean, love the nice smell clean towels (very rare for hotel to accommodate fresh smell clean towels, I get frustrated a lot during my travels), breakfast were GREAT (two thumbs up!) and I adore the landscape of Puri Mas. I think what concluded my decision of booking this hotel is the beautiful landscape.

Nice beach, nice facility (very artsy) and good food in the restaurant.
Staff is not delivering what they've promised for e.g. promising a meal box for us on our check out time (Check out early at 4am).
However at the end, they didn't prepare the meal box and instead, asked us to request the packed meal box to restaurant ourselves when we were checking out.

They are not giving you all the available room with transparent rate for each of the room, when we wanted to extend our stay in the hotel.

It felt like a battle, every time you want to request something to the receptionist. Very terrible attitude from the receptionist and definitely FAR from the service that i've experienced in Hotel Keraton in Jakarta (more or less same price range per night btw).

Exotic gardens with Lombok statues and carvings, spacious rooms with private verandas and semi-open air bathrooms, open-air cabanas with cushions distributed around the grounds, a meditation and yoga outdoor area (with free yoga classes offered twice a week)friendly staff, a world-class spa, and a Dutch owner who, as a former ballroom dance champion, now operates a dance school for aspiring young Lombok dancers, who performed at the hotel while I was there. Stunning sunsets. There's not much of a beach, but the hotel has lounge chairs overlooking the sea, and at an infinity pool, and once you get in the water, the bottom is sandy and inviting. Interesting snorkeling within an easy swim of shore, including of giant turtles. The food is good -- not award-winning, but good -- with diverse selections...Indonesia, of course, Thai, Indian, Mexican, Italian. The hotel provides a shuttle at 11am into the town of Sengiggi, about 4 kms away. It's a scraggly little place, but worth a morning, wandering around. The hotel will also drive you to the spa, on equally beautiful grounds 2 kms away. Should you decide to walk back or at least linger awhile on the dirt road that leads to the spa, you'll find both Balinese and Lombok Muslim villages. All in all, a wonderfully restorative tropical retreat, where you can be as active or as relaxed as you like.

The resort is beautiful, wouldnt chane a thing. Staff were super helpful, they even booked a flight for us when ours cancelled last minute! On the night we got there the owner threwa cocktail party with wine snacks and deserts, he even greated every guest individually finding out where they were from. This was followed by a buffet dinner (charge) and professional child dancers. Its nice to see an owner so passionate. Would deffiently recomend to everyone! The complimentary breakfast was so good too, made to order specialty things like eggs benny or waffles and as much as you can eat!

we stay 25 night int this hotel in February.It was beautiful -garden- stuff and owner Marcell is excelent.Beautiful dinner and decoration in the room and in the restaurant at Valentine day Tuesday's dance show amazing with fighter and young dancer and the party before in the Villa .All garden and furniture and enterior perfect!!!
All stuff in the restaurant kind and helpfull special Chef!!!!

Comfy room...Love their breakfast variant especially the cinnamon french toast!!! so yummy!!! Great experience to had a lovely breakfast by the beach side and friendly staff at the restaurant. Unfortunately I was booked 2 Superior Room, Garden View side by side but got the different type of room: 1 with bathtub and other with shower on the different floor.

Beautiful Resort in lush surroundings.

My wife and me had a wonderful 4-night stay at Puri Mas Boutique Resort & Spa.
We stayed in one of the Jacuzzi Villas at the resort and the room was marvelous.
One thing we noted was that all the accommodation options are slightly different from one another, so the hotel looks really interesting in terms of decor.
We also loved the lush garden surroundings and the view from the restaurant & infinity pool overlooking the sea, with Bali's Mt Agung on the horizon is just magnificent.

Highly recommended.

Our wonderful Lombok experience

We were celebrating our 50th year of marriage and so this was a very special time for us.
From the time we arrived ,until we reluctantly left,the whole experience was everything we had wished for and dreamed of.
The staff were caring,interested and very attentive,without imposing,the venue was of a very high standard and the food varied,beautifully cooked and presented.
Imagine sitting at a restaurant, right on the beach,with fishermen casting their rods into the sea immediately in front of you sipping a drink with pleasant gentle music in the background.
We were invited to a cocktail party at one of the luxury villa's one night where we were offered free food and drinks AND NO ONE TRIED TO SELL US ANYTHING!!!???
Then we had a floor show with local teenagers and children showing off their skills as ballroom dancers.Marcel,the owner is a former Dutch Ballroom Dancing champion and uses part of the proceeds from Puri Mas to promote and sponsor ballroom dancing on Lombok.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience.We will be back again very soon

It was and excellent and memorable stay, although certain small things like key not function well-they replace it immediately, hotel wi-fi connection very slow, and they say that they have problem with wifi, at spa, no connection at all, but lucky i roam my mobile. They need to fix it asap. Overall the hotel location is superb, and i would really love to come back and stay there.

Wonderful place to stay and relax

If your looking to stay in a hotel that has everything then Puri Mas ticks all the boxes. The staff are really great and very helpful. We stayed for 8 nights and only left the hotel twice! The spa facility is just up the road and is also very impressive. They are very accommodating and the spa staff even came down to give massages by the pool at the main resort without any trouble. Would highly recommend this hotel. Lombok is a nice island and truly away from the maddening crowds of other places in bali.

Such a welcoming relaxing place

I stayed at Puri Mas for a week on my own and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's right on the beach so the views are spectacular, all the staff from security to the gardeners to the restaurant waiters were genuinely lovely. The food is excellent, beds and rooms comfortable. I had a couple of great spa treatments and also went on a dive to the Gilis with the resident diver- all of it is surprisingly great value and great service. I'll be back! Thanks so much guys!

Great Lombok experience

A fantastic beachside setting and nice clean facilities.
We enjoyed being there in the night of the \"Lombok Ballroom Dancing Competitions\" and as bizarre as this sounds, it was fantastic. So too was the cultural evening, held on Tuesday evenings.

Return to Lombok after 18 years- Puri Mas Resort

Revisiting Lombok 18 years later was wonderful. Puri Mas Resort made it the more memorable. Away from the more crowded Senggigi, beautiful surroundings, great restaurant (live singing on certain days), free access to the Spa resort a short drive away, and wonderful facilities like a warm-water pool (when raining). The no children below age 12 policy came as a pleasant surprise (my wife and i love children though but we were really taking a break from them!). For couples wanting that peace and quiet, this is the resort to go. But best of all is the service staff, all friendly and sincere. This time we will not wait another 18 years to return to Lombok!

Warm, friendly staff who look after you without intruding. But always happy to pause and chat or answer questions. Rooms clean and comfortable, but air conditioning struggles in the monsoon season. Beach sellers need to be ignored, as they can spoil your freedom to walk on the beach, but not something the hotel can control - although they do their best. Lovely atmosphere. Quiet and restful.

Pick this place!

Puri Mas is fabulous quiet and very romantic! The gardens are divine, the rooms very clean and comfortable, the pool is relaxing and the staff are attentive and friendly. We used the hotel dive shop and had a fun filled day of diving, spent a day at the spa which was very relaxing, borrowed the mountain bikes and had a lovely coastal ride to the North of the resort. We also used them to ride into town. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. It's quiet and a bit out of the way but close enough to seek the night life if that's what you want. The beach has snorkelling right from the resort, it's not the sit on the beach for the day kinda place but you don't need it because Puri Mas has comfortable lounge chairs where you,can enjoy the ocean view from the property. We also went to the Pearl Farm,which was fascinating and there was no pressure to buy pearls. On Tuesday we had cocktails with the owners and then a show in the restaurant, that's definitely worth sticking around for. There's lots to do near by, cabs are cheep and the bikes are cheaper....We didn't see a nicer place in the area. We stayed 10 whole days and filled each day with activities and relaxation.

Still dreaming of Puri Mas 2 weeks later

This hotel was pure luxury, from being welcomed with a drink in a pineapple to our free upgrades and drinks and nibbles in the presidential suite we were treated like kings. Great start to the hotel and unfortunately set the bar very high for the rest of the hotels we stayed at along the trip.
