From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out, the staff were fabulous, very efficient and friendly. The food was so good we didnt bother going out to eat.
The rooms are so clean and comfortable with lots of options on the TV, the bathroom was out of this world.. just loved our 11 days of rest in peaceful and quiet surroundings.

The hotel was lovely and the rooms are spotless and spacious.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The beach and water in front of the hotel is not that special.
However, it is very nice that you can sit in the bar, restaurant or loungers and look right out to the ocean. Good for sunsets etc.
Rooms are spacious.
Breakfast was good and the happy hour cocktails are nice.
We had a massage included, which was also very good.

The Chandi is a wonderful getaway. The resort is spacious and immaculate. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the guys in the restaurant were awesome, they made each mealtime so enjoyable. The food is great, the best breakfasts ever. In fact the food was so good we asked to see the chef to shake his hand.
So many thoughtful touches have gone into the resort, it was a joy to be at from start to finish.

The good:
- Excellent service and staff, 5 stars
- Beautiful grounds well maintained
- Location, design, layout
- Breakfast options

The bad:
- Bedding and towels brownish/grayish, not pleasing
- Various broken things (bathroom lights out, shades, etc)
- Aging condition of property

Overall, this could be an excellent property, but only if major renovations are carried out. I really wish I could have experienced this place 10 years ago, it probably would have been amazing. Overall, there are some good aspects, but overall the experience could be much improved by the owners investing in a refresh (bare minimum offer the guests clean white linens and towels at this price point). If I knew renovations were complete, I wouldn't hesitate to come back, but I'll probably wait until the refresh happens.

I loved this small hotel on the beach with a fabulous pool. The staff in the restaurant was excellent. The food was good too. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 star is the air conditioning barely worked and 2 nights it broke in middle of the night so we were sweltering. Fix that and this place is 5 star

Secluded Villas Relaxing and Delightful

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here. The resort only has 15 private villas so it's nice and secluded. The staff provided excellent service but let us enjoy ourselves without being overbearing. With the exception of the pizza, all the food we ate at the restaurant was really tasty and flavorful. The breakfast was delicious as well. We really liked the ala carte option as opposed to a buffet-style that many hotels offer. The pool was nice too because, while it's not 25 meters, it's long enough to do laps on and get in a good workout. The outdoor bathroom was really neat and the beds were comfortable. A couple times, we had a problem connecting to the wi-fi but in general, it worked just fine, though you won't be streaming any movies. All in all, we would book this resort again. It was quiet, relaxing, lovely rooms, right on the beach, nice pool with comfortable lounge chairs, with an attentive, but not too attentive staff, Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This Hotel is a rippa - we have loved every minute of our stay.
It is quiet, the location is brilliant. The staff are so happy and friendly.
The food is amazing. The bed is comfortable and huge, the wifi is great, the water is hot and the air con is quiet and cold.
Dont have a bad word to say about this boutique resort - would stay here again absolutely :)

Nice Hotel in a not so nice area

The location of the hotel wasn't brilliant. After having stayed at around the Kuta area 3 years ago, this area is in the older part of town and cleanliness surrounding the hotel wasn't great. However, if your idea of a holiday is only to remain in the hotel this would be a great place to stay. It has a nice setting and the view of the sunset is excellent, even the locals come to the area to view the sunset during the weekends.

The room was very big and nice.Very helpful staff especially the front counter, she help us to arrange Blue bird to pick us up,ready few breakfast box for us because we need to leave very early next day to the airport and a surprised birthday cake(Free) for one of my birthday girl. But the place was very quiet, no 24hrs mini mart nearby, hotel spa close at 11pm and also the restaurant. Need to take Blue Bird to the nearby town for drink and food, massage, live band or 24 hrs mini mart.

The hotel was very cosy and quiet - it almost felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We really enjoyed just lounging and wading in the pool as we watched the sun set over the horizon. Hotel room was clean and the aromatherapy message was good. Wished we had stayed longer.

Lovely place on Lombok

Lovely resort with feeling for the details on rooms and facilities, me and the family lived place. Maybe a bit quite with a little child, but for relaxing it's the perfect place to be.
The tide washes in some garbage from time to time, the resort can't do much about this worldwide issue but cleaning up the beach.
Learned at the end that the management is German, that explains a lot on quality provided. Thanks for making this a great stay for us.

his hotel just make me wanna come again and again since the very arrival of my visit there.
The staffs are just at its best. They spoke english at all times and made us feel welcomed. All matters arrive are taken cared ASAP. Breakfast was amazing.. do not be misled by the menu.. you can actually tick all of them if you want to. Only 15 villas at the compound including a SPA. Location from Senggigi Town is 2 mins by bike. Can rent bike from hotel but can get cheaper at Senggigi town. Very very romantic resort. Good for couples and you can have privacy here.

This is a a fab compact resort offering private chalet style accommodation with a great outside bathroom feature, The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to assist where there are any problems. It is close to a great steak house restaurant called the cowshed, which I can thoroughly recommend and is a short taxi ride away from the centre of Senggigi. We had a great time here and I would recommend it for a short stay.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had the most enjoyable and relaxing time. The staff (in particular Ayu) were so friendly and could not do enough for us. Pool is great, beach is ok (continuously cleaned). Breakfast was generous and varied. The lunch and dinner menus offered a wide choice and good value for money; the Saturday night BBQ is well worth it. Only a 10 minute / 20 IDR drive in taxi to Senggigi and an hours drive to Bangsal for the Gilis, or the Airport. All in all a perfect stay, would totally recommend to anyone.

Lovely, personal resort just south of Senggigi

Very quiet and secluded - just off the main road around 30 minutes' walk or a 5-minute drive from Senggigi square and the beaches there. We found a really personal feel to the service and the beach views from the pool, bar and particularly restaurant were spectacular.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the outdoors shower and bathroom a nice touch.

Particularly enjoyed the excellent breakfast selection, and the Saturday evening barbecue buffet was also great. Would definitely recommend to couples or families looking for a quiet getaway, while still close enough to Senggigi proper and Gili island trips etc!

The price is a bit steep for the hotel. It is directly next to the beach but for that price, I guess you have a lot of options within that area. The hotel and staff needs to step up their standard to justify the price they charge. Breakfast is ok, view is ok. Facilities are ok. Best part of the stay is the outdoor bathroom. It gives you the special feeling of having total freedom. Overall is a good stay, not a fantastic one.

We found this boutique resort on the net and also found a great deal on Expedia. The location of the resort is superb with an amazing view of the ocean. The restaurant is so close to the beach that you feel you are aitting next to the ocean. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very nice. The open air bathrooms was a novel experience for us. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

The BEST beach resort stay I have ever experienced.

Upon arrival, we were whisked (luggages all properly cared after) to the tastefully furnished concierge and briefed on our stay matters. The welcome drink was a concoction of lemongrass, ginger and lime - refreshing! We checked in late evening but the staffs were still all smiles, chirpy and attentive.

We got ourselves a bungalow styled garden villa with an outdoor shower. There were two sides to the room, one with a big comfy bed and TV and another spacious area with a desk and sofa. Boy, is this resort generous with space! Power sockets are aplenty and wifi is pretty stable throughout. The zen-themed room had glass sliding doors that opened up to a pretty veranda, overlooking the garden.

Next morning, we awoke to a sumptuous breakfast spread of local and international delights - we were spoilt for choice! Most of it delicious and beautifully plated. It was also my friends birthday, and we were all surprised when the ENTIRE kitchen staff appeared with a cake!

We opted for a 3 course dinner by the black sand beach one night and it was beautifully set up. A pity the weather was not cooperative and we couldn't catch the sunset nor the volcanos of bali. Sudden blackouts (the norm here) gave us a better glimpse of the lovely night sky dotted with a thousand stars! The chef was accommodating and allowed us to customize the menu for the night. Overall, food was good but seafood could be done better.

Chandi was a treat – it’s landscaping, layout, and simple island architecture makes you feel comfortable and serene. It’s creators clearly did well with their objective to create a small elegant retreat that fits in well with the beachside and island location. The coconut palms shade the small park-like setting. The Meru Restaurant was also great treat – the open air beachside location was matched with exquisitely prepared dishes and great service. All the resort staff were outstanding – and were a large part of why we rate Chandi as one of our most liked stays where we felt quite welcome.

Amazing time at The Chandi in Lombok!

Fantastic, luxurious hotel with wonderful staff

Luxury, bliss, romance. We stayed here for the first few days of our honeymoon tour of Indonesia and what treatment we received! We received a complementary honeymoon cake when we arrived, it was lovely. The hotel is beautiful, clean and romantic! Great view of the ocean and our villa was spacious with a great outdoor bathroom. The key word to this hotel is 'relaxing'. The staff are the best catering staff we've ever experienced, so polite and helpful but not at the detriment to their personalities, the perfect mix!

The only downside is that the sea is not swimmable as it is full of coral but with a brilliant pool by the beach I didn't mind! We had a wonderful stay here, thank you especially to the wonderful staff!

Beautiful and relaxing

Beautiful setting in a coconut grove, good size pool, directly at the beach, and very comfortable villas. The spa setting is beautiful and the visit was very relaxing, good massage too. The only con is that the beach is rocky and it's difficult to get out there and swim (Hotel provides beach shoes) and in the vilas closer to the street it can get a bit noisy depending on traffic.

Overall a good value and beautiful and very relaxing spa hotel!

Good place to stay

We had a week here and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff at the Chandi were outstanding and the food really good. The beach area leaves a bit to be desired but that is not the hotels fault. The only negative was the fact that smoking is allowed in the restaurant.

Overall a nice resort

Aircond out of function since check-in, hotel staffs provide fast service to repair it even during heavy rain. But the repaired aircond only last for 1 day, have to keep request repair services...

Better destinations for a holiday.

Great hotel but not great location and you cannot swim at the beach all rocks and coral. Lombok in general a very dirty island. Unless you are going to climb the volcano give lombok a miss.

A great place to relax!

Wonderful stay - very relaxing

When I arrived I was feeling run-down from a virus but the Chandi was the perfect place to recouperate. The staff were all exceptional especially the Manager Wire and Supervisor Ayu. While we were there the dining room was being renovated which caused a few minor problems as the meals were served in the bar and had to be carried from the restaurant kitchen.
The outlook from our room (6) was over the garden and pool to the ocean. Both the bar and restaurant are situated extremely close to the ocean and watching the fishing boats returning every morning was colorful and very photographic too. The breakfast menu was large and very good (included in room price). We only ate dinner at the resort, on our first night, because of the renovation and chose rot take a taxi to \"The Square\" restaurant in town ($2.00 each way by taxi) for excellent meals at good prices. there were always sun lounges with towels and cushions available right next to the pool with a spectacular view. fruit kebabs and cold towel offered during the afternoon for a snack. Overall room comfort excellent with large outside bathroom (shower but no bath) supplied body wash, shampoo etc. A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, fantastic staff, cheap taxi to town and unbeatable for a relaxing break. Massage $23.00 but downtown around $8.00 if you need a daily massage.

Beautiful Resort!

Was a little concerned driving through Lombok (be prepared the Airport to Senggigi beach is up to 1.5hrs) Lombok its self is a bit of a dust pit but once you pull up to the hotel it immediately feels luxurious. You won’t have a private villa/pool like normal Bali Villa type resorts but your room is a short stroll the pool which overlooks the beach! There’s a big covered outdoor bar area that is stunning to sit in during the day. Overall would recommend if you are going to Lombok but wouldn’t recommend Lombok as a destination. More for couples than a family!

Perfect for a quiet getaway

Very lovely hotel with few villas/chalets, so perfect for that quiet getaway. The beach is clean and nearly deserted (not in a bad way), which was what we were looking for. The rooms very nice, clean and comfortable with high ceilings. Love the outdoor shower, and the living room, which was separated from the sleeping area. Some earlier reviews I read complained about the noise coming from the main road at the back of the garden facing villas. I found this to be untrue. We couldn't hear any traffic while in the room. You may hear it in the shower/toilet area because it is out in the open. But if you close the door to the shower area at night when you sleep, no noise at all! It's pricey obviously but you get total tranquility here, a well maintained property, and helpful and courteous staff. We will definitely be back.

Lovely small hotel.

The hotel was small and very well maintained. Although it was full for most of our stay, it never felt crowded and there were always plenty of beds available around the pool and tables free in the restaurant. The staff were lovely and attentive.

The location is outside the main part of Sengiggi but still conveniently close by taxi. The hotel is right on the beach, with the opportunity to snorkel off the reef directly outside (with beach shoes helpfully provided by the hotel). It would be nice if the hotel also had some snorkel equipment available for hire. The only downside to the location is that there was a bit of road traffic noise at night as we were in one of the garden view villas next to the road.

Peace in paradise

The Chandi hotel was amazing, gorgeous rooms and resort. Beach out the front not so great for swimming but beautiful sunset view. Dinner at the hotel was nice and lots of good breaky options (amazing jam!). the pedicure doesnt include a foot scrub or exfoliation so not really worth it but the aromatherapy massage was nice. Romantic spot for couples.

Beautiful resort with direct beach access and view

The staff were exceptional, they went out of their way to arrange a private cooking class for us and a private day trip to the Gili Islands. Restaurant and Facilities were great, rooms were nice and large with views onto the tropical gardens and lovely open air shower.
