Not Good Value for Money

Whilst the staff were very polite and helpful, there were lots of long wait times for simple items such as an iron for the room, plates and bowls in the restaurant and drinks from the pool bar. Also, the facilities are outdated and in need of maintenance - the bath rail fell off on first use and when they moved us to a second room, one of the door handles fell off. The pool by the beach is very dirty - the furniture has not been cleaned or repaired in a long time. Finally, the food at the buffet is almost inedible. Overall, it is not worth the price and it is not good value for money.

Service was bad ! They never pick up the phone on the help desk … The food needs lots of improvements weather breakfast or dinner but the dinner was a disaster !!! The room is not clean, it needs deep cleaning to go back to a neutral place where later the normal cleaning is helpful. Also the flies - you need to find a way to maintain the pest control , flies in the room were too much ! Tooo much

We enjoyed a quick weekend getaway here. Haven't been since before covid. Really nice staff and good options for dining. Property is currently being renovated, so some of the areas are in construction. Spacious rooms and beach is close by - loved the Frisky Fox and evening entertainment. Shame to see the Belgian Beer cafe is no longer nearby but everything else good

Very nice hotel in good location. Room service food was good and affordable. Nice view of pool from room. Not far from al hamra mall and supermarket. Only mishap is false advertising. If you book standard room thy put you in a village about 300 meters from main resort which has the beach and more activities.

We took a 3 bedroom apartment for 3 days with breakfast included.
Pros: Well appointed rooms, efficient hotel staff, nice pools, good beach front. Everything is conveniently compact - 3 minutes from room to pool. Kid/family friendly and food was decent. Close to a small mall, if needed.
Cons: Need more fruit and cereal choices at breakfast, in room WiFi is an additional charge, outdoor bars close at 10:30pm.

Location is good near a Al Hamra mall. I didn’t like that the hotel has two properties I didn’t know that before we went and we had a junior sweet in the village area that has only a pool and the rooms are straight on the pool. If you want to go to the beach you have to walk to the other property. We had to go to two receptions to do the check in it took a long time. It was Arabic night buffet but food was not good. Overall it was a pleasant stay but could’ve beeen better.

Long checkin - reservation discrepancies

I arrived at the location that I booked and they pulled my reservation, however they said it did not show breakfast nor pool side view. Took over 30 minutes going back and forth and looking at my email confirmation and the res in the hotels.com app to agree this is what I booked and paid for. Then I’m given a printout and told I’ve been upgraded (over booked die to dance festival...) to the property across the street. It is a nicer property however it took another 30 min there to get my key. The room was spacious but mot cleans well and the bathroom ceiling leaked.
Breakfast had a nice variety. However, I went toward the end, so when I asked for an omelette the chef said I could only get cheese and mushroom, I didn’t push it because I did see the remaining empty containers. Then a lady came after me and told him she wanted an omelet with all the delish veggies that I wanted and he asked someone to go to the back and get it. When I asked what was up with that he just smiled and said it was the end of breakfast.

Nice hotel for hangout with very good and many water activities and amazing staff except little misunderstanding with the booking that we made about the location of the rooms and the apartments. Also the kitchenware wasn’t available, only upon request. But overall the staff and especially Mr. Ahmed was very helpful and supportive, thank you very much really appreciated.

Good place although not the best value with food

In general the stay was great. Room clean, with very comfortable bed, thanks to reception staff, they gave us room with balcony facing the pool. You can use both territory of Al Hamra Village and Al Hamra Residence so total you have 3 pools, amazing beach, table tennis, health club and I think more facilities which I did not notice. The price for HB was ok untill we went for dinner and found out that they had very limited choices of food (literary we could eat only shrimps), all the rest food was salty or sour, super liquid soups with minimum ingredients, from all the desserts the only good one was chocolate cake, side dishes only rice and very simple vegetables. And water is not included. Fine, it happens, but the price of small bottle 18 dhs! Even on Sheikh Zayed in Dubai it will be 10 dhs max. And food of this quality you cannot eat without water so you have no choice. Free wi-fi works only in public areas and on the balcony, I cannot say that it made much inconvenience for me but the fact that to use Internet in the room I have to pay \"only 84 dhs\" (it's a quotation, please, tell the person who said this that 1 month Internet cost 200 dhs so 84 is not \"only\") makes me feel that the hotel tries to squeeze maximum money from guests for nothing, add to this 18 dhs water. Breakfast had more choices but the quality of sausages, cold cuts was very low and the bakery was not fresh although good variety. If you take RO or BB it is ok, but HB does not worth the money.

when we arrived they did not have our reservation in the system and took time to find it. They scrambled to find us a room and when they did, we went to the room and found the door open. We went inside and started to unpack and suddenly a maintenance man came in from the balcony! He came in and out 3 times fixing something on the roof and needed to get access from our balcony? In addition, the wifi in the rooms was chargeable at 80 AED per day!! Unbelievable that we have to pay this much for wifi in 2018. breakfast was average but the waiting staff was very friendly. Overall i would not book this hotel again

A bit disappointed as our hotel voucher said pool view rooms but when we got there they gave us one room overlooking the road and one with a garden view but no balcony. I complained to the management and they said it should not have said pool view as there are no standard rooms with a pool view. They said this was the fault of Hotels.com not them and they would be contacting the company. As a compromise they changed my daughters room to one with a balcony. The hotel itself was good and we upgraded to all inclusive which we found to be ok food and drink wise. We found the breakfast buffet good and the lunch time and evening meals in the palace part of the resort were very good.

We would rate Al Hamra Village somewhere between 2- and 3-star.
Pros: large balcony, 7-8 minutes walk to the beach, good English pub.
Cons: sleepless nights (no soundproofing at all), catastrophic breakfast experience (stale food, aircon does not work), broken sanitary fittings, horrendous sewerage smell, no free wifi.

Memorable weekend

A lovely overnight with so many surprises. It was my friends birthday and we decided to do it with Al Hamra Village...the best gift was the upgrade. The welcoming staff at reception was just too sweet and friendly. Our welcome was awesome. The room was a pleasure for sure. The breakfast is standard but there was something for everyone. However the Egg Station guy's day didn't start of to well. He was grumpy and didn't really listen to the order...did his own thing. The pool was refreshing as it was a bit hot. The surrounding area is quiet and safe. With Hamra Mall around 7min walk for a brewed coffee or some quick shopping. The Village Pub serves great bar good and very affordable especially with the complimentary discount voucher from reception. I've been here a few times and it will definitely not be my last. Affordable and of high quality. Thanks Hamra Villagr

We were a group of 4 couples with kids … We sure feel this hotel is NOT for anyone who likes service, and good welcome. WORSE check in ever, with loads of delay, staff asking for kids ORIGINAL ID though we had soft copies, and took 1 hour to say YES we will take the copies. No towels in rooms, bad room service, nothing in kitchen except fridge. No kitchenware nothing. breakfast had a waiting for 45mins, with basic layout. Pool was dirty, and to top of it, worse bar service. Extremely rude bar staff, who makes faces if you asked them a cup of popcorn for 4 pax buying loads of beer. During happy hours, they made half filled margaritas and gave another free for ladies who ordered. (Basically is making someone fool). Water sports is 3 times more expensive, and trust me IT IS EXPENSIVE! Dont waste your TIME and money, its not at all the way its been rated and looks like. Stay anywhere else, but not this one!

A pleasant stay!

After reading all the negative reviews about this place, I was not expecting too much but I was pleasantly surprised how much we have enjoyed our stay! We stayed here when it first opened and was very quite with not much going on. But now there is more things to do, with a lot more entertaining venues in the area. Yes the bathrooms needs updating (but everything worked!), the internet was frustrating (but managed to connect at times!) and breakfast selection could be a little bit better (although i was more than satisfied) overall it was good, clean and enjoyable. The staff were very helpful, quick to serve and always polite. For someone looking for serenity and exclusivity I would not recommend this place as it is busy. Well priced for what you get. We will definitely return!

Eligent Hotel, value for money.

Our one night stay was very satisfying. We booked 2 standard rooms at Al Hamra Village, but they allotted us a 2 B/R Suit at Al Hamra Residence. The suit was very good, specious, clean and had a nice view of the sea. The staff are friendly and well behaved. The swimming pools are very good, though bit crowded at times. Overall it was a nice experience staying at here.

This hotel should not be five starts , enterns for car was ony one way for enter and exit whitch it makes too much car and you havr to wait , breakfast , it was my first time in five stars hotel make me in waiting list to find a tabel for having a breakfast, the furniture in the room too old, there is only one TV in 2 bedrooms just in the living room and it was too old LCD , the price was too high with there's services, and the wifi was not free in the room and when we try to connect with it even we want to pay but we couldn't and even the reception couldn't help us,

actually I reserved the standard room in the hotel and when I reached they informed me that the standard room is only in the village and I had to check in after two hours driving in the village

standard room in the village is very small and bathroom is very old from dinosaur age and dirty and there was sewage smell and noise from neighbors as we could hear them.

they closed the pool @1530 I don't why , and no lights on the beach.

Convenient and clean hotel; look out for specials

The naming convention for resorts in this area is rather confusing and we only realized during check-in that we won't stay in the Al Hamra Residence but in the Village which is close by. The standard room in this village is relatively small but ok and came with a nice balcony; with one room we got upgraded and those rooms are rather spacious. The breakfast buffet is very good but it would be great if the Hotel Management did something about the noise level inside, maybe just something to put underneath the chairs to avoid the otherwise constant terrible screeching when people move their chairs. The pool area in the Village is very nice, too, so is the gym. And a short walk away do guests get access to the beach - also an area that is very well maintained

It's from the rare hotels that gives you a big space for the family, I booked 1 Bedroom suite & it was amazing so big separate living room, separate bed room with 2 bathrooms & Balcony sea view.

I stayed one night after checking out from room 12 PM we requested to use the swimming pool same as other hotel rota a and Hilton since I have good experience there but they refused even the manager with frozen face he spoke to us in very bad way his name is hani from Egypt on allow to us to use till 3 PM and it look like a favor from him we requested to use till 5 PM since I have 2 kids need to get some enjoy but he didn't accept at all
Really I am not happy at all and will not repeated again in same hotel it is very bad experience

It's a nice pleasant hotel to stay., the pools are clean and temperature controlled.
During check in the receptionist said my booking is for other village and golf resort. I mentioned my booking price and the apartment type .. Later checking with their reservations and they have upgraded me to two bedroom apartment which was not required for two adult and kid.
There is a kitchen with no utensils and no kettle to boil the water . I have to wait for about 45 minutes from the time I called for .overall an average and not maintained the 05 star status.

Very average, this is not a typical 5-star resort.

It's not very good.
The rooms are ok and the staff is friendly. And, that's it. The line at the breakfast in the morning is never less than half hour. Calling room service is impossible; I was on hold for 30 minutes.
When someone finally came on the line, they said I had to wait 40 more minutes to have my pizza done! I ended up eating at Al Hamra Mall.
This would all be ok if this weren't a 5-star resort, but it is, and as such, one expects a certain standard of service and amenities. I will not be staying here again, despite the price.

Lovely hotel for a beach holiday

Beautiful hotel, lovely suite with kitchen with equipment available on request. Ideal for preparing snacks and drinks as the bar is extortionate. Supermarket at mall close by very reasonable, alcohol cheap. Only downside to a wonderful location away from it all is that there was no indoor lounge bar, all bars outside and we had probably the only week of windy weather. There are several hotels nearby with bars and restaurants so it's a great base from which to explore. Breakfast buffet excellent. fish restaurant excellent. We were bed and breakfast but would recommend anyone getting a deal for all inclusive just to cover refreshments. Beds are quite firm! All in all a great place. Would go back all inclusive anytime. Staff were superb.

It was very nice. Had a beautiful suite however the kitchen was not fully stocked. No plates, pans, silverware??? So it was a bit frustrating trying to cook and put together a meal without all these necessary items. Had to ask the hotel to bring us some things. Also it was quite noisy due to no carpeting. Other than that it was a large, gorgeous suite and great outdoor facilities.

Lot's of annoying things

On arrival the reception warned me that my room next to the pool would be very noisy, so instead they gave me a room further away. Sound insulation? Apparently no, and the pool bar is open until 2am. The place seems fine at fist glance, but some things start to annoy: wifi didn't work and bathtub doesn't have a plug. And when calling the reception asking about these the phone line \"stopped working\" without apparent reason, while background and voices in the reception could be heard. Theres no chair for the room's office table. Lighting in the room is very dark. A lot of bird poo in the balcony. They need to pay more attention to the details. Luckily the room was very quiet and it was very easy to get a good sleep. The pool area seemed cozy.

Tilat ja maisemat olivat hienot. Palveluhenkeä sinänsä löytyi, mutta kaikki asiat eivät silti toimineet täysin odotetusti. Mahtava ranta: aktiviteetteja ostettavissa ja kuten itse sanoivat 50 aed on 50 aed ja 15 min on 15 min. Vesi kirkasta, eikä mitään yllätyksiä, uida voi miten paljon haluaa, Aktiviteetit tosin välillä nostatti aaltoja. Aamiainen suhteettoman kallis, ei kuulu hintaan, mutta jääkaappipakastin, mikro ja hella uusilla löytyy huoneesta. Vaikka huoneen varaa kolmelle on lisävuode silti lisämaksullinen ja kaikkia tarvikkeita on vain kahdelle, kolmas kylpypyyhe sentään saatiin, mutta ei kuppeja tai kasvopyyhettä yms., vaikka siis maksettiin lisävuoteesta. Sopiva kilsan kävelymatka kahta kautta kauppakeskukseen, josta löytyy kaikki tarvittava ja enemmänkin. Taksikin vain 7 aed, jos tuli ostettua enemmän. Tämä hotelli näkyy kauas sekä päivällä että erityisesti pimeällä.
