We had a decent stay, although it was noisy at times at around 4am onwards as we had rooms in the first atrium where people congregated whilst waiting to get picked up for numerous tours. Hot water also took about 10 minutes to arrive, which did not help when needing a quick shower.

Contacted the hotel for airport pick up. Double confirmed with them and provided airline details as stated by the hotel staff. They kept promising to pick me up. At the end, I waited 20 minutes and NO ONE came to the airport. Had to take an over priced taxi to the hotel and the front service staff did not care. Horrible first experience in Cusco. It is false advertising that they offer airport shuttle service.

The hotel has excellent location , just a block and a half from the Main Plaza. Unfortunately I encountered some renovation/construction the made it noisy and dusty. Administration stated it will take a couple of weeks. Service was good.

I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of the PeruHop bus tour, and i had such a nice stay! Liz at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, she helped me arrange a taxi at 5:30am to the airport when i had to leave and brought my clothes to the laundry, which was such a relief after a long trip! She was so kind and really made me feel welcome. The hotel itself is older and a little rough around the edges, but the rooms were clean and cozy, the breakfast was delicious, the water in the shower was piping hot, and the 24 hour reception was so helpful for early-morning tours and odd checkin/checkout times. The building is also very interesting, with big stone courtyards and multiple balconies. The surrounding area is also very walkable and safe; as a solo female traveler, I never felt unsafe walking to the hotel at night. The main square is a very short easy walk away, same for the local markets and parks. All in all, a great stay!

I am unfortunately disappointed in the service at this hotel. I booked through Hotels.com and got a single room with a double bed. Upon check-in, they said the room we reserved was unavailable but would be the following day, and we could move into it at 10 am. I agreed to this, and we stayed in another room. Morning time came; we were all packed up and ready to move to the next room. It wasn’t ready, but I understood the cleaning staff needed to get the room ready, so my partner and I went for a walk to the Plaza; the receptionist said it would be ready by 12. We got back to the hotel, and they said it would be ready right away. We waited, an hour went by, I asked again and still nothing! We didn’t get the room till 2 pm. We wasted our afternoon waiting around the lobby for our room to be ready.
On the last day, I checked out and asked if we could leave our bags with them while we went to Machu Picchu; they said they had a storage room and there were cameras. I returned in the evening, and our bags were moved to the front desk, once I got to our new hotel I saw that my white gold earrings were missing and I know I packed them that morning and placed them in their original box. They also did not give us a bag full of clothing items left behind in the room. I had to go ask for it when I asked for my earrings, after I was told that there was nothing left behind in the room.
On the last day, I checked out and asked if we could leave our bags with them while we went to Machu Picchu; they said they had a storage room and there were cameras. I returned in the evening, and our bags were moved to the front desk, once I got to our new hotel I saw that my white gold earrings were missing and I know I packed them that morning and placed them in their original box. Lobby staff are unfriendly and unwilling to give you details (for example, asked for a late check out, which they have a zero tolerance passed 9am they will charge you half your nightly rate until Noon and then nightly rate passed Noon - we didn’t mind paying the half rate but asked if we could stay until 2pm given we had booked 9 nights with them (last minute trip for the holidays) so they pretended to speak with their manager and still said no, so when I asked for the name of the manager they wouldn’t give it. I asked three different lobby employees for the name of the manager and they all made excuses to avoid giving me a name - so strange, but just made the experience from “you get what you paid for to terrible”

Cusco Plaza Saphy is at an excellent location just 5 min from Plaza de Armas. Area is safe. The rooms are clean with hot water, working wifi, friendly staff and simple buffet breakfast of bread, cereal, fruits, fried eggs, coffee and tea. Breakfast was not fantastic but gives you a warm and adequate start to the day. Coca tea is available all day for self-serve at hotel.

Cusco Plaza Saphy is bigger and I felt it's more comfy. Cusco Plaza Nazarenas is cosy but the room we had was smaller than at Saphy.
The down side of this hotel is that the check-out time is at 930am and should you decide to ask for late check out there's a charge. It's a shame they are not flexible with this, and we were there during off peak season with less tourists, so it would have been nice to check out later since our flight was at 2pm. However, they do allow you to leave your luggage in the store after checking out and to collect it later. Check-in is also earlier at 1030am as compared to most other hotels.

Cuzco Plaza II is a nice looking place with lots of potential to become a much better hotel. Its location, staff (wonderful) are the best . The only complaint I have is: the cleaning person doing the rooms never left towels for us I had to go to the front desk everyday asking for towels. Same thing happen with toilet paper but only a couple of time. The owner should pay attention to this details. Good breakfast. Clean, safe, excellent location. Very nice Staff.

OK, watch out for scams though
One of the hotel receptionists tried to scam us and initially wouldn't let us pay the price we'd booked on Expedia. During the conversation they even took the room price list off the wall (which isn't legal in some countries, not sure about Peru though), we stuck firm though and eventually they allowed us to pay the price we'd booked for. Watch out!
The hotel itself was ok, hot water most of the time, no safe in the room though. Fairly cleanish. You'd get a LOT more for your money in most other countries though.
