Argument with management

I got into an argument with the manager forcing me to find a new place to stay and putting a damper on my entire trip. Long story short I told the manager about a few issues I had and he blamed everything else except himself. I told him the wifi was spotty he insisted it was working. When I showed him that the network was unavailable he blamed the telecomm. I asked why my breakfast wasn't included if it says it is in my booking, he said it was not his problem since it was with the system. I also got stuck at the airport and missed most of my first night's stay. I tried to explain to him that from my point of view the frustration had mounted, I had paid for a night that I had barely used (checked in 22 hours after normal check in) and I didn't even get breakfast or wifi, which were the main reasons I made the booking. He didn't care, he said the first night was my fault if I checked in late, that he can only give breakfast if the system tells him so, and wifi is not part of the price so he has no obligation to offer wifi. I can understand network issues and I can understand not helping me with the previous night's booking, but his defensiveness about the issues was a huge turn off. I was prepared to book 2 more tours and 5 more nights, but I went to another place where they were upfront about what did and did not wok. I booked two tours with another travel company.

The staf is wonderful and work hard to make the tourists have a nice stay. Don't forget to get a reasit when you are paying for the room. I had to pay twice because I forgot to ask for the reasit.

The Hostel was in good condition and was great for the price. The only small issue we had was the free breakfast. We booked the room from Hotels.com which had stated that Breakfast was included along with free Wi-Fi. When we got there, the manager refused to acknowledge the free breakfast even though I had a print out of the confirmation that mentioned free breakfast. In the end we had to pay 10 soles per person for each breakfast. It's wasn't a big deal to pay for it but I was a little disappointed that the manager would not acknowledge what was advertised on HOtels.com. She knew we weren't going to go through the hassle of calling them from Peru and fight for it. Seemed a bit of a scam to make a few extra bucks.

Nice hotel close to the main square!

I stayed for 3 nights in June, 2015 after getting back from the Manu Jungle.
My room was tidy and had good facilities. The hostel was quiet, I'm not sure if it was the time of the year but there didn't seem to be many people around. Breakfast was great, I utilized their laundry services which were efficient and modestly priced. Would definitely recommend.

Nice, safe hostal.

The hostal is located not far from the main square. Hostal staff were pleasant and helpful. As a single female traveler, I felt safe and had no problem leaving my bags in their safe while I travelled to other parts of Peru. Breakfast was delicious, always with eggs and fresh fruit. I would definitely recommend this place. Great value!!

Nice location and quiet neighbourhood

The location is very close to the main square (Plaza de Armas) but neighbourhood was very quiet and safe.

\"Early morning prayers\"

I stayed for two nights and found the staff very helpful and the breakfast excellent. The proximity to the school with prayers and assembly over the microphone was somewhat surreal, but different! At times it sounded as if the headteacher/priest was outside my door. But this should not put you off staying at this delightful hostal.

Best hot shower in weeks! And fantastic breakfast

Really great. People were super friendly, room was clean, shower was hot, breakfast varied and delicious, good wi-fi and a comfortable lounge. Better than anywhere else we stayed in a Cusco.

Great location, comfortable, clean and helpful

Located just a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas, I had a really great time at this B&B. It has internet, constant Coca Tea (which is important for altitude adjustment), and a solid breakfast. Given the cost, I would certainly stay again.

The room had a wonderful view of the Cusco rooftops. A big bathroom with hotwater and bathtub/shower. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The location is perfect, the staff are very helpful, the rooms are clean and decent quality, and the amenities are nice, including filtered water in the lobby, breakfast including eggs, lots of TV channels, and a common area that includes two desktop computers with internet access. Overall, a great value for the price. We only have two complaints: (1) The soundproofing is terrible (but this seems to be true almost everywhere in Peru), and (2) Hot water tends to be unavailable in the mornings, so we had to shower in the afternoons/evenings. Overall, a great place to stay.

just okay...

This place was convenient but it was not overly comfortable or friendly. We did not have hot water on a few occasions also. Since this was a mid range price hostal I had expected it to be a little nicer (as compared to other hostals we had stayed in Peru for less money). Although it was fine and did have computers available and internet access for free, I would probably look for somewhere else to stay next time....The free coca tea for altitude was nice though.

Beautiful and Good Location

This hotel is located in the perfect spot for tourist attractions. The staff is helpful and booking day trips is very convenient. The interior is just beautiful, with brightly colored walls and pretty succulents. The only down fall is that you can hear everything that goes on, so if people have to wake up early...

あまりお勧めしません。。

場所は便利です。熱いシャワーも、部屋でのwifiも問題なし。
しかし、部屋が臭く(排水口から？)窓ガラスも割れたまま。シーツもほんとうに洗っているのか臭いました。hotels.comで朝食込みとあったのにオーナーが別料金だと言い張り若いスタッフが間に入って困ってました。スタッフは英語が出来なくても一生懸命でしたが、オーナーとは他の人達ももめていました。

Péssimo e Amador no contato com o cliente!!!!

O hotel e bem rústico e bonitinho!!!! E a localização e boa perto do centro.
Obs:
Mais o atendimento feito aos hóspedes e péssimo e amador!!!Na chegada ao hotel não tinha nossa reserva pelo hoteis .com e
depois no meio do café da manhã o atendente nos disse que não tínhamos direito e dissemos que sim então ele pediu para. Quando descemos mostrar a reserva a ele!!!! Um absurdo o atendente nos interromper o café para dizer que não podia!!!!! E nos só ficamos em hotel com café da manhã incluido.

Bien situé, mais ne veut pas respecter les termes

Cet hôtel est très bien situé, et la chambre adéquate pour le prix. À part la propriétaire, le personnel se débrouille difficilement en anglais.

Point majeur: nous avons perdus un temps fou à notre départ, car on ne veut pas y respecter les termes de la réservation faite via Hôtel.com.
Malgré que nous ayons fournis toutes les preuves imaginables, on voulait nous charger un extra pour les déjeuners, qui étaient pourtant inclus, et une surcharge de 5% pour payer avec une carte de crédit.

Best shower in Peru

Best shower in Peru so far, beautiful breakfast and unbelievablely helpful staff. When I had red spots on my arms, legs and face, I had no idea why, the maneger Eli came with me to a drugstore and help to buy medicine. Thanks so much! Definitely come back Teatro Inka again when visiting Cusco.

Deceiving and bad service

I made two reservations through hotels.com for this hotel and obtained the confirmations with the specific price for the night and service included which was breakfast and wifi, very basic, and for this, I already entered my credit card so I thought everything was set. But When I arrived they tried to charge me in cash or an additional fee for using my credit card. Also they charged me a additional tax because I was using my Peruvian ID even though I booked it with US account. The confirmation said that stay included breakfast, we were able to have breakfast only one day, when I came back on Saturday for my second reservation they tried to charged for the breakfast we had on Thursday; according to them on their confirmation they did not included breakfast. I complained and showed them mine, but they still argued in the end I did not pay for it, but it was already a very upsetting situation.
I have use hotels.com and normally the hotel would honor the confirmation with price set, but they tried to CHANGE AND ADD CHARGES to it. I ended paying the additional tax for the first reservation because I didn't bring my American passport, just my Peruvian ID.
I requested a hair dryer, they told they would being it in an hour , they never did. Next day I asked for it and they told me they didn't have one. I tried to cancel my reservation but it was non refundable through hotels.com
Overall it was HORRIBLE service, very unprofessional, and dishonest with prices.

POCA HOSPITALIDAD/ FEW HOSPITALITY

Nada recomendable. Habitaciones sin ventilación, mal funcionamiento del agua caliente. A pesar de haber pagado dos noches y sólo aprovechar una por problemas en los vuelos, nos negaron el poder llevarnos un trozo de pan del desayuno para poder comer a mitad mañana. Bastante miserable.
Not recommended. Dark and not ventilated rooms, bad working of the hot water. We only spent one of the two nights that we payed, due to flight problems, and they didnt allow us to take a bread for eating later. Miserable.

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Sehr schöne Atmosphäre in diesem Haus mit gemütlichem Innenhof. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet. Leider sind die Fenster aus nur sehr dünnem Glas. Das kann für empfindliche Personen ein Problem sein. Sehr gutes Frühstück inklusive.
