Great location, but not the best room

Breakfast and customer service was the best part of our stay. Breakfast had a lot of options include make your own waffles. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lobby area is beautiful. Room was TINY with no room to put luggage for 2 anywhere. Window looked out into the hallway. Bathroom was TINY, dirty and can use a deep cleaning or renovation. Also, we were able to hear the couple in the adjoining room through the bathroom vent... we heard their conversation, them going to the bathroom, etc. Unfortunately, they were talking pretty late into the night making it difficult to sleep. Bed was comfortable.

The hotel was in a good area for walking, but a little bit noisy so we didn’t sleep all that well. But we got last-minute emergency rooms after our VRBO reservation host didn’t show up and left us stranded on the street.

My stay in the beautiful Terra Andina Colonial Mansion in Cusco which was a very good experience. The staff was always very helpful with my many questions. We stayed with them before and after our hike on the Inca Trail. They even stored our bag while we hiked. We enjoyed being able to sit in the quiet restaurant for a meal or snack after a busy day.

1-star rating because of theft from our luggage. Before we left for the day, we tried to use the in-room safe, but were unable to get it to work. We should have gone to the front desk and had them fix the safe. We left 4 envelopes with money in my husband’s backpack and secured all the latches. We left the hotel at 8 am and returned at noon. Upon our return my husband noticed that the latches on the backpack were open. He looked inside and saw envelopes, but we should have counted the envelopes to insure all were there.
We checked out the next morning and went with a private guide in his private car and were out of Cusco for two days. During that entire time, the backpack was either with us or locked in the trunk of his car. Upon returning to Cusco to a different hotel and repacking, we noticed 2 of our envelopes were missing for a total of $700 USD. The 2 envelopes which were not touched had Chilean pesos.
Our Cusco guide went with us back to Colonial Mansion to help us with this problem. The room cleaner had been employed there for many years with no problem. They said they could look at security video to see who was in the area during that 4-hour window. We asked them to have the manager call our guide and they took his number and said he would call us that day. They never did.
The hotel is clean, well maintained, and has comfortable beds, but if you choose to book here, make sure to take all precautions for your valuables. Having $700 stolen leaves sour taste.

The service team they have was simply superb!! Once you get there you will be amazed by the decoration but most of all their staff is very warm and welcoming. Wherever you might need they are there for you. Really pleased with the chefs and his amazing dishes to the staff itself.

This is a great place to stay while in Cuzco: great building, location, and breakfast. The only reason I did not give full stars is because of the noise. Voices and sounds carry too far in the building, even though we were in the back which was supposed to be quiet. I would still stay there again, though.

Location is descent, right near San Pedro Market and 2 grocery stores and it’s a short walk to everything. Rooms aren’t great, few rooms have outside facing windows. I stayed in 2 rooms and both were very loud because the windows open to the hall or overlook the dining room. The floors in my room weren’ty clean and a hair remained on the wall in the bathroom for the 3 nights I was there. Beds are comfy.

The staff was accommodating and friendly in every possible way. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful. The location was great. We spent one night then left for Machu Picchu and returned for another two nights. For the second round the window in the room opened to the breakfast space rather than to outdoors but the windows were double so there was no noise and we did open it at times also.

Its a nice colonial property and we had 3 twin beds that are good for all 3. The bed itself is very firm if youre looking for a budget place. It has a free buffet breakfast, decent enough but the staff was wonderful at breakfast time. Gracias Francisco.:)
Our room was on the 3rd floor and all stairs. Room was cold and no central heater but they provided a portable one. Overall, its OK if youre on a budget and has a good location -really close to San pedro Market and walking distance to lots of restaurants.

Great location 1 minute from San Pedro Market. Also 1 minute from a huge grocery store where you can stock up on things. 5 minutes from Plaza de Armas. Very tasty buffet breakfast with cook to order eggs, local flavors, and lots of tea. Staff were very helpful in arranging transportation either to airport or Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo). We stayed here on both ends of our foray into the Sacred Valley and would do so again!

The staff and location were amazing. WiFi did not work most of the time and the water showering went hot then cold BUT it was a refreshing shower. That is the worst I can say. Florencio was amazing at breakfast everyday and the breakfast was VERY good. I would return in the future.

The property is centrally located in the older part of Cusco, in close walking proximity to the San Pedro market, San Pedro train station (going to Macchu Picchu), and just a bit farther to the San Francisco Plaza and the Plaza de Armas. It is located along a nondescript side street. The hotel is nice, for Cusco I'd give it 4 stars out of 5. The rooms are small-to-average in size. The hotel staff is excellent. They are very friendly and helpful. There are various teas served all day, and the morning breakfast is very good. The rooms are basic but very clean and tidy. The primary reasons for booking this hotel are its central location, favorable price, and the excellent staff. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Quiet colonial hotel near Historical Cusco

From the moment we entered the door we knew we were in a special place. We were greeted immediately by the friendly and professional staff. We were offered a hot tea as well as a helpful little map of the area. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. Florencio, the gentleman who made our omelettes at breakfast the next morning was courteous and eager to please. Would return to this quiet, lovely hotel as we were treated so well and it is not too far from historical Cusco sights.

This served as our base for 2 different multi day treks which resulted in staying in 3 different rooms. All the rooms were excellent. The rooms were more upscale than we normally get but the \"spa-like\" bathrooms were appreciated by my wife after the sketchy facilities on the treks. Close located to main squares; fresh food market, supermarket and laundry services within 100m. No view but do not have to climb much to the hotel. Excellent breakfast in the covered terrace. After breakfast, the terrace converts to a full service dining room which does not make the terrace a place to hang out. This is a very nice hotel with great service. If you are budget oriented, this hotel has more than you need.

We were in a room with 3 single beds. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and less fatty. Colonial mansion converted into a hotel. If I ever go back, I will stay at the same hotel.

We were unfamiliar with the city, but found this hotel to be near the farmers market, easy walking distance to all the attractions, restaurants and shops. Home Away From Home

Terra Andina Colonial Mansion, a charming little gem of a hotel, has a very special place in our memories of Cusco. In an established Cusco building with great stone arches, beautiful woodwork and colonial décor, it hosts comfortable lounging areas and a full dining room We stayed there for eight nights, with a one-night break to visit Machu Picchu. Arriving in Cusco, our luggage was lost, and we were detained at the airport for a long and difficult time addressing the issue. The driver the hotel had sent kindly stayed with us throughout. Arriving at the hotel far later than expected and without our bags, we were a sight. The staff overwhelmed us with their kindness and welcome. Florencio in the dining room graciously presented our dinner and soothed some of the stress. We were without luggage for most of our stay, and staff members called the airport and their contacts there everyday to do everything they could to find our suitcases (far more than LATAM). Edwin, the staff member who always rushed to assist and could not have been kinder, helps everyone in the equation with his language skills. The hotel is in walking distance to some of Peru’s finest restaurants, the central Plaza Armas, the San Pedro Quechua Market, and Cusco’s best museums. They’ll also hold your luggage in a secure room if you do the side-trip to Machu Picchu from Cusco. When it came time leave, we felt like we were leaving family. We are grateful to everyone at Terra Andina & loved every minute in Cusco.

This hotel was almost-great. Great room, service, breakfast. However the bathroom let it down. The shower had no pressure and the temperature wouldn't remain stable, and the bath took forever to fill as it was practically a hot tub! They did allow us a late check out and took care of our luggage too though, and the bed was extremely comfortable!

Overall a please take stay. On the day before we went to Machu Picchu, the suitcase holder collapsed on my wife’s foot which almost broke it. The staff were very casual in their reaction and took over 10 minutes to get ice for her foot. Also, don’t stay on the ground floor. You will hear everything.

Perfect Location and Amazing Staff

Terra Andina was the perfect hotel for our 2 nights in Cusco. I thought about booking a hotel close, to the main square, but wanted peace and quiet that was a 5-10 min walk instead. It was also closer to Plaza San Francisco, which I liked better. It had more local restaurants and less tourist traps. Also a block away is the San Pedro Market, which had souvenirs, a farmers market and food stands.

The staff was also very helpful. I went on a day trip to Rainbow Mountain which left at 3:30 am, which was before the 5:00 am breakfast. So they made bag lunches for us to take on our trips. The next day we were able eat the breakfast, which was delicious! They had a chicken stir fry, steamed veggies, an omlette bar, fruit, toast, cereal, fried plantain, bread and orange cake.

I would stay here again for sure and highly recommend it. You’re close enough to the action, without the noise, close to local food and taken care of by a great staff!

The hotel is in a great location, the staff is extremely kind and helpful and they have a nice interior patio for breakfast. We stayed there twice. During the first morning we had trouble with the pipes in the bathroom, however it was quickly solved. The rooms in the first floor can be a little noisy, so we requested a room in the second floor the next time and it was nice and quiet.

Very noisy as people leave for treks at 4am, all rooms facing courtyard where breakfast is so cannot reduce noise. Not willing to provide us breakfast before our trek to go, which seems basic. Additionally moved us to another hotel after our trek due to leak problems, probably ended up better off.
