The character of the hotel is very charming. Wuiet as well. Of special note were the showers. I have never had such a wonderful shower. Great water pressure and loads of hot water.

Most importantly it was quiet at night, nice shower with really hot water and the people working there are really great. They even went out of their way to help me a few times.

We arrived late in the evening after a flight from Lima, only to be told the hotel had gone bankrupt and was under “new management” – but they didn’t honor our reservation and didn’t even have a new hotel name. We were left stranded and had to pay cash just to have somewhere to sleep. It was incredibly stressful and completely unprofessional. This place should not be listed on Expedia – they are scamming travelers and taking money for bookings they don’t honor. Avoid at all costs!

Clean, excellent location, good pricing. But zero sound isolation. Can hear everything in rooms next door and lobby, including people talking and using the washroom. Lobby also blasts music in early morning and evening.

I visited in the winter. I slept in one of the teepees and loved it! The teepee farm was tranquil, super clean, and a bit cold—but luckily the extra blanket provided was just what I needed. Everyone who stayed in the area was very respectful and quiet. Staff was also very kind, and supplied oxygen on request when I first got in, to help me acclimate. Just a short walk from everything you need.

A really great option for Cusco - the location couldn't be better and the staff are lovely, and speak really good English as well as Spanish. I liked the informality and the way I could chat to people in the common areas, but also have my own room, which was really comfortable and like a hotel. It can be a bit noisy as the common areas and rooms are right next to each other, so bring ear plugs. There's no porters or phones in the room to call reception - in that sense it is very much a hostel. The breakfast is really good. It felt very safe as a solo female traveller.
I also highly recommend the hostel's tour organising service, which I used to go to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. They're so helpful and arrange everything for you.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We got a private room with our own bath and it was lovely. The staff was very friendly and the hotel held on to our bags for us while we trekked Machu Picchu. The food in the hotel was delicious, we stayed here before and after our trek and after we just wanted room service, which was served hot, delicious, and fresh. We loved the community feel and the location is really hard to beat. Overall - we would love to stay here again.

We stayed in a private room which was spacious and a good sized bathroom. The drain did smell (which we alerted management about) and putting the floor mat over the drain did the trick. Location was excellent and the kitchen and common area were great, plus a tasty onsite cafe and bar. This was a great base during our time in Cusco.

So if your planning to go to Machu Picchu or have any early morning excursions I highly recommend to book elsewhere because you will not be able to sleep! This hostel is incredibly loud until all hours of the night. From door slamming to people dragging their luggage up and down the tile stairs to music playing late nights. It’s really a place for hipsters who are more looking to socialize and meet new people. So if that’s your vibe go for it. But I was there for the excursions for Machu Picchu and a lot of tours require us to wake up early so please consider. Also they don’t offer any healthy gluten free options. There included breakfast only includes 4 meal selections. It’s not like a breakfast buffet. It’s pancakes or fruit and granola or eggs and bread or an avocado toast. Just a heads up these were things I wish I knew before booking.

The person in charge said that was their “theme” no tv in most rooms. If I would of know this I would of stayed in a different place. The room was definitely overpriced for a place like this.

LOOK ELSEWHERE! The property has a nice vibe to it (a lot of young people backpacking thru Peru) and the food in the restaurant is good/convenient (albeit a bit $$ for what it is). The rooms are basic and mostly clean if you get a room with a hardwood floor (my friends had hardwood floor - nice&clean, our room had a pretty dirty carpet). There was hot water all the time. Now for the BAD, there is NO noise insulation in the rooms whatsoever! There are a number of rooms that face the inner courtyard with live music until 10 pm, which is fine BUT their kitchen and janitorial service start at 4 am and you will hear every single noise and people talking. No way to get any rest overnight if you need some. My family was lucky and our room was fine. My friends on the other hand had to checkout after a single night as their room was unusable and super noisy. More disappointing was that the management was completely uncooperative. They did not negate the issue with the room but refused to even discuss a partial refund (my friends used 1 out of 7 booked nights). I then contacted Expedia a number of times and spent hours with their representatives on the phone ($$), who were nice but could not get in touch with the hotel since they did not have accurate information about the property or their manager. The hotel gave me a run around about the manager's contact info / office hours, who was impossible to reach for days, which I believe was on purpose. Beware! No recourse if any problem!

Hotels.com will say that they charge in local currency but it is in USD! There are better hotels around. They never changed our sheets, even though we didnt put the sign on there not to change it. The tub does not drain properly, had to turn off the water during the shower so it doesnt pool to your ankles.

The room was very basic: a bed, desk, two wooden chairs, a wardrobe & TV. The toiletries were limited to soap, shampoo in a dispenser in a shower that did not lather, and a mystery substance in another dispenser in the shower. The front desk did not have any shaving cream, even though a booklet in the room stated they had it. The bed was firm and comfortable. The power outlets were oddly placed and made power conversion tricky. We could hear every word of every conversation in the hallway and lobby off of our room, not very acoustically private. Bottle of water was included in the room, but was not replaced daily, only two bottles per reservation. Breakfast began at 5am, however, was not completely set up at that time. If you eat later breakfast contained: scrambled eggs, bacon, crepes, fried plantains, juices, toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit & coffee. Staff was very friendly but not super knowledgeable about the area or local restaurants.I would stay here again, location was easily accessible. Free Wi-Fi.

The front desk staff is friendly, they also helped us make restaurant reservations and a cab to the train. Breakfast is included which had a decent selection of items. The rooms were clean. The shower area has a rather high ledge which may be a problem for those with less mobility. I stayed on the third floor. Noise can be a problem as I could hear entire phone conversations happening nearby but it was all quiet at bedtime since most people are up early to go to Machu Picchu or another tour. There is no elevator but that wasn’t a problem for me. Location is great as it is right off Plaza de Armas. Would recommend as a place to stay at in Cusco.
