Great location in the historic center. Beautifully decorated hotel as rooms are well appointed with large spacious bathrooms, comfortable beds, and enough storage. Staff was excellent. Don't miss having the included brunch on at the rooftop restaurant. You can hear the cathedral bells from next door. Will definitely stay here again when I come back.

Wonderful place to stay in the Historic District. Easy walking distance to so many important sites. There was a fair amount of street noise for rooms facing Cinco de 5 road. But the view was beautiful.

The property was beautiful. We booked a junior suite during a Black Friday offer and it was just lovely. Spacious with a table and seating area, large bathroom and shower, and beautiful wood beamed ceilings and a wall of windows overlooking the Zocalo. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel's cafe had free everything but alcohol for guests, which was incredibly helpful for us to grab bottled water coming and going. They had coffee, snacks and even wraps or pizza too. The hotel restaurant, El Balcon del Zocalo, had very nice breakfasts. They were included in our rate, and given how good the food was and that the restaurant was covered but open air overlooking the Zocalo, we enjoyed it every morning before going out for the day. Our last night in town we had dinner there too and the food was very good. They also had a nice selection of Mexican wines to try. The wait staff were excellent. The location right on the Zocalo had its advantages and disadvantages. We were right on top of many sights we wanted to see - the Cathedral, Templo Mayor, Palacio Nacional, Museo Vivo del Muralismo, etc., but it was also noisy in our room overlooking the Zocalo. There was a cultural festival going on while we were there that contributed to the noise, but overall, it was a delightful opportunity to be close to the action and walk out our door and join the festival. I would definitely go back here if we stayed in the Centro Historico again.

I loved my stay at Zocalo Central Hotel. Its location is unbeatable, and the rooftop restaurant offers the magnificent view of constitutional Plaza !! I appreciated staff there for their Valuable assistances. Lovely Fernanda and Christian! Ivan lent me his iPhone Charger and Roberto was helping out to carry my languages. The Lovely Fernanda is so pleasant to greet me every time I return from my day trips and explained the history of Mexico City to me. There is something Angelic about Fernanda ! The staff is incredibly friendly, especially Jose Luis who can be found at the entrance, always offering a friendly smile and warm greeting upon entering the hotel. He was incredibly helpful in getting a really quick transportation service to the airport when I was stuck waiting for my second uber attempt after the first cancelled due to unexpected street closures. Jose Luis stepped in and got us a taxi within 5 minutes ensuring we made it to our flight on time. Thank you Jose Luis and the staff at Hotel Zocalo Central. 100% recommended.

The roof top restaurant is amazing. Their tasting menu is on the verge of becoming Michelin star rated. A truly Mexican inspired tasting menu that explores indigenous roots. The hotel was built in the 17th century and is absolutely gorgeous. The complimentary buffet breakfast, 24 hour café with free food/beer and the historical zone tour are excellent amenities! My only complaint is the internet upload speeds could be much better. But otherwise will definitely stay here again when visiting Mexico City. It’s perfectly centrally located and ubers are extremely affordable to get around the city. For example; a 45 min uber ride only cost me £8. FYI traffic is horrible here. But this is a metropolitan city, it’s expected.

Love this hotel. All staff are so friendly and welcoming and we were lucky to have an early check in which we really appreciated. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and the bathroom has a powerful shower! Breakfast on the rooftop balcony has a good variety of all foods which can be served to you or you can choose at the buffet. Views from there are amazing overlooking the Zócalo. We loved the snack bar where there were drinks and snacks available free 24hrs a day! We will be returning!

We stayed with ours children during the spring break. The hotel is in a central location and very close to many great restaurants, shops and museums. Ours room has a great view of the cathedral and we also enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the rooftop restaurant of the hotel. It’s has a direct view of the Zocalo. The staff is very nice and professional. it’s a great hotel and we would definitely come back!

The location is ideal for walking around Centro. Lots of museums and other sites within 15 minutes walk. Our room was a junior suite. Very roomy and came with a concierge Victor. He was amazing. He looked after every detail for us. Breakfast was included and it wasn’t just buns and toast. There were many selections available. Hot and cold. There is also a cafe open 24 hours right next to the lobby. Everything there was complimentary with the exception of alcoholic drinks.

Everything was wonderful! From the Location, the decor, the size of the rooms, the staff, the beautiful rooftop restaurant with great cocktails, and an amazing menu. You have the beautiful view to the cathedral and the Zokalo and although you right in the middle of everything, the rooms are very quiet. The mattresses are super comfy. The beds, however, were way too soft and interfered with our sleep. We also couldn’t figure out the coffee maker after several attempts. There should have been instructions.
