There was insufficient lighting inside the room, and it was very dark during nighttime hours. Additionally, the sliding shower doors were broken. Otherwise the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. I would recommend to others.

Terrible experience – avoid this hotel

Despite having a confirmed reservation, the hotel staff forced me to pay additional euros upon arrival. This happened at 2:00 a.m., when I was traveling with babies, which made the situation even more distressing.

While they were “sorting it out,” they made us wait outside in the cold with our babies instead of immediately helping us or letting us stay inside. No apology, no urgency, and shockingly, not even a glass of water was offered at that hour.

This is not how a “premium” hotel should treat guests—especially families with infants. The lack of professionalism, basic hospitality, and human decency was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly if you are arriving late or traveling with children.

Unfortunately this was a poor experience. We were initially in a superior room and the toilet was not flushing. Staff inspected and changed us to another superior room one floor down. Likely due to backed up sewage pipes, the room smelled terrible. There was also constant alarm system on throughout the night. Personally would not be lodging at this facility in the future. Despite proximity to airport, I would look elsewhere.

The rooms were clean and nice. But, the lighting in the room was very dim, and there was no bed side light, just a glow behind the head board.

The location is a bit off the beaten path, so once you are at the hotel, you are staying at the hotel, with no where to walk to.

There is no alcohol, so be prepared. Dinner is listed in euros and is expensive for what you get.

Lots of stairs with no accessibility options. While there are elevators in the buildings, there are steep stairs into the restaurant, and into the building we stayed in.

The staff was fine. My issue with the hotel is that it looked nothing like the pictures, it’s extremely outdated and there is a smell throughout the hotel that smells like cleaner or bug spray. The only place to eat is their restaurant and it was very expensive for what it was. Also, the hotel is close to the airport but far away from anything. There is not a single store or anything within walking distance. For me, as a solo female traveler this actually feels very unsafe. If something happened you wild have nowhere to go. I was also promised a breakfast box because my room came with breakfast but I was leaving at 5AM, yet, I did not recorded the breakfast at all. This is a 2-3 star hotel at best. I would not stay here again,

Beautiful property close to the airport.

Only four miles from the airport. Staff are friendly and spoke English. Rooms were very clean. The entire property was very well maintained felt very safe. We had a free upgrade to a jr suite. Resturant was a little slow to Serve but the food was great. Highly recommend!

No reading lamps and poor overall light so unpacking was very difficult
The bathroom was also in poor condition with shower drain slow so pooled water when showering. The light over the mirror was broken and flickered constantly. Two lovely balconies had unlockable doors
No body lotion supplied.

In short it was a quiet hotel, set in lovely gardens with willing staff but in hotel in poor condition. The food we ate was good enough. The airport to hotel car transfer of about 15 minutes was €60 return

I highly recommend this hotel. It was a cute getaway just for the night needed to get to and from the airport. They have a shuttle, which made it super convenient and the staff went above and beyond. The hotel was clean and I felt very safe I am a single woman traveling from America and my phone broke and they were so super helpful to me and went out of their way to try to accommodate me. I’ll be back!

This is a lovely hotel very close to the airport. The grounds are beautiful, staff are friendly, the restaurant is excellent and open until midnight, and the rooms were incredibly clean. The shuttle service to the airport is also extremely easy and convenient and they are very communicative about the pickup. Hope to stay here again!

Reason for travel - 1 night close proximity to airport. In the night its noisy we were woken up 2 times because of inconsiderate other guests (no security or rules) - defeated the purpose of staying. Would have rather stayed where we were before in Istanbul city and slept properly.

You can hear everything when someone flushes the toilets, takes a shower which is all at random times of the night because others are also catching their flights. They packed all the visitors in our block it felt like.

Secondly restaurant is ridiculously expensive for what it is.

Would not stay and waste money here again.

What to say. I thought hotel was only suitable and convenient. . I arrived late night and didn’t notice much except welcomed by not friendly reception and very friendly bellboy.
Breakfast was ok ish. Cold and no choice except Turkish maze and eggs on the platter.
I don’t understand why breakfast was cold.
Hotel location very remote area behind the airport which takes 15 minutes by taxi. Cost €30 each way or €50 two ways if you negotiate with transfer agents……!!!!!
Around the hotel ….. there is a nothing, absolutely nothing, no shops, no restaurant. Only place that you want to eat is extremely over priced hotel restaurant. I attached the menu pics.
Had meat balls which 5 peace’s of meat patties on extremely cold mush potatoes. Taste wise …… 3 out of 10.
Other issues are ….. hotel is dry hotel. There is a no bar or no alcohol. Even not allowed to bring it with you also delivery food plus anything else. Weird.
Hotel.com should advertise as DRY HOTEL.

Ok not so practical. Small and dark. No bedside storage and no place to hang your clothes in the bedroom except you can place it on sofa or around the lounge room.
I don’t criticise much when I travel but sorry guys I can’t be quite in this situation.
Be aware when you book this hotel.
After long flight if you want something to drink , you have to smuggle in to the hotel and drink quickly and quietly…… .
Over all I won’t stay here again .

The road to the hotel was terrible and was blocked by machines working on the road. The taxi driver suggested to drop us appropriately 400 meters away from the hotel . As we had luggages and the road was not paved we couldn’t walk that much and thus went to another hotel.

Staff was great. Location is bad and hotel quality not so great. Our taxi driver was very upset about having to take us there late at night but the alternative was to overpay for the expensive private shuttle the hotel offered. The rooms were humid, smelly, with no hot water. Not worth the money but doable for one night if you have a long lay over.

Cemal and the team at the hotel were very warm and friendly. They made us feel extremely comfortable and accommodated our requests for early check in. Extremely prompt service. They even gave us tips on staying safe while using Uber or taxis. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and the premises and rooms are clean. The restaurant serves delicious food and has a good choice of options catering to most diets. The restaurant staff- Hilal was even kind to give us free Ayran drink which was not on the menu. Overall I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a place near the airport

This is a great hotel for an overnight stay if you are transferring from Istanbul airport. The facilities were very modern and clean. It is about 15 min from the airport and easy to come with a taxi.

This hotel was top notch. It’s clean, it’s quiet and breakfast was excellent. They have the most comfortable beds. There is road work going to the hotel but it’s really not a deal breaker. Not to mention, the airport is only 15 minutes away. Our one night stay was perfect.

We use this hotel whenever Istanbul is our connecting flight airport and always find our stays at Menalo delightful and relaxing. Their VP shuttle service is impeccable, rooms are clean and spacious, their staff is very welcoming and helpful, the restaurant provides great authentic food options, and overall hotel premises with lots of greenery and flowers are charmingly beautiful. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to escape the chaos of multi-day travels and feel pampered and relaxed while in transit.

Staff are very bad

Staff need to be called to take your order otherwise they stand there like staues. When the food did arrive it was cold. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Cheaper hotels are of better quality and have better staff

This hotel is alcohol free, which is frankly ridiculous when you call yourself an “airport hotel”. It is also extremely conservative with regards to couples staying who are unmarried, OR who are married but don’t share a surname.

Additionally, the location is remote, with no supermarkets or non-hotel food options near (or allowed). As a result the hotel restaurant price gouges beyond belief - €9 for a bottle of water!!!

To attract international tourists for an airport stay and then force your religious beliefs on your guests is not ok in 2024. I do not recommend at all.

The Menalo property was stunning. Beautiful grounds, quiet, and only 15 minutes by car or taxi. The room was very clean and nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend for someone who wants a luxury experience just a few minutes from the airport.

It's a great place to stay between flights. Very clean, stylish, new equipment, beautiful restaurant, amazing fruits. All employees are so nice and helpful.
Just don't be scared when you turned from highway and drive 5 minutes till the hotel, it's a village road even with dogs. They looks so poor and unhappy. It made me sad :(. Very recommend this hotel, love it!

No alcohol served!

We are on the one night stay for a flight transfer. I chose it because of the closeness to the airport. Very disappointed that it’s not made clear that this hotel doesn’t sell or serve alcohol and it’s not even very close to any shops so after a long journey we’d like to have had a nice glass of wine with dinner. I think should make Clare that this hotel does not have alcohol. Saying that it wasn’t a bad day the room was big and the staff upgraded us.
